Well it was 1 year
Had already been cleaning my room for 8 hours so I really didn’t want to spend too much time on my pc
smh
Ohh that's why it was filled so much dust
Yes + cats
My PC was on my desk at first but when I got a second monitor I didn’t have space for a PC on my desk anymore but I also don’t hear the fans as much anymore
mm
oof
think u need a proper gpu
cats are usually the problem
under desk doesn't really generate that much unless you leave it for 5 years
I had it above my desk for a few months but no cats
my cat got into the computer case and fell asleep, she also touched something around the computer and it wouldn't turn on 🫡
Put the cat back in the case and see if it turns on ig
no thx, my cat is mechanic boy!
if I want to change GPU I need to change and CPU, my graphic card is integrated...
thx for info 🙂
or get rid of said cat
no, my cat is from Ohio
what does that mean
never

i just want to know if this is good for a beginner
Doesn't look too bad tbh
Is this your build or one you're thinking of purchasing?
purchase
It's a solid build, but if you can find one with a slightly cheaper CPU maybe a 5600, or 5600x CPU and a better GPU: 6700 xt then it would be ideal.
The 5700 xt is a great GPU, but its a little old and not very efficient. So it does like chomping through power.
Here we go
So, Last year, I upgraded RAM from 16GB to 32GB, All sticks are matched and should run at 3600Mhz. For whatever reason i couldn't seem to run at full XMP of 3600Mhz, I had to set it down to 3200Mhz instead. Made a reddit post regarding it, I was told either update my BIOS, or manually clock it with a higher voltage.
1 year later, I randomly thought to update my BIOS, which was a year old. I decided to re-enable XMP at 3600Mhz to see if it would be stable. I couldn't get to the end of a benchmark on GTA V, Had one "aw snap" error on Google chrome, then having to restart to reset the XMP back to 3200mhz the PC decided to Bluescreen.
Did some more testing last night, I'm able to run 3400mhz on normal XMP with the IMC controlling it as standard. 3400Mhz has been stable. But i'd like to run at full 3600mhz. Even if it means i have to add more voltage. Given that i'm given a step by step with it
.
Specs are:
Motherboard: MSI B550 A-Pro
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (Autoclocked with BIOS)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 32GB (8x4) @ 3400Mhz (Advertised 3600mhz)
is it a 4x8 kit or two 2x8 kits? or do you have the model number for the memory, something like CMW32GX4M4C3200C16
Model Number: CMW16GX4M2D3600C18
The kit is 8x2, But i ofc have 4 of them.
Sometimes XMP doesn't work properly, especially with Corsair sticks, you have to manually set a profile
Also, are you sure the latencies are matching ?
Yeah, they do match.
You might also be reaching hardware limitations with your CPU and/or mobo running quad channel at 3600. A quick search shows a fair few others who struggled to reach those frequencies on 5600x's, albeit on other mobos.
His mobo supports up to 4400MHz ram, shouldn't be an issue
Just manually apply a ram profile instead of using xmp and you'll be good
Interestingly enough, my brother has the same CPU, Different motherboard. Same 4 sticks of ram. Runs at 3600mhz without issues.
Interesting
Just Corsair stuff, its fairly common to run into xmp issues with ddr4 vengeance sticks
In my experience though quad channel on ryzen can be a bit iffy, but I'd try what @agile ermine suggested anyway.
Running 4 sticks with a 5800X, had zero issues (HyperX sticks, though)
When you say manually apply. What do you mean?
Not much of a fan of "overclocking" as such.
Well, XMP is technically overclocking
I know but xmp is usually easier as a profile
But manually
There should be a list of presets with the frequency and latencies somewhere in the bios iirc
Right now, set to 3400. It's not under a pre-selected profile.
Worst case scenario it won't boot, I'll let mister deal with it though as he seems fairly knowledgeable with corsair products.
@agile ermine
Hang on, trying to find the right way

So, if you enable A-XMP and choose one of the profiles it doesn't work, right?
Correct
Using any profile is unstable. Even idling will cause issues, Google Chrome etc
So, try to set the dram frequency at 3600, and then go to advanced dram configuration and set the timings to 18-22-22-22-42
And Let the command rate to auto
If its still unstable, that probably means the ram is faulty
Should be fine then... Maybe setting the command rate at 2 instead of 1 could help stabilize the system if you're running into some issues
Okay
lemme try this for now. See how stable it is.
Rebooted and I now don't have a graphics driver. Lovely start
Pressed f10 in the BIOS. Pc completely shut down then booted
I can't even unpackage a driver. 7 zip error
Lemme attempt to ddu whatever I have left of this driver
I guess not
Classic. Blue screen. Dram light on the board is lit up
Set it back to 3400mhz. I have a loaded graphics driver too
Command rate to 1T, 2T or Gear down mode?
2t
Alrighty. Rebooting once again
Of all things, discord isn't loading
Okay, 1 entire restart fixed it
Another boot failure. All I wanted to do was boot into safe mode.
I'll reset back to 3400mhz
Might be a faulty kit then
iirc Ryzen 5000 doesn't support quad channel
Even if you use 4 sticks it will still run at dual channel speeds
Yeah only dual channel unfortunately, not that is a major issue for most users though.
Yo anybody know why my mouse cursor starts glitching around and making a beeping noise (windows 11 btw)
It’s getting very annoying
Can’t use my pc when it’s doing it, and it usually lasts about 5 or so minutes
Restarting my pc is pretty much the only way to fix it atm
is an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor with a Gigabyte WINDFORCE OC GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12 GB Video Card a good mix?
talk to bing AI about the issue or see some YT vid to solve it
Yes
thank GOD
after 3 months of pc part research lol
i can also go for a XFX Speedster MERC 319 Radeon RX 6950 XT 16 GB Video Card
buy a new mouse?
have done
dang , update windows
no updates for it

small but POWERFUL

I'd probably go for a cheaper motherboard personally, 422 euros is quite a lot for just a motherboard, especially itx.
also good luck trying to get the 4070ti in a mini itx case
that thing is gonna be so noisy with hardly any airflow
Yeah, solid build
it will fit
well yeah i could go for a cheaper Motherboard but i rather give some quality to my build ( to last some generations with min upgrades )
and 442,6 euros more on accessories and fans lol
total cost €2680.81
uhm , is it okay to mount Razer Kunai Chroma 65.5 CFM 120 mm Fans on the AIO ? (edit: i know these fans are kinda bad for it lol)
here in my country a 3 pack costs €148.00😭
a 3 pack of what? corsair's latest fans? xd
with the new ICUE link, starter pack
that is indeed 150-160
the corsair AF120 3-pack should be about 70€
70€ for 3 fans is still insanely expensive, you can get 3 arctic P12 rgb for almost half the price
which software does arctic use? they also got their own?
if you don't want rgb fans you could just get the ARCTIC P12 PST 56.3 CFM 120 mm Fans 5-Pack
30€

Yeah, they have their own, with their own controller as well (fairly cheap though, 22€)
That's fair reasoning but remember motherboards have a fairly different upgrade cycle than other components, and in this case am5 is likely only up to 2026. Still a long time yes, with probably 2 generations before am6, but something to just bear in mind.
👍
my g920 reaches 100% braking before it's fully down, can i fix it?
when i am like 2cm from how much i can brake it's at 100%
i removed brake rubber also
Any recommendations for a gaming keyboard max 60 euros 100% size (preffered azerty)
yes , i will send in dm because i dont have pic perms here
you can get access to share images by linking your truckersmp account
k
anyone know how to fix a bogged down power supply fan?
If its just dust, then a vacuum or air duster might solve the problem. But I wouldn't recommend opening the PSU up unless you don't mind voiding your warranty. Speaking of warranties you might be able to get a replacement if its still within warranty.
But depending on your PSU wattage and manufacturing company you may not even need the fan tbh. I have a EVGA Supernova G2 750 watt, which has a fan but I haven't seen it turn on once in eco mode.
those cans of compressed air can do well but if it's really clogged used a brush
like the guy above said please don't open it

First or second I'm thinking first
both are crap, doesn't change the fact though that the second one is faster
As long as the laptop works for ATS and ETS2 I'll be good
a potato can run those games
can someone please help me as my files are apparently missing some files when i go to launch mp and click on simulation 1 or 2 i get a error message come up saying cant find mod ect and i have been through my files and as far as i am aware they are all there but i may be missing something with maybe someone elses eyes as a fresh set of eyes might pick up on my issue
hello so i just installed the game ets 2 and there is no sound at all i tried everything i dont know how to solve it any ideas? (only ets 2 sound is not working other games are working fine)
Hi best budget wheel on ets ?
G25
My PC is on life support
what you mean?
hrllo
the front panel is off
I think, his pc wouldn't make it without some air yesterday from event
Guys I found a Logitech g27 steering wheel for a good price and it’s in really good condition you think it’s worth it
if you keep most actions on your keyboard then yea, but ask if you can turn the wheel before buying it
Yeah i can i already asked that he also sent me a video want to see it?
sure
True
Barely got 30 FPS
Not even 20
guys my logitech g29 shifter is broken
it was working yesterday and today its not working
5th gear is natural, and 6th gear is the same gear as 4th like wtf
I don't have any experience with shifters but what did you try already?
I'm just thinking of some options as update some drivers or something of that shifter
i just launched the game and it didnt work
yes im looking at that atm
Or take a look in the settings in the game if it just didn't messed up somehow the "layout" or how to call it 😄
i checked even in assetto corsa its the shifter
Yea, then I would try first these drivers or something
Or if Logitech has some special program for steering wheel and shifter
my logitech g hub is not opening i guess i found the problme
Probably 😄
Hello does somebody have wheel i need help with setting
Which one do you have btw? I could help later if you have for example Thrustmaster
ok wait
Seaborg400
ETS 2 settings or?
ets2 no just setting on the wheel bc i hate that when im at menu and i turn lft or right the wheel the mouse will move and i dont want that
guys do someone have an idea how to make a diy clutch because i have thrustmaster 2 pedals
and i dont wanna buy new pedals for 100 euros
Can you help me as well? I just ordered MOZA R5, do you know how to set it up???
I have no experience with MOZA R5 but should be simple. I guess they will have also special program for this steering wheel since it’s not cheap one. In ETS then you will just choose steering wheel and check the basic things if they are set correct - things as throttle, brake etc
Thank you so much. I really bought the tech because I want to play ETS2 and really get to it, not play racing games, so I was a bit worried that it wouldn't be good in the sense that I might not be able to set it up cos I am not techy to begin with. Anyway, thank you Tokyy.
@compact elk Most of these should be pretty simple to setup. And if not, there should be installation guide in the box or some videos on YouTube. There are three types when comes to steering wheels Force Feedback - direct drive wheels, belt-driven wheels and gear-driven racing wheels. Direct drive is the best one but it’s more expensive, that's the reason why your steering wheel is way more expensive than mine (I have Thrustmaster T300 RS GT which has belt). Of course you would feel it probably more in some racing games as F1 but if you have money for it, why not, good choice
Yes... I was thinking, if I ever fall in love with driving games aside from ETS2 then I wouldn't have to pay another for direct drive. If I dont and I decide to stay with ETS2 then no harm done...right?
Exactly
Guys I need help
I have ets2 from steam
And it runs smoothly at 60 fps but like every 5 seconds the fps gets stuck
Like the game freezes for 2 seconds
Then the fps is like 10 then it goes back to 60 like 4 seconds after that
And again freezes
💀
is your pc a potato?
It's a laptop
And it's worse than a potato
Intel hd 3000
😭
But I kinda fixed jt
turn off the cabin physics, and uh the setting that shows cables on other trucks
could also lower the scaling, should standard be on 100%
and the reflection scaling
Hi, i'm kinda new here. In my bottom right corner it says 'Steam Offline". Do I have to worry about that or doesn't that make any differences?
i have it also
I'm using 50%
Thanks I'll test it tomorrow
Steam goes off line on a Tuesday, only problems that do occur are steam achievements not counting and cloud saves, this isn't every time but it is annoying when they do it.
Guys you think it’s worth trading my really old ps4 but in really good condition for a Logitech g27 which is also in really good condition
I never play on ps4 I have a good pic
Pc
if you dont use something anymore, its best to sell it and buy something you would use
I mean yeah if you can get a decent price
ps4 is 10 yrs old
still going for expensive prices
relative to the xbox ones that are like $50-100
for me it's kinda similar
12400f/1050ti and I get stutters every now and then
max graphics cause uhh it still runs at a consistent 60fps++
what kind of specs would i need to run ets2 at 1080 60fps on ultra with everything max on singleplayer no mods
60fps in the really new areas like wb
Well, you need to get some expensive equipment/specs, to achieve stable 60 fps count...
There isn't a chart saying how much fps you can get if you have this or that...
Sooo, anything above recomended setup on ets2 steam store page, should be enough
Probably a Ryzen 5 (any R5 should be enough), RTX 3050, 16GB of ram
do you know an intel equivalent
I got pretty close specs to that on my laptop and I get 45-60fps on Ultra preset on 1440p
Newer i5 or older i7
alr
because i was looking for laptops i found one with an rtx 3050 ti 16gb ram ddr4 and i7 12700
That should be enough imo
I have a Lenovo Legion 5, RTX3060, 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11400H @ 2.70GHz 2.69 GHz and 8.00 GB (7.77 GB usable), or as it tells me anyway and the game runs well at 80fps on single player with a few mods, it runs about 40 -80fps on TMP depending on busy areas.

Average between 1 and 20fsp for most people in Calais, even people with high end pcs get massive fps drops there.
Not enough RGB 😂
I thought that was a pyramid type pc for a second
Looks like a stock cooler?
cpu
yes but my cpu is not good ...
which cpu you got?
i play full ultra 300% 120-140fps in truckermp
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700F CPU @ 3.00GHz 3.00 GHz
mmh
waiting for ryzen 8000
oh nice
leaks looks good, but hoping amd will reduce IHS height
I run a laptop
oh ok
For my desktop build I was planning to do a 6800 xt
may do rx 7900 xt if the prices get low enough
ahhh okkk nice
wdym
???
where ?
yes but
Just confused on the core part of your message
rtx3060 8gb, 6gb ... i don't know
you could check no?
where ?
12 gb
wow
Should be that memorie du gpu de
you got a lot of memory to play with
okok nice
12 is avg I guess
nice ahah
like the amount mid range cards would have
600€ this pc xD
damn
because its urgence of my friend for money
gaming with excel and tabs open, ye...
But I don't know anything about PC
It's a fun hobby imo
yes
amd gpus are kinda bad
Guys i have small question. If i want to buy water cooling for my PC i need to know Socket or not ? because normal cooler needs socket like LGA 1156
I'm not after dlss or rtx. AMD is the better option at least right now.
Could go rtx 3000s but again the rx 6000s and rtx 3000 are close together ish
i had an amd amd the drivers are just bad
i had the 6700 xt
and switched to a 3070, its much better
software and hardware wise
RTX 3070 is a pain in the ass
and I own one
built PCs with RX 6650 XT, RX 6700 XT & RX 6900 XT. All went like a breeze.
But on NVIDIA side too, only issue is VRAM and price.
.
6700 xt is pain, software was bad and payd 700€ or smth back then for shi performance
Could be better now tho.
I've currently got the 6700XT and the specs on paper are good, but real world performance could be better
The driver support is pretty poor and isn't updated frequently enough to support newer games smoothly
Which results in pretty poor performance when it should be better, I personally would never recommend an AMD GPU
I wouldn't say drivers will be a huge factor performance wise now for any AMD 6000s series, pre 2019 cards, sure there were issues but I'd probably say the worse than expected performance is either a poorly optimised game or pre-emptive overconfidence in what a 6700xt actually performs like.
me who has a rx 6750 xt

also me who has a 6900 xt and can run starfield on ultra graphics
Thx
Me whose with a 3060 xD
i´v got rx6600 and play it on ultra
Guys do you think thrustmaster t150 is good for starting simulation racing especially for ets
ets2 is not a racing sim but oke
has anybody heard from southern trucker gaming lately?
You sure?? Ive got an RX 580
I got the RX6900 XT, I don't have any issues
Hello
I need help
When many players plays is the game stocking all the time
What I can do
wdym ? The game is lagging a lot when there's a lot of players around ? I f that's the case, there's nothing you can do, even the most powerful PCs can't run the game smoothly in highly populated areas
Ok thanks for the help
Can It be the Internet problem?
I played today and I was really laging
not an internet issue, that doesn't cause game stuttering on TMP
bro I have a 1050ti 😭
close other apps, turn up the graphics to remove load from your cpu, truckersmp is cpu bound
unless you have a built in gpu in which case you should turn down the graphics
usually that's because you're using wireless wifi, which isn't recommended due to latency, I'd suggest using ethernet if possible
it is, usually stuttering is caused by high ping, due to being far away from tmp servers most likely
I get 300ms ish on tmp and my truck stutters all the time, though it never stutters when playing built in multiplayer, probably because it's hosted locally and I often play with friends from the same city as me
so less ping
i've had studdering on single player only games so studdering is not a net thing you are talking about lag
that's not stuttering lol, those are lag spikes usually caused by playing on a crap hard drive or crap cpu
lag spikes are a internet thing go look it up
idk man I don't see internet anywhere in the list
stuttering is caused by internet
lag spikes are caused by hardware
it's network related
stuttering yes
like your car moving forward and backwards not normally
lag spikes, where the game freezes for a few seconds is often hardware
the reason you don't have lag spikes playing convoy mode is due to it being a peer to peer hosting
I never get lag spikes ever, I only stutter in tmp
and I get 300ms ping
let's say you host a convoy mode server in ets2 you won't notice the lag spikes cause you are the host
I never host convoys lol
all my convoys are from people in my city
ets2 was never made for tmp
yeah I'm aware
I don't know how thats related but ok
Throwing the ball out of the park, first of all, the Oxford English Dictionary states,
LAG as falling behind in movement, progress or development.
So people use this term when they find an action/task is performing slower time than what is ideally expected.
Some examples of lag:
- When...
lag is when your game just freezes, like when you're in a populated area and your gpu goes on life support
stutter is notoriously associated with high ping, which is a network issue
like when you have trucks moving forward and backward randomly and you gotta keep distance
bad ping causes other trucks to freeze, but not yours, afaik
mine can sometimes move jaggedly
I'd be driving forwards smoothly and then the truck stops for a fraction of a second
my cpu is decent, better than most of the people playing on 5 year old laptops
keep in mind TMP is hard to run, so if you have slow hardware it can cause stuttering even when there's not that many players around
freezes can also be caused by autosave
runs the same on my 11320h as it does on my 12400f
same ping though
wtf this is a 12 year old game no it damn isn't gpu bound lol
this isn't starfield
like city skylines 2, where there's a lot of ai and stuff, it's mostly cpu bound
not to mention they have far different gpus too, iris xe vs a 1050ti
... you're complaining about stuttering while playing with an iGPU ?
never have I had autosave make me lag, you gotta be running on some ancient hard drive to lag because of autosaves
and even a 1050 Ti isn't fast by any means...
the game isn't gpu bound
I literally just told you
people get the same framerates on a 3070 as they do on a gtx 970
the truck textures aren't in 4k
oh, so following your way of thinking you could put even the crappiest nvidia GT series and still have an acceptable framerate as long as you're running a core i9 ? That's not how it works
I'm saying if you have a half decent gpu, you won't notice a massive improvement if you upgrade to a better gpu
my framerate stays the same when switching from low to high graphics, give or take 10fps
talk in %, not in fps
that clearly proves my point of the game not at all being gpu bound
10fps is meaningful if you're running at 60
I get 120-140
@agile ermine using your mentality, apparently this gpu should not at all be lagging #tech message
also, that's complete bullshit
whats your source of this game being cpu bou d
you will have stutter with any gpu in populated areas, just not to the same extent
any comparison video will show it. even a GTX 1060 will be a solid 60% improvement over a 1050 Ti
they will all stutter... you just proved my point?
no? I've litteraly said it will not stutter to the same extent
truckersmp is cpu bound
which means it stutters, but not as much
what do you consider is not stuttering?
so where a slow gpu will produce a slideshow, a powerfull one will produce an unstable 30fps average, for example
I've gone to Calais on my iris xe, 1050ti and my friends 2080ti machine and saw a 3fps difference
and I'd bet your friend actually has a decent cpu ? That would mean it's not cpu bound either, then
8700k
compared to a 12400f...?
like 20% cpu difference at best?
and keep in mind all that thread started off a "networking issue"
stutters are a networking issue
lag spikes are a pc issue
again, if you have a high ping, you will see other players lag but not yours
the game is cpu bound
stuttering is not a networking issue. That's never the case
how come some players lag to the point where their truck flies yet some others are smooth af? does that look like an issue on MY side?
your truck doesn't magically start flying. Other players might see your truck flying, but you won't
if I go to task manager and set my cpu to only use 1 core in ets2, it will lag spike but it won't get those small annoying stutters as often
I've seen trucks start flying when going downhill into a tunnel, didn't record it but if you don't wanna believe me then don't 🤷♂️
when I get back home I will try it, and report my findings
Hey Guys, My problem is that my Gpu usage when playing is pretty bad like realy bad. I have a Radeon Rx 6700xt 12GB, which is a pretty good gpu. It runs every game i play smoothly (Apex Legends, COD and so on) but when i play TruckersMP if im in calais i barely get over 20 FPS which is almost unb...
this guy's gpu shits on mine, yet he has the same cpu
same framerate
proves that truckersmp is cpu bound
lag spikes are caused by cpu
and lag in general
stutters are from packet loss and being far from tmp servers
updating the bios on walmart computers lol
ooh
one of them took 45 minutes to reboot and update
windows ran at less fps than i do in calais
the bios update did pretty much double the framerate from like 10fps to 20
so windows became somewhat usable
or maybe the laptop just needed a restart and thats it
surprised it ran that high with what looks like to be integrated intel graphics
I can't tell what generation it is
xe?
running windows
not tmp
oh
I'm not logging onto steam onto some random laptop lol
yep
might as well put that into a phone...
good lord...
It's better than my intel HD Graphics 2000
the desktop is still running on windows 8.1, window 10 kills it
no it damn isnt
throw in an ssd and call it a day
"i cant afford ssd"
boom easy way to make any old laptop/desktop fast again
windows 8 is kinda old man
Ik
@hushed kestrel about our chat from yesterday, just wanted to confirm you had no idea what you were talking about, so I launched the game on my laptop and desktop. My desktop gets +-14fps in Calais, my laptop averages 8. Keep in mind my laptop has a slightly faster cpu, had a similar number of players around me in both cases (+-130), and both PCs have the exact same settings.
so yeah, basically you were wrong
tbh I wasn't even expecting such a big difference, given my laptop's GPU isn't that much slower than my desktop's
what are your specs
and can i get screenshots?
Neither of you are wrong. TMP/ETS2 isn't specifically cpu or gpu bound, it's both. The main issue is the game engine being as both of you said, pretty old. I would say that from my experience that performance does rely a bit more on cpu than gpu however, especially in busy areas.
So, game engine limitations ? not surprising, in a way... However, as I just stated, in busy areas it seems like it is very GPU-limited
laptop has a Ryzen 7840HS, 32Gb of 5600MT/s DDR5 and a RTX 4060. Desktop has a Ryzen 5800X, 32Gb of 3600MT/s DDR4 and a RTX 3070 Ti. And you won't get any screenshots because im busy and too lazy to turn the laptop back on.
truckersmp doesnt help the cpu either
makes it worse if anything
Pretty much yeah, you can even see in task manager that ETS2 is pretty poor at utilising all available resources on higher end systems, especially higher core counts. It's to be expected really as at it's core it's running of an engine built for 2012.
they apparently dont wanna use 3rd party engines because they are too "limited"
as in the game engines being limited
laptop hardware is slower than desktop hardware, cuz it's packed in a smaller space and therefor can't run as fast/cool
and they would cost more to license and use
Not necessarily. In my case, my laptop' cpu is newer than my desktop's cpu, so it's still slightly faster despite needing half the power. And the RTX 4060 is a very efficient gpu, in its 140w laptop version it basically is a desktop 4060. A good laptop will also be cooled just fine.

Guys i found a thrustmaster t150 pro with a Logitech g shifter and adapter for 300 dollars but I also found a Logitech g27 set for 220 dollars which one should I buy both are used
I choose the 220$, since is cheaper and "is better than nothing" that I actually have

I have been having trouble with my g920 steering wheel, its not centering
any one knows a fix?
I think there are settings in ets2 about wheel centering,if that doesn't work, check if you have the driver for the steering wheel you're using.
is there software from the manufacturer to calibrate it?
Wydm
Its not a software issue all the drivers are up to date. I mean it doesn’t go to back to the center after steering, it just stays there until I force it back
does anybody have a way to reach southern trucker gaming? his facebook and website are completely gone. and i still havent got my shifter from him
Looks like you got scammed

what do u guys recommand for a steering wheel
Logetch g27 is a popular one but us expensive
g29 & g290 are also good, but again expensive like the g27
It might have been the g29 I was thinking of lol
@viral dome Dissasemble the housing and secure the hall sensor tight.
Is the wheel not doing centering force, or is the detected wheel position not synced with the physical angle? If G Hub doesn't update the angle at all while moving the wheel, consider checking the power supply and its connection with wall socket on input side.
its not doing the centering force
If you set G Hub's desktop profile to not provide centering force at all, the wheel won't center itself while on desktop. Below the slider used to change custom centering force amount in G Hub, there's tickbox, which will allow you to set custom centering force. If unticked, the wheel should center itself, since it will use default centering force value. You can click 🔓 to make the current settings be applied to all profiles. When settings are being applied to all profiles , the icon will change to 🔒. Pressing that will allow you to adjust setting on per-profile basis. When that mode is active, the icon will change to 🔓.
what do u guys recommand for a steering wheel
@untold mango Logitech wheels are good, I suppose.
I'm stuck with a steering wheel that only turns 270 degrees. Damn it.
Alright I will try it. Thanks for the help.
Late answer but for starters an older wheel like an logitech driving force gt could be a good way. I bought mine few years ago used with some extra stuff for 50 or 60€ and i think it is a great start into wheels (specially for people who are unsure how much the wanna spend).
:D tnk u

I don't really think this is related to tech anyway
guys can you suggest me some games which are good with wheel?
T300 RS GT
I think there is a site that gives you all the answers,I think is called Google but I could be wrong
need a tech master, I run a rtx 3060 and the HDMI has been working flawlessly the last few days, alltough i started my pc today and it didnt work, i have 2 screens, one running hdmi the other running display port. Pc doesnt recognize hdmi anymore. I installed the latest version of the driver for the gpu, also the one i had before none of em work, not even the other screen when i plug it in to the hdmi port. any help?
Check on Nvidia Control Panel if your monitor is selected
Also Use Windows+P for more monitor options
Have you checked if the monitor is actually turned on? The monitor won't be seen by the system if it's not turned on.
It needs only power and connection between pc and monitor, turning it on makes no difference,my 2nd monitor is off (only connected to the pc/Power) and the pc still recognises it
Have you tried the same cable on the other monitor
guys what is the use of product keys?
Please don't advertise selling games as it against the rules. Rule 4.1
Don't want to see you get punished for it

Or am I wrong on this Soul?
Never expected I would expected to buy a Samsung phone
Here I am today after I just bought a Samsung s23+ for uni cause my old phone was too old to run their apps...
Hello
Wannabe moderator alert
So. 2 things.
-
how much of a difference will a router make if your internet is awful?
-
does anyone have starlink roam and if yes what speeds are you getting?
Don't expect to be getting fiber speeds unless you wanna pay an arm and a leg for it
My current speeds are 2.7mbps download (yes... megabits not megabytes) and 0.2mbps upload
And i currently have the fastest traditional internet available where i live
So im wondering. 1) will new router make huge difference?
2) what speeds are people getting on starlink roam as thats the only option i have left
Depending the country, for example in romania 500 mpbs is 15-20 euros per month
Where are you from buddy,if you're getting the speeds you're telling a more expensive router will make no difference
One message removed from a suspended account.
Damn 😦
wish I did
I’m in the UK and pay less for 1000mbps symmetrical 😂 you’re getting scammed mate
In greece for 30 mpbs you pay 35 euros wdym xD
Ikr
when servers gonna get a restart they need it
No. Im lucky to get internet at all. This is the fastest internet possible where i live in uk
With satelite you can get more but I guess you would pay more
Yes for starlink it costs £449 for the dish, £20 for shipping and then it costs £85 per month
Can't wait to move house so I can set my system up properly with a hard line instead of WiFi
85£/month for Starlink ? UK getting scammed as usual...
UK has some really good speeds on fibre optic but you need to be close to the base stations and not every street has availability to the best companies so have to settle for overpriced slower speeds a lot of the time
Sadly yes misterclic and true simon or if you live on one of the islands you are lucky to even get internet
I now live out in the countryside and have low speeds, used to get the top speeds in the country when I lived in the city
I don't get why Starlink is so expensive in some places, here its 40€/month for the same service... Is internet usually that expensive in the uk ?
Everything is expensive here now 😭
Internet seems to be the only price going down in the UK lol. I was paying £70/mo when I first got gigabit because it was still new-ish but now that it's been rolled out to most of the UK and is pretty standard in most major towns/cities I'm only paying £30
Guys is The break pedal supposed to be harder to press than the gas pedal?
Yes
But it’s pretty stiff that’s normal?
Depends on your pedals model, some have adjustments, some don't but they can be hard
I have a g920 steering wheel set
Guys I have a clutch pedal but the game doesn’t recognize it and I can drive without it. Do i need a h shifter for tur clutch pedal to Work ?
Technically, you need the clutch, however in ETS2 and ATS, if you don't assign it, the game will automatically use clutch for you when you change gear with H-Shifter. Clutch pedal is only used in H-Shifter mode. By the way, have you installed G Hub beforehand? @fading violet
I mean, what's the point of clutch without h-shifter?
i have installed g hub but i want to use the clutch even though i dont have a h shifter
is it possible
Technically it's possible, but you would need to assign multiple keys for the seperate gears (R-1-2-3-4-5-6)

Hi
You getting an error message?
Im starting to think that i need a new phone my current one is 6/7 yo what would be a good replacement currently have a Motorola g8
depends of how much you're willing to pay for it
there's some good stuff in the 300-400€ range, but it can quickly climb very high
That would mean looking and choosing carefully
depends of what you need
wether you just want a phone, or if you absolutely want a great screen, or if you're taking a lot of pictures, etc etc
Take a look at the Oneplus Nord phones
overheating
scam
Does a intel i7 fit in a i12 socket &
Anyone have the fanatec csl dd 5nm wheel here if so how good is it on ats
what's an i12?
What would we say is better?
1x 1440p 34" wide-screen + 1x 1440p or 1080 second montitor
Or
3x normally monitors, 1x 4k and 2x 1080p?
Looking for any opinions!
As for the first option, depends..
An ultra wide can be split into multiple parts which you an use. Unless this monitor is for gaming and you want the immersion, go for it.
I would pick for the 1080p as a second.
If it doesn't bother you, you could go triple, I wouldn't go 4k personally since you're pushing 3 monitors and 4k is... gonna be expensive to make it worth the additional pixel count and QoL. This would probs be the better option as you can (depends on the monitor sizes, 2x 27 inch + 16 inch laptop display is what I use) get more screen real estate compared to an ultra wide + second monitor
It's can also cheaper to buy 3 monitors, but at the end of the day it's all up to what are you willing to sacrifice?
You'll have to deal with the bezel (around the screen) for triple monitors as with ultrawide, it's all on 1 display. You can get less screen space if you go ultrawide + second screen vs triple screen (depending on the monitor sizes). Some games may support 21:9 aspect ratio (ultrawide's normal aspect ratio) and a lot may not.
Personally, I would go triple just so I can not deal with the extra pixel on the side when games don't support 21:9 and so I can other stuff on side monitors and overall more monitor space to put the random stuff I open and keep open
Cable management wise, the 1st option will be cleaner and easier to deal with. Mounting should be fairly simple, assuming you stacking them ontop of each other.
Who needs 3 monitors anyway, just get two 27" 1440p monitors
Use the left of right one for both discord and browser, the other one for games and fullscreen stuff
Using 3x 4k with two of them split for 4 windows
Alright, I've decided on getting a second monitor. So I need a 1440p monitor. Since I won't be using it for gaming but just videos. Does anyone have recommendations?
My current setup with 3 27 inch and a 4th 23 in

Anyone able to give me a hand? I'm trying to find information on a specific laptop but I can't find anything with the model number, The laptop is in the link below 👇,
Some models say the brands laptops are made to be customised including the graphics card but I can't find information on this exact laptop,
So multi part question:
Is the 4gb graphics memory on this attached to the graphics card? If so would this be changeable by any chance?
(Any and all information is greatly appreciated!!)
Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa1114TX
Is what the site says the model is
Do you know if it's possible to change the graphics card on this model? I can only find things for newer and older models that say you can, but nothing for this one
you can't change a laptop's graphics card
the only laptop that allows you to replace the gpu without having to replace the entire motherboard including the cpu as well is the Framework 16 afaik, but there's only 1 gpu available for it right now so it doesn't matter
I am getting my loose information about the changing of stuff from here sorry
that is so misleading HP should be fined for it
what that article is referring to is choosing higher end components when ordering the device
you can't swap out most of them after you've bought it
pretty sure that's illegal
they are litteraly saying you can upgrade components
but then again, it's HP, nobody should buy their garbage products
Fair enough...
In that case does anyone know if that laptop will run these games below, if not does anyone know of any good enough gaming laptops for under AUD$1000?
I would prefer it in Australia so I can get it faster, but at the same time I'm not too picky as it will be cheap..
Minecraft,
ATS/ETS2,
Albion Online,
Farming simulator,
Cities: skylines 1
(2 if physically possible but doubt it)
I also want to thank everyone who gave information, I greatly appreciate it!
Gotta love the gaming community!
It's been out a couple of years now but the lenovo legion 5 is a real good gaming laptop and will run those no problem on ultra, not sure if avaliable where you are or price but it's now under £1000 in the UK. I Owen one and can't really fault it other than I can't open it to add more ram, but that is only because I don't know how
$1699 for the Lenovo Legion 5 in Australia, currency changes are bloody stupid
But I believe a chainsaw could work when it comes to opening stuff 🤣 but that would just be a heap of screws undenieth or its held on by clips all around the edges and what knot
Ouch
Fair enough, thanks for that!
They won't even give you a free sticker for a kid let alone an extra HDD, the ones in my town are rude as hell, but I'm on a budget and this seems to be the only place my google has this laptop (the literal only link with that laptop)
But I'm going for a laptop as I'm getting my HR then HC license and I highly doubt a trucking company would allow me to hook up a PC and monitor in my little industrial town
Yeah at least my town they are absolutely rude and have no heart or care for their job,
Yeah, I'm going HR >MC, turns out after your year of HR you can skip HC and go straight to MC, I'd rather skip HR so I can be less restricted sooner rather than later as MC covers single and multi trailer 🙂
I found some really cheap amd graphics cards on the used Australian market
Too bad I don't live there, otherwise I would've gotten a lot of them
I just wanna know if any of y'all would recommend the PXN V9
please leave the Ping on in the reply, or if you just send a Message you can add the Ping too
Just use a Logitech wheel
The PXN V9 was the Cheapest i found with a gear shifting part
Well, i ask because i personally say "it does the job", but i'd recommend a Higher quality one if possible
Good quality may raise the price...
Yeah, that is why i said "if possible"
i was just being careful that it isn't too high that we can't pay the heating oil
Yeah, heating oil is a thing and hella expensive
You're much better going off with a similarly priced thrustmaster t150/pro and getting a shifter at a later point. It's much higher quality and has force feedback which is pretty much essential in any wheel.
When I try go on tmp on ets I get a error saying can not create game Process anyone know who to fix please
Install the new launcher
where from
Any1 know the minimum pc specs for tmp?? Especially around the C-D road
https://truckersmp.com/download - at the bottom of the page you can find TMP's minimum and recommended requirements. C-D road might be a bit higher due to a higher player count
Ty
no computer can smoothly run the game around Calais or Duisburg, just so you know
Id imagine a high end pc can, no?
Well, i know it might be controversial, But force feedback is a thing i may am interested in the future rn, when i have a Job actually and know that i could get one.
If that's your view then sure, go with whatever you think suits your needs best
I will just say that the second hand market for wheels does have some pretty great deals on wheels such as the logitech g29/920, often with the shifter included and FFB. Obviously it does come at the cost of a lack of warranty and minor wear and tear but they are still excellent choices if you're on a budget.
right... Second hand was not even flying by my head 💀
For real i did not think about that
u can find some pretty cracked deals second hand
I found a Th8a shifter for 80 cad on there
Yeah, if i knew before i got that PXN V9
didn't get it cuz it was across the country but it seemed to be fine
The Wheel has vibration, but no Force Feedback
Also if someone looked after their wheel and didn't use it harshly/use high FFB they should last a pretty long time.
since u already have the v9
just keep it and later on upgrade to a t300
or i'd say something like a moza r5
Yeah, that sounds reasonable
Well, the main usage was like Car/other Driving Games
i forgotten how it is to use a Force Feedback wheel. (used one in the Past that was not mine)
the game has its limits, don't matter if you have a rtx4090
Yeah, it has some different feel, it actually pushes back
Euro Truck Simulator 2 doesn't need beefy hardware
if no Graphics Mods are on there
i never modded it thio
Yeah that’s fair enough, Ty 4 the help
Would be fun to see how realistic you could make tmp with a rtx4090
Tmp isn’t that optimized
Also pretty sure the game engine ets2 is built on is old now so can’t add much to it unless u put in a lot of effort
It can work tho
what case
I would be playing competitively so I need it to run smoothly, is what I mean.
120 fps?
Looks like the Linux tech tips teemu case
That’s what I thought, but it looks like a good quality case, worse case scenario is just rehouse it into something better
They all have roughly the same gaming performance with it being small percentage changes.
Do you think 1.8K is a fair price for a setup like that?
It's not a meaningful increase at all in gaming performance.
if you doing it for gaming, hell it is overkill.
the cooler may be lacking, no idea.
don't know if a 240mm can cool a 13700
probs
Even if the plastic sucks it still has USB 3.0. Just have tape handy
but i'm not sure
That’s exactly the same thought I had, but if its out in the open it might be ok
what's your motherboard.
It’s by the window aswell
13600 would do.
2 secs
it's the 13600f he is getting
O
Their IHS is a few mm thicker.
it acts like a heat absorbtion block.
their new standard temp while operating is 95 C
damn
ig
Direct die is becoming more popular now.
Idk how market is where burnt lives
to not thermal throttle.
but i'd say switch the card too
direct die is mainly used on the higher end cpus...
probs can get a 7900xt for that
I want to know the motherboard first.
Just use liquid metal paste
E Z
for all I know, he could get a z790
direct die + liquid metal
gotta void that warrenty for performance.
That hurts
Don't
I betcha it's gonna hurt the CPU in the long run with the direct die
Cause metal expanding needs something to flex
Do I want to leave performance on the table when i paid 200 dollars for it.
no
more like 316
or more..
how would it flex?
But in the long run it's gonna ruin the cpu
That's what you don't know if you remove the slight flex of paste
I don't think it's a good idea to run soldered cpu
@kind viper
That's why old paste is cracked
not worth the preformace gains if u wanna later on change it
but liquid metal
on the actual dies
is dies or dyes
die?
Liquid metal is also known to hurt longevity
I couldn’t find the recipt for everything else but that’s the main stuff
you didn't help me.
do u live in europe or na?
Where he motherboard?
Uk
ok
Oh that’s what u wanted mb
lemme finish my quiz rq
hmmm
and I might be able to see if there is a better deal
long term as in 10 years svampen?
yea
It might not matter if you upgrade within a couple of years
But it's technically bad for longevity
or a desktop cpu
My last system upgrade was from
for soldering
2011 --> 2020
desktop
B760m Motherboard
9 years
But the more temperature changes and stress it gets the faster it wears
yea i'd say run socketed
you got what looks like a micro atx in an atx case.
what if u slip on ur yacht and fall on ur pc dropping it into the ocean
u can repalce the cpu if it's socketed while soldered is just dead
Then ask your parents to express ship a new macbook
performance won't matter then
Mhm
shave down the ihs then?
instead of removing it with force.
Thermal transfer limitations is what I'm getting at here.
When metal is heated it expands. When you cool it down it retracts. What happens when you join two metals and heat cycle them?
Is physics
But the slight flex in paste saves the components from the stress
wouldn't the amount be so small that it's just negligible
Hence why it's all cracked when it gets old
save money on the case.
The stress of those cracks are gonna be transferred somewhere else
is another option.
just run no case
test bench
Then how is this different from leaving it alone?
walk to ur closest uni and go into their lab
they got a bunch of metal sheets laying around
u can probably fabricate an open air case
I'm talking paste. Not liquid metal
Yeah but if it’s out in the open I want the whole pc to look good
i been talking about liquid metal.
get a used case
Cause it's not an even fuse
save some money there
so the flex is less then direct die (ihs soldered to cpu)
Yeah I guess, but I’ve already spent nearly 2k on it so I might aswell go all in right ?
The stress is always gonna be there. The flex is a calculated stress reliever if you will
no not really
having an micro atx board in an atx case is gonna look funny
tbf
in the end
if u find a good used case
it's basically gonna be brand new after cleaning
The pc case is a masterbox td500
Thermaltake had some cool cases back in the day
I think the case i'm running rn is the h18 tg
So here the final questiion I guess... how much of a different, even if it's negligibleis, the flex comparing direct die and the default ihs soldering to the cpu (not looking for a number)
it's still gonna look funny
Ill see what it’s like when it’s done and send a pic in here
Any1 got any wheel suggestions
With a clutch peddles etc
fractal torent compact would be a better choice
cuz that's a better deal
if you don't want your motherboard to look... really small
or
switch to an atx mobo
I think 280 mil rad with an atx mobo suits it better
the gpu is probably gonna be chunky
gpu bigger than the mobo
Realistically, we could make 32x pcie slots for double gpu slots
Bring back dual gpu gpus
cpus don't have enough pci-e lanes for that, it could work depending on the chipset but it would be suboptimal
also, back in the days, dual-gpu gpus would only use 16 lanes
actually, if a dual-4090 was possible, and if it was pci-e 5.0 compatible, you probably wouldn't need more than 16 lanes
Not the standard consumers ones
I hate the Asus Tuf Laptop series 🥲
They keep crashing
Win 11 is crushing on my tuf a15
lower your graphic settings and get a good laptop cooler
I'm running on RTX 4060 and Ryzen 9 7940HS with 16 GB RAM 🥲
laptops are nortious for overheating
if it's cold outside you could take it outside and game on it and not have to worry about it over heating
could very well be a software issue and not related to the laptop itself
gaming laptops aren't really overheating anymore in normal use scenarios, and especially not to a point where it has to shut down
crashing and shutting down are different
I checked the temperatures in the Armoury Crate app, the laptop handles pretty well overheating, with an average of 70°C when in full load. It's just the fan thing, they're so annoying and loud, even if I switch them to Silent mode. As for the crash, apparently it's a known problem for Asus and Windows 11. It's some bug related to that TPM chip
yeah, laptops are and will always be loud
if there's a problem with the TPM chip, that means it's time to switch back to Win10
saftey temperatures on a laptop and desktop are different.
Expect higher temps on a laptop then a desktop.
Not by much, laptops just run closer to the max operating temperature and are more likely to throttle heavily.
In a desktop you normally have a case that can blow a lot of air and remove heat a much larger volume, here we have everything shove into a tiny shell and gotta force something to move air and cool it.
depends on cooling.
Mine is a 5900hs and 3080 mobile, runs more like 90-92 on cpu while gpu can vary between 60-80 depending on the game even after a few hours of load..
All in C
gta will push the gpu example, but games like tmp, ets2, no.
Indeed. Most laptops are restricted power delivery wise anyway, or at least non game oriented ones are.
i believe my 3080 is the 100 watt version
while the 3080 mobile can go up to 180 watts
restricted by the manfuacter
Need a recruiter for our startup. Must be a U.S. citizen. Juniors are also welcome. You can DM me.
what is that
How does a computer get drunk
I don't know how?
Screenshots
hahahhwhh
I’m so funny
I love me too
Exactly I use a ASUS zephyrus g14 with ryzen 9 and rtx3060 it gets hot as hell when playing games and stuff the cpu reaches 95-96 even while using a cooling pad
at least it isn't intel and they aren't thermal throttling
The temps are realtively stable at 90 ish C
doesn't really increase
Tbh I am really fed up with my laptop since I bought it I had multiple issues. There are 2 which annoy me the most, overheating and horrible battery life
you expect horrible battery life if you even have a dgpu..
you don't wish.
Unless you're framework and you can physically remove the dgpu
