All of the tiny fraction of cables that melted were caused by not plugging them in all the way until the clip is fully locked in place. It’s fine

depends of your motherboard

in the worst case it will run at a base frequency lower than 2400MHz and you'll have to manually set it to 2400MHz, but there are high chances for your motherboard to support 2666MHz ram, so it will either automatically be set up at 2666MHz or you'll have to use a ram profile matching the specs of your new ram

well, it is indeed dumb to be bound by this stupid Oculus software, but it did infact work. Even with older games.

Installed Oculus Software, connected my old ass Oculus Rift DK2, and it worked. Mileage may vary of course, but even with that old of VR glasses, it still worked.

2. Some fans, intaking cold air and exhausting hot air
3. De-dust your pc now and again to get rid of any unnecessary dust build up
4. Clean your GPU and re-paste now and again
5. Make sure the GPU fans are running at an appropriate speed.. use MSI Afterburner to edit fan speeds
6. Test GPU on GPU stressors now and again to make sure it’s running smoothly
