Pay for me is good here, $25 a stop, plus $90 per trailer drop, plus milage pay
Nice!
we switched trucks at once stop light in the night, the 560 was a slug
Sounds like my buddy who works for Kreilkamp. He's got a very similar gig.
Something must be up dog cos when you hit the hills that's when you notice the thing pulling like f
Flying past everything.
lol that did not pull, no matter how you drove
i tried different styles going by torque, or by sheer power
nope... the 450 was still steadily climbing by my side
Probably about to die
no clue
4 million miles on it or something haha
it had only like 1.4 million
and considering it was still even a 6 series.. it must've been running long distances
the turbo was pushing loads of air.. but cant be sure if that went into the engine or were blown past the turbine axle
but be sure mine gets a good working 5.7mpg average 👌
thats probably like 40l/100km
Yeah
kinda bad
My truck averages 7.5-8.0 per trailer full and empty
11.4 empty, 6-8-ish loaded over 500 miles
But you'll get there 30mins after me dog haha
more like 15 mins
85 to 89 difference is jack shit
no wait..
you were the number 5
nvm
More like 96 🙊
you need to rename yourself to Sam 'Fuse 5' The Tang
🤠
and not wood shoes
which reminds me.. I need new shoes
Since you're going dsv
atleast im going to go with style, and take the trademark shoes every long distance driver has, easy to kick off wood shoes and leave them on the last step
I thought it was sealed 😂
many have thought lol
should have an ol 4-series topline with the hilarious door flaps that go over the steps
you could have your entire shoe collection on the steps
Get to the site, boots are filled with water "for fuuuuu" haha
now we talking
Finnish rally course, i see
looks like the road to my house
its just not that straight and flat
also can confirm, my driveway is a rally stage
@waxen quiver what one you driving? And why didn't the daf reverse in?
Kolekas dont reverse
It was a 1 way street. Very difficukt to get in, let alone in reverse
Exactly.
And what does it matter its one way? Its blocked anyway
Plus by the looks of it hell have to now reverse out and reverse in for him to get the rear containers. That's well far back.
To get on it, you need to take a side route of a 1 lane road , you cant drive the wrong way on a busy 1 way road just to go in reverse, besides the 3 other 10 foot containers were for another street where he did reverse into it.
You driving the scani?
i was just there for coordination
Aka collectig paycheck not doing much? 😂
The perfect friday for evening shift, eurodance, good weather
And air conditioning 😎
lol
Man, I miss my Cascadia.
Had less problems than this T-680...
Those are some great pictures.
Is that your truck?
Not chucking it down where you are?
Lucky you
It's perfect with the orange Scania below the orange sunset
It was slightly sunny for a brief moment and now its back to chucking it down again ._.
scotland has its own weather
Bit far up from your usual haunt aren't you? 😅
aha, that wasnt today. but yeah i was. thats nearly as far as i can get from where i usally am and still be in scotland
opposite end of the country
So, how much is my pay if i do?
I request almost 16€ an hour to start my job at your company
Atleast 16
@thick cedar thanks, I love being on the road, I can't wait to get a truck that I can call truly mine.
Me too. 😍
@grand pawn Not the place to advertise.
Ok sry
Good grief that windscreen
Nice Pokemon you got there.
Thank c:
And yeah, I hit a fog of bugs last night and again this morning.
Windshield washer is useless
Sounds like you need RainX

I just ran out of money for food and don't get paid until the coming Thursday.
oof
Cents per mile is gr8
why dont u find company who actually pays u good
Because of my accident.

That sucks man
so basicly
u dont get paid enough to even live
arent they supposed to pay you when your in your truck for food and what not?
not if it isn't moving
wow thats nonsense
as far as i know from some truck driver friends
if theyre in truck for a week
they get a budget for food
and have enough to even eat at like decent restaurant maybe once on side of the road
I mean
I have my own food budget
But the company doesn't pay me food money
oof
The vacation I took to Louisiana screwed me over
Took it too soon
Was worried my grandparents may pass while I was gone though
So I didn't want to wait any longer
your accident?
Slid into the back of another truck on a patch of ice
Things are very different in the US. Comes pretty close to slave labour
I salute all the truckers on the road
It is a very rough lifestyle. But, the pay is good, if you get the right company.
Ended up ordering a refurbished Garmin Truckers GPS because the one the company gives is a massive pile of s**t
It has tried to divert over 300 additional miles in a round trip, because it don't like two lane roads.
If u get paid per mile who cares if the company GPS Lets u do a detour 😂
More money
yeah but you also have a time your meant to be at your destination
^
@thick cedar sorry for the bit of off topic, but is that a glacion?
Yush!~ best ice type 💙
Nice! I got an Eevee I will be putting in my truck.
Yay!
Navajo just refused to replace a headlight assembly that has a short and keeps burning bulbs.
Oof
If it has a short wouldn't it keep popping fuses and not bulbs?
#1 thing I love when drivin me truck irl, Snow, especially blizzards
I used to draw daf 95s when I was a kid cause they're just a box on wheels
love the little fly jib
Been a while since you posted Brad, nice to see you back
what was the jib for anyway? doesnt look too far 🤔
@candid solstice yeah i figured i was a “guest” today
and it seems to keep it away from the crane
And the jib is for extra distance between the boom and roof
It wasn’t really needed but i had it with me anyway plus you can better have some extra instead of a metre short
yeah, but it would be less maneuvrability capri, and doesnt matter if youve got to extend or not, still lifting at same radius.
we dont have any fly jibs like that, dont really have a need for them
if the hiab cant reach we have cranes for it
and if the hiab cant reach its a fair distance
If the crane can't reach you're calling in a Heli 😄
😂
Sunday pulling 😎
Your Sunday pulling and my Sunday pulling are two different things
pushing and pulling either way
@paper bear the jib is quite handy to place glass and place it under a hook when you’ve got to reach a top somewhere
Although i prefer this one
Kroger turned me away lmao
Thats gonna take a while
That reminds me of a time at my Walmart where there was a huge mix up where we got a Kroger trailer instead. Not sure how that ever happened.
@queen brook you should wash your truck 😄
Why? It would get dirty after Just a load
U a driver?
yea
Nice show the outside
XD the truck is parked and i'm home

Then take some pictures when you are back in it ^^
But i was driving da truck for 1 day i have a dsf xf and this mercedes is the truck from an other driver
So i must stole the key for this
Oh I see xD
Really, this is my truck
Nice
W0w did you get to sit in a truck
Nah it's mine xD
Doubt its yours, i think its the companys you work for 😎

Otherwise there wouldn't be that "No mobile" sticker on the dashboard, I guess
And red meat kills you
trucko mode
I'm actually quite curious, how is real life trucking compared to what is shown in A/ETS?
Like what?
Loading, unloading, balancing it right, effects of bad loading in bad weather conditions, weekly rests, paperwork in general, different weather conditions, ADR regulations, and crossloading.. load securing.. actual breakdowns or mismatching connectors.. ETS2 also missing adaptive cruise control and road geography etc.. and naturally inner workarounds in various yarfs, terminals etc
Loads of things that are not covered in ETS2
And thats only box stuff, not containers, flatbeds, crane, tanker or bulk stuff
Indeed we are
Finally back in Colorado after a week in Utah
Took a cool picture in the layby at the top of Parley's Summit last night
A question to the HIAB-drivers (and all the other crane truck drivers here)
Do you prefer having the crane directly behind the cabin or at the end of the bed?
Are there any advantages of any system?
having the crane behind the cab makes it more difficult to get close to your lifting object.
If its on the back you can reverse right upto the object, gertting you as close as possible
(crane lifts more at smaller radiuses)
although having it on the rear means if you want to load machinery onto the vehicle it can be more difficult as then cant have ramps.
also an advantage of having the crane behind the cab is weight distribution, having weight on the back end means if youve got a lift axle you almost always have it down, meaning more wear. also i think it looks beter behind the cab.
but if my crane was on the rear, i could get an extra 2.5m closer to whatever i was lifting, which at a close radius means A LOT. like, thats probably 4 ton extra
becuase i dont have to extend past my outrigger to lift it
ithink ive seen it once where a truck had a movable crane
like the stone trailers where the crane can move
the truck had that
ofcourse it cant lift as far out but it still works :d
"commonly on brick trailers" 😄
big passenger
What are you transporting?
Bottles of Acqua Morelli by the looks of it
Get off your phone while driving

Convoi koleka style
What are u hauling brad
Boom of a tower crane
Show it 😄
Did another one earlier today with the tower itself and counterweight
It’s a chill day
When there is no work for my hiab i drive with the trailer boys

I’ll take another pic at the construction site if i don’t forget
Ok

Compost wednesday
Tank parts
What tank is it lmao
a metal one
Also round
🤣
LPG holding tanks
14' tall, and within an inch either can of width being 11'
14ft on the trailer yeah?
No, overall height. The cans are 11' by 9'
Yeah so 14ft when on trailer.
I'm 13,7 cab height.
Ah, got ya. Thought you were asking if the cans were 14' tall
No as that would be a fair height.
Higher than what it looks.
We can goto about 16' and still be safe in the UK.
Safe as in you can get under motorway bridges.
Yea, that would of been do able ish if I had a double drop
A what?
A double drop, another name for a lowboy or RGN
How is it a double drop? Like what made then call it that? We call them step frames.
Because they step down.
I do not see a bear
What?? Where is that Copycat?? 😂
@sinful light how do you not stop on the side of the road and crack a few open?
This is no Street is Company place
I mean, how can you resist the urge to drink a few
The fact hell lose his job?
yeah true
Sry i can this nö only write in german
Ich fahre das täglich und wir Fahrer bekommen in den Brauereien immer ein paar Flaschen geschenkt für uns selbst
ooh nice
mostly used translate but i can get a few word here and there
"I drive this every day and we drivers in the breweries always get a few bottles for ourselves"
Yes the Translation is perfekt. My English is nothing the best i have beginn lern this 2 years
late is better then never 😄
Yep
I didint go to schools to learn english, its all from google translate, and sometimes i speak better than some native speakers
Yea i can see that
real
Nah but you went to school to learn Swedish
Didnt learn even that
The store where I parked the truck last night was robbed as I slept in the truck. They even tried to get into the trailer.
The robbers failed to break the seal on the trailer door though.
This one will operate for us next week
@paper bear no idea on why they got the name double drop. We've only got the one RGN though, everything else is either a flat, step deck or a combination of one that will also strech
Lol
That would've been a hell of a ride
MAN?
you do realize theres crapload of different mercs, not just your 18 ton 460hp koleka machine
also thats an MP3
if the cab came from the chassis behind
i think thats an Scania 16 litre V8 580 GSR900 Streamline Topline
its instagram you bunch of clueless rockets
no its clearly a myspace
No, its Whatsapp
Its Jöllis Sisu
no its patrick
I can't wait to get my own truck that I am not sharing. And to see home again.
Jobsite?
yo is that a boost gauge

Spotted this while cycling, the black and yellow match very nice together in my eyes!
Ewww.. a spoonfork
Pimp my ride

What a nice Scania. Greeks really know how to customise their trucks 😎 👍🏻
You euro guys sure like yalls lights lol
just making your vehicle look like a fucking christmas tree
@shell moon nice google picture
Also that scania is disgusting
Yup
Been waiting for an hour for a load, still nothing :(
🤔
Yummy
That is a fancy truck wash set up
Did Daniel go to a dealer to change bulbs?
Aww jesus he did 😂
Its too hard for some ppl
lol
My boss does not want us to grow something on the truck. He says no matter what we want we buy the part and the workshop should grow it.
Where do they get the seeds from?
you mean install?
I like how he gets insulted for trying to communicate properly with you....
I also do like how it's automatically "a dealer" in your eyes because it's inside a garage it seems
Also different companies, different rules. Some trucks have service subscriptions in workshops etc depending on regions and deals meaning that no matter what you want to do or not they dealer won't let you. For example I had some broken lights on my truck which I claimed warranty on when it was rather new and asked Scania to just give me the parts and I'll replace them myself, but they weren't allowed to as they had to mount them themselves.
damn the hate
listen if it was an LED lamp like most modern trucks it would be understandable, but for a halogen bulb... 4 screws and change a damn bulb its not so hard
and trust me, non dealer garages do not look that clean
Pretty sure it would be more expensive to goto a dealer and get it replaced. All the downtime and all.
Literally a few screws and bam, it's done.
Like, any company has bulbs lying about.
They won't even notice you've changed a bulb.
My company expects us to do basic maintenance like bulbs, fuses, and Glad Hand seals.
Doesn't matter how easy it may or may not be, different countries different standards. If his boss have told him to do so then its probably wise of him to obey his boss.
True
I can't do anything that would require me to get under the truck, or inside the engine bay
It's also an insurance thing. If something were to happen like shortcircuits or fire, however unlikely, it would be covered by insurance. That tends to get a lot harder if drivers fix things themselves as there's no "quality control"
So a fair few companies spent a bit more on maintenance if that means less of a financial loss were their vehicles to be damaged or destroyed
Lol, I was overweight by 500 lbs on my second ever load
I have never understood why you stick with such stupid pallet measurements that doesn't fit properly inside your trailers....
Ikr
European pallets: either 3 next to eachother in length
Or 2 in width
Assuming they dont stick out if theyre properly stacked
It is
If it dont wanna go and u on electric pallet mover
Just use some speed
Tull it fits
LOL
if your trailer has overloaded what you going to do?
yeah but if pallet box has fell off or trailer has fell off of the road what you going to do?
Wait until I post pictures of my loads tomorrow. Then ask why.
Actually Muzolf those milk containers fit perfectly if you got lots of them
We haul trailers full of them and putt 3 on like the long side and one on short side and so on all the way back
i mean if your trailer has loose on the road what you going to do?
Wait you lot talking about dropping the trailer by mistake?
Well if you have connected it properly it won't happen
i show you on youtube
If you haven't you'll most likely drop it just a few metres from your start
You can also by mistake hook it up some what weird and drop it a mile away or so but that's rare, you can also like get other causes that aren't to be blamed on the driver
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtR_BdAjN6Q have a look and what that i mean
Meh I find it rather easy, we used to drive riggids before with containers on with them nasty legs and we had to switch containers instead that was quite a dirty job to be honest
And in the winter it was a nightmare as there was snow stuck everywhere on them and they rarely fit the chassi properly etc
Coupling yes, but I'm not talking coupling. This is switching 2 boxes every time and couple off and on etc so it takes a lot more time
That's why I said it was extra nasty when snow stuck to those containers everywhere
Only Times trailers fall off really
Is if a retard Pulle the pin when drivers asleep
When i worked in warehouse a trailer slid off the truck when disconnecting
Once
Because the brakes somehow unlocked or something
Just some forklifts to raise it backup and done
Something failed
Parts can fail
This happend during disconnecting or something not sure
It Just slid right off :D
Dude had it Parked against dock
Truck ofcourse on brakes unlocked the pin and started lowering feets
They Raised the dock
Boom
It slid backwards Just enough to fall
😅
Parts can fail yes but literally EVERY brake on a truck and trailer locks down in emergency mode if its out of air
Yep
Idk how it happend but yeah 💁
Did someone say overloaded?
It aint that big of a deal
A few tons there and there and yalls stress about 500 pounda
500 pounds is a hefty fine here with weigh stations everywhere
It's weight restrictions we are worried about, not power problems
I think at best i has 4 tonnes overload
Not my fault they load as much as they can fit
Tho
It isn't ours either, but once a truck leaves the lot, it is the drivers responsibility for everything. Lights, weight, tires, tape, everything.
Wow loads of fridge talk 👌
Actually find it kinda interesting as it's the opposite of what I do.
But some trailers have a shunt buton so you can move them without hooking up
And you can get different jaw sizes for fifth wheels. More for heavy haulage to occomidate a larger pin, so if you hooked upto a normal trailer the pin can just pop out vertically. You can do the tug test and it'll be fine but hit a bump and it'll go.
Don't know why a fridge hauler would have that but that's something we have to look out for on our stuff. We've got a collar to increase the diameter of the pin.
My worst overload was a forklift weighing 36ton but with extra weights, jib and carrier, and steel plates to stop the wheels going through the trailer, around 40ton on a 3 axle Broshuis with air
Under a 470 Scania with a hiab so probably 75ton total on a non STGO plated truck
Not bad
Mine would be a 40t digger, 5t pecker, all buckets and a diesel bouser with 2000l in it(don't have an adr ticket).
So grossing at 70 odd ton
All on a semi plated for 50t gross
All dropped off across the road from a VOSA checkpoint
We've all done some thing we shouldn't have. Or atleast in small companies it happens
Or with the real wagons
Just a small tip with 5th wheel things, when you come to a stop, pull the trailer brake, nudge enough forward that you are resting against the jaw, this way morons cant unlock your table
Same applies to rigids too
But you dont need to worry about it when theres indicator lights, atleast with TAV hitches
Also what overloads? My top record is some 13 tons
with rigids it doesnt matter much, as if they pull the leaver, as soon as you let the pressure of, itll open
in greece we have many trucks fully customizabled even D.KONTOS team are rcoking the streets with their V8 - V16 powerful engines.
People can say whatever they want, like saying the trucks look overkill or like christmas trees, but if it is about truck art, Greeks are the ones who literally make the most beautiful custom trucks together with the Dutch.
we've seen plenty of trucks over the world in Greek events even from Truck Motivation Team which is a group that posting daily truck news over the world.
Please post such pictures in the #photos channel, it's not really appropriate for this channel. See the pinned messages for more information
i thought #photos is related only for truckersmp pictures in-game from ATS/ETS2. why this is channel is called: #irl-trucking for some reason lol to talk about truckers IRL.
" Are you a real life trucker? Cool! Share your truck pics and experiences here! For random truck pics, use #photos "
i am a D KONTOS fanatic trucker IRL lol so which channel to post my trucking life, here or #photos guide me.
Someone already took a hammer to it
It's simple @shell moon if YOU drive a truck then feel free to post picture of your truck here or daily things regarding your work as a trucker. But if you don't and if you only like trucks and to share pictures of them then #photos is the place to go as Moh previously said.
Trucker and person who likes/have interest in trucks are not the same thing.
And as you yourself quoted the channel topic pretty much explains it all already as well.
Those CFs aren't bad trucks
@serene wedge be happy your not driving the older models of the daf trucks.
not saying they are bad, i just prefer the new ones.
There both dutch quality so not a big diffrence between the 2
Well with the older trucks you can really use that much of the engine brake because it just goes over the rpms but i have to say the speakers in the new DAF should be upgraded to be honest because if you drive you can't really hear the speak on the other side so
priorities
But the boss might be getting a new DAF XF EURO 6 and he said if everything goes Well i get it since all the other people aren't that good of driver because we have another one of this And all the mudgaurd are off because they can't drive
But its a great truck it does the job
This is the mudgaurd on that other truck
This is his 2nd set of mudgaurds
XD
DHL Utrecht.
oh ok
Going to hellman
At hellman to be honest
I'll try to take a picture in a second
Driving Hunkemöller
Best thing there is
someone has to deliver it
well they do 7 weeks of training full time to get the cdl so I bet they do plenty of it
i guess its just a thing you learn by trying and experiance
in ets2 i can back up a trailer real easy from inside the cab with my g29
isn't that hard, gets complicated with steerable axles
Double trailer coming soon 👀
The new dafs are no where near as good as the 105s
Seats don't go back enough.
If you've got a manual the stick is rubbing your left leg all the time.
Things have f all power compared to the euro 5s. Those things pulled
The new ones sound like a vacuum cleaner. Older ones make a nice stututu
Older ones look more aggressive.
And the stereo. You can adjust the balance. It will adjust levels for side to side.
@formal minnow already did
I was talking about how it came stock
@paper bear you for have never been in a new DAF the seats go back enough also there i no stick running your left leg also 105s is the XF version kinda of and the engine is older but we cant pick container up with the 105s also have you got a truck other than ets2?
Also the newer trucks don't have the feeling that the chassis is coming off
What most of them have.
But everybody his own opinion.
I have been in a new daf. You must have smaller legs so it might not affect you as much. I'm 6'3 _ 6,4 so for me it's bit crammed.
Also, you ever driven a new xf that's manual? Then you will k ow what I'm on about.
I've but it wasn't rubbing my leg
But the only reason we dont have 105s anymore is because we cant pick up containers with it we're not allowed to use euro 5 there euro 6 only.
Flowbelow aero.
Apparently it improves the fuel economy by .0001%
Looks dumb as hell but I don't make the payments on it
A huge chunk of the aero kit is actually outright gone
Thinking of ripping the covers off and tossing them in the shop's spares bin 👀
The truck in this picture sitting next to me has all of its bits
God almost all these aero kits are all broken now
hit a pothole so it pops off like in the movies
aero kits
on a big ass truck
wich isnt aerodynamic in the first place
burns way too much fuel and cant turn
It's laughable, innit?
and they waste money trying to get something back of it
😂
like
why do u guys need a entire kingsize as a bed
all u need is a matress
room for a cooler and done
see
thats normal space in eu sleepers too
but the stuff ive seen from some us trucks
Top bunk is down seems as I use it for storage
their truck seems to be the same size
as european city trailers
like 12meters like how u wanna drive those around tight areas
LOL. Yeah, that's a thing.
u cant even turn em
looks like one of those nascar trailers
its for hauling expensive cars
Yeah iirc they're double decker car haulers
classics n exotics n such
They don't have to back them in unless they trip plan poorly
This guy did back his into that line behind him though
yeah, gl trying to back up a 53footer and a cab this long
double bed
It was truly a sight to behold.
He backed big Bertha there in just as well as I can back my teeny weenie
just cuz theres so much electric stuff in there like fridges etc
sewage? they dont even come with toilets
black tank fo the sink
I have an APU on my rig because it uses less fuel than idling the engine all night
Outside of using it for A/C and heat, as well as me microwave, I don't find much use for it
When my girl comes to stay with me, on the other hand... I'll be glad I have a power inverter. 😂
Excuse the messy floor, it's been a while since I had time to detail the truck
External generator
nice picture
And a Wyoming sunrise
Thank c:
Ah, screw it. I don't really like this picture but I'll keep it up anyway.
is there a reason why the left mirror looks different than the other one?
well.. propably. but what
You mean the smol boi mounted to the hood?
yeah, the black and white mirrors
oh
there are actually two white mirrors, didnt see that
yeah whats the small one for then? Blind spot?
Yup, blind spot mirror. Don't really need it on this truck but it does help me watch my trailer tandems without breaking my neck around a corner
aight okay, thanks
I actually use similar setups in ATS. And used the same setup on American rigs in ETS2
limeryn
Some companies, like C.R England and Swift, will have a blind spot mirror on the left as well
u needa clean your wipers too
swift dont now how to drive they might aswell remove the mirrors
Again, bugs 😂
I actually have more problems with independent owner operator types than I ever have with Swift.
Swift and C.R England hire felons. So a good portion of those guys need that job and don't drive like salad tossers.
Owner operators don't care. Some will hit you and drive away with no regard for your property or their own. Especially if you drive a company truck.
Exactly.
theyll probably just lose their whole company
@paper bear it might of looked a little rude about what i said with"do you have a truck other than ets2" but i was kinda annoyed sorry if i was rude to you in your eyes.
They'll get fined and whatnot, but I don't think it'll destroy their whole career. If they're smart about being douchebags they have money saved up in case they get caught.
But nobody that stupid is that smart.
i honestly
would be devestated if id get in a crash with a car or truck if id own one
a few months ago a company truck driver was bullying some private owner
forcing him to the fast lane
throwing stuff trough his window even hitting a car behind
litterally forced him in the gaurdrail
destroyed his truck pretty good
the dude lost his job and license
other dude almost went bankrupt because the insurance wouldnt cover since it was considered road rage altough he didnt cause or do anything
Ouch...
You know when somebody else takes your trailer 1 god damn day you open the doors and find out they ruined your trailer door
rip
Yeah, if I damaged my $200,000 pride and joy I'd be absolutely wrecked myself
At least it'll be easy to report the dingaling
I pull a different trailer every day
I always end up with someone's handy work
This trailer is a 3 months old
he probably hit the dock
That's annoying as hell
because hes retarded
by going too fast
your supposed to go real slow once your almost at the dock
He catched a trailer
oh
👀
the waberers
When pulling away
always caught one at warehouse i was
each time theyd come
their other coworker / other truckdriver would guide themm
they usually came by 2 trucks
they didnt park in the dock directly since they needed to be sideloaded
Up on the door is a lot more damage
but still managed to hit others
Well yeah
like a chip of paint removed
u know?
where u see like the stuf fbehind it kinda
but ofcourse a bit bigger
it usually wont bend in
Here they use aircraft aluminum or some bs
Any european trucks here?
Really fragile stuff
Yup!
I'm one of... Three? American guys
europe ud be gone within a hour depending on the situation
I don't get it
So you're a european driving in the US?
In the states it's like hauling a sardine can
Thats the trailer he hit
lol
It'll buff out lmao
if theres a trailer directly next to u
why almost immediatly after pulling of u steer
I've honestly clipped a trailer before.
Didn't do that much damage.
And I was backing in, not pulling out.
most docks can litterally fit 2 trucks infront before u are out of the pit
like 2 trucks total
he probably was impatient
@thick cedar this guy was pulling out
Thats what i dont understand
Backing in I do but
He got his god damn license for it
ew tuna
I usually have rice & beans with
lemon + tuna = love
It's cheap and it works
Also yes
Can't wait to get my girl on the truck with me.
Six months!
you mean you haven't seen her for 6 months? @thick cedar
or is he gonna be on the road with her for 6 month
yeah possible
if truck is blocked slacked of gravels it mean you have to go around the gravels
...
Kek, blocked by gravels.. its a damn gravel pit lol
@brave drift, in six months she'll be coming on the rig with me for a bit. After she finishes business and economics in school, she'll be living with me indefinitely and will more than likely be in charge of the business side of things while I do the actual work.
Basically, she and I have it planned out so that I'm going to eventually buy my own rig. But because I'm not a numbers guy, and she's a numbers gal with a brain, we'll make a great team for it.
oh nice
Chances are I'm gonna end up with a Cascadia Glider.
Want to eventually import a Scania T though 👀
yeah but scania can be too much costs
Would have to be an older model I could work on myself, essentially
Otherwise holy crap that's gonna be expensive
Import may Cost alot tho
- emisions cuz u gonna want An open pipe
But theres usually a valve installed to go trough An diff exhaust trough filters
Service may be a issue if something big breaks
Cuz u dont want ugly American wheels etc
Those are some sexy pallet jacks
I'd take any of them for a ride
and then fall off or crash into the boxes cause I'm staring at the wall
osha is calling
got my foot stuck under one with my steel toe boot, that was fun
you just suck at driving anything if you manage that
i love to wheelie the older ones that have no torque limiters on them
put all the weight back, kinda wiggle it back and forth and then launch forwards
the old ones give all the power they can when you twist the handle
I was wheeling a pallet of plastic bags for my store up to the registers(boxes are about 40lbs, with 64 boxes to a pallet, 2560lb pallet) with a manual jack, because I can't bring the electric jack on the sales floor. Had a manager "help" by pushing the pallet as I was pulling (I was capable of moving it just fine on my own.)
I was coming to the door from the back room to the sales floor and I started slowing down, watching for customers as I was coming out. My manager didn't stop pushing, and ended up pushing the guide wheels up my left foot.
Luckily, it didn't break anything, and I just got a sore foot and lost temper for the rest of the day.
Also, this was without steel toe boots, cause it's a Walmart. :/
was about to ask, was it walmart or one of the big americans
i once had 2 stacks of pallets fall over me :D
i was dragging them because we needed em for picking orders so i brought like 60-80
but the floor is basicly flat but tiny crack just caused it to bounce
and almost have them fall onto me if i didnt jump away :D
thats a fun 2nd day xD
must’ve had a lot of rest there
oof
but since we talk about that stuff might aswell share one of my storys u know 🤷
im 13 and still collect pokemons

Where I live there is jobs for 13 yo.’s
Part time job you mean?
eew volvo i perfer renault
damn thats really nice having a tarp on the truck. Camping is the best, even better with a truck :D
camping is best in rural areas, rather not do it in the middle of a city 😄
@low grove full time
Wow
Hello there, sorry if this is not appropriate channel: Does anyone know if it is possible to work as a truck driver when you are blind from one eye, or is there some kind of law against it like with people driving sea vessels?
Probably depends on where you live, but since you need to pass an eye examination it's pretty much up to the doctor to decide
Ha dang that's a wise thing you've done there Daniel, not bad, not bad at all!
In europe you need both eyes for the heavy class licenses, (C, CE, D, DE)
???
It looks so cozy
its a news article
or idk what to say about that
but i wouldnt go into the industry expecting that 😄
yeah
9 or 10 hours just driving is taxing
especially in somewhere in the flattest part of US especially.. you'll be staring at endless arrow straight road at worst case
and better hope theres radio coverage or something to keep you awake
:DDDD
Actually @mighty jackal if you'd move to Norway you'd be able to get a CE license and work as a trucker.
So no you don't need both eyes to get a CE license in Europe.
oh?
It's an EU law not necessarily something that is practiced all over Europe, those countries that aren't apart of EU I suppose they'd decide themselves how they want to treat such cases
Atleast in Finland in the doctor's checkup that is required for the heavy licenses, demands of both eyes to work
I know for a fact that EU wanted to like ban people like that from driving trucks in Norway too and there was this huge outrage amongst truckers lacking vision on one eye that had done it for like 15 or 20 years already without any accidents etc so from what I know that law never got passed here
Yeah but last time I checked Finland is also a part of EU 😉
yeah
you cant pass your medical if you have bad eye sight, nevermind only one eye, which means very limited depth perception
In your country that might be the case, keep in mind that every country is not like UK.
exactly
But as far as i know, you need to have 2 eyes
even if you have perfect eyesight in 1 eye, andblind in another, you wouldnt get pass
Okey actually you can't anymore it seems. In 2010 the laws was changed in Norway in such a way that people with vision on only one eye was able to receive like a permit saying they're fit to drive however it was only issued to those who had their license before 2010, after 2010 no new people are able to receive that permit
Man this really sucks
The thing is, my two absolute dream jobs are a captain on ship and trucker
Like, I’m autistic and these two things are my special interests which means I pretty much think of them most of the time
And well, I would go into marine academy or start getting my license in a heartbeat, if only I wasn’t blind from one of my eyes
So yeah that’s kind of sad.
Yeah luckily enough I think we'll see more and more improvements into gaming and simulators in the future so even tho you might not be able to drive a truck I think a simulator in the future might make it feel like you do.
ETS2 is awesome for me rn tbh
It helps me calm down sometimes, and let me tell you, I am almost always Not Calm
Trucks are cool tho, my dad used to be a trucker and I could ride along
Does anyone remember these white disc-shaped papers? My dad would always fill these out but I don’t remember why
its a disk tacho, just like the current digital tachograph, but recorded on paper.
and just because you cant pilot the ship doesnt mean you cant have a major role in it
A chief mate (C/M) or chief officer, usually also synonymous with the first mate or first officer, is a licensed member and head of the deck department of a merchant ship. The chief mate is customarily a watchstander and is in charge of the ship's cargo and deck crew.
Compare a flat part of the US to a 'normal' part of the UK
The uk has many random and weird elevations, windy roads and worst of all
very narrow roads
so what youre saying is, the best drivers are in the uk? 😏 😄
dont even doubt it
lmao
I know this is late... but I've seen alot of US trucker vids and alot of UK ones... and to be fair. US truckers can get their trucks round some impressive obsticles... and the UK ones... well, lets say that unless they do the "move forward, turn, move back, move forward then back again" system, they fail on talent... but Love ya'll all the same 😛
lol well just like everything else. If it dont fit, force it xD
thats a mindset you never use
just like the mindset "Im bigger so i have more rights"
yeah... to be fair, in my car i do get scared sometimes
but in the truck.. nah, i'm a softy lol
just because some uk truckers are popular, doesnt mean theyre any good
are they UK or ?
US
oh... I've never heard of them
lol nuff said
Waberers that's an amazing company!
Ahhahahahahah
Those dudes couldnt even backup without hitting trailer
With a koleka guiding them
When they didn't even have to park in a dock but between 2
😬
Frode Laursen is the real deal
It has a lot to do with the operater. It takes time and experience to make things look easy and second nature.
Can't rush it, or force it.
Oh we talking shit about swift?
So you can enjoy the work. Thank you boss that you let me drive again and again in holiday destinations
Drive to Portugal lol

@cosmic condor hello, what is the problem in the channel ?
I've crossed that IRL, it really does stand out when looking out onto the river
Rotterdam
Did some work on my rims 2 days ago and it turned out to look amazing!
We in it to win it
