you never do skilled parking when delivering cargo?

when you place your truck in the skilled parking position and the positioning outline becomes green, you do it to detach the trailer. It does all fancy for you, lower legs, disconnect hoses, fifth wheel...

Very useful when you got a huge trailer and a tiny gas station or rest place. If you don't know what it does, you probably bound trailer attach/detach to another key or controller button.

So, when in neutral, if you depress the gas pedal just half way, does the engine go close to maximum rpm? So much, that depressing the pedal more won't rev up any/much further.

To me, it should go like, if I got 2200 RPM highs, 650 idle, if I depress like 50% (half way) it should go about 1400rpm. But in the game if I hit just about half, the thing goes up to max rpm.

2023 Kenworth K220, the 2.8m big cab, with full air cab and axles, 18 speed, bullbar and stoneguard, square tanks.
Strong enough to pull anything real, and reliable enough not to break down when the going gets tough. Also comes with a big enough sleeper to live in full time if need be.

for me its a 2023 volvo vnl 860. 86 inch sleeper. has a foldout table in the bunk. apparently its a really smooth ride when driving, aerodynamic, and has a second bunk so I can leave the table out permanently if I want to set up a desk on it

Hello all, new to TruckersMP and used to drive this truck (Kenworth T600) many years ago until I got into different work. Actually this one is a 2007 but looks a lot like the 1997 I really drove. IIRC mine had 425 HP and it definately had the 10 speed transmission, with plenty of power to pull full refrigerated 48' trailers with plenty of speed too.

I have noticed that the European trucks seem to fancy these really low air dams, which look nice, but in the US we have potholes that can swallow small cars, so it's really rare to see over here. I am really not happy that SCS has actually experimented with adding potholes to the simulations for the beta 1.47? I play the game to avoid that stuff; if I have to hit them, I will get a job driving again so at least I get paid.

Trucks here tend to have bullbars rather than low bumpers - cos bumpers that low would rip right off on any corrugated road; and bullbars protect the truck from cows, water buffalo, and kangaroos… though a camel will still do damage usually

Kangaroos? Wow I've almost hit a moose, I've hit several deer, and had bears in the road before, but that must be something to see. Don't you guys have those long straight roads with fences on both sides to keep out animals so those big road trains have less to worry about?

I've watched those semi races on European tv and those trucks have all the air dams and spoilers and wings, but they are going fast around a track. I would hate to spend money making my truck look so nice and then drive into Pennsylvania and have a foot deep pothole rip off a corner. A friend of mine had a really nice low chrome bumper on his big truck and had the whole thing bend after hitting one of them.

Nah none of the outback highways are fenced - and a good number of them are dirt, and corrugated

They do tend to be relatively straight, but of course there are exceptions

I would equate hitting a moose to a camel, and a kangaroo a bit like a deer

Okay I know these aren’t my trucks, nor picture but this is an example; no fences in sight, roads aren’t all straight, and some dirt and some bitumen- mods can delete if they feel appropriate
