I do hope you're being sarcastic, but I can't really tell
Man we dont care
Youโd be very easy to kidnap tbh
Not thatd ud want a truckspotter like this in your truck

Trucking in real life? Welcome =^.^=
Welcome to your new home @rustic bolt
Thanks mate
Heyyyyyy nice.
Last time i was in a truck in real life, it was around 8 years ago... :D
ok, I'm going to buy a real life truck xD
what is this "real life"? :c
read channel description
Awesome ๐ I used to drive irl, really thinking about getting back out there.
Even though I don't drive trucks in real life, I would love to
Yes
I only once sat in a garbage truck :/ didn't really have the chance to drive a truck with someone unfortunately
True story
I am a truck driver ama, i got hour wait ahead
If only my emplyer would understand for good taste
Can anyone write me all jobs what has to do with trucks ?? please
There are so many
Containers, lumber, chemicals, liquids, bulk, refrigerated, grqvel and other loose material..
Theres alot
yes
Pretty much everything at somepoint moves on rubberwheels
Ok then
I drove a 7.5 tonne merc once or twice. that's about it really.
Well i have 76 tonne sisu
thats basically it
droven it for 2 years now
DRIVEN*
or what ever it is
driven it is ๐
๐
Scania is like a Ford Mustang with a 5th wheel, overhyped pos with a big engine and a ton of fanboys around it
I wouldnt say that.. kids love the 730 etc V8s in the end real work is done on the 450s etc. driveability wise, Scania is good, its firm enough to be comfortable to drive, has good driver comfort.. Volvo is really flimsy and feels like a normal car, the steering is very numb and light making it uncomfortably light and requires you to constantly correct it. Mercedes still doesnt have wheel that is very adjustable compared to Volvo or Scania, Man: same as mercedes, driver comfortabilities is missing. Iveco is not a truck nor does it survive work so nobody uses them... Daf i never driven
trucks of peace
Only mustang i ever found pretty is the 1969?
The rest are just horrific
Also comparing scania to some american ancient relic is insulting
American engines are just laughable, stupid amount of displacement and no powet
Power
anyways. good morning people, its 0357 sunny 12c with clear sky
@rustic bolt I can agree with you about American engines :P
@rustic bolt most scanias I see in france are base model 430s.
hmm maybe they are 450s then
Now is proper
And of course we going with non synchronized eaton fuller ๐
the best manual gearbox there is
is that numberplate held on with orange tape?
lol
illuminated with orange tape?
stands out more maybe
Illuminati confirmed
You guys make me laugh, dissing American horsepower all while you drive around in your 4 cylinders. We may not corner as well as EU cars, but in a straight line, you don't stand a chance.
this bot can cram it up its behind
Hush, @flat dome is very sensitive
And for the record, the 5.0 is 4.951L but that makes for a rather large namebadge, so 5.0. 49cc off a pure 5.0 but whose counting.
I only respond because I own a very highly modified Mustang. It's a 2006 with a 2017 coyote 5.0 transplant, well the block anyways. The heads, intake, exaust manifolds, plynum and more aren't stock but iher heart is a 4.951L V8 monster.
And it eats your super cars for breakfast. No, it corners like a battleship, but it was built to go straight very very veeerrryy fast.
and when you floor it it goes right into the nearest curb or barrier
not true....well it used to be true when it was a live axle rear end but it's got Roushe IRS now so it goes nice and straight, hooks well thank you very much to BMR racing panhard and x frame stiffiner barsn tower braces, struts and springs but it was true that in it's origional configuration it did have traction issues.
to the left to be specific...it always wanted to go left...I think it wanted to race nascar I wanted it to dragrace. I've bent it to my will...
Are we allowed to post pictures in here? I have an older pic of my pony, she's currently in Utah getting frame work done to allow for a larger intercooler and she's getting new Brembo 6 cylinder performance breaks so the pic is a little dated but still I love my car....
Went straight into feelings clearly
Yes @rustic bolt , if you don't love the machine you can never get the most out of it. I think you have to really appreciate the machine to push them to the absolute limit.
I have funny taste in EU autos as well I guess. I think the Ferrari Dino is one of the most overlooked wonderful cars ever. Such wonderful lines and so much you could do to the suspension, engine, everything. It's a beautiful car.
Also a big fan of the Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite, wonderful little car.
Not such a fan of the Mk2 version, but the Mk1 has such great spirit. I would love to own one.
I saw a FSM Syrena R-20 once, a little pickup truck. It was also an amazing looking little auto.
Import always beats muscle
Blasphemy
how dare ye
a 70's charger, a lamp post, and some chain will rip your unibody civic in half
its this thing called torque, you might have heard of it
No muscle ewww
lol look at you, needing TWO turbochargers just to break 150 mph
Plymouth Superbird, first bone stock american car to break 200 mph
or you could race against a pure american made, VEE EIGHT powered topfuel dragster
exactly, no supra would stand a chance in a race longer than a 1/4 mile
Superbirds were made for doing 200 mph for Five Hundred Miles, non-stop
needing little maintenance due to their simplicity
they also look quite ravishing in bright blue

Supra ftw
A new dupra with nos and twin turbo could beat that 200mph
i wanna see that Superpooperscoopera go 500 miles flat-out tho
@viral field merican engines
Love them
Our sisu has ISX Cummins and our old had Cat C18
Those sounds are amazing
With straight pipes ofc
i wish SCS would update thw transmissions with the roll function. its amazing how egologic 64ton truck moves at 28l/100km
That's not bad tho
Empty straight road and driving with legs, i see no problem
7m roads, 70tn tomato load, fast corners and high speed..
whoa
70 tons of tomato!
Throw a few at someone you don't like
Ok, fine. 53 tons of tomatoes.. Total weight around 70
(I laugh at your heavy hauls SCS...)
lool
I've only been in a truck once in my life.
I would like to be a truck driver one day... Still got a few more years left :D
@rustic bolt We we see more of your truck by chance?
Do u drive other trucks ?
Scania is sort of mine, I do occasionally drive other ones aswell depending on arrangements
out of the 230,000ish km i clocked probably 190,000km on it alone
There is lonely Man TGX 26.440 and a Mercedes 2551 and a 6x4 Volvo for HCT purposes, the rest are Scania
neither the Man or the Merc are very good to drive.. they lack in driver comfort and the Mercedes radio antenna is absolutely wrecked
So u drive a comfortable truck
@rustic bolt this is your favourite channel to show your Finland-Made Sisu truck to all the drivers here
๐
๐
What do you guys think
noice
Nice looking trucks to have yum yum
Can't believe I'm 23 and still haven't driven a proper lorry
Because 5 speed 7 and a half tonners don't count
What type of license do u need to drive those trucks across the European Union ๐ช๐บ
I think it's a class C
Class B is the normal drivers licence
and I think the 7.5 tonne licence is a class CE
In France anyway
Class C if you want to drive that truck without trailer
CE if you want to haul a trailer
Class C and CE are 7.5+ tons iirc
Oh ok, I had it backwards, my bad
and the class D is a bus licence if I remember correctly
Class A here is a motorbike licence
Drivers get class c license driving under 26,000 pounds
@quaint tulip Unless it's different in France? I'll have to look it up
afaik the CE licence here is anything over 750kg towed weight
wrong again. C licence is a truck over 3.5 tonnes, CE is anything over that weight with a trailer
(3.5t - 7.5t are C1 / C1E, but if you got C / CE, you autmaticly got C1 / C1E)
according to eu laws driving licenses are everywhere in the eu the same
Yeah I guessed so. I don't know too much about the licence systems
my girlfriends a good few years older than me, so passed her licence back when you got your motorbike, C1 and trailer licences at once.
but there are many holes in those laws
as in?
eg you are not allowed to drive with your c/ce/c1/c1e commercially below the age of 21, but almost everywhere you can get exemptions if you are <21, especially if you are working as a trainee
law doesn't intend exemptions, but doesn't forbid them either
fair enough.
In EU you need CDL-like training for commercial transporting, CE is full truck trailer combination, C is truck,C1 is lighter truck,
Or well, whatever training it is that you are "professional"
Actually you can drive a CE combination under 21
As long as you have professional competence
Ah yes
I wish i can buy the truck and have it shipped to USA
Not really
here in Europe you earn Money every month
its not paid by kms
in some countries like Netherland, Sweden or Austria you earn more money than in countries like Spain , Romania or Macedonia
not much. just above minimum wage for normal long haul stuff afaik
Around 2500e/month, base before taxes
that's not bad actually, where abouts are you?
Finland
Legit tried to clutchless in accident and that grinding tho
Where did you even find such abomimation
on a Sisu E11
My dads company just got a new truck
My dad took the photo btw, he drives the machine on the trailer
nice, what kind of machine is that? (kinda hard to see)
I mean the machine on the trailer @crimson turtle mentioned xD
ah probably
Cool truck
they've had Volvos for years now. they moved to merc about 15 years ago and thought they were rubbish, so they went back to volvo XD
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAcjz3Bj068 this is from a few years ago, shows the trucks better though
You telling Volvo isn't rubbish?
"Yo guys we have made a double clutch version on iShift which has the crawler gear which is never seen before"
XD!
yeah bud, I'm sure you know better.
No no i don't
but i mean like
when i was in a truck show
or what ever that is
and Volvo seller just criticized the new iShift mechanism
myself have only experience wih manual gearbox volvo
but yea
it's marmite really, you either love it or hate it, but I know from experience my dad's company beat the hell out of these trucks (work, not bad drivers), and they seem to stand up to the test of time.
But these are older versions
of Volvo
i suppose
the new FH can'r really take a beating
the FHs in the fleet don't do as much though, they're just highway cruisers. the FMXs are the real workers
and they only carry the 2 meter machines, which are only used on motorways. so those trucks never leave the highway.
the FHs I mean
Volvo F12
and FL6
are the only ones
that are my favourite volvos
love the sound w/ straight pipe of the F12
haha my dad's first volvo was an fl6
๐
Had my first experiences behind the wheel of a truck in that
Only volvos i can genuinely like is the F and first gen FH (the square lamp)
I've always loved the look of volvos compared to any other truck
Except the new ones
scanias are too rounded, the roof always looked bizarre to me
nothing will ever be as ugly as the renault magnum though
I love the old 70's-80's style mercs
Yup..
The driver comfort has not changed even today in merc
Seriously
But who doesnt like the sound of nature aspirated V10
I drove my licenses with a twin turbo V8 and a 3 axle trailer as flexible they are, pqin they are to reverse because of only single axle at front, it runs off to side very fast and wont go in straight line at all
the pontiac aztek of trucks
so what's the DeTomaso Pantera GT5 of trucks
i need my T H I C C
No
yeah but can your race truck do this
but technically that's a pickup truck
not a lorry.
plus race trucks are diesel. the superior fuel.
And with pleasure i openly vocal out that we are probably offtopic
not really, it's still real life trucking
It's a monster truck.
I really want to be in a truck in real life again.
I would like to be in a Scania Streamline
I sexually identify as a peterbilt 379.
if you don't like it you're oppressing me and it will trigger me.
I drive a streamline daily @gloomy portal
You get to drive it ๐
Well yes, its sort of my own, i drive it mainly alone so i like to keep it clean and take care of it.
its the company`s truck but just did 300.000km with it last week
here another shot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrzckFGvwFg&t=126s
I think he meant it just hit 300 000km.
ahh the satisfaction of perfectly nailed loading bridge.. guideline is to have it atleast 50mm inside, think 5mm is good enough?
(Cant hit the dock or the lights get hit, cant adjust the level because the 4.4m truck barely fits under the roof anyways..)
๐
@queen brook It's very hard to read sarcasm ๐
My dear Scania also has broken 300,000 mark this week i hear
Lmao i remember in vocal school
when we were training to back into a dock
my friend crashed into it
Its ok to crash when the rubber bumps meet, not when trailer lights meet the concere base
dunnohow really
The ramp is folded inside
yes but it was sticking out a little
Oh
and he would have hit the rubber bumps
but he forgot to lower
the air spring
xD
hno
no
thats not how you say it
you know what they say,
"eh, close enough"
Just take forkilt and push the trailer a little
Like we did in army
Expect it wasn't forklift
When one of our guys reversed few cm off
usually there is no forklift available
what i could do is press the brake release button on the trailer and pull it to the dock with a ratchet strap
but too much work
Or then when there is forklift load from the side
no side doors
You living in 70's?
It seems my Scania has recieved update to the Ecoroll. Now it knows what to do with long downhills to not go down 100kph.. Shifts in neutral bit before top of the hill to kill speed that will be picked back up during downhill, also rolls in gear if speed must be held under control... Beautiful
wouldnt shifing into neutral use more fuel than just throwing it into the highest gear?
No
Having it in gear causes resistance and slows down
In neutral it consumes 1l/hr
And the truck does compare weights etc that is the rolling in neutral more economical
yeah i guess just let the automagic crap figure itself out
Yup
Especially since it knows the road im driving out of memory
All roads you drive, the truck saves the heightmap and gps positioning
Eg. It might suddenly shift from 12 to 10, 15 metres before climb starts, because it learned that 11th gear is too long for the climb
put it in neutral and retarder on
take a cup of coffee
just so it dont go like fking 100kmh
No retarder sadface
Also in manual box rolling in neutral destroys the box in long run
Yup
Gotta fo it before it starts
Unless you really are Beethoven of double crunching
ummm what?
Dunno ยฏ_(ใ)_/ยฏ
that was mine
Volvo being the truck and Sisu the toy ๐
Your answer is wrong tbh
E series Sisu was built from renault chassis
Sincerely they had a deal
but only chassis and canib
cabin*
everything else was diffrent
from engine to
ye
everyting
1 truck
Knowing you, you only stare at the Scania there ;-)
i would if that soviet block office block wouldnt be blocking the view
Indeed, it looks horrible
Is there a Merc behind the Scania or am I wrong?
Yeah a MP4
It was a restaurant somewhere on the north of Madrid, truckers often use the road where it's located to avoid the mountains tunnel because you have to pay a modest price to go through it
hello guys hows everyone today? well im new here on disocrd and to ets2 and to the multiplayer side of things so thought id join here to get to know you guys. heres a couple of pics of the truck im currently driving its the merc 2551 mega space actros the only thing i dont liek about it is the crap auto box other than that its not a bad machine.
Get a scania streamline m8 ๐ ๐
scania drivers are like bmw drivers all show and cant drive lol
I do like the Scania trucks the most but Mrc is my second fav not far behind
Scania is best truck. Truckers drive them and take advantage of their brilliant power they can bring. Scania drivers do show their trucks off and customise them but they don't do it all for show. It's to make it better for them and they can drive. Jeeze comparing BMW Drivers to Scania Drivers is pathetic. Scania drivers drive their trucks properly not race around and recklessly drive. Pff
Scania and Volvo are amongst the best lorries
and a BMW driver is the type of person to under-take you and then zoom off almost causing crashes
Scania drivers drive their trucks properly not race around and recklessly drive. Tho that doesn't happen in MP :P
Which is pretty sad
I drive a Volvo, it's a very nice truck
Which Volvo do you drive, Zonates?
SgtBreadStick lol touched a nerve there i see lol you can customise any truck and make them better for yourself but nope majrity of them cant drive them properly ive been on the road long enough to see that is true, also ive driven many scania ranging from 113m trucks upto the r500 highline and i am really not imperessed to be fair the older scanias pre r series had a lot of drivers suing scania for scania back due to the seats being ofset to the pedals causing you be slightly twisted giving you a bad back its only the r series that recifiesd that, also the cab layout on the topline with the bunk above the steering wheel was a crap design loosing lots of space and also quite a mission just to get in the bunk again this changed ion the r series since the r though things have improved a lot but there nothing special over other trucks in my opinion they still do the same job and when your driving standard general haulage trucks at 500bhp they have no gains over other 500 turcks except maybe renault.
however dont get me wrong they are really nice to look at, the merc im driving isnt brilliant either it has lots of space, a flat floor a huge cab to live in but its not the best either, mine is 510bhp and i can honestly say going up hill fully freighted at 44t is like driving a donkey and it dies quickly, the auto box is very hesitant esp at roundabouts where it cant make up its mind if it wants to go forward or not, leaving a pause before it decides thus loosing your chance to get out of junctions and it uses fuel like know ones business also it likes drinking adblu aswell meaning it costs a fortune to keep the tanks full. granted mines only got a 400 ltr tank.
Is that an essay there? ๐ Jks but yeah...
The mercedes automatic is just hopeless, i also occasionally drive 2851 mercedes, it becomes absolutely hopeless when its at its full mass of 64 tons
Meanwhile it feels like the G450 Scanias pulls much harder than the mercedes
Scania is way better than Merc, thats why ๐
Has more torque probably
and the automatic is not as derpy as mercedes
"Hmm... Should i shift up or does the driver want to overtake this guy? I'll do a compromise and downshift" -Mercedes MP4 powershift
I'm watching a german guy on youtube who also drives an MP4, and he always complains about the gearbox too, sometimes it takes more than 5 seconds from the press of the pedal until the truck actually starts accelarating...
yup
sit at roundabout wait to get in.. You get your spot.. get on the throttle.. Hmm Does the driver want to go fast or just crawl? Lets try 6th gear.. Ooops.. Too much.. lets try 2.. oh wait.. i need to drop the clutch
guaranteed to miss your spot and you cut infront of somebody
Automatics never been a strong point of Mercedes trucks
I always thought truckers are manual clearly not
Not anymore
automatics have gone so advanced thats its actually more ecological to use automatic than manual
Dare say as technology advances though so does the trucks
my Scania 450 goes under 30l/100km even at full load (64 tons) thanks to the smart rolling etc what the transmission does
if it were a stick, i'd sit in gear all the time and it would be slowing down when trying to roll
i'd have to be on the throttle whole time to hold the speed and couldnt take downhills and slopes for my advantage because it would engine brake enough to slow down
Sorry for sounding like a novice, the most experience I've got with trucks is on ETS2 and ATS
the scania i drive for example keeps building a map of the world, always when driving new routes, it saves the topography (heightmap) of the road so it knows next time where is hills and downhills etc, first time if it never driven that route, it might not pick gears etc smartly because it assumes the road is flat, next time i come, it chooses perfect gear before even the climb begins and pulls up without shifting mid climb
then it knows that its going to be downhill on the otherside, it gets off the throttle and shifts into neutral slightly before the top dead center of the hill before downhill. this way it lets the speed die at the top of the hill, and then rolls down in neutral to pick up the speed back, and if its really long hill or steep, it rolls down in gear instead to engine brake and hold the speed from picking too much speed
dare say it helps with fuel economy as well
yes
when you roll for like what.. 50-100km of a 800km trip, you consumed only like 1.5 litres or something, it idles at 1.0l/100km when in neutral and rolling, as opposed to something like 32l/100km on gear and "holding" the speed
the merc is the same with learning routes, it has built in gps in the multimedia system and lerns the routes, it isnt very good as far as low bridges though as not all of them are programmed into the computer so you still have to be wary at all times, it also doesnt take into account length and weight, some pf the places i go are little countrys towns and farms in the middle of nowehere which are very tight and weight limited so i tend to run my own sat nav against the merc sat nav, ref the fuel while on cruise on a flat surface it will crusie all day in nuetural until a load is detected then it will go in gear have a brain fart decide what it thinks it needs boom down to 30mph then it will pick up again and off it goes. i do miss the manual split shifts sometimes but yeah fuel economy on my merc is averageing aaround 8-9 uk mpg pulling 44t around scotland which is the max im plated for but my main issue is the power for 510bhp it really doesnt feel it when things like volvo and yes scania pull like trains compared to the merc.
Mercedes makes good cars
But not trucks to be honest
Ive droven a 2004 actors in school
Didnt like to gearsystemthing
And then theres Sisu which pulls even more than scania ;)
when you get used to manual gear shifting its easy, the first truck i drove was a crash box which was 2 gear sticks 4 gears on each and a high low ratio that was an art form requiring double clutching to change gear then the weirdest i have driven was on a seddon atkinson which was a form of erf which had a complicated 3 shift color and a split range on the side for hi med and low range total around 30 odd gear combinatons which was interesting to say the least but now autos have taken over and i havent seen a manual in a long time which is a shame as it was better for keeping the beasts moving
I drive an eaton fuller
Its an pretty awkward box to get used to
I remember my first time when it was just grinding all over the place
ah the old eaton fuller that was similar to the seddon gearbox i can feel your pain with that one lol
I have driven it for 2 years now
Havent touched the clutch when changing for 1 year
I think
well you must be one of the few still driving a manual buddy, lol ref not using the clutch get those revs right and those gears just slip in, get it wrong and it sounds like your trucks about to fall apart lol
This is basically it
Ye it was really pain in the ass to get used to
But when you get the feel of the gearbox you just throw the gears in
ah ok ive never driven one and to be honest never seen one buddy whats it like
It's look like a Renault your Sisu ๐ค
It's a motor made by Sisu?
what country of origin is sisu buddy
No the engine what this bad boy has is ISX Cummins 440hp
But they do have their own engine
Oh I see
It's finnish, all of these are built by hands
No robots or anything used
Even the new Sisu Polar
They actually revealed a 1140hp engine 2 months ago
That was awesome
ah ok i see ford have just released a new artic also looks butt ugly and sounds like an old tranist ive seen 2 now and so glad im never going to be in one looks awful
Lemme finf yoy one
1140bhp huh thats a monster is the stgo3 wagon surely its not on a bin truck lol
ah eh11 420 not 1140bhp lol
Yes thats not the 1140hp
But thats E11
You can hear the use of gad
Gas
When changing down gears
Thats eaton fullee
ah ok sounds a beasty, you cant really hear my merc with the windows closed you feel it though open the windows and its banging clanging farting all over the place lol
The 1140bhp engine is basically supported by electronics
It normally gives out 700hp i think it was
But when you push the power mode on it generates the missing 440hp for 1-2 minutes if i remember
It can be adjusted
that must be the most powerfull engine in a truck to date then buddy i didnt think we had anything over 800bhp in commercial use
heres that nasty ford thing i was on about
Sisu is not used in commercial driving
oh how come
It's for earthmoving and logging or how you call it
And hauling like construction equipment
ah ok fair enough buddy you learn something new everyday
yup sounds like a transit van aswell ive seen 2 both in white both polish i think they were from i spoke to one of the drivers he hates it
Like you know how truck brands uses air suspension nowadays
yup air suspension has been around a fair while now on the rear axles at least,
Sisu still doesnt use that technology yet
oh dear cart springs that must make a comfortable ride for you ouch!!!!!
ooooooh that must be real comfy off road, good for traction in mud though crap for comfort levels
i bet theres a lot of stell there to keep ya steady
Ye
oops steal
Like we ppl who drive sisu usually joke around "If you get stuck just raise the axle and youre out"
i can believe that aswell lol
I have gotten stuck only once
was that driver error lol
Excavator operators are helpfull
lol i bet, ive never done logging or excavation type work buddy ive steered clear of that
like i said earlier im doing lots of farm work picking up crops like potatos etc so i do get some interesting muddy places lol
Ye i have done that too
thats not stuck buddy that is temporarily delayed lol
This year its my time to drive the combine again
And about excavator work like you said you wouldnt do that, i myself have operated one since i was 14
So 6 years now
And it is fun
i would love to have a go in plant what i meant was i havent drove logging trucks or working on excavation sites with trucks
oh id love to have a go in a 360 or d9 dozer or a big ass volvo digger
ive seen that video before and yup that is one special driver being able to do that i would probaly have brown stains on my seat lol
Big ass volvo digger ye
I have 1 year experience on Volvo CL 250 d
With engon rotator
And its pretty good
So good to load trucks and tractors with
very good buddy like i said id love to have a go in some plant machines but i doubt i wll get chance
yup here you do, i would ave to go and get trained which can cost a fortune so i defo wont be doing that buddy
Iron springs on lumber and gravel driving is good enough, airbags are fairly useless in there.. Also Sisu lifts the driveaxles(!) even on full load, something scania cries about if you have a washing machine in the back and it deems it immediately to "danger of overloading axles"
Thats scania
woah
But sooooo much better than cheap china led bar that is on another truck
lool
literally same kind as what i have, but copies
But they point all over the place and doesnt light up as well
I have only been in a truck once
It was about a decade ago tho
I forgot what truck it was but i think it was a Scania
lol
I'm sorry you had to put with that thing @queen brook quite a punishment to drive one
๐
I drove one trip with a FH 500, it was quite a torture, going all over the place and never ending correcting to the steering and overcorrecting it all the time, it was horrible. Then i realized how lucky i am to get to drive a Scania, its a smaller cab, and bit less power but atleast it drives like it should
I drove it from helsinki to kempele then 1 week before we found new guy
This is the only scania
i have driven
ever
Well i can't comment on that because it's not mine or anyone who i know
it's OSAO 's
basically the school
i was in
ah
And well you can see me in there
smiling around
with my buddies when we were going to get more of that gravel
2 years old picture
I saw a lot of trucks similar to that when I was in france.
I dont see why you wouldnt smile especially if thats a school truck
Well it's Mรถttรถsen old scania
School truck?
which had 1110bhp before it came there
1110?
Its V8, its a Scania, its proper truck and good looking
yes
Thats a bit much
Well
Opticruise?
of course
thought so
didn't like it
how old is that
probably 5th or 6 series
i can't recall
It's definately a nice truck.
yeah, the first opticruises are horrible
only recently the automatic has become actually great
But i remember when we got down to the gravel pickup place
and when we started going up with full load
that V8 crackle was music to my ears
Consider this: I drove my trailer license with a 3 axle twin turbo V8 mercedes that had some wierd ZF 8 pattern box and splitter, coupled to that a 2 axle flimsy semi trailer
Pattern was something like this.. each gear had a splitter, to get in the high range (red) you had to nudge the stick in neutral to the right past a spring and then you were in high range
I dont know, but the linkages were all lose so the gear positions are actually accurate
or bushings gone
if you ever driven an older Sisu with Fuller, You know what kind of a stick in a bucket it can be if the linkage bushings are gone
even 10cm of play in every direction while in gear etc.. what a joy to try to figure out is it in gear or in neutral
was that the old style volvo?
It was FH12
2001?
i think it was from 90's
Yes it was 1995
only driveable volvo since F series
Oh f6 gives me so huge nostalgia bomb
try F10 or F12
Ahh the cubical cabin and the endlessly clicking volvo engine with the รผber accurate fuel gauges lmao
at best the fuel gauge was swinging all over the place between empty and full when you had bit less than half tank left
I remember when my teacher said something abut clutchless shifting
what i did in vocational school
he said it's not allowed but still did it in driving lessons
atleast no one saw it
Ah yes its one of those, Dont do it in general, but let me show you
๐ yeah my teacher showed me
when i asked how to do it
then i started doing it too
Well to be fair, you were driving a C with a Sisu.. Its a skill you should be taught consider you are already commading a fuller, better learn to do it properly
but now i shall eat
Ye everytime we had Sisu in our use in "training track"
i just claimed it
Still have picture before going to the driving test
is that snow?
yes but it's from 2 years ago
oh lol
Too Bad UK doesn't get snow anymore, well only like a day of snow and it's gone then it snows at the complete wrong time of year...
I wonder if we'll get 2010 snow this year
its not uncommon to snow in midsummer here
wat
i think few years ago right on midsummer it rained snow like substance
lool
that year chrismas was hotter than the midsummer also..
weather has no rules
Also the cold has slowly shifted from december to mid/late january for some reason over the years
at best december averige is +0c, january is -20c
hey guys hows everybody today ๐
gucci
moin sagt mal stimmt das dass am november 2017 truckersmp down geht und scs ein multiplayer รถffnet
Riiiight..
@orchid zinc this is an English speaking text channel. If you speak German please write in #german
Thank you for your understanding
ok sry
76 ton?
yes
I got a contract
to drive that thing
next week
But for once only
It's a 6 hour job but it will do
That's cool
It's funny how people still complain about 40ton Gigaliner in Germany while you guys carry almost twice as much load lol
Whoa
105 ton is currently heaviest i think for a log truck that is going between sawmills and factory
wow
hey guys hows everyone today? damn 104 tons thats heavy ive only ever been close to that a couple of times but not with that that 3 bogey setup in the pic. i take it you get loaded in a lumber yard then off you go with it, or do you get loaded in the forests where there trees are fell? im asking cause those tyres dont look like an offroad type tread.
Yeah its moving between storage and saw only
No sane person goes to forest with a semi trailer
Idiots lol
ah ok i was thinking damn thats some skill taking that off road with those tyres lol still thats impressive must admit ive never driven more than 1 trailer ever, the hardest thing ive hauled was a king trailer with steering front bogey now thats a ball ache to reverse.
what about logging trucks
you haven't lived until you see a pete hauling logs out of the forest.
Meh
https://asiakas.kotisivukone.com/files/ammattilehti.kotisivukone.com/.album/1478587666390_1_large.jpg Heres a more normal log truck that actually collects from the forest piles
@fleet jungle what is that king tailer then?
semi trailers are just so solid and awful to go to with forest, they are not agile at all. clumsy and you are in trouble if you need to turn because you are in ditch most likely
I'm sorry.. 2 axles and only 1 at front
and its so short
that runs off to the side constantly
all full trailers that are shorter than 10m should be banned entirely, they are just downright dangerous, both to reverse and to go forward
the trailer cant be loaded heavy enough that it would grip well enough on ice so it the front axle will be snaking side to side on snow and ice all of the time
it becomes like a sled behind you once it starts it sideways movement, then you are either killing somebody who comes opposite side of the road or it pulls you to a ditch
well damn i have never been tempted by logging and even less inclined now lol i take my hat off to you guys that do that job esp with thos those setup you guys have been posting i wouldnt know where to start ๐
yeah a cheaper truck is going to be eazier out there
i mean like
look at this
polar timber
and yes it looks like merc new actros
but that is what we don't talk about
I couldnt find pretty picture Jรถlli
might as well go tracked then
Thats the casette for
nah
thats not fuel efficient
but tracked vehicles are fun tho
best drive is screwdrive tho
no
thats the same picture i posted like week or 2 ago
that i happened to caught turning merging infront of me
Well it is there
lemme find it
i dont have facebook so i dont know
Or was it BigWheels of Finland
well i need to see
Ye i don't use facebook often
just checking these 2
i dont have one
and never do 1
it's useless
But dude
i can't wait to drive that next gen scania
wednesday we go
LMAO
this is your photobomb from yesterday
@rustic bolt
i see what you meant there @queen brook ๐
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETYelgOHHf0 things you can do with full trailer..

an essential skill to learn when going to forest..
because most of the time the paths leading to piles dont go around
how many lights and cables you broke
i think it took me 30 minutes
didn't break nothing teacher was in the other seat
He had to press the brake 6 times
xD
lol
brake*
oh
i typed it right
i wanna know has Mikko Lumiaho spotted @rustic bolt yet
Dont think so
Doesn't seem like
but me twice
:p
I think i was applying for E.Huhtala
when i was seeking for a job
i may be wrong
Clearly you werent good enough ๐
I feel really really sorry for the driver who needs to load that thing
both of those trailers are 2 level, and to fit all, its all height limited cages
then you have the banana pallets that you need to get rid of because they wont fit in the basement because the oversized pallet doesnt fit between the wheelwells
esa ruhkala has alot of timber equipment
almost 15 sisus if i remember correclty
no wiat
it was eskola
yes
thats orange
thats alot
but look at all of those
sisus
there
that is alot
but i don't understand ppl sitting on bridges
for straight 10 hours
looking for trucks
Choise of career :P
well he is an excavator operator
i know him personally
but still tho
10 hours
is too long
ohh damn
I think i found a picture of the truck im going to snow plow this winter
Theres a damn nice truck frame sitting in certain timber delivery company's yard. I'd definately drive it
How would timber work with a SM300, Cummins and Fuller sound like? 6x4 and lifts
i hoped sisu or scania atleast
but i still have hope
but they did talk about volvo
driving a volvo is a punishment
You forgot daf and iveco
Or a MAN would do also
Theyre pretty coll
Atleast what i saw in Kuljetusmessut 2017
?
Ye?
what sort man
man as a plow truck
Uhh
Found ze old picture of changing the bed
I can totally see i didnt reverse it straight but we gucci
intresting method
Well
We place a chain from one wheel loader to the other
Then remove the support feet
What sort of system is that?
dont think it was really meant to be removeable ๐
well yes but not something you do alone
like cables or swap body with hydraulic table frame lifting the bed in air, then flip the feet in and lock it in and go
รฅla kiitolinja
I like how last winter i had bed heater on
Then when i wad tipping i was like "why is only water"
But it happend
Happens
Yes and it was supposed to go for ski track
But didnt happen
I liked driving snow off from streets and yards
Better shit
Actually no need to even take them anywhere
Bed heater on and tip the water out
Even if it freezes
Heres better
Its an old one but it still checks out
This time im driving volvo not sisu ;)
Anyone drive in Australia
hey guys everybody ok today? sorry bud no i have no experience in driving in austrailia
scania has nice built in coffee cup holder
Keep ye eyes on the road ye gibben but I am curious as to what that that cup is on
Discording and driving is not a good mix
Indeed
@rustic bolt whatcha think
The cup sits in the steering wheel spoke at perfect angle, and its not like i pay attention to the camera, just spam the quick camera button and hope for semi-clear picture
its good better than my cheap american hats produced in china also i installed a sisu truck mod for ets2 am i on the right track?
yes you are !
Perfect
Hmm.. Full potato load on 2 levels, that delicious 10 ton overload makes G450 work nice and hard
soo... how do you handle situations where the load is in wrong order?
you get the truck idling in lo-lo, then you lay infront of it
Right
