Pretty common on trailers here to go bad, every 5-7 years need replacement.

Those are automatic brake adjusters, when the brakes wear they get thinner, so without these, if you run on the last bit of brake stuff (dunno the English word) you have to put your foot to the bottom of the floor in order to brake a bit, those things compensate for the wear of the brake shoes

However wheel bearings are another thing, those goes way too often on our Schmitz trailers…

That's Schmitz for you also depends on loads, we don't have any smitz trailers in the company I work for now, previous employer had only Schmitz, 700 pieces of them, always same problems, brake boosters, wheel bearings, and for some reason the air bellows wear really fast

you get used to driving the bigger trucks, it's all about just doing it, the exam is easy enough in that sense

I am very good and safe and confident driver and i love being behind the wheel. But in exam conditions just get super nervous for some reason
