mmmm not always it depends on the truck. the ones I drove didnt have all those knobs and levers. I had buttons that did different things but the only knobs I had were the air supply and air release valves. I also had a trailer brake lever. Minus the stocks and the Jake on the wheel, that's about it.

You need at least 2 buttons on a wheel for the Fanfare and the meep meep.

If you don´t have those, drill some holes and make at least these two to be considered a somewhat decent truck driver. Honking the honkitonk brings mostly joy to kids and other people.

You have to update the FMOD plugin. You're using version specific to 1.53 and you have 1.54 version of the game. The same error will show if the version given by the plugin is higher than the version of the game you have. The required version has to match the one you have. Before this version check was Implemented, the plugin loaded anyway, leading to game crash instead.

Id also make sure that you've followed the setup wizard correctly in ETS2 and downloaded or potentially wipe and reinstall all the hori drivers as well. If not your best bet will be going through their support

I use a laptop with an RTX 4070 with an i7 16 core 32 gb ram. and I have no issues with it. desktops are fine but i take my laptop everywhere i go so its more practical

I run a rog zephrus g15 (5900 hs, 8 core, 16 gb, 3080 @ 80 watts) laptop and runs game fine. Cooling is a bit weak, but that is solved with tuning fan curves.

A desktop would provide the best performance for dollar amount (ideal market), but idk how the GPU market is right now...

I use open track, it’s not the best but works. You need to have a config on it for it to work properly so either yours or someone else’s. Make sure you select your webcam too (ofc)

Huh interesting, best guess would either be a failing or dodgy backlight causing a strange bleed pattern or some sort of defect in the panel itself. You haven't moved the screen or had anything lying against it from the front or behind that may have applied pressure right?

By the looks of it you probably can't. It could potentially be a dodgy cable or outdated drivers but by the way the patterns formed, and it not being linear, it's most likely a defective or damaged panel. Might also be water damage as well especially if you're in a really humid area.

Uh it's not that noticeable really through that recording. I mean stuttering can also be a sign of a dodgy cable/monitor but usually it's your graphics settings being too high, issues with Vsync or your GPU drivers.

It seems to be a sync issue for the stuttering. Try turning your monitors refresh rate down. You can also hit CTRL, WIN, and B at the same time to recycle the GPU. If it doesn't work and you already tried reinstalled your GPU drivers and it is still persistent even after changing the refresh rate then most likely it is an issue with the monitor itself. Could be cables, backlight, etc.

Hey! Last month, SCS released a beta update for ETS2 regarding Async. Although I haven’t had the chance to test it personally, according to information we have obtained from various sources, this update is said to provide significant resistance to freezing, stuttering and lag, especially during loading screens, and to make the overall game flow smoother.

I started thinking about how this technology could affect TruckersMP if it were fully integrated into ETS2. If this system really works as healthy and stable as it is said, I think that the problems we experience in TMP such as loading delays, sudden lags and general performance drops could be significantly reduced. This could mean a much more optimized gaming experience.

Of course, the realization of all this depends on how much this technology can be integrated into TMP and how open and adaptable SCS will provide this infrastructure. However, personally, I think that this innovation could provide a noticeable performance increase if implemented correctly.

As previously stated, it really depends on what's "blown". Realistically, depending on the specs and everything of your PC - it could be cheaper just to get a new one, but if it's in warranty - just RMA it. If you're set on repairing though (which is great, don't get me wrong), it's a whole thing of troubleshooting it.

I just saw this too. In that case, to be fair - you could literally just be best off replacing the PC overall (again, depends massively if you think it's worth saving). CPU and motherboards are relatively "easy" to yeet out for new parts, to be fair. But you've got to then make sure things like your ram still work - especially if you go for a newer chipset - such as AM5 or an Intel of 13th gen or newer, which ofc both run DDR5.

Go to settings and try to fix it in keybinding or wizard

The gas has to be assigned as Accelerator and Brake as the brake. After that, check if the pedals respond correctly and adjust the axis mode if needed. In some cases, you have to use different axis mode than one provided by the game. Logitech Pro Pedals is example for that. They use non-inverted axes for input, ETS2 thinks it's dealing with G29, which has inverted axes for pedals.

Set it as one of the input devices in the game - its name should be visible if plugged in. Make sure power supply is plugged in to the wheel to allow self calibration. Next, head to Controls tab and assign steering, accelerator, brake and clutch axes. In the same tab, you can set up the shifter. If the shifter has additional toggleable buttons on the lever, activate the SKRS checkbox. Lastly, head to Keys and Buttons tab and set the buttons up.
