#Champion Double Up - Unable to designate follower

Please describe your bug: I'm unable to designate my followers for the Champion Double Up event. I hadn't selected until now because I wasn't sure which character I wanted the points/cubes on and I knew the points and coins would still accumulate without designees.

The event duration is listed as 08.27-10.21 so there are still a few days left before the event is over and the patch notes didn't say there was a deadline for designating. I believe this is a bug unless it's intended and just not listed? I think this bug might have started after the Challenger Worlds were removed from the login menu.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open [Champion Burning] Champion Double Up event from the left side star menu
  2. Press Designate button to assign a Follower
  3. Error message: "You can't do that right now. Please try again later."

I was just about to report the same. Same issue on my side.
Brand new account. Was able to assign the left side. Now I can't assign the right side.

Update: I submitted a ticket and heard back (very quickly, thank you 🙏 ) that the issue is under investigation and that it may take a while to find a suitable resolution because multiple teams have been engaged

Yes I think the event ends <t:1761091140>. Looking kind of bleak for us especially since there's only the weekend ahead and then like 1-2 days...

Ah, I regret waiting, but I honeslty forgot for the last character and didn't think waiting 7 days for the event to end would be a big deal. There goes 2500 symbols for a mule that I won't do dailies on... event rings... cubes... etc.

Thank you for your continued patience.

We checked on the status of the Champion Double Up bug report and verified that this issue is still being looked in to. Since the event has already ended, any fixes will not affect players that were impacted, but should help ensure a smoother experience for players if the Champion Double Up returns in the future.

Please note that we are not aware of any compensation planned for accounts that were affected. We apologize for the disruption that this caused and that we were unable to resolve the issue while the event was still available. Players who were interested in the Champion Double Up event may want to look into the NLM Mall Duo event currently available.
