There are zero engine mods for tmp, unless u add the volvo 750 engine but that's it.. There is a plugin that makes your game sounds louder but other than that no mods.

iirc, after trying to add so many either from something I must've done wrong or any other reason it'd just not show up the new ones

its actually pretty simple for me to add new vehicles as long as they don't have emergency lights

just copy paste model paths, change name to suit new vehicle, (add 3rd axle if it's a 3 axle vehicle), and boom

done

for vehicles with emergency lights though, i have to import the model into blender, turn all of the emergency flares into custom flares for the mod, and then export

i could've done it the lazy way and just edit the /unit/hookup/ defs of the emergency flares, but that would mean all police cars having their sirens on 24/7

back to modding I really want to make a mod for the SCS lowbed that adds a tour bus as a cargo, but for some reason my Blender crashes when I import the bus and the bus wheels, though they work separately

I think it has to do with either a corrupted file or inadequate permissions due to the error the Blender console gave

the mirrors in the game have a "camera" that point in the direction that the mirror is facing, the camera's view is what is displayed on the mirrors

if that camera doesn't exist because of the mirror accessory missing, the game won't have anything to show on the mirror

that's also why, for example, if you have a local mod tablet that shows the front mirror camera view, you have to have the front mirror equipped on your truck and have the front mirror in view

otherwise the display would be frozen

@mossy turret so heres what i done. Im looking for thoughts as to what else i can try

I decrypted sii file of save game and found license plate of car i want to change. Found that the licence plate was being read from mat>lp>france>62mat. So i opened mat in a simple text editor which then directed me to the tobj file so i found a hex editor and decrypted the hex code of the tobj which lead me to a dds file. I opened the dds file with a dds viewer

On the viewer it showed me only a flag. Anyways. I replaced the dds file by editing it to a black square the same size since i want my plate black. Saved it all went back on the game and opened the save file after doing a quicksave just to save the edit in the folders closed game and reopened it so it would read the edited file and the plates flag had disappeared but there was no black square and the plate wasnt black either

@cobalt nymph does that mean you can add them to use in tmp? I was looking to find even just a dim white glow for the cab so i can see the buttons at night.

When the lights are off its a really dark green glow. To the glass and when the lights go on it looks awesome!

The other ways to get stuff to work is save editing or local modding

So on steam you can get some “mods” that will lets you customize for example a triple trailer but all that mod is doing is save editing for you. The only way to get stuff like sounds, stickers, interiors, ipads, ps4s is to local mod

If you want to local mod i have 2 links to 2 discord servers but i cannot post here i can only dm. And before i send or you ask me for them you should watch videos on how to local mod. Theres a lot more that goes into local modding compared to save editing
