I was not allowed to get out, i had to do it all from the cab, only time i was allowed to exit was when going infront of a dock to show the guy that there was enough room to open the doors and not being 10 meters away
Which was what you were saying for the dude to do
Met up with a buddy in Rovaniemi
Nice kottikärry you have there
What does it mean
Its that small 2-axle trailer
the centre-axle trailer?
Yeah unfortunately
Yeah but they still suck
Worst system but at least better than 3 axle
Brand new truck an trailer week 9🥰🥰 FH16 Aero flexo 24m
Buddy of mine starting with us getting my FH5 Dryvan 27m💪
We got one we use when delivering to powerstations in the middle of the woods. But we got a rear lift on a 3 axle.
I rarely see 3 axle without lift on 1 and 3 axle
Stalkers huh 😂
that’s at a mechanic
sounds like me in a car 🤣
Oh
Btw do you know how to read those readings
i dont understand that stuff
it’s the speed that the truck had while there was a workshop card in the tacho
the highest speed is 113 km/h on a normal card
it’s just the card number
so both the violations on the bottom are from the same driver
actually
do you have a guide or whatever on the tachograph printouts ?
what is the 113km/h 104 km/h
have you not learned that in drivers school?
no

We had to - we had an own chapter just for tachographs (how to use, what to do and what does what mean) xD
boring hour but most stuff was more company side stuff, so i slept in

yes i had a class like that but we just learned the basics, no printouts or anything
just the maximum driving/work times
max speed recorded that’s over 90 km/h
I am not sure why it’s twice
What i learned is how to put the card in
How to take it out
How to put it on ferry, out of scope etc
idk about that ferry stuff
And how to print out a day log
there is a ferry mode????
Yes
btw do yall put your card in in hammers or bed
Ferry mode is basically u are allowed to drive but counts as brake
Some ferrys are 7-8 hours

ah... yeah
Off the ferry and then take the rest of your break
.
i always take out my card with last mode PAUSE
bed ?
I put my truck on bed (pause)
yes
why does it matter
idk
you still register activity when you insert the card
or stoneridge tachos will ask if you have rested until now
ive heard people that got stopped by the police and they said that they didnt like people putting hte card when its in bed
scania yes
Tacho is not different per truck brand
meh
Its just different tacho types
our volvos are VDO and scania are stoneridge
yes
takes like 5 minutes to read the card
This tacho is amazing
Yesss
press one button wrong and it accidentally doesnt register anything and leaves everything as a ?
Mine is like that but the screen is white instead of orange
I requested everything to be orange/red
Lol why
As my koleka his CB radio is blue
And his tacho is red
Dont want multiple colors flashing in my face
While driving
didnt even know you could have it in a different color
do you do 2 man driving ?
No
oh
yes same
the vdo ones are blueish
when i drove with vdo ones i would just do okokokokokokok
until it skipped everything
Ok mate no one was doubting you
Idiot not noticing the lanes are forbidden for trucks
Some mods are
Lol
Scania power mode
Ours don’t have that
Get deleted lol
@lucid birch don’t type in caps cuz it deletes the message
280 lol
Max load we had was like 8tons
Ya McDonalds Netherlands
Nice
Our company is so dumb
There’s 3 770s’s that are used to just transport flowers
Not even 10 tonnes max
Here is also a driving video
Of a truck convoy for handicapped people
Every truck had someone with a handicap in the passenger seat
Drove around Nijkerk for 1.5 hours with 140 trucks i think it was
Was amazing
Wow
had a car with more hp then that truck
Xdddd
no problem when its flat
and the biggest incline is a speed bump
Ya it had manual mode
Every scania has manual mode
Then it switches to auto
never heard of a truck with opticruise without a manual option
🤔
Damnn
are you sure its just not in eco mode or something
It also doesn’t have power mode like here
We are supposed to drive on eco
I dont see the point of using manual if you are not climbing a icy or snowy hill
Eh
you can still change gears without it being in manual mode
Sometimes I want to make it hold the gears longer to accelerate on the highways and it kicks up a gear
Super frustrating
The lines on the middle screen are blue
On the left and right side
Near Speedo and rpm
Lol
Xt nice
Is that a rigid ?
Oh 5 axle
Netherlands 🤩
Is that for all trucks or just tippers
Oh that’s why I see tractor units with 3 axles
Here in Portugal 99.9% of trucks are just 4x2
In the Netherlands I mean
Yea
Wooo
Btw tell me something
I see some sings with TOP written in yellow
Something something Bob
What does it mean
Ohh “ben je de bob zeg het hardop”
I guess idk
Its basically if ur going to a party and your the one driving
Be responsible and dont drink
Oh
So ur the “BOB”
Well that doesn’t apply to me because I can’t read
Bob
Sometimes when u get stopped by police and have to do a alcohol test u get a keychain
That says BOB
Lol
How do I post a picture of my rig

Not all
Lol nice
That sucks that I can’t post my lorry
Follow these steps
@delicate stag
Yippie
Thanks for the help
No problem
Only remember when ur driving in belgium
And police sees u have flitsmeister
U get a fine
As its illigal to use in belgium while driving
Why would they look at my phone
i got pulled over before with waze on and flitsmeister couple times they didnt say anything about it
Lock my phone and they can’t say anything
Nice Volvo
looks good 😄
Volvo truck with Schmitz tipper
papers?
Yes
just scan the weight and go
easy
yes you drive empty get loaded drive back tip and drive back empty repeat
Yep
Nice
sometimes you get backloads depending if the quarry your taking stuff from wants other stuff
I only know what’s inside
Like on the bridge the trailer lorry and load is 49 tonne
Truck empty is 19.700kg i can weight 50.000kg
50max maybe ?
No
Yeah
How much can you take
30-33 max
And in the Netherlands u are allowed to go 5% over the 50.000kg
So load capacity it 32,300kg
52.500kg
ben je bob? zeg het hardop!
If you do 34/35tonne inside that trailer you will be seeing the springs break soon
Xd
BOB
remove springs, cant break if you dont have them
I sometimes weight 65-70tons total
here In my country it depends on your axles
4 axle rigid tippers can only take a load 20/22 tonne
Rookie numbers
5 axle tippers can take 30 tonne x_x
@lucid birch I mean the load itself
Not in total
Is the Schmitz trailer bad btw
Dont tell the cops
Weewooweewoo
@manic crest yes
depends
we have a few of the grey ones
they are not great
but there’s big black Schmitz and it’s very good
Big black
My company only has Schmitz but they’re curtains and fridges
oh. Not sure we have SDC curtain
I never worked with anything other than Schmitz so idk if they’re good or not
When you’re light the axle goes up automatically?
Yes
I thought they all did that
nope lol
In mine I can press the brake 3 times and the axle goes up
we have to use a switch outside sometimes or inside the truck
nah
I wish it was like that
Damn wtf
The black one is good
It’s automatic but the grey ones are switch operated
I think I have a photo of the black one
Aus on/off
ours don’t say. We just have a blank switch on the side
Like a lever switch
Flick and it goes up
yes that’s how it’s configured
Automatic or manual
But in the automatic I think you need a sensor or something???
But what if you need to lift the axle in somewhere tight
And your heavy
Will it still lift it
Don’t think so
That’s a bit dodgy
Why would I need to lift the axle in tight spots
It makes it easier to turn
no. The trailer is dragging the wheel otherwise
I never tried it
A curtain trailer is ok
idk if it lifts it when i press the brake 3 times even when heavy
You don’t really need to lift because they are long
It probably will
the wheels won’t drag because the wheelbase is different
but with only 2 axles on the ground it makes it different to turn
doesnt turn as sharp
because the point of contact is different
2 axles on the back?
3 but the front one lifted
maybe because you have more weight
possibly the axles are loaded more
also stone is a bit different to carry
9ton seems about right
Do you have a tag axle on the lorry
Nice
Sorry can’t be arsed to find another picture of the truck so screenshot it is
Chrome wheels
mine are scratched
yeah. Wash truck and it’s squeaky clean. One minute later it’s covered in crap
xddddd i get you
I don’t see the point
for tippers yes, basically useless
xdddd
I send you
by the way does anyone know if its possible to turn on all the spotlights when the high beams are on inn this ?
i can only have the middle or the top ones on, not both
damn i found a notebook sheet from your company at work today
i dont remember
transwhite or logiqueen ?
said both
where are you from
Netherlands
we have a warehouse there
where
damn
nice coincidence lol
we have Spanish warehouse so thats probably why its there
we are not spanish!!!!!!!
Portugal and spain is still next to each other
stop it
jod-
but we do have a warehouse in spain too xd
where 😱
badajoz
ours is in valencia
oh
isnt valencia in the other side of portugal lol
badajoz is what i meant lmao
and yes valencia is eastern spain
i've only driven like 20 meters in reverse on company property 🗿
lol
Im watching la casa de papel right now

Nuh uh, i live in public neighbourhood (grove street)
was nice
Its not until you own snowmobile
i liked it
Nah you didnt
Hello
?
Hello, everyone. I am really excited to be here and looking forward to connect with bright minds I believe are also in this group.
What is your truck
Cool. Would like to see what kinda truck you drive for a living
Alright
I just dropped a message now
Dont see any truck here
I dont need it. You are talking in trucking channel
You are not verified, that's why
invisible miniature truck
Can you not hear the truck running in the background? Geez
no
saw all the piping n all could be a plant or smth
Why do americans drive these trucks with long ah weel base
Because America
No need to be compact, as there's no ferries or similar things i guess
But im sure there is a way more reasonable explanation for that
Thats not even a long wheel base lol
I get that there are no regulations for truck lenght and they dont drive in tight cities maybe
No tight cities out here anyway
Look at mine
Kinda does whe nthe rear axle is lifted
why would it ride like a brick?
And it has leafs in front, no airbags
Short wheel base rides rough
nope not at all, maybe if empty and bumpy road its affected a tad more, but i mean only time i get bounced around is on the terminals as its brick paved roads with only truck traffic going over it so it gets abused lots and not fixed
regular road it drives fine
Yeah if there is rough terrain, 99% of the time no
regular roads its fine until theres a pothole or shit, but u would hit that too in us truck and be rocked around
Well yeah if its a smooth road nothing will ride rough lol
Then what is this
remember this, we got air ridden seats and most new trucks also have cabs on air shocks so yeah
Idk youd have to drive a longer wheel base there is a noticeable difference in ride quality
unless u go and cross the border from netherlands to - belgium
the trucks drive smooth

Yeah its more stable, but i like my turning radious more
These probably dont turn as terrible as you would think, but nowhere near what youve got
probz jumpie cause america and such have less road maintenance than european countrys, some countrys worse than others, but they keep all major roads well maintained
jumpie, the space it takes u to turn your truck alone in we be turning the truck n trailer in xd
They kinda do, but ive only seen videos. Never been in murica
probz even less if its trailer with steering axles cuz u can take it tighter cuz it wont wreck the tires then if loaded
only wanna go to us to go to their parks and just camp and roadtrip
Nothing over here worth traveling to see
I have in my front trailer. The rear axle turns, doesnt cut so much then
but the rear is on a dolly so in that way it turns more than regular without as the dolly already cuts in so it steers the rear more vs the front if it hadnt had steering axles no?
Ill dm you
but yeah i do have some chassis at work that u can flip a switch for the rear axle and it just guides in, but usually if i gotta reverse i disengage it as its one of those does itself it can go sidways when reversing while going straight back for instance but its also just annoying when reversing, luckily chasiss dont have it im using atm
benefit is tough, im running slider container chassis with a manual switch for button , vs the rigids it goes automatic
i can literally be 30tons on the trailer and not have the front axle down so it takes turns easier xd
Yeah but you can lock it with a fog light switch
This trucks wheel base is roughly 234”
Nothing fancy just common things around here
The food is tho
wish i had it for the trailer brake, cuz when sliding it in pin will shoot in and i have to get out to literally release trailer brake/technically push the pin back in fully but if its in partway the trailer wont slide out plus as brakes be off it rolls so it couldnt
Rear fog light usually
The rear steering axle helps, idk how much but atleast 1m in cut lenght if im not wrong
Thats what im doing while finishing turn, then when the tires go straight it locks
steering wise going forward not as much vs reversing as it guides it but that depends on the setup if auto steer or actually controlled by computer, but it mostly helps with some tire wear
untill u needda take a tight corner and just jackknife it to make it and then doing said while loaded just pull the tires sideways basically
It does help. I have proof
i literally loading at a place, and tomorrow go there once again, il have a slider container chassis, on tank frame and thus am not so long, the turns they got on the property will make me drag the tires a tad to go trough the corners
A steerable axles should make a big difference going forward and backwards
i do realise the 40ft rigids we got with the rear axle does make turns easier cuz weight but reversing annoying as it isnt like controlled by computer or such so knows hwere u go , it just follows when unlocked on its own
if its just rear and like ours here, where it just autosteers not remote but gets going tat way cuz u going that way and it just turns, its fine forward but reverse shit, as u can be straight trailer truck n reverse and it just goes left for instance
it does even if its just turning axle, doesnt cut as much
Even if the truck is straight, the rear axle counters to other way, so it doesnt cut that much
But you eat raw steaks and shoot your neighbours daily, no?
yes
Shooting jokes are pretty old really
Then why are they daily news?
No different than being stabbed because you cant have guns lol
If you all had the freedom of firearms youd have shootings also… but ya just get poked up
Can't use ferry mode on 9hr
We have a lot of shooting here in🇫🇮 , but not daily
To many idiots
yeah, mental illness. Some how we are still n.1 happiest country
I love Finland
Nuh bro cappin fr fr
Austria is beautiful to drive in
Doesn't matter but if you put it in at 8hr 45 minutes break at hammers you'll have a problem as you're missing break
It is indeed
Cuz the sauna and alcohol
i only put my card in after 9 hours
Bed
At what point do u mean @manic crest
Like I always put mine on rest and eject and put it in my wallet, so when I start day it stays on rest till I start driving and then it goes on work when driving and come to a traffic light
Start of the day
When inserting your card I mean
If I’ve had my 9hr breaks or my 11hr depending what’s required stick in I don’t hit the button
Log into the computer and then start engine let it warm up it’s still on rest
Then I go do hook up or shit and cuz drive meter or two it goes back in rest and I just hook up
My company told me to insert and remove always in hammers
I always have it on bed
you do realize if you remove card while it is in hammers, it doesnt register rest as it thinks your working when u logged off and be working when u log in when cards put in, even if it goes in rest mode when u take key out and no card
That's not accurate at all
mhm , well this truck might be but the next one u might drive if yours is broken or in the shop might not and youd all sudden clock in in the morning and not be able to drive at all cuz hours hit due to working hrs\ enabled atn ight
mine asks if i wanna add a minute to it of work or shit, but it does not ask if i rested the time that i. was offline, it shows last online and then time its logging back in
Sleep
Which tacho do you have
not exactly sure
but am just trynna point out how not each one is same so it could bite you in the ass at some point when u get another truck and its just different
Does your ask rest until now or do you have to press add additions (idk what it says in english)
it asks if whe i put in if i wanna register one min of working or smth
nothing else
just says last time logged off and how it was logged, aka rest for instance
VDO
I assume
So you have to press either no, or yes and then click ok 5 times to go through the time date etc
nope just click no add and it then just be logged in
Ah
if. i go click trough the date n shit is to do when u like drove already few hours somewhere else or shit idk
Yes
You can press no
But that's not legal as your break will get registered as unknown instead of bed
€300 ticket if they decide to be mean about it
By law you need to register the break too, which means you need to press Yes, then bed until the current time
no as it ask if i wanna add one minute to it wich i dnt do
Weird
if i dont forget ill record it tomorrow
but its literally put card in hit no and its on n functioning
when loging out confirm country and hit no to day print be done
Sounds very much like my vdo
Are you sure I asks you to put 1 minute of work?
I'll take a video hang on
uh yeah i think so or its a add 1min of rest to it
as usually ignitino goes on, then u can put card in even if not run yet
and it takes a tad to register so i think it has to do with that , takes in consideration it takes to boot up read the card n all
It's anyway laws just made to give us problems as it's pointless
Just give me a sec and I'll show you
lots of shit is pointless
like if u aint resting 9hrs but 8hr 59 its not the same and your not fully rested like bish
, usually if u have 9hr rest and dont sleep in truck, it means going home n to work again atleast 30mins of travel , shower eat n all and it be 6hr or less rest xd
I recorded the video in max quality so it's over 500mb gotta downscale
@lean oracle
mhm so thats exactly same as mine but i always hit no
the print out i do have it shows i log of as break then goes ? and when start its same but it says its been break /rest whole time
but in morning it does say in system it is on break when it starts
prob why i got so many pages of the hiatus whatever but never fine but guess ill hit yes maybe idk they never told me
heck i think a coworker who showed me hwo it worked on my first day he also hit the no\
Yep I know many people are told to hit no but it's wrong sadly
but i dont think they care really
But it's new law I think from early 2024 that you have to do it that way
we got vans drive round here who can without stopping and being a km behind me read out my tacho
all tacho training i got for code 95 to get license was what icon is what and with rest times n shti
Yep as I said it's just an unnecessary rule that makes us criminal
is weird as tacho has registered it as rest either way
If I sleep 9hrs and press no I am criminal but if I press yes I'm not
Tacho registers it as break as it's not registered as work
cuz what stops us from taking it out and continue working outside truck, legos whos in here his onboard stays logged in when his card is taken out for instance, mine i take it out it force logs off the onboard, hell literally take it out and work 5hrs in warehouse and the inspection for truck driving hrs an shit be non the wiseer
so it registers it as break vs "sleep" technically now if u dont hit yes?
Yep
You could say it that way
you mean the servers van driver capri?
Whenever I hit no on the tacho I get deviation at the work portal
i got whole list of onboard n whatnot offenses or whatever or tacho shit maybe but it doesnt show me for what it is nor i got explained it but i also dnt wanna ask so i can continue play udmb lol
also work never said anyhting bout it just put in my drawer, coworkers would have one page with 3lines or shit
and i have like 5 filled fully xd
ILT
If you look at the red
Vlog nice
then again if we dont have a start trip or end trip on the onboard its also a offense that can be fined yet work makes u start it in afternoon go office go sleep and then continue next day so then that start isnt there
owh yeah i got similar to that we get em printed
usually i have that x 5 on one a4sheeth and then like 5 of em
2 minutes because I didn't bother to add the manual input swapping cards with a co driver
but no one ever told me about it or whatever so im playin dumb and not care about it
Yeah that's the thing. If you sleep 9hrs and press no on the tachograph you are a criminal but if you take the card out, work 5 hours, sleep 4 then press yes and register everything as rest you are not doing anything wrong in their system unless they catch you in the act
So the first one will get a ticket but not the second scenario
exacrtly
Vdo sucks
and benefit is theyre like government workers so they ya know, dont work on the weekends or at night cuz too much pay so wanna do illegal do it at night
Same with stoneridge, it'll ask you if you rested until now and everyone presses yes, even if they workes 5hrs in a warehouse
Yours doesn’t ask if you were on rest since last withdrawal
Yes
My company doesn’t let me register warehouse hours
i mean i gotta keep card in for the onbaord if i where to do warehouse work but dont got that shit, but u know the companys where that is the case who do do that, they have it u can take card out and onboard continues
so they get paid for worked hrs but not registered on card and the inspection for trucker for fdriving hrs and shit cant see that
Only time I ever actually register something other than break is if I am at home having my weekly rest, I'll register 45 hr break, 15 minute work then 3hr rest and start driving, that way I can do the 3+9 break, I can stay at home 2hr more but not use a 9hr rest
Yeah because sundays I usually just drive 9hrs then sleep, and unload monday morning
You do solo trips right
or just stay n make 47 and then work?
as u gotta do 9hr rest either way if its split, plus u dont needda go out for 15mins of shit?
But then he has one less 9hour rest day
But then I will be 2hr later and I'll have to do 9hrs without the 3hrs before, and I'll have only 2 9hrs left for that week
ah yeah
If I leave at 45hr I'll be in time for a 11hr rest but 2hrs less at home
But you do more than 45 hours at home right
I don't have a set route I just go wherever
Left home at the 19th
my weekend rest length usually depends what time i end friday could be at 5 could be at 7
but usually im always starting between 5/5.30 and 5.30 is being late ish but have no time slots n shit
Sometimes I can end friday at 11am or sometimes 11pm
I started work 2 hours ago
tomorrow i got one load at 11 and imma just start at 5 and ill see wether i be there earlier or not but it doesnt matter as that site ill arrive at time slot and theyll make u wait 3hrs before they even let u go into the loadbay
I end on Saturday morning
I am full time at a company and I have my own on the side
How does it work with the rests and stuff
Very well
I only use my company in the summer really
I take summer break from my job and go do the F1
so how u do that with driving hrs cotton, or is all that farm shit exempt from tacho shit
Yea that’s what I was asking
🙈
Btw cotton do you insert your card in with the tacho in bed or hammers
We'll see if I'll go this summer, i got 3 weeks off to go to 🇺🇸 in a month
Bed always
Lol
Idk I’ve seen people do it in hammers and others in bed
I don’t even think there’s a consensus
just going holiday to the us ?
I usually put my card in whenever to check because I can't remember when I can start when I just wake up 😂
better do it in bed , if there is a mixup and theyre like u been working without card in prove u havent vs when its at rest and logged off they needda prove you were working
If the tacho is in bed it doesn’t interrupt your rest right
Yes
where ya goin
Yes, you can basically take it in and out as many times as you'll like that way
Oh okay
New york, Connecticut, Canada
flying around from area to area?
Can you do the 9/11 hour rests with the card in
I mean just putting it in bed for 9 hours
Yes, but you need to select end country and start country
On my scania when I’m close to the limit on the 15h mark it starts counting the 9hours rest automatically
It's not recommended as the tacho will not update with the card in. Don't ask me what it updates the teacher just told me that at the 95 course
I once did the 9 hours without doing the countries lol
Been like 2 months tho so it’s off the record now I think
Oh okay I thought it was a big deal
€300 fine also 😂
best to just eject it and leave it ejected but "in" vs just putting the card to rest and leave in yeah
as it also doesnt log off then really
Did yall see now the infractions in the card stay there for 56 days instead of 28
so it probz registers as a continues workday vs end day and start of new day
no, its a you have to save it longer
like printouts and shit
Once I came to a closed road due to a blizzard at 12am and I didn't end the country at 12am as I started like 9, but it ended up being closed for 22hrs and of course I got a deviation for not doing the end country 😂
I don’t do printouts
Ye, no biggie tbh
so they can fine more retroactively as its all about money
neither do i , but when you do u have to keep em 2x as long now
Printouts are only needed for when you go overtime or whatever right
Do you do international
Yes it is lol
Yes
It isn't
Do you ever do cabotage
Twice as much time that you have to be careful to don’t get stopped by the cops
dont tell my planner that, they scan it if its over a 1hr loading time or shit
Not sure
and then she throws them out
Still, no biggie
Is it if you’re dumb like me and get over speed infractions
Got 2 last week
heck if im hauling empty container like nothing in it i dont even write one as im not going over border and it is accepted here to not write one even tough the empty container is the cargo
My colleague got fined €12000 for not having 28 days (at the time) of cmrs and this document stating he's doing cabotage
Well, that's a you problem
He got a wheel clamp and had to pay by credit card 😂
What the hell
that probz has to do iwth the fact u can only do so many in country before needing to frick off for x days and thus they knew he was there but didnt have and couldnt prove they fined him for breaking it
Ok yes I don’t do cabotage @rugged cape
a good trucker carries a angle grinder that does international and breaks rules
Yep exactly. He only did one trip from north to south of sweden and got stopped with that. €12000 but the company paid
heard stories of polish n shit get clamped whatever and at evening the people who did it went away they just cut it off and drove off
so the fine was mostly for not having the documents
if it was a handwritten one like i do should of just written one put dates on it from said time and put a random signature on it xd
The best part is that it one of those koleka loads that pays bad, we weren't even making a profit but they figured it's better to at least have some income than drive empty and it ended like that
guess they now dont do them or just actually keep their paperwork saved/scanned so its digital?
There's literally only RO and BG curtainsliders loading that stuff but he needed to go south to load so we took it to minimize the losses of driving empty
What exactly is koleka loads ? Xd
Hallo boss
We scan everything already, apparently wasn't enough to show the digital papers. Office told us to drop the papers off at least every 14 days until my colleague got this ticket 😂 then they changed it. So i guess you need an actual physical copy of the 28/56 days unless they fought it in court
Bad paying loads
thats kinda stupid , as literally u can also have digital cmrs nowadays and thats valid?
maybe only for national driving tough due to access to records by neighboring countrys is easier with paper or shit
I didn’t know there were digital cmrs now
yeah but i mean theres probz restriciton to it but it all depends im not too sure but yeah
as plenty have it on their onbaord all their shit in one place
What is onboard ?
the company computer u log into that logs ur hours, your task are in like go to x terminal pick up that then go to y and drop it there for instance
yeah in morning we got em on paper wth the codes for times slot on terminals and after we get on phone the codes and where to go and then its in onboard as it registers the time u be at port and whatnot
helps to track n charge customers
Is it like a tablet you have in your truck ?
sorta
Btw I’ve heard that now if you go over 95kmh it counts as an infraction even if it’s less than a minute
Don’t know if it’s true or not
idk
with tunnels here and if i got a 20ft container loaded with a bigbag with liquids even if my cruise is at 82 and overspeed is set at 5more so cant go over 87 it will be going down full on engine brake and braking on its own as thats how its set and hit over 92 constantly if i have it higher id be going 97 downhill for a minute
i dont let it go over a 100 but ill let it hit like 99 downhill if empty as then if i hit brakes it instantly goes n stay below
if id d that loaded by time it has effect im already going 115 or back uphill
What truck do you drive
volvo
anyways its like a hr n some later than usual so imma sleep
cuz i dont have to be up a hr ish befre i start
i literally step out door tomorrow and be clocked in already
I go 85kmh max downhill. 80kmh on cruise control
Yeah it depends if tunnels empty I’ll go at 85 and it will run up to 95 max, if traffic I might be doing 80 already cruise leave at that if busy I might be doing 75 or lower already before entering tunnel but if loaded it means crawling out at 50
Why not 90
Isn't 80 km/h the speed limit for trucks in most of EU?
It's 80 in Finland tho
Suomi Finland
Why would I drive 90kmh?
To get places faster
Barely any time gained from that. Don't see any reason to drive 90kmh
Why would you not lol
Prolly cause it's illegal lmao
I don't gain anything from doing so why would I?
My point still stands
Maybe where you’re from
The speed limit for trucks is 90 in my country
Nat is from Finland on the other hand
Also there is no point in risking getting into an accident or getting fined by speeding
My company would kill me if I drove at 80 lol
unless you are in a hurry and driving on a motorway
I do mostly motorways yes
I used to drive 90kmh on cruise. Then I changed to 80kmh. Even at 80kmh, I ended the shift at the same time as if I were to drive 90kmh. So I gained nothing from driving 90kmh
Well, it still makes no sense to speed if you arrive on time even while driving 80
Driving at 90 means I cover more distance and get home earlier
I've covered my coworker couple of times. He's driving at 90kmh all the time. I started the shift the same time as he does and ended it at the same time even tho I drove at 80kmh. So once again, driving at 90kmh gained absolutely nothing
Do you only drive in your country ?
Yes
Yea that’s why
I do about 5000kms a week so the difference in driving 80 or 90 is noticeable
Over the course of 5 days of driving it adds up
Eepy time again
This. I need to drive 90 if i dont want to keep 45min brake middle of the trip. So it does help
I save 30min doing so
Is that first trailer rigid or tractor unit and trailer ?
Np🤝
Where 15m front trailer????

Damn
We dont need that long front trailer
