You can't copy/paste Windows like that. There is a special piece of software that is capable of transferring Windows from one drive to another. Although I don't know the name of it.

FreeSync and G-Sync are technologies that prevent screen tearing. If you have a Nvidia GPU you'll be able to get 144 hz but if your screen tears you can't do anything about it. Same thing for AMD GPUs.

In other words. It doesn't really matter if you have a Nvidia GPU and a FreeSync monitor. You'll have 144 hz or 75 hz anyway

Finally, my old Acer Predator Helios 300 gets replaced.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, GTX 1070 Ti and 16GB RAM.

Unfortunately the graphics card is borrowed from my brother since prices even for the old GTX 9/10 series are too high.

I am failing at finding out why my power led indicator on my monitor shuts off after 0.2 seconds after I try to start it up. (After 1 night of having the PC turned off together with the monitor being off)

Any ideas here? (please dont tell me I need to go out and get a new monitor).

Tried so far: Turning on/off, holding power for 30 sec after removing power cable, messed with all 5 "buttons", checked the manual from Philips online, switched cables, smacked it.

If you have enough experience, try open it up yourself and look for the disc drive. The weird sounds either come from dirt being in there or the rollers which help to get the disc in are damaged/dirty, so clean off those. There are multiple guides online (I think from iFixit). If you don't want it to open it up yourself you can get it cleaned/repaired at a retro game repair service.

Windows 7 isn't "that" old, you'll have the same hardware standards as nowadays computers

and not some weird old stuff... the only incompatibilities could be the ram and the cpu

Hello, does anyone know how to enable 900 degree steering with commands on the steering wheel. I've been reading that SELECT + R3 + pedal does that, but i don't have pedals.

Getting anything above a G920 is basically pointless at this point because ETS2 etc don't like wheels above 900 degrees at the moment...

The issue with larger wheels is that it reduces the strength of the force feedback, so unless it's a powerful wheel, it could be a bit underwhelming.

most of the time i cant use ff with my g920 because for some reason in ats when my truck is off my engine which is off is shaking till hells end back and forth and wakes up the whole house

but i do use it on ets2

There should be a centering dead zone in your settings, increase it a little and it should stop that shaking

Gonna clean the whole rails off. Aswell as I noticed loud noises when opening then drive, I found this:

This white thing which is broken off a little bit makes the drive noisy as hell, when opening to the last centimeters. Problem is, the replacement costs 12€, while the console itself was at 10€. So yeah, I'll see what I do with it.

Probably I'll fix it, because this is the console for my brother. The next PS2 I gonna buy I'll see, how it matters when you want to resell it, which I will do

so let's say you have a 3 monitor stream setup you can have the game on one screen, OBS and discord on screen 2, and twitch chat on screen 3

I'm not sure i follow what you are trying to do. If i read your previous posts i see that you want to add a second monitor to your laptop, that is just plug and play, plug the HDMI cable from your laptop to the monitor and windows will automatically detect it

You can use your other laptops for specialized functions, one could be for discord, another for game status or something

the way X-plane solves the issue is that the control plane is headless, and all renderers are networked, even the local one if you opt for that

if you're just showing 2 different screens delays aren't as big of an issue, but that's not what Sysgen is talking about

surround/eyefinity style setups, the delay, if any is so obvious that you can't have any variation in latency between monitors
