Promods is an expansion on the scs games map, it is so much bigger with many improved roads and cities but you need all map dlc bought that they list for the most up to date version

In short, if you are intending to buy all the DLC then it is totally worth it getting the promods download, they have done some stunning work to and added thousands of miles of roads, ferries and new countries to it from the far north being Iceland to the south being Egypt.

Long reply incoming:

• AA: I highly recommend improving the anti aliasing as the vanilla one is so bad. Either use 1) NPI (tutorial on RoExtended forum), or TAA mod (on SCS forum).
• Graphics/weather: main options are, 1) Weather 2.9 + Realistic Rain or Cold Rain (all on Steam Workshop), or 2) Realistic Brutal Weather (on SCS forum)
• Vegetation: Main options are 1) Grime’s seasonal mods (on Wordpress), 2) Fael Vegetation (on Steam workshop), or 3) tree_improved and grass_improved (on SCS forum). This has a decent FPS hit, so I would save this for later

Also for color correction, you have ReShade (but if you use NPI AA you can’t use it), or NVidia Freestyle. Plenty of presets online you can find for both

Personal opinion. For AA, use TAA unless you also use smooth interior camera mod, otherwise use NPI. For weather, I use Weather 2.9 combo. For vegetation I don’t use mods since the 20FPS drop isn’t worth it imo

I still have yet to try it but might be a while before I do, on those west balkan jobs and scs has messed up so bad with the update I've had to drop my graphics down because of all the fps drops I'm getting. Had a nasty crash while doing one on a tight corner and it dropped from 50 to 1fps.

Don't think there is, try play with the drivetrain setting or there is a scania dlc pack that may change it slightly

You just may need to find the right gearbox for it as well

In theory yes but it won’t work in TMP perfectly. You can convert the mod to a local mod but since TMP only allows the usage of "addon.hookup" slot, the model will most likely be shifted except you edit the model and change the slot position

I haven't used any but there are sites for the sounds out there that you just add the files to mod folders. Best way is have a look at some YouTube tutorials on how to use them. If you want to try save editing there is a tutorial in one of the channel pins somewhere.

Well simply what it is, it's modifying the information on the save file, you can do a lot of stuff to it, like change the bumper from one truck to another and many more, and there are many tutorials on how to do certain things

You open your save and change lines of text to what you need and load back in.

You can use it to swap things from other trucks. Like swap a volvo 750 engine into another truck, add lights and bull bars. Pretty much anything can be changed but in most case only you will see it. Even liverey can be added but that only you will see. You must be careful though not to cause lag in the server as this can get you kicked or banned if you do too much.

I don't know how to do it personally but that is what can be done from what everyone talks about,just thought I would give you a quick reply for it.

Some should be seen as they are in the game, if you use a mod then it might not be seen useless someone has used the same item. You can get truck dlc for low cost during the sales that add more stuff and then swap things. I believe you need to turn off the cloud saving, open the local save file, change things and load back in. Then you if it works you can use the cloud save again

Yes but you'll need to add the raw audio stream URL not just the website address.. you can get it by opening the Network tab in dev tools in your browser (ctrl + shift + i in chrome). Click play on the website to begin the stream and see the URL.

i.e. for my radio station, url is displayed like this:

• copy/paste the URL
• open live_steams.sii and go riiiight down to the bottom
• duplicate the very last entry, and swap it with your URL and increment the number in brackets by one
• then go right back to the top of the file, and increment stream_data by one

I'm curious to know where SCS sources the default list of stations though if anyone knows? There's about 250 in live_streams.sii that get added by the game I think when it asks "search the internet for stations?". Would kinda like to know how to get mine added to that default list 🙃

@elder lion I played around with the site you linked and it looks like its not a regular, simple audio stream:

the site periodically fetches the m3u8 file (which points to the actual media) and loads the media in chunks

I tried just putting the m3u8 into live_streams.sii but seems like the game isnt capable of resolving it to actual media (VLC media player can, though)

Yea I tried that... interestingly, the wheels from Curtainsider/Standard-box trailer worked fine (just too big) but when using lowbed wheels, the entire axle seems to revert to a fallback wheel; this one:

well that site you linked isn't the radio station's own website, it's a middleman that gives access to thousands of stations and that's kinda their specialty: just focusing on how the audio is delivered to the client. So its unsurprising they've added this extra complexity. Presumably to prevent bots/scripts from easily piping the stream somewhere else.

@elder lion The station you're listening to, does it have its own website? Might be easier to work with that to get a raw audio stream URL

Just tested it on my end, works for me, station plays in-game. Bit of a shame you gottab jump through so many hoops... might make a open-source script that starts a restream at the press of the botton

Yea, because doing the steps in VLC starts up a local http server. The game then uses that local server to stream audio. If you close VLC, you close local stream, so game will then have nothing to stream from.

Just an added note, when you do the steps in VLC, Active Transcoding actually isnt required. It still works in-game wihtout transcoding. So no need to have that checked and waste hardware resources with trancoding.

Those custom trucks that @tiny leafwas talking about were either save edits or local edits;
-save edits are easier but with a lot less range of modification and everybody on the road can see the changes
-local edits are harder unless you use an app to do it and only you can see the changes
