i think you are mixing up the keys, one of them allows full party members
the other just adds all dragoons
L1 + X give all dragoon spirit + all party members set lvl 1 with Dart starting equipment, right ?

First issue. Game options. DM Enrage I set off but no effect in the next fight. after the fight is DM Enrage on by default. Same for elemental bomb.

I using all attack items. 1-2 round more I would be game over, it was very close. Now aiginst Elite.. Lavitz get more dmg from fireball than I can heal, no chance.
lv7, so I´ve to grind now to 8 or even 9.. Elite wasn´t even yellow HP.
Well if you manage to finish every boss fight with only 1 character alive you don't have to grind that much (at least in the old hell mod)

yes a lot of attacks in hell mode hit more than 50% of your HP. i think the main problem with the fight is that there is no knight shield equivalent for magic at this time.
i wonder if the shops have an item count...?
Fireball is magic attack and I get the 2. knight shield in Bale armor shop. It´s not about the physical defense.

Lvl 7 the elite can be done but Kongol lvl 8 is a nightmare

Ok, imo sage shield is not the way to go for Lavitz, you need a good rng with Elite so he dosn't spam too much the red spell tho, Kongol without having knight shield on Lavitz is really hard to sustain
I managed to beat him lvl 9 but I think he's doable lvl 8, I just don't want to try for too long

I think in the orginal orginal hard mode i made it so you can use Lavitz or Shana there so I am going to add that.

BTW I tried something and it seems that if I enter special, the 2 dragoon who started their turn already transformed gained 150 dxp at the end of the fight, wasn't it intended to only works dlvl 2? That's maybe why I have that many SP on Dart since he's never the one who start the special
Well if you don't special it only starts working at level 2. You only need to start your turn in Dragoon form.
It does make sense but I didn't think about it before having Haschel gaining so many SP while his first additions are pretty bad on that side

if it doesn't unlock after one battle just go into gamestate editor and set the addition level to 1.
i forget if the unlock is when the addition levels up to max or if it just checks > 80 on all additions
I didn´t figure out how triangle+circle works. Just on every field and then every party member should have the same exp like the highest charakter or what is the purpose?

You have to use the hotkey outside of battle and you will see the party's level go up. If you have Shana at 2000 exp and Dart at 500 exp. Dart will level up as if he had 2000 exp.

thunder charge you have to do a thunder element attack so you have to use haschel, or thunder items, (or shana with elemental arrow when ultimate boss is out)

Shana, gets her Elemental Arrow for Ultimate might do something earlier.
Rose, probably going to give her Max HP over time that decays like her level from the Dragon Campaign.
Haschel, as Dart's grandfather (probably), gets a thunder version of Burn Stacks. Giga OP.
Meru will probably have higher max MP and have damage reduction via using MP. (that you probably can't turn off since giving meru higher MP is just going to make her more busted at dragoon level 5)
Kongol, I want him to have a party wide shield, since it'll be hard to make him tank (rb4 eventuall™️)

All the hell mode prices have been adjusted and the shops are back to normal hell mode.
Thief's Shoes is now in the Bale shop for +50% escape rate just like in Japan Demo (but it was Bandit's Shoes that did that but that was repurposed)
Is Hellmode exp curve designed to pass bossfight with all charakter, with 1 charakter or something from both? just curios.
with the circle+triangle hotkey of course it´s easier that 1 char get the boss exp and the hotkey works till 160k exp it´s round about lv ~45?
cuz at lv 16 against Doel without Dragon Helm in red HP he 1 hit me with full HP. I felt lost but with the 50% more exp from dragon helm it makes more sense.
at what point I can take the savepoint cuz before the eq and items in the shop was wrong. I save always before every next bossfight.
I honestly don't remember if I entirely did 1 character surviving every other boss or all bosses. I have my original memory card with hell mode, although it doesn't tell the complete story I was level 16 at Doel and beat it.
The switch exp thing was added so you can swap your party around. The level sync is brand new and is just an easier version of switch exp.
he'll basically one shot anyone with spark net in red which is what gave me the idea for haschel.
I´ll try it same level 16 with the purposed hellmode eq.

Haschel additions rather weak and long grind to dlv2
Anyway by the point where you wont be able to use the hotkey, you'll have access to the fake faust to farm xp
General it´s a decision new character in team means long Dlv grind. When get Kongol the start team is easily dlv 3 but Kongol/Meru need the same 8k to dlv2. For balance I think as later a character come in team as less Dexp should be needed to keep up with the others. at least until the bossfight are so scripted that a flexibel team with no crash.
for Dlv grind the spirit charm 30sp/turn is nice.
Honestly i'm fine not getting Dlvl 5 by the end of the game, it's too risky to stay that long in dragoon if we can't use items 😅
But yeah, I think it would be funnier and more interesting to balance the game so that we're not forced to farm hours between bosses if we don't finish bosses with only one character alive (often Dart since the others join later or miss fights) or if it is possible force the experience to not be shared and go on the first character of the team (Dart if we can't move him out of the team)
But I know that in late game anyway the bosses are way harder. The old dragoons and the ultimate bosses are no joke so even if right now I don't have much difficulty I know it wont be for the whole game
in the original hell mode you were bouncing between dragoon levels 1-4 the entire playthrough. so i am not sure how that affected the stat increase formula i was using.

The script loaded an inline param from another script, but the other script it was referencing wasn't loaded into the slot it expected

We should put a null check in the creation of the param so that it fails as soon as it's referenced instead of when it's used

Not at all, If I wasn't trying to let Meru and Haschel die before I killed her, Dart could have 3 hit her
That's the complaint I get the most but half the time it is "well you went dragoon right away".

The problem IMO is that if you're not using the 1 character alive it's really tedious to farm xp if a boss is too hard since the monsters give almost nothing

You should merge main so everyone gets rumble
additions are maxing faster so i wonder if 2x exp for normal mobs will solve that.

a optional normal mobs multiplier 2-3x would be okay I guess. cuz before I just went to the broken hardmode + hell bosses. the mobs are 1 hit so I grind with just 1 char solo it´s like 3x exp.
then it is less interesting to approach the boss fight on purpose so that only 1 character survives

some normal sure wins I lost cuz I try that just last Dragoon standing. normal mobs less exp in retail or hardmode is okay but in hell it takes extra time every fight especially when there is no free healing point.

dramod even on emulators always allowed you to to go into solo mode and get the 3x exp. it gives you a reason to back track. i can be evil and nerf the formula. so you can't use exp exploit.

Looking at how far Luplow got and my previous Hell Mode run it seems that at the end of disc 2 ended up in similar sp situations despite the major level difference here.

Kamuy was hard, he could one shot Haschel with his aoe magic attack 2400 hp when he had 20xx, he could also one shot Meru with his physic attack, I think he would be way too hard without the exp exploit since he can also stun the whole party. At least before going to Deningrad

Not sure if this is helpful, but this can also happen in plain SC if a party member's HP is set to 0 using the debugger, as even with 0 HP the character doesn't flop down until attacked, and for some reason remains attackable afterwards for awhile
There's a flag on the player script that marks it as dead
0 HP is not a death state
also had a similar issue a long time ago where Lavitz died to poison, all characters were dead but on the same turn, Greham or the Dragon got to attack Lavitz again...and then it game overed

I was wondering, what do you expect from the old dragoon fights ? They seemed pretty intense but really quick, except Kanzas every fight was finished before the special ended which differ a lot from the others bosses fought until them but maybe that's because at this point we have access to Dlvl5, power up/down and speed up/down 🤔

I didn´t understand all the new single multi dragoon magic that need no mp. I only see the low dmg and just prefer the orignal dragoon magic attacks.

Jewel was freeloot. Albert lv 27 with attack horn Dragoon special attack did almost 50% damage of Boss max HP. Meru magic, Kongol attack, Boss down in 3 turns. To be fair, Albert is OP/Joker and I´m like 2-3 over the normal level at this point.
If someone give this feedback as well, Jewel could have more HP/Deff. But Jewel hit like a truck when it turn low mdeff chars red HP or 1 hit.
Till yet to Jewel I´m really pleased to play Hell mode. Here and there some flaws, but very joy able. I recommend that you just try it and be a part of the balance.

I play with every character on average so that they are roughly on the same level for more variety and a longer journey. 3 characters are still dlv3, the others dlv4.
I guess with the same 3 character they would be dlv 4-5 to Divine dragon.

you shouldn't be able to get the divine dragoon at all in hell mode without getting to ultiamte boss 34.
what's your difficulty settings in gameplay?
I still have to fix divine dragoons attack in base SC so I haven't touched it.
normal hell mode, but it isn´t a clear folder. I have the other mods in the options as well. Just use the X+L1 hotkey on the divine dragon map. I still prefer the fire dragoon atm for dart anyway. the red eyed dragon need take a walk some more 🙂

Protection Shield - Absorb damage up to 50% of the character's Max HP per battle.
Spirit Bottle - Gives 80 SP on the first turn of battle, this does count towards DEXP.
Speed Bottle - Gives an extra turn on the first turn of battle.
Healing Bottle - Gives 70% HP when HP becomes critical once per battle.
Sun Bottle - Gives 20 MP when available once per battle.
I still don't understand how I was level 17 for Virage but ok.

are charm potions broken? I used a couple and a blank text box opened and the encounter indicator did not reset
is hell mode balanced for unlocked party or for vanilla forced party combinations? Having trouble seeing how sandora elite at hoax is beaten with just dart and lavitz without some serious grinding. Lavitz just gets 1shotted by the flame spell

You should be able beat the elite at level 7.

Lloyd Dart lv31, Lava Blade, Dragoon Special, Power Up boost, -> Dragoon Attack 4950 but final burst just 25XX - is that realistic?
Lloyd is a wingly so he must have a higher mdef I guess

I tried Hell Mode with unlocked party against Sandora Commander (Second fight in the game). Dart took 120 Damage from a Burnout.
How have people managed to beat that with Vanilla parties? You guys are next level.
Level matters a lot in the early, Dart solo lvl 3 is way stronger than 3 lvl 1
I'm not sure if you're 2 or 3 when you fight the commander but Dart dragoon addition one shot him at this lvl so it's pretty free if you're playing the game the mod the way it's supposed to be played

ive been inactive in this channel for a while. Is Hard Mode gonna be included in SC3 and how do I play Hell Mode?
Not included, but it will be part of Dragoon Modifier which is a Mod you can download.
Hard Mode and Hell Mode will be included in Dragoon Modifier Mod, however Zychronix (The maker of DraMod) only has currently activated Hell Mode for testing purposes.
There is no 100% confirmed date on SC3 or DraMod for SC3's release dates. But they are both nearing completion.

If I'm not mistaken, hard mod is already available on the current SC version.
