we were promised ambient animations to make AI feel human. stuff like pissing, taking selfies, smoking, sitting. guess where that is? it certainly isn't in 1.0! it was taken out of the game in the ADAM update and now it's completely gone
we were promised a SWAT game where the suspects would surrender if overwhelmed. I still vividly remember me and a group of 4 dudes rushing a suspect FROM BOTH SIDES and he STILL ended up shooting even when he was OUTNUMBERED and FLANKED
I would like to see suspects surrender, try to escape rather than pulling out gun all the time. Just like SWAT 4 they would mostly run or hide and they would surrender too.
I mean yea suspects still take gun fights even if they're outnumbered and flanked even in real life

With the way AI behaves now it feels like RoN would be better suited as a SF/tier 1 military sim rather than a SWAT sim, every mission ends up turning into a gunfight with fanatical extremists hellbent on protecting their precious bitcoin farm with their lives
also i saw some footages that they said you can see AI suspects make traps and stuff and meth suspects are punching air. But i NEVER saw any
i want suspects to actually try to evade us. the game should give us the choice of "Do I shoot him for running?? Do I give chase?" rather than having suspects practically remain static while shooting their tec 9s at us
90% of irl SWAT interactions end within seconds of SWAT breaching since very few people have the will to try and fight them to the death. So they usually are already waiting with their hands up.

Real swat situations have real risk, high adrenaline etc they can't simulate that to account for slow reaction times that exist in real life, so they have to make their reaction times semi fast
We have no real risk in this game so we'll have fast reaction times because we aren't scared, we're zoned in

Those mods can't fix the fundamental issues with the AI gameplay flow. The AI will still behave poorly and unrealistically, and even if you crank those parameters all the way down they'll still wallbang you to death and spot you through the 3 open pixels in a poorly modeled wall.

110 hours with vanilla AI playing every day at least 3 hours without any problems.
Only problem I experienced is the laser through a wall for a second, but that happens rarely.

I agree to an extent, but if the devs simply change some numbers but there are still underlying issues from things that are external (e;g: holes in walls that they can see through) then nothing much was really fixed. That’s why there are planned fixes coming in the near future.
i tried the popular AI mods, once. it was a walk in the park. less then lethal S rank easy .... so yeah Base AI might not be PERFECT but atleast its not brain dead

Well, I want to let you know that most of the people I play with are over the age of 22 working full time jobs, have enough time to not only play but not have skill issues and fight against the AI on vanilla.
The problem is the wallbanging. If that issue gets fixed there is 0 issues with the AI. Every AI mod is literally a walk in the park, you can chug 10 bottles of vodka with music on maximum and still consistently kill every enemy AI without them even trying to shoot you.

just using your rifle and peek the areas with your upper body actually makes the game easier

yeah play it slow, tactical. its not that crazy if you go in lethal.
ceramic armor combined with armorer officer, absorbs 8 bullets at the very least
and even if you bleed, you actually get your health back after patching it up
so force on force combat is, quite unironically in your favor

They do that for me, after they shoot at you they usually retreat or after killing a swat officer they change locations.
Jugs ai for example makes ai behavior more dynamic. Like actually barricading taking cover, hiding

I can only speak for myself but it just doesn't feel like an actual 1.0, "full" release. Not saying it needed to be completely finished and without the possibility for expansion/bug fixes, but it definitely seems like they rushed certain aspects out the door at the last minute

I'm also a bit confused because it seems like a ton of features in 1.0 weren't playtested beforehand. We saw a couple small things in the supporter edition, but dynamics like the morale system/commander mode kinda came out of nowhere.

For me the game looks pretty good and finished (just some bugs). I started playing with 1.0 release only. The game is really big and you have many hours to play with friends and solo. But for some who already played for a long time in the "early access", of course is not enough and you want more and more and more. Maybe there isn't more, and you should just move over to other games. Simple as that.

Yes, basically on some maps some doors might be (randomly) trapped with a tripwire with a grenade or a flasbang. So remember to check for those
sometimes they can if they are stood outside of it.
Clear as much of the room from the outside as you can. Pie the door/entry. Use the mirror gun. If there's multiple entries consider doing simultaneous breaches with your two teams. When you decide to make entry for the love of christ don't stand there in the doorway. Get into the room and control the space.

I tried this. To get my team to all die by breaching a trapped door. They stopped and said its trapped-not sure if thats just for me!

Certain SWAT members can see traps through doors, i'm unsure if the Veteran perk gives them that
But they can throw nades at you?
its a shame but because the AI can see a single pixel of you and insta lock on, even through smoke or grass, so even when you move behind cover and a while later they still aimbotting you. So rather than run armour like a real SWAT team I just 5 man stab vest with 10 gas grenades each and clear it that way. Sad what the game has become but Agent 47 and John Wick being in every room has made it so.

Unless they play with no mercy for terorrists they will get penalized either way. The suspect does not have to hesitate for you to get penalized for shooting him. If the suspect is unaware or did not get alerted by you and you shoot him, you are getting unauthorized use of force/deadly force

Oh I know how - it's one of the "Customization" unlocks.
I applied MP5A2 loadout from "damage" preset to Alpha and saved it as "damage alpha". Did the same for Bravo and saved it as "damage bravo" and backed out and it did nothing.
