Please describe your bug: When attempting to purchase a Character Slot Expansion Coupon while at 55/55 characters in a world, it returns "You cannot purchase this, as you can no longer expand your character slots."
The v258 patch notes state: "[Updated 3/18/25] The number of max character slots will be expanded by +1. A character Slot Expansion Coupon needs to be used."

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Have 55 characters in a world and attempt to purchase a Character Slot Expansion Coupon from a general store merchant.

Character Information (IGN/Job/World): Kronos

Trying to use an existing coupon (from Inkwell's Gift) doesn't work either.

for reference, I also had 55 characters before the patch, and 55 still seems to be the limit; I can't buy one from the general store either

I'm sorry but that's not a good solution. The whole point of increasing the cap was so those of us who are capped, won't have to delete a character.
Now we get to choose between deleting an existing character we already put time and resources into, or starting the much-hyped collab event a week late (out of just 6 weeks total).
Also our char slot coupons, saved from Inkwell's Gift, will have expired by then.
Please move this up to tomorrow's unscheduled maintenance. Surely there will be one, with all the bugs going on.

Yeah but we still need to wait 24 hours. Not really a solution but I guess what did we expect

Should’ve known better than to trust that they would 1. Deliver on a change they said they would and 2. Care at all when it doesn’t affect their ability to monetize

At least they didn’t go back and shadow edit the patch notes removing that like they’ve done in the past

Making people have to wait a week is one of stupidest things Nexon could ever do. Why should people have to delete their chars to even participate in this event? Why didn’t you guys bother fixing it during maintenance? It’s like the devs of this game understand nothing.

Now people are gonna miss out on training their character because the entire team is incompetent to even perform a simple char slot fix.

Spent so much time on weak compensation and not enough time on fixing this stuff.
