Nah but for real Scania is better than Volvo when it comes to driveline intergration, fuel efficiency in heavy loads which results in lower fuel consumption per ton-kilometer, chassis and build quality, heavy-duty performance, more responsive throttle and clearer mechanical feel and the resale value is typically stronger and easier to resale.

Vovlo in turn has better cab comfort and ergonomics apparently (i personally don't agree about that one as I deem to sit better in a Scania or Mercedes for example), driver assistance systems, electronics and future tech

One thing I personally love about Scania is that you can pull out the bed to gain an extra 10cm ish so it becomes as wide as a regular single bed

The driveline isn't all about gearshifts, it doesn't matter if the Volvo has dual clutch or not when it takes half a year for the truck to process that you're actually pressing the accelerator. Also Volvo may have won some Green Award driving on autobahn but notice that I said heavy loads, ergo not some 30 ton total weight in a small city but loaded at capacity in challenging terrain like for example up north

If we were to load less that means we can't bill the customer the same amount which in turn means that the truck does not generate as much money anymore

Had a colleague in my Wiiks job load metal scrap until he was around 51 tons, he got stopped after 8 hours in snow and he was overweight over the margins. Max weight is 50 tons but there's a 2 ton margin, so if you pass 52 tons you're in trouble

Well, you need Class "B" (Car) - then you have to visit a theoretical course usually in the driving school. Then learning until you pass the required 80% in the theory test. (Applies to C and CE). Once you finished the theory, you do the practical part. Then the practical test and then you can drive, just not commercially.

Then you need the C95 Module, which allows you to drive commercially. Is an own test and once that is done, you can request the normal license for your wallet size and ur good to go (as well you need the tacho card obv). Quite a hassle but it's good it's that strict.

I want to share the events of this week.

1. I got stuck in the same place 3 times (they pulled me out after 5 hours).
2. I drove under a 3.7m railroad (I have a DAF 106 (not a Super Space)). It was a couple of mm short and it caught the upper spoiler (but the damage is barely noticeable, so it's not a big deal).
3. I drove across the bridge at 13t (I'm 15.2t), and right after the bridge there was a patrol police station (they let me through without any problems (the signs led straight to the bridge, I don't know what idiots put them up)
4. I saw some little piglets that ran away into the bushes.
5. I drove on 2 new roads, I will never drive on them again in my life.
6. The salt was poured into the trailer crookedly (more on one side), and when lifting it, the trailer tilted heavily to the side (the workers threw a ton to the other side and were able to unload it).
7. I lost my electric razor in my car. I have no idea where it is and I've already ordered a new one. It'll be a shame to find it after I pick up the new one.
8. I have welded mounts for the 100ah battery into the bomb bay, all that remains is to secure it

Hey guys, question. I got a new job yesterday. Will be trucking for a new boss. I asked if he could send me a picture of the trucks cause when i was there they only had the old trucks around.
He send me this. Now i was wondering if any of you woth DAF- knowledge can tell me what model of DAF this is? So i know what i will be driving XD

Also lookong forward to driving a DAF for the first time since learning how to drive a truck. Heard a lot of good things about DAF from other drivers, hope it's all true
