I loev the new DAF but I would really like the Volvo 750hp engine plus the Volvo 6-speed transmission in it but I have no idea how to go about it. I already have the TS savegame editor but I don't know exactly what to do with those to swap the engines like I want to

TSSE tool doesn't do save editing in the terms of swapping engines or transmissions, you'd have to do manually save edit or use Advanced Customization from the Steam Workshop for that to work

Go to Convoy.

Here you can use mods legally and not trying to put mods in files and ruining everything.

I play on TMP and I played on Convoy with people who got local mods on their rides.

I assure you that it was painful to play, my PC was lagging even more than usual.

I like just local modding the interior of my truck. Like for example I used to put a Renault Manual Stick in my Premium and that added a nice look for me. And with a Trailer I added a old look to it by using a ETS Trailer and that looked nice with my Premium. While nobody can the trailer I changed or the Manual Stick in my Premium it's fine because it's just a neat thing to do if you don't have any friends to play with on convoy.

Not that I don't have any friends It's just they don't wanna play on Convoy.

guys, question. i’m trying to modify some details on a truck’s engine in the def files. but not sure if this is possible, bc if i place the modified def.scs in the root game, it refuses to load

probably bc root game files are encrypted differently than the way mods are meant to be, cus the mod .scs files are just fancy zips

The type of logs is changed in the settings on the Tab (I don't remember which tab), but the old logs will not change and right now it won't do anything. In order for the logs reflect these lights you need to find member of TMP staff with them on the truck 🤔

Download a workshop mod, go to singleplayer, set up a trailer like that, disable mod, join tmp.

easiest way. otherwise it’s too complicated and you’ll mess up.

well try to remove the rear fender object via codes. it says "ets2 context" on them when you hold it so you should be able to change it

A quick look shows many of those map mods are old versions not the latest ones e.g. EAA in now version 1.45 not 1.41

The game log is showing a number of incompatible mods, one of these could be the issue, of the maps we share, you seem to have the same fixes etc.

Trying to get map combos to work can be so frustrating, just moving one mod in the order can sometimes do the trick, it's definitely only for the brave.
We feel your pain, but some of those maps are not ones we use anymore.

Yep those are the same as mine, even when you get it to load you may find going to certain areas causes a crash due to asset conflicts

EAA about 2 versions ago was a nightmare to get it to run

Generally speaking, mod creators will have a part of the title dedicated to what versions the mod works on. It's better to get mods on the Steam Workshop if you can, just so they're automatically updated (I think Trucky Mods does the same thing, might be wrong), but modders update their mods for new version pretty quickly.

If i recall correctly, i think you can, if you save edit your wheel + accessories, you can move the offset, (The number that goes up by 2 for each axle, so 0 would be the front, 2 would be the 2nd ect. change that offset to an axle that doesn't exists, that should work as long as you do the wheel parts also so tyres, nuts, hub, rim. Been a while since i "accidentally" made them disappear unintentionally messing about with that.

Wrong folder, it should be in Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod on your C drive

SCS Forum, Steam Workshop are better places and if you want to know if a mod is legit, just look at the name of guy who uploaded it on the website. If he's verified, no risk, if he's not, probably risky.

the dolly type like ".../dolly_conv" is exactly the same for each HCT trailer type, it's just in the front of it a difference like "scs.box" vs "scs.gooseneck"

So, I have imported both into blender. The difference seems to be that the gooseneck one is paintable while the box one isn't xD

Left one is the box one, right one is the gooseneck. Red is the default color for paintable parts

That's cool. I know the box trailer dolly automatically gets painted the color you choose for the main trailer.

Like for this one, when I applied custom Krone paint the dolly got painted white by default

For TMP... I really can't say, I don't do save editing by actually going into the files, and if you're looking to use that for TMP then without save editing you can't do it.

once you download the mod from steam or sisls web site you can open the mod with winrar then you need to find the exact location of where the dds is located from there you just edit save and test in game
