Ok so downloading Flight Sim 2020. It's been downloading all night, I've only just noticed it is still on the same file and keeps looping itself. Must be overwriting itself all night. This is tech related, just hold on a minute whilst I screenshot something else about this

It's been downloading overnight, at around 200mbit/s

The game is like 112gb according to the install manager. It's downloaded 800GB+ overnight, consistently overwriting that 1 file

Anyone experienced issues with 20H2 update, it failed twice on my father in law's pc. Windows became corrupted and we had to restore from a backup. He uses Avast and I suspect it is the culprit. Ping me if you've had any issues.

I've had Windows corrupted a few years ago (i think it was 1803 update) due to AVG antivirus (which basically uses the same av-engine and system-hooks as avast does)
I would say that Avast is the culprit

Ya, after each failed update I noticed that Avast was completely broken, it would not open at all, as well as a bunch of other programs, so that was my theory. I postponed the update for later on his computer and i'll retry it later but I'll remove Avast first. Thanks man

Most everyone will not think of disabling their antivirus before a Windows update anyway. I read in the Avast forums that it appears to be a recurring issue. I use Defender, so I should be fine.

pump turned out to be dead, stripped the entire pump off a Thermaltake 120mm CLC and "glued" it to the Celsius S36 rad+hoses (F for air cooled video cards)

full gpu load, fans set to silent (~500 rpm) - max 53 C

Wow I had such a struggle to setup my friend's PC, and it was much much more complicated and tedious than I anticipated... She had a new SSD installed, with Windows installed on it (by a technician), went on Teamviewer to move stuff for her, something wasn't right, file explorer kept disappearing, and apps in task bar, like it kept rebooting... Figured to check events, yep something was corrupted, so asked her to reinstall Windows, went through all the stuff, but she accidentally deleted the data from her other drive (which I suspect some stuff was missing since my documents was empty on that drive under her user), oh well... So we download updates and drivers, then attempts to reboot PC, she was locked out of her PC, tried to recover but didn't think of the hard reset, so we ended up trying to reinstall, couldn't put it on SSD, kept giving errors, trying things in the command prompt with the diskpart thing, nothing was working... Until some different error appeared, about MBR and it requires GPT, I was like oh...... so tried something different on diskpart, and converting the drive, and now it's installing the Windows like it should... And there will still be lots of things to download, drivers, updates, apps, games, all that is taking several hours CatSad
