My art isn’t as detailed as some of y’all, but I try to keep 2 vector layers for lineart (1 main and 1 for colored lines below) 1 base color, 1 light yellow overlay, 1 dark blue multiply. So like six I guess. If I have a base and different outfits it’s six more per outfit folder

I feel bad posting these here, as I know these don't require nearly as much talent as some of the incredible artwork, but I'm working on a Sandora Soldier now in Hero Forge. Not a lot of good options so I've been kitbashing everything (very difficult). There's not even a good feather for the helmet. I had to use a carapace thing.

Hard to say, it's a unique design. I'd lean toward moderate padding rather than chainmail. At most, a chain shirt under the main layer.

It would. My general golden standard for create a character games comes from soulcalibur. Honestly theyve really mastered the process, and if more items were compatible with each other or could be slightly altered, youd be able to make anything.

So I suggest getting familiar there and finding ways to improve if you REALLY wanna go all in

Looks great! SC character customization is soo good. I’m thinking the easiest way for me would be to texture the base model with a basic stand animation and every weapon model etc in the file. People could open it in blender, hide and unhide stuff, and edit the texture via photoshop or something. That way users aren’t limited by my programming skills 😂

As for the OC specifically, she's an extremely dedicated academic that decided to follow the Goons around so she can safely document creatures and nature! Lmao no need to apologize; the wiki had wildly inaccurate and incomplete information when I started working on it and there's still sections I've not gotten a chance to overhaul. It depends on which wiki you're using (ours is on legendofdragoon(dot)org, not the fandom wiki) but I checked ours and sure enough it says her eyes are brown 🙃

Some things are far more extensively documented now than the fandom, like locations having submap information and enemy spawn chances, or enemies having exact behavior mapped out. Although grain of salt that I haven't gotten to party members or equipment yet. I've done a big update on all enemies and almost all locations, but there's still some hiccups in formatting that I'll be fixing later. I also know that the items section is missing some info so it's not a comprehensive list just yet.

Generally no. I used to keep it in the cylinder strap connected to the tablet. I don't remember why I removed it. It was on my desk for awhile, right near my monitor.. then nothing. It's possible I swept it into a grocery bag while clearing my desk in a hurry, which then made it to a storage box. I need to go through my boxes in the garage. Hopefully it's in one of them. The alternative is to sell my regular laptop and buy a used 2-in-1.

I appreciate yall's experience with them, but it isn't a suitable recommendation in my case. A key part of my goal involves converting the machine to Linux. The iPad is known for being very Linux-incompatible due to Apple's closed hardware ecosystem, so it's a non-starter for that and other reasons.

Probablyyyy avoid Wacom? All I've ever heard from people is that they've had issues upon issues, having to send it back for repairs and spending months waiting for the company to send it back to them

Yeah, I've heard mixed things about Wacom forever. I went for a Huion but it would not work with my Win10 machine at the time. I returned it, got a Gaomon, and it seemed to be the same product under the hood. It was about $50 for a large canvas area (no screen). No regrets.

For context, I want a laptop that isn't quite so bottom-of-the-barrel, but I also want better drawing ability and a sizable screen for video. Thus, to make this purchase worthwhile, it has to be a full laptop with a touchscreen that folds back for videos & drawing. Else I might as well stick to my current setup.

In case anyone else wants to know, generally you start with a Windows laptop. Linux usually runs fine. Hardware compatibility varies so just do research for the model you're targeting. I started by searching online in laptop communities like Suggest A Laptop.

One of them had a spreadsheet full of laptop models, their prices, and various specs column-by-column. I could easily see each one's screen res, RAM, whether it was a 2-in-1 or not, consumer or business model, etc. Very helpful. I used that as a base and added my own research to it, fetching latest prices and missing models.

The reality is, most 2-in-1s are super pricey. The cheapest Yoga laptop is a thousand dollars. "Cheap" ones under $500 are mostly Chromebooks, which will be too underpowered or sometimes use ARM chips. In short, the industry is a hot mess and it's not getting easier. So all I can do is compare models and hope a decent one is available in used/refurb condition.

There are some companies that build with Linux hardware in mind, but that doesn't make choosing easy.

Starlabs' entry 2-in-1 model is a thousand dollars.
Framework's 12" 2-in-1 is $550.. until you add RAM/SSD/charger/stylus/port options. Even before price hikes, ~$900 was a big ask for just a 12-inch screen. On top of that, Framework is (quietly) pro-AI slop.
