And kirkenes has special trailer rule that you can only use single trailer at kirkenes otherwise autokick

so i found the issue

the errors were saying flare.red.beacon.redbeacon is already used. but it was not used anywhere other than with the mod code so it should have worked fine

so i changed it simply to flare.red.beacon.red.beacon for the entry and the hookup code and that fixed it

i wonder why it was saying the name was already used when it wasnt

Maybe something was corrupted on the download. Double check that you have all files necessary as map edits can sometimes be more than one file and re-download them.

Im going to be honest. I would not use a modded profile

It is so easy to mod your own profile now that downloading one doesnt make sense. Its just risking getting a virus for something you can easily do yourself

Custom mudflap, custom license plate with better lighting. Small lights for the top of bumper. It also has indicators half way along trailer and also 3 extra reversing lights on each side of the trailer to help me see when reversing 🙂

just explain to them that you are a trucking enthusiast and during covid you have been playing a lot of truck simulator game on your pc and you are trying to replicate a "insert company name here" truck since you have seen a lot of them in real life and really love their design

then add that you will not be using it for profits or any type of monetary gain and that you are simply looking to use their design to make a paintjob for your own truck and trailer in your game

You can custom skin your own vehicles as local mods but tmp wont support that because it means every player would have to have every paintjob file installed

But then also. They would have to find a way so only vtc members could use that vtc skin because otherwise trolls could find verified vtc skin and give a good verified vtc a terrible name

On the UV map of the truck cab, there is a gap between the grid for the cab side and the deflectors

All the space coloured in white is not a part of the truck, while every part with lines and a grid are

While skinning, you put the Griffin logo between the cab and deflector where there is a gap of white space, the part of the Griffin over the white space does not appear

You dont need to make the background anything necessarily

Basically let me show you by drawing your image

You see where i marked red?

That is gap. Whatever is inside the red lines is not going to be on truck

So what you need to do is. Cut the image of griffin along the back red line. And then place the rest of it further forward on the cab

So youre going to have to do some size adjustment to make it fit properly by scaling image down a bit or squeezing it so it fits tighter on front of cab

The white background represents all gaps. So anything you put on white nackground will not be on truck. The checkerboard parts represent the truck. So only stuff that is on checkerboard will be on your truck 🙂

Easiest way is

Make sure youre driving the truck you want green headlights

Then quicksave then open quicksave game.sii press ctrl+f and type in my_truck search down 2 times

And you will find the _nameless for that truck. Highlight the _nameless and ctrl f search down 2 times again and should say vehicle: _nameless

Yeah if you pick low with no lights it looks much cleaner. Also on the scania if you dont like the grey doorsteps you can remove the doorstep code. Scania model has doorstep shape so if you remove doorstep code it looks like you have black doorsteps 🙂

those names to not mean what size each trailer is. it explains the configuration of the trailers

for example b triple means that the dollys are part of the trailers. they are all connected. HCT is where it goes fullsize trailer to a dolly which connects another fullsize trailer. bdouble is 2 fullsize trailed but instead of a dolly the dolly is part of the trailer

you can add any size trailer to any configuration with save editing. so without seeing a picture its impossible for me to tell you how it was made since there are so many possibilities

@crude pond thats easy! Its a save edit and all hes done is added the dumpers body "filepath" onto each trailer.

I used the bdouble log trailer, swapped the small one out for only the box and replaced the rear trailer with the dumper, also added the ladder thing to the rear and the mudflaps and markers ;) i also switched both of the definitions so its an actual bdouble dumper and i can take loads with it :)

If I understood correctly, now the game checks source_name first, and if it matches one of the default ones, the values of this default trailer_def are used. If you change the source_name to a non-standard one (for example, add/remove some words), you can only change the body_type.

The tank now (with the exception of food tank) is one whole chassis and body model, which is why it cannot be put on another chassis and another trailers cannot be attached to it (because this model does not have hooks for attaching the following trailers).
(The food tank body is not quite suitable visually, because it is located not horizontally...)

Tanks can now only be the last (third) trailers in triple/b-triple configurations 🧐

i change the body of all of them, appart from the last one, also change that ones chassis, then the one where i also changed the chassis, also change the def to dumper and it should be customizable. on the wierd looking things im assuming the thingys that block wood from going into the cabin, simply go to the store and change a tire on al off the trailers and those disapear

hey sorry for random message but if you look at the trailer def file you can edit it so that it will take the appropriate cargo. then if you give that 1 def file to all 3 trailers it should let you take jobs in any country as it will only recognise it as 1 trailer

I just buy a mercedes actross, swap out the chassis and then add all the accessories lines with all things on the chassis i want on there

Ive seen 2 people copy my truck, but all they did was swap the chassis, they didnt add the sideskirts or the lower exhausts and that kinda stuff

Gues adding all those lines was to much for them :p

Can't believe i didn't already have a picture but this is one I've got, on a 2016 Scania chassis, only thing I don't like with this chassis is with my heaviest trailer, the front wheels don't roll, it looks like the front brakes are on constantly, it handles fine and it will spin if you lift the axle, so I use this for my not so heaviest trailer, the 2009 Scania is still my go to for that.

Looks fine, plus I've seen quite a few trucks where i could see through under there like that kind of IRL so it's not really back. Best fitting chassis so far for that cab anyhow. i think the MAN was close but a tad too far forward.

TMP - as far as i'm aware - doesn't care about mixed trucks like before

while before a gap like that would probably get you banned for save edit abuse, now you'll have no problems

it's only when the combos are super ridiculous, like scania NG chassis + magnum cabin that it might be a bit sketchy

I'm doing prices according to Economy Overhaul, and doing prices for dealership vehicles that are just fairly old like the Renault Magnum, is a paaaaaaain. 😩

Not to mention that such models depreciated over time due to usage and all, so the prices in real life are much cheaper than expected.

A Renault Premium going for like 11k to 15k Euros, makes the older trucks, in comparison, just so much cheaper for example.
