I am pretty sure the mysterious cryptic giftbox is an account-wide starter gift, so you wouldn't be getting another one. Not sure about tradability, but if it says transferable within world, you can just throw it into storage through a storage keeper npc

Ok, so the Cryptic giftbox gives a 5 hour or so snail pet that you get on every new character, so don't worry about that. The heroic giftbox is a one time item

If you wanna delete a character, make sure to throw any important items into storage, this does not include equipment items

There are quite a few items you can't put into storage, which is primarily equipment items

The cash tab and dec. tab items can't be put into storage but have to be put into the cash shop storage
And certain event rewards like medals can't be transfered over or obtainable on different characters, though they aren't that important stat-wise

Medals aren't necessarily that great if they come from events, though anniversary medals are nice. If it says untradable it can't be thrown into your storage
But stuff like these cubes can

You kinda want to have more characters for legion anyways, so unless you are out of character slots or wanna use its name for a different character, no real reason to delete it
