Charles Leclerc’s agency has registered a “CL1” version of his new logo in preparation for the 2027 F1 season.

︀︀Thoughts? 🤔

L
Polestar F1 team?
Oh lmao that wasnt even what they wanted me to see
Revolut is joining the Audi F1 team
"global fintech leader" thrilling headline Audi, but will this inspire a good livery?
I suppos we'll see
ngl, none of the current title sponsor liveries are bad
So I do look forward to it
I will say, isn't it interesting how every F1 team nowadsys has a title sponsor?
Go back just 6 years ago and it was actually something only seen with the less financially able teams like Williams, Haas and Racing point
None of them bring much to the table... Petronas and Aramco bring a teal and a green stripe, and Stake brings the colour green. I like the BWT pink bits but the rest do nothing to those liveries
In all honesty, my favourite BWT livery was probably 2017/2018 Force India
you must point the gun at a soya bean, no animal was harmed
I suppose you're right, but it's hard to say they look bad
I liked it too
Sounds good
Indeed, I would like to write it
I wonder if Stake will continue to sponsor the team however, as just a standard sponsor
Woah did Lando have a dominant car before this year?
no
Gotta say, it's definitely quite interesting how Lando and Oscar are competing
That's a big oof
I didn't fall for it this time
americans paying 17 fucking dollars for a monster can
when its gonna come in my local supermarket for as low as 1 fucking euro
at the end of the day it wasnt a mercedes deal
it was a romantic dinner between the two of them instead
Love Wins
if you are as persistent in going for the person you love as toto, you deserve a happy ending ❤️
what does kelly piquet think of this
who tops?
Ask the gays not me man I don’t have the expertise
ok
@granite tangle you're greek, who tops in a relationship between Max Verstappen and Toto Wolff

Toto
i mean if it was on me max is probably the bottom in every gay driver ship hes ever been
and toto is older so its age gap yaoi
so like ofc its toto that tops
to be fair, inflated rarity
Jesus christ they hardly leave room for imagination
I wonder where this place would be at
And I wonder how overpriced everythibg is
Really. Athletic apparel no matter the sport gets extremely expensive
Talking like 80 or 100 euros for a jersey or a polo
Jackets? If you’re lucky 150 if you’re unlucky could be upwards of 250
Jesus christ man, that is scarily expensive
It makes it hard to wanna get these merch ngl
While yes it's a one time purchase and you'll just use it every now and again, the fact that they hae monoplozed making money this way is rather worrying
The only thing I can say that’s positive for athletic apparel is that those clothes last a fuck ton of time compared to normal tshirts and stuff
If you’re really a fan of someone you can wear it every day or hang it up in the wall and it’ll be there
While it is about money, the issue is that pricing is affected by demand, and compared to normal clothes athletic apparel is just more expensive to make and has significantly less of an audience (you only sell to the fans of the team, and if it’s numbered? Only to the fans of the player/driver etc)
They have to be profitable enough to be worth making… so they end up being so expensive it feels like a scam
That’s why a Messi or Ronaldo jersey, or LeBron jersey, or a Lewis Hamilton polo costs very similar amount to even a super small obscure team or even a fucking esports team that could have 0 fans for all you know
Definitely would buy at least one personally. I like their design and also supporting a sporrt team
it's just how in-tune apparel and F1 have become
Yeah this is very true. I am glad for that at least
I wouldn't mind buying one
We already spend money on useless stuff and at the end of the day, if nothing else, these are just clothes like any other
We can wear them and we should weae them
I'd probably buy one tshirt of nearly every team bar Mclaren, Mercedes-AMG and Red Bull
I am a fan of nice clothes. Jerseys also can be worn super easily on a day to day basis and are comfortable bc of breathability of the fabric
I own a few jerseys, and I am looking into getting f1 merch as well
Just have to see if max is gonna stay in redbull so I don’t buy something that’s soon gonna be outdated XD
Probably gonna have to wait until at least next year since he’ll be going back to MV33
Absolutely
So it ain't even supporting the team, just the driver lol
this specific team has only 1 driver
To be honest I'm surprised I didn't consider this possibility
True, true
The entire team is built around this one man
While Max ain't leaving Red Bull until at least 2026
If he does eventually leave the team, the team would literally have nothing to rely on anymore
I want Carlos Sainz Jr at Red Bull sooooo bad
I don't think he'll come back to them
But who knows
With his seat at Mclaren and Ferrari gone
And Red Bull still possibly having a better car for 2027 than Williams
It may be possible
All depends on having the right equipment
Lmao wouldn't it be funny if he replaced Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes
Would be funny indeed lol
Lewis takes his seat
He takes Lewis' seat
However, it's unlikely
Max may move to Mercedes in 2027, so that'd take away the possible slot at Mercedes
I assume Alonso will retire by 2027
Maybe Lewis too by 2027
Not sure if Lance will keep racing either
I cant keep seeing him in a red suit
this year was terrible for him
Potential grid for 2027:
- Ferrari: Charles Leclerc, Oliver Bearman
- Mclaren: Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris
- Mercedes: Max Verstappen, Kimi Antonelli
- Red Bull: Carlos Sainz, Issak Hadjar
- VCARB: Liam Lawson, Yuki Tsunoda
- Williams: Alex Albon, Franco Colpainto
- Haas: Esteban Ocon
- Audi: Gabriel Bortoletto, Nico Hulkenberg
- Aston Martin: Felipe Drugovich, George Russel
- Alpine: Paul Aron, Pierre Gasly
- Cadillac: Sergio Perez, Mick Schumacher
Probably waiting for 2026
Bug yeah this is my prediction for 2027
I don't know where else to place some drivers
Antonelli may move to Alpine or Williams depending on who Mercedes is more okay with sending their rookie
No idea who could be the 2nd Haas driver
I predicted this for 2027 than 2026 because I don't see the 2026 differing much from 2025
Maybe Hadjar being moved up to replace Tsunoda
Poor red bull juggling their drivers. It really needs to stop
the only outlandish part of this grid is the assumption that lewis will retire so soon
i think hes not leaving until at least 28
He's nearly the same age as Alonso, and given after his Ferrari period he's likely feeling done anyway
I don't know, Lewis may stick around, but I feel like he won't
2027 F1:
- Red Bull: Carlos Sainz Jr, Isaak Hadjar
- Mercedes-AMG: Max Verstappen, Pierre Gasly
- Ferrari: Charles Leclerc, Oliver Bearman
- Mclaren: Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri
- Williams: Alex Albon, Franco Colapinto
- Audi: Nico Hulkenberg, Gabriel Bortoletto
- VCARB: Yuki Tsunoda, Liam Lawson
- Alpine: Paul Aron, Kimi Antonelli
- Haas: Esteban Ocon, Valtteri Bottas
- Aston Martin: Felipe Drugovich, George Russel
- Cadillac: Sergio Perez, Mick Schumacher
This is my revised 2027 prediction
i think its a good prediction
tho i dont think franco is getting another year in f1
Honestly I am unsure about that as well
id say that either piastri or norris will leave mclaren
alex dunne is doing great in f2 so he could be promoted
For one, I don't know if Alpine would keep him for 2026, cause I think they'll swap him for Paul
to be a mclaren second seat
But for 2027, they have some free seats and no rookies are gonna come
So it's hard to say whether if Franco would get another seat
also whats that redbull junior driver, he might get a shot at making the grid as well
Hmm... that's a very good point
if he has good ties with Mclaren, he could very well take up lando's seat
I don't see lando staying around if he can't get a WDC this year or next year
he drives for mclaren thats why i said it
True, may replace either Yuki or Liam
i do think that norris piastri duo cant hold
Fair, I don't know F2 teams that well frankly
Yeah if the state of 2025 continues, they'll need to change it
Lando will have the honor of starting and finishing his F1 career for a singular team
norris going from 2024 championship contender to taking a back seat for 2025 to his teammate is gonna hit him like a truck
The championship is coming down to the wire, and it's getting stressful for Mclarne to keep both of their cars on track
hes either gonna be broken or he'll make the team choose hard between them and look elsewhere for his chance at a championship
I don't know if he'll get another championship winning team if he leaves Mclaren, so that's that
This may sound like a stretch, but how about Lando goes to Williams?
nah not a good idea, him and Alex are competitive too
Thanks regardless, but yeah this is all just a half-hearted prediction
It's hard to predict how things will go
Hell, I don't know if Charles will stay in Ferrari for 2027
Feels like he's kind of lived past his prime
XD
I just watched that video actually
It was hilarious ngl
I like the grill the grid videos
Though for some reason, Piastri is leading the actual championship AND the Grill the Grid one
It's not fair
Arvid Lindblad. Most likely will be in for next year
Maybe he'll replace Yuki for RB
sigh
Wait, Red Bull too?
To be honest I'd rather be hired at Alpine
but it is funny that both have job openings
What application are you using to find these
i wish job finding was this easy
williams have a lot
Hehe, I suppose it makes alot of sense for Williams
True, makes sense. I keep saying to myself to make a Linkedin account, but I keep forgeting
Maybe I don't care enough

Dick move on Polou by Mclaren ngl
All because of Piastri's unexpected sign up
Without a doubt Mclaren intended Lando and Polou for 2023 onwards
A shame for Alex. But the strength of Lando and Oscar together really has proved McLaren were right to do it.
There's no doubt about that
Oscar has gotten into his groove
And Mclaren does seem alot better these days operations wise than say 2019 or so
But man, it wasn't bad enough denying Polou of that seat, they go as far as to sue him too
Like seriously? They didn't even sign him and ended up getting a different driver in time anyway
So why rub salt on an open wound like that
Oh no
XD
You know what's dawned on me?
THe only WDC title drivers left in F1, besides, are Alonso and Lewis, who've both been racing since Max was a little kid
It's shocking the fact that Seb, Kimi, Button and Rosberg are all gone
Drivers which may I add, all began later than Alonso
Someone mentioned this, and I do find it pretty crazy to be sure how dominant eras are a thing now
FIA was doing crazy work to make sure Ferrari wouldn't be dominant after 2004, and yet they do nothing to stop Red Bull's domination now
i mean, they don't need to now since they screwed themselves over. more likely they're not doing anything about the mclarens
They're retards, that's why
max’s stats in ao3 are genuinely insane like what do you mean he’s the most written about “character” and what do you mean he’s in the top 2 ships with more fics and he’s featured in about 50% of all f1 fics. he’s truly the goat in everything
Sumer break is getting long
I never would have thought that F1 fans would go as far as to write fanfictions about the drivers.
Sometimes, dedicated fans can be frightening.
He has over 12 thousand fanfictions in just his 2 most popular ships with Leclerc and ricciardo 😭
Out of 55 thousand..
Daniel freakkiardo
I’m all for driver ships in a funny best friend gay jokes way. But well some people always take it too far
I mean some dynamics are first formed by the drivers themselves
If you watch old redbull content you’ll see max has probably flirted more on camera with Daniel than his wife XD
Jokes and fun are very welcome for me, as long as people aren’t getting parasocial with drivers’ personal lives (lando fan girls)
F1 Fans ALWAYS take it too far.
I mean some jokes are at the end of day, just jokes.
But I've seen people seriously say shit like "If Gasly and Tsunoda don't get married, I rage."
Some fans are just like this.
If it would be managed, it'd be fine.
Lando Norris fangirls recently were acting like the world ended because Lando is dating a woman they don’t like
Yeah this is why Lando Norris said that he wouldn't mind deleting all his social media accounts.
Some were saying “blah blah I might kill myself lando is officially dating her it can’t be blah blah”
Always taking it too fucking far
Indeed.
And imagine just how pathetic you have to be to be a fangirl of a F1 driver, whose job isn't to be pretty, attractive or even good socially.
Nah. There’s fangirls that appreciate the driver’s qualities as well and watch the races
It’s just bandwagons that treat drivers like kpop idols or something
Those aren't just fangirls anymore then, just fans.
But regardless, it doesn't matter, never take things too far.
I mean I am a little bit into kpop as well and my belief is that the reason the most popular boy groups are completely terrible at making music is because the majority of the fan base is young terminally online girls that judge guys on appearance alone, and drag women down if they aren’t absolutely perfect
I mean there was this video of someone raging over some people saying Lance Stroll is pretty.
And I'm just like... what are you actually mad about?
I swear to god, some people have engraved into their brains that somehow every bad quality comes with one bad quality.
Some nasty people.
That is sadly indeed true. It was true very far back, and now thanks to social media, they can express it even more openly without consequence.
Lance stroll fangirls were going apeshit on Twitter the past week
Because lance stroll visited Israel (he is of fucking Israeli descent)
The slightly altered name from Strulovich to Stroll helps people think he is a pure Canadian or something
Anyway, billionaires don’t make money by advocating for world peace, stroll had to visit Israel and talk with soldiers to make papa’s clientele happy? Ofc he’s gonna do that
I always thought he was Canadian. Being Israeli certainly would add more reason for his haters to hate him further then.
That’s what it’s done now
“I hated him for no reason but I have one now”
Not sure how FIA PR would like that however.
I saw that a bunch of times on Twitter
FIA doesn’t mind it if you’re not supporting minorities XD
Heh, I guess you're right. But still.
If you’re gonna support the people where money comes
I’m sure Mr MBS would be quite pleased
Perhaps, perhaps not. I suppose this only proves how the talk for "equality and equity" in F1 scene was always a bit of a lie.
When they hold races at Qatar.
Well if it was true it’d be quite ironic
But it’s just enough of a coverup so people don’t complain
And the money keeps coming in
Europe didn’t like the Russians, so to make Europe happy Russian flag is banned
But Israel is not banned from neither the Olympics nor F1 nor Football
Enough of the geopolitical discussion but I’m sure with what I said you can figure out for yourself how much sports “care” for equality and fairness
It is a bit of a joke, to be brutally honest.
Banning Russia and Russian athletes when Israel is far guilter, just because of who their allies are.
Who said politics don't play games.
Politics has always been a game of the rich, with the poor as the pawns
Anyways! Back to F1
As for Stroll however, well, it's no surprise that this reveal only worsens his already tarnished and non-existent reputation.
Sadly.
Summer break is very boring to be honest. They need to decrease the number of races per season.
You either have too much F1 content at once, or not any.
Summer break would be all the shit if there was a real championship battle
Would keep people talking about ifs and what’s
This year it’s just especially terrible though..
McLaren dominating, Lando on a slump, Redbull declining, Ferrari sabotaging themselves
It’s pretty much over
Last year coming into summer break max had a marginal lead of like what 70 points, on a rapidly declining redbull and Norris was on a massive comeback with the new dominant McLaren
Yeah, there's no denying that.
And it isn't like there may be some changes after the season via upgrades and so on and so forth.
Because there likely aren't any upgrades, so likely no changes to the grid either.
If people find 2025 boring, I wonder how people managed to stay awake in 2023.
The talk was all about can Max do it, is the car good enough to secure just enough points for the championships, theories on which race it’d come down to the wire in etc.
2023 was even worse to anyone but max fans tbh
Yeah I can imagine that's when the "max glazing" began in full gear.
Though I’d guess people are more likely to complain now because this year you don’t have a dominant car and an established driver dominating
But rather a super dominant car and 2 drivers who aren’t fully fledged yet
It certainly is cool to talk about such things, but these teams aren't competitive. Everyone's too reliable, everyone's too spread out in terms of performance. We have moments like Silverstone with Hulk, but these rarely happen.
Sometimes it feels like Mclaren needs a better set of drivers.
The car was an absolute rocketship, and that’s Max’s words not mine. But to me watching him drive it was art, he was just that good to win races by like 20-30 seconds every week
The first half of the season we had the mclarens be absolutely insanely fast but you’d very commonly see the driver pair make mistakes with it
I guess that’s the difference of two drivers on the rise with a dominant car and a world champion with a dominant car
Essentially, you had an amazing driver, paired with an amazing car.
There was recipe for absolute success.
I’m sure both Lando and Oscar will improve in the coming years, now if they will have machinery as good as this McLaren tho, I don’t know
We'll see who takes this season, cause 2026 may not be their year.
It's rather weird about F1 teams.
The moment they begin to dominate, they become boring.
Honestly, it's almost all down to luck seeing which F1 team ends up being the new dominant team, especially when the regulations change so drastically.
Because the recipe for success isn't a set in stone thing.
Exactly 5 years ago, Sebastian Vettel had to make his own strategy in Spain due to Ferrari's incompetence
︀︀
︀︀He had to do 29 laps on new mediums and 36 laps on used softs
average Ferrari strategy
Seb did very well with this
Man looks like a freaking screenshot from an 80s cop show, or an off-brand Sopranos episode
Seriously, Carlos' face looks alot older than he actually is
Yeah about 50 seems appropriate
He is the 4th oldest driver on the grid at the moment, but I'd argue even Alonso doesn't look as old as Carlos does
I don't know, Carlos looks older to me
Fernando's age is showing no doubt
But Carlos looks older with how much more defined his face is
you'll never guess how old he actually is
I actually had a rather cool dream last night
I had went on a hiking trip with a tour, and that tour happened to have both Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll there
I talked and chatted with them as we were climbing and hiking, very cool dudes
I wonder what he actually meant
That's a good point
I wonder if Ferrari will ever fix this
It's interesting how every team has unique problems
Ferrari doesn't have a championship winning car and neither do most teams besides Red Bull and Mclaren
But Ferrari's problems are unique compared to say Alpine or Sauber
Lets go through them eh?
McLaren - their golden boy and ceo is an unlikeable twat, plus they're still only a customer engine team which is working well for them now but does limit potential
Red Bull - basically running a one car team cause the cars setup window is so narrow that the only thing that can fit in it is a hair
Mercedes - Their problem is their car, they haven't gelled with the ground effect regulations at well and have been slow to improve. Engine is solid, drivers are solid. personnel has been solid.
Ferrari - Strategy team is incompetent and they have no consistency. 2nd fastest car last year to between 2nd and like 5th best car depending on the day.
Aston Martin - Lance Stroll
Williams - Inconsistent as all hell. And so far their car developments haven't been as good as their rivals so they fall back at some tracks.
VCARB - They can have a fast car sometimes, and a dog slow car others. Drivers i feel lack confidence sometimes cause when they do have it the car can get into the points without too much issue.
Alpine - Management
Haas - by far the smallest team on the grid, so they're very limited on what they can do. The car does have its moments but more often than not is towards the back.
Sauber - Tend to start off slow and waste development time fixing their mistakes. Pit crew needs work but they have improved on that recently
Yup, that about sums it up
Thank you zuu
10 teams, 10 different problems with each of their situations
AM's problem seems to be mostly same as Williams, lack of consistency
This may change with 2026
But at this point, they need to do more if they want to win
Still is crazy to me how good Williams was in Miami, Imola and that other one
But I suppose they were only bursts of momentary success
Honestly, I wanna see every team operate at their best one day
No compromise, no issues
Just see what everyone's capable of within their cars' limits
I think we should either have a joker race or a non championship round. all cars are to the best spec of the current regs, all the same. send the drivers around a track that has a good mix of corners, bahrain or catalunya maybe? spa even
equal cars
A1GP tried this
true
crashed and burned
feel like it could work now though, with more eyes on the sport than ever
There's always formula e. A spec chassis single seat world championship
it'd be a great idea to be honestly
Don't even put them in open wheel racers
Do it like that 190E meredes race
Grab like say a standard M340i and give all of them just that
Definitely could now
Formula E has become more specialized per team too however
But at least every car can make it to the podium in a season
You are right about that
But it has changed
First few seasons what you say rung more true than nowadays
Developments are more considerable now, chassis alterations, engines are almost entirely different
It is good that the gap between the cars are less than ever while still bordering between a specialized and a spec series
But what I wanna see them use is just a standard car
Or hell, maybe even a hatchback
Formula 2 exists ✌️
I'd love to see an exhibition weekend with a couple of F2 events running simultaneously. The regular F2 grid and a parallel one with the F1 drivers. Just to see.
Could do that, true
Nearly every F1 team has a F2 team as well
Or well, equivalent so to speak
Though I personally don't quite understand F2 so well
There are teams, but not as per such like there are with F1
The cars are equal, but of course not entirely equal in how each is tuned up
I think F2 teams are just regional
Say you're italian, you race for this team because they have an office in your country
Perma I imagine
I think it's a pretty standard spec car series. But the teams are pure Motorsport teams, not branded marketing exercises, so you'll sometimes see different liveries in the same team, following the drivers and paying for the whole thing
Or am I thinking formula 3...
That's kind of what confuses me
Say there's a BWT spnonsored F2 team too
but it's not related to Alpine
All I can imagine is that the teams are truly unique and separate while all running the same car, maybe differing in each team's size and capactiy
I think Perma racing is the biggest F2 team
My guess is, and it is just a guess, each F2 team is related to every F1 team's driver academy
Where say you are part of alpine's driver academy, you go to race for the team that gets sponsored by both Alpine and BWT because normal Alpine runs that sponsor too
So you also get F2 teams running F1 looking liveries because their junior academy is sponsoring a driver. But I'm sure sometimes you end up with that giving similarly liveried cars run by different teams.
So there's say a Red Bull F2 team, an HP F2 team, a BWT F2 team, an Aramco F2 team and so on and so forht
His is kind of what confuse me frankly
F2, and F3 teams are less interested in making their car Look like a Prema, or a Trident or whatever. They care ONLY about results, because that is what heir business is built on. So the highest bidder gets to paint the cars, but Prema does all the hard work.
If Ferrari was an F2 team, any old sponsor could come along and pay enough money to paint the whole car green or something. But if it wins, the results will still say Ferrari F2 team and everyone will want to race with them, bringing the cash
I don't think any money would convince Ferrari to race outside of Red in F1
Unless it was by choice, yeah it's unlikely
The only occasion they became blue was in a protest I believe
Yeah, when the Ferraris were ran by NART instead of the factory team
And yeah F2 is less hampered by sponsorship and brand deals and obviously a far cheaper series to run
68 i believe?
Interesting how back thne it was possible to buy a chassis from another team, and just race it under your own team banner
Different F1 times
64 sorry
Haas and Aston Martin both tried in the last ten years.
One by buying
The other by 3D modelling 🤣
AM's I believe 2021 chassis was a Red Bull, no?
Haas still does. Dallara still makes the chassis iirc
Mercedes
then they copied the red bull sidepods in 22
I mean Haas still technically tries to do a Ferrari as much as they can
I am talking about AM's 2021 year, not Racing Point 2020
Where the car was famously a pink mercedes
ohh right right yeah
in that sense it was just an evolution of the rp20 then
no red bull influence on the amr21
Yeah that's the way I understand it. You have several drivers under each designated team, and some of them are parts of the F1 teams' driver academies. Those get to wear different liveries, inspired by the F1 cars, to stand out as being drivers of that particular academy
Fair enough. Guess Cobra was wrong back then with them saying this. it always stuck with me
Sadly it carried none of its momentum
And these F2 teams do it because none of them are selling product beyond being racing team. I think.
That's true. it makers sense of course, they don't have much marketing capactiy, and the whole series is always meant to act as the support series to F1
So makes sense that that'd carry over to some of their cars
They don't need to do that kind of marketing, like a mercedes or red bull
haas is a funny team
In a way, they're the continuation of various F1 teams which failed in F1
Dallara makes their chassis, Toyota is their technical partner
And maybe eventual rebrand even
it's like those older teams' ghosts trying to redeem themselves
Indeed. Not only are they not as under the limelight as F1 due to Liberty Media
They also do not need to make THAT much money off of their racing
Oh, F2 and F3 teams are the ones that NEED to make money on the sport. F1 teams all probably make a loss
Not to mention, how there was an old F1 team also named Haas
And how they're a team related to a NASCAR team, whose full name right now is "Stewarts Haas"
Which also reminds me of the Stewarts team before they became Jaguar
Those feeder series teams don't sell much other than season long racing seats and sticker space on their cars. That's it, so all you're operation needs paid for by that.
All the F1 teams have a full business backing that up
I am not saying they don't make money
I'm meaning that their demands aren't that exceeding to meet
Given the whole series is considerably easier and cheaper to run, and each team usually having a driver from an actual F1 Driver academy makes them more money via sponsors
Maybe not sauber? Idk what else they get up to
Oh sure, but if an F2 team starts to make a loss overall it's OVER. Alpine F1 team probably doesn't make a profit by itself, but Renault decides it's worth the cost to be able to say they have an F1 team. Might change their mind soon
Of course, we are dealing with far differnet standards between each series
I do wonder what'll eventually happen with Alpine
Even if they manage to make a turn around, their glory days are so far gone, that the brand feels almost forgotten in the sport
Renault/Benetton already survived through the 2010s by the skin of their nuts on the virtue of the Schumacher Benetton days and the Alonso Renault days
But those days are so far behind them, and they haven't really been anything more than a top mid-field team at best since then
No other team uses their engines anymore either
Doesn't help that Alpine's rebrand into the world of cars and motorsport hasn't exactly been a breakout success either
They don't make any SRO GT2 cars, any GT3 cars, the whole brand feels related to Renault and not exclusive neough
They haven't done eough to warrent the brand change
And with the making of the A390, they'll destroy whatever they had left
And this isn't even touching on the pure shambles that their management on the F1 side has bee like
The A110 has been loved by everyone that's touched it, they just refused to make a follow up.
Their tune up of the Renault 5 has also been really loved too, even if not as hardcore as the the old Clio RS line, but they could go further with it.
Then there's the fugly SUV. Ew.
I think breaking off their Collab project with Lotus has hurt them both so so much
And yeah the F1 team is a shambles. The team will have an ultimatum in 2026
Exactly, they made one fantastic breakout sports car, and have been making it when every other brand has already moved on to a new model
Their only 2 new cars are a hot hatch and an ugly crossover
Indeed. It could have been great. As much as I hate the Evija, were it instead that same crossover product betwene Alpine and Lotus, it could have truly been something great
But alas, it didn't happen and now Alpine just feels like a lesser Renault sport
than actually Alpine
Inded. if they can turn things around, they may get a chance for a bigger bid either under themselves or a better owner for the future
If the state of 2025 continues, the brand is definitely getting sold to the first highest bidder and Renault will completely leave the sport again
Nah the Evija was a pure lotus UK project. And it is relatively lightweight for its class. Everything else they make is a heavyweight in class, which is a shame.
Lotus and Alpine were going to make a mid level EV sports car together and al the rumours I saw said 1200kg
If it wwere true
Tesla, Dacia, BMW, Abarth and Alpine have all made EVs lighter than the Emira it's not hard
Yeah but not really in the form of full on sports cars
Hell, a charging tech company in the UK did a 1200kg Elise based thing just to show off fast charging
Wow, that actually looks good
The Tesla roadster and Abarth 500 and Alpine a290 are all pretty sporty
But anyways, Alpine are in a little bit of an identity crisis when the A110 disappears out the dealerships
The F1 team struggling will not help, especially when they're marketing HARD the connection between the F1 car and the SUV.
Which would be stupid even if they were winning championships on the regular imo
Not sports cars
And the Tesla Roadster isn't even its own car
It's a Lotus testbed more like
Exactly! A sports car should be designed FIRST to be light. None of these EVs were done like that and still came out lighter than anything lotus sells right now
Yeah I agree. This is the worst era for trying to relate and market Motorsports with everyday cars when one's the size of a house
Who knows at this point
Maybe Porsche with all thheir Macans and Caynennes will come into F1 again
At least Porsche still sells some sports cars
Indeed. It should be done with lightness and handling in mind
I don't think VAG would stump up the cash for two teams.
there are merits and disadvantages to making EV cars
Most of the current EVs' diaadvantages come from the general market
Most EVs are luxury boats
An already heavy design with a heavy battery pack and the brakes go yikes
The merit is that the floor is completely balanced in terms of weight
So if they can keep a car small and low, and also lightweight, it'd ne incredibly balanced
Perhaps not, but at this point nothing feels entirely off the table either
If anyone wanted their branding to lift them in Motorsports these days, my money is on the Korean manufacturers (unlikely with Genesis just entering WEC) or perhaps a Chinese manufacturer, wanting to look more appealing in Europe now that they're here. Buying up an F1 team that Renault might want out of could make sense.
THis is exactly my mindset too
Oh the skateboard layout isn't appropriate for sports EVs. Maserati are doing a T shape, to keep the seats as low as possible, and Porsche and Lotus are toying with a box shaped battery behind the driver, to give a mid engined handling feel
Chinese car makers and or possible funders for teams is a complete possibility in today's world
MBS and FIA want money, and nobody brings in more money than China
And China wanna promote their tech, and also show off tehri drivers' skill, as marketing for both the coountry and its industry
It feels super likely that a Chinese owner to one of the F1 teams will happen
That's smart too, but as you see, their hand is open compared to a conventional ICE setup
They can arrange the batteries however they want their cars' balance to be like
There's enough manufacturering capability to make it happen in china. Question is, do they even need to bother?
Chinese cars sell well in china because the cars are aimed at what the Chinese buyer wants. Chinese cars are selling crazy well in Europe so far because they're cheaper than anything anyone else is making, and that says A LOT. On the right day, you can buy a big Chinese suv with a big juicy battery and pay LESS than renting a Citroen Ami from new it's MADNESS
Do these companies need to blow a couple hundred million dollars to improve their image? The average buyer doesn't seem to mind
It is, but of course, with the level of greed of theirs, it isn't unlikely that they'll want to further expand
who knows, maybe they'll just end up beiig a title sponsor for one of the teams first, test out the waters
And then buy out Alpine
It'd be cool to see more general Motorsport interest in china. More sports cars, more sports editions.
Like you said, it's not a matter of whether if they can or not, they definitely can run one, if not 10 different F1 teams
it's a matter of whether if it's something they care enough about
I'd say maybe they don't care so mch now, but given their cars becoming a mainstay in many racing series, the future indicates that they may enter bigger motorsport as well
Oh yeah Lynk is in WTCC aren't they?
Indeed
Geely group, if I remember right
I am not even sure if the Lynk&Co 03 is sold there or not
One thing which always intrigues me about Chinese cars is why they never design their cars' headlight normally
They are always either extremely thin, or they're placed in an unusual spot, ot maybe even a monolight bar on front and back
It's an odd thing that they're copying off of Koreans now
Which I don't know why Koreans are doing it either
I assume to stand out
I think it comes from the companies being newer
They've spent more of their time with LED strips and daytime running lights than BMW has
Maybe? Maybe it's them trying to stand out, maybe it's a trendy design in Korean and Chinese domestic car markets
Of course, eventually every domestic trend bleeds out to everywhere else too
You see Japanese cars with weird headlights too now
I think they still need time to improve those designs
Chinese car designs aren't bad or anything
just feels like they're being intentionaly quirky than timeless
I really like the Lynk&Co 03 but it really isn't that pretty
Feels more like a gimmick design
Well they don't have so many iconic timeless designs going back decades and decades and decades to be inspired by
But they also don't have many of the established designers either
All and all, I am sure they'll improve as they go along
It's a whole national industry where everyone is relatively new to the game.
They already at least have their own distinct design language
Way more than I can say for most American cars of today
Which are all just universally blocky and ugly
It'l certainly be interesting to see how it changes over time
They'll eventually reach a level of history as well
who knows, maybe they'll even take over other brands
Definitely is already happening from the look of things

I like the bluntness present in these talks
They really already spent so much time going at each others' throats that they really don't mind the harsh words and terms anymore
Also, Eddie's misinput was hilarious
"What about Clouthard, if he was your Teammate could you have easily blown him off?"
Maybe he knew before it became public domain xd
i knew liam is musically inclined but WHAT THE FREAK?!?!?! i didn't know he's this good 😭
okay i thought this tweet was gonna be an overexaggaration or something
but no bro is really fucking good

It's interesting how much different Ferrari's problems were then compared to now
Back then they just didn't have the car, the strategies weren't the problem
Now they don't have strategies, and their car is only a winner on the best of days
The car has issues too now
Not as severe but the suspension and floor misjudgements on the design have fucked them over quite hard
Everyone else is running lower than them
And doesn’t have plan wear issues
Yeah as I said
The car's only a winner on best of days
There's definitely problems, little things that add up
the concept of wearing this in the piastri grandstand at the 2026 aus gp
QRT: OscarPiastri
Only gone and got a grandstand
3 day pass to suzuka with seats at the S curves was $130... oscar piastri better be sitting next to me if I'm paying $800 for one day
Ridiculous
I don't get the joke however with why Oscar went and got an Alpine shirt
thats a piastri f2 merch tshirt a fan owns
from way back when
XD
Oooh, fair enough hehe
makes sense
yeah pricing is insane. Not on Oscar tho, the Australian GP ticket prices for this year are insane. Its 800 on the straight, or turn 1, or piastri grandstand
Jesus, they just charge such insane amounts for every track
it's crazy
Why would one care about driver stands man
its a fan experience, but again, its a track issue
suzuka was fucking 130 euros 3 days
thats insanely cheap man
spa was also cheap and its SPA
Yeah this is why I dislike these prices
They're expensive, but not consistent
You have tracks like Las vegas, miami and Australia with insane prices
And then Spa or Suzuka, considerably more significant tracks, considerably cheaper
The most obvious options for them.
I'll be happy for those two to get another chance
There are still talks that Valtteri will be racing for Alpine
Which makes sense given they'll be using Mercedes PUs in 2026
Indeed, it will be cool to see.

Gotta be funny to be Seb
You come into sport, as a young rookie, thawrting your senior teammate
And then have that happen to you as well on two separate occasions
Daniel with Red Bull and Charles with Ferrari
alonso deserved better
Real (I bought the Ferrari)
pfft
he came so close, but that's just what it's all about
🚨 Sergio Perez rejected a contract offer from Cadillac because they refused to offer a $30 million bonus for winning the championship. 😳
The American team then offered Valtteri Bottas his place, whose position on the 2026 F1 grid is now confirmed.
(via @Racing_365) https://t.co/vOrrV9ZJor
Imagine saying no to that. 😂😂😂
👀
Bro's acting like he's gonna win a championship
Exactly, Cadillac can't surely be assuming their championship ready. Why NOT promise Perez a unicorn and a billion dollars if he wins the WDC 2026

- Ferrari- Team and brand founded by Enzo Ferrari
- Mclaren - Team founded by Bruce McLaren
- Williams - Team founded by Frank Williams
- Sauber - Team founded by Peter Sauber
- Mercedes-AMG - Brand founded by Karl Benz, named after Mercédès Jellinek, and AMG standing for Aufrecht and Melcher, the founders, and Großaspach, the place of founding
- Haas - Team founded by Gene Haas
- Aston Martin - Brand founded by Robert Bamford and Lionel Martin and the Aston Clinton hill climb
- Alpine - Brand founded by Jean Rédélé whose favorite driving roads were the winding roads of the Alps mountain range
- Red Bull - Team founded by Red Bull, name based on Krating Daeng, which translates to "red bison" or "red bull" in English from Thai
The Benz part of Mercedes Benz was founded by Karl Benz that’s for sure, but you could say Benz, Jellinek and Maybach were equally responsible for putting their powers together to create Mercedes Benz
Also I always forget that Red Bull is thai, I mean it’s so ironic considering their drivers are Japanese and Dutch 😭
Oh I am not saying that they weren't involved, far from it
However, I am merely point out people involved in how the brands' got their namesakes
Current Red Bull is basically completely disconnected from the original Thai origins
it's essentially some businssman coming in and taking advantage of your work to sell it to globe
So it's not a surprise you forgot. Hell, I had no idea about it until I looked it up myself while looking for the origins of these names
They barely touch on this
I probably should have mnetioned it however
Well if you are gonna mention jellinek who didn’t give much apart from the name Mercedes (he separated from the group later while maybach and Benz stayed)
That’s why I thought I’d mention it
I remembered cause they made tsunoda wish the thais a happy international liberation day
And the comments were like, didn’t they have anyone not Japanese to do that? And the other is a Dutch so just as bad XD
Yeah you'r eright. My bad, I should have mentioned Maybach
As for Jellinek
Well, the name's brand comes from them
Kind of significant regardless of real life circumstance
True
Absolutely
Let's be real, Red Bull right now is such a weird brand
their brand identity lies within so many deficits, it's amazing they manage to exist at all
Let's be real, it's an exception, not the rule
Maybe it’s thanks to Ferrari and Mercedes not getting their shit together either
As for their F1 success, we can thank others for it I think
And somehow Mr Sees-Aerodyanmics-of-a-cow
Like, I genuinely refuse to believe he's somehow different from any other aero designer
People are right to say Horner got sacked rightfully
And that Helmut Marko has also outstayed his welcome
Oh absolutely
But those 2 if you go 10 years ago, are the 2 people along with newey that built redbull
Success doesn't excuse people
Can’t undermine that, even if Horner is a terrible person or whatever I am talking specifically team wise success
And to be truthful, back then, they were considerably better people
When a team is in such shambles, it is easy to be more motivated and actually be a half decent person
But when the team is great, you start getting distracted and arrogant
Also this redbull project wasn’t a sure fire success not even with newey
It is the reason Alonso denied neweys offer and went to Ferrari
Had he known the future, he could have those 4 championships vettel won
For sure
Speculation of course
And to be honest, I am glad it didn't happen
But you get my point
Those Championships ruined Vettel's reputation
Ferrari was more appealing then even if Redbull had a newey design car
We don't like people who win too much
Ferrari is always the correct choice between any team offer
Like Vettel said, everyone is a Ferrari fan
People loved vettel more when he was getting fucked over by Ferrari and being a runner up
But in reality it always has been the same guy
Which is a shame
And if you manage to find success in a Ferrari, your name will be written inpure gold
Albeit young vettel was a lot more aggressive on track, but personality wise, same guy
Goes to show what the image of being a winner is a double edged sword
Every single legend that fails to succeed in Ferrari puts another 10 tons of gold on Schumachers name
Though to be fair, part of it is justifiable as well with how we know Webber was treated in their time
Red Bull paddock was always very toxic once they were competitive
it's a double edged sword, no doubt
Webber’s treatment was because of Vettel existing but it’s not like he schemed about it
That’s just when the typical RB no2 bullshit started
Well, one doesn't have to be at fault for them to not be seen as part of the problem
Same story with practically every team
Red Bull has two prime examples of this
3 if you count Ricciardo
Well if we are being honest to ourselves I think Alonso got screwed much harder in McLaren
Oh for sure
There's always worse examples of bad treatment
and Mclaren is practically notorious for it
Not in his later stint, the one where Alonso got a massive championship winning promise and then McLaren fucked him over for the young upcoming star
His mclaren years were truly a shame
I cannot express how glad I am that he returned from retirement
Because if that was the end to his story, it would have been a crying shame
At least now he is a beloved image of the oldest driver on the grid, while still feeling as young as he did back in his debut
F1 is an interesting sport, where we sometimes hardly even care about the actual racing
Just seeing certain drivers on the grid is enough
And if they do manage a podium or a win? Their name will be spoken like they were a living legend
2023 was a golden year for Alonso, 2024 double podium for Alpine, Kevin Magnussen famous Haas performance, 2025 Nico Hulkenberg podium
Okay so twitter drive to survive f1 fans are just starting to grasp the fact that f1 drivers are rich
They are complaining about the drivers wearing Richard Milles
“That’s the price of a home on a watch”
Literally if a person that has as much money as them where is he supposed to spend it if it isn’t cars and luxury
"Who would have thought a sport made by rich people, for rich people, entertained by rich people, would have rich people in it."
F1 is literally the most wasteful and glamorous sport on the planet
It's amazing when they JUST grasp this
Charities or maybe buying a company or something
Something productive
Well most drivers have all that too
I mean doesn't Lewis hamilton have a clothing company under him?
I think they deserve to own luxury items
Plus isn’t F1 literally sponsored by Richard Mille now that Rolex left
Nobody deserves anything, they've earned to be having such items because they managed to be some of the few who survived on this scene
So maybe they are even obliged to wear them XD
it's mostly how it is, yeah
What I meant is they have the right to spend their money on whatever the fuck they want and Twitter users should stay silent and fill out job applications
Regardless, I myself would do something considerably more productive if I had that sort of spare cash
but then again, why would I know how I'd be if I got to be that stinking rich
Cause f1 is not even the top 1% of drivers. It’s the top 0.0 if we are being realistic
Pretty much yeah. Sad as their wasteful spendings are, it's their money
They choose how to spend it
besides, not all of the grid are equally rich either
Like Esteban
Pretty much yeah
Well imagine you already have houses, jets, companies, multiple sponsorships. A lot of drivers also rely on going to events and there you just have to be fashionable according to the rich people that attend those
Like genuinely the only rich as fuck driver that does non of this shit is Max
Pretty much
To him, life would be exactly the same if he had only 1% of his current wealth
Same with some of the other drivers
Nah max buys cars cars cars and race cars
Unlike Lewis Hamilton, who practically makes fashion his whole thing
And somehow he never looks good in anything
Or maybe I am not fashionably intelligent enough to get it
High fashion is not for us
I understand why everything is so over the top there but that’s where it stops for me
I would suggest funding companies, maybe power plants, communication centers, helping with water infrastructure
That's where this amount of money would be best useful
I don’t imitate it nor do I wish I had it
Especially in lesser able countries
The best kind of charity if the one you don’t hear who it’s funded from
So I guess we’re never gonna know
Maybe you'r right, maybe they are already funding many charities
But to me, I wouldn't mind if they said it openly either
Maybe they aren’t
Some of these charities are significant
Significant enough for it to be okay to flaunt a bit
But oh well, who's to say rich people care about any of this
None of these drivers have ever had finanical difficulty in their lives post their F1 debut
So it's easy to imagine they don't even think normal living really exists anymore
It's not even due to arrogance, they've just been disconnected from this part of reality for so long
They probably aren't, yes
Same. And frankly, even if I had such a high life, I still wouldn't do it
After a certain point, if it doesn't look good, it's not worth wearing
Lewis does more activism than any of the other drivers these days. At least that we hear about
I don't think you forget what being a normal person is like because you suddenly end up a millionaire through one of the most high pressure sports ever invented.
I completely believe it is normal to happen
I think it depends on who you were. I know a lot of people who believe in the hustle grind set shite. That they're destined to be rich because they are trying the hardest out of anyone. I think people like that wouldn't be changed by money, they'd become the arrogant rich guy they always believed they were when broke.
Not saying it's everyone
But it's extremely common
Then again, why am I even pretending to understand rich people
It's a completely different world
If Jeff b*zos ever gives me his billions I'll tell you what it's like ✌️
Hehe
Wouldn't mind being rich enough to have new kind of worries for at least a day
It would cost 20% of his net worth to make all the people in this server billionaires
Indeed
Hell
If someone made a billion every year they lived, they still wouldn't have as much money that Jeff Bezos has
Some Kuwaiti investment dude, Saad Kassis-Mohamed, has been announcing he wants to create a 12th F1 team. And the wackiest part of the rumour is that he wants to bring the Caterham name to that team 🤣
“Caterham has strong recall and no current grid presence. A brand licence shortens the marketing ramp without reviving the defunct corporate entity or its liabilities,” the Kuwaiti entrepreneur said, outlining the reason for not marketing the team as a new entry.
This is one of the most icky quotes I've ever read
I mean I am more than open to a 12th backmarker team, and who better than Caterham
But being for real, this all sounds very iffy and fake
This guy has he money to make it happen. But he doesn't sound like he has anything else you need to make an F1 team. And the FIA absolutely DOES NOT want a pitiful back marker like the triple threat of slow cars we had from HRT, Caterham and Virgin
Indeed, they fucked up with those 3's arrival
It wasn't even the teams' fault, but rather FIA itself bringing them on based on a cost cap measure which never came
As for this case, indeed if the person doesn't have proper facilities that at least get to the standards of say Haas, he has no hope of having a team that's even remotely competitive
I wonder what happened to all the Hispania team, being an F1 team that was actually not from the UK
HRT? They had immense cost measure problems
With a lack of sponsorship
It's a shame that seemingly every team that's not from UK or doesn't have a facility there seems to be destined for failure
Makes it sad for national representation
I mean after F1. There was a facility capable of building carbon fibre F1 cars, and the talent to do it. I'm wondering what happened after
Costs and lack of real goals I imagine
Of course there's not
But let's be real, the people who fund these often lose all wish to continue to the point where evn the talent involved ends up basically going nowhee after the fiasco is done
It's a waste, and I can only hope these people went on to find careers elsewhere in this field
Fernando Alonso's F1 All Stars take on a team of football legends including Robert Pires and Michel Salgado in the Heineken Champions of the Grid 5-a-side match on the Monza pit straight.

🦅 🇺🇸
Hahaha
man crashed the hardest too
The best part of Logan Sargent is that I don't even know why he crashed so much
Unlike most crash prone rookies, like Latifi, Mazepin, Schumacher, Stroll, he isn't even a paid driver
He just had no skill in F1 seemingly
Guess he was more like Mick Schumacher in more ways than 1
Logan wasn’t a top tier talent or anything
But remember they kicked him and hired colapinto to reduce damage costs…
Fucking ironic XD
Indeed, though to be fair, Colapinto hasn't been as bad
Yeah but even the worst of talents would still not crash this frequently
Like it amazes me how much he crashed
It's like he was on a F1 2024 challenge run of seeing how quickly he would get sacked
by the time logan got sacked, he had stopped crashing so often. Then colapinto came and immediately racked up like 250k in damages
"colapinto wasnt that bad"
to put it into perspective
logan drove 14 races
franco drove 9
full list
Jesus, okay he is bad indeed
Really? Pierre has never done ajh damage? Damn
Now that's wicked unexpected
in 2024 he did not even put a scratch on his car yes
thats why hes rightfully the golden child of alpine
in a time where every cent matters to them he keeps it on the road
He definitely helps them immensely with that indeed
That's some impressive work he's done

I saw this video get recommended indeed
And indeed, feels like an upload for me
And I am sure many others here too
if you watch this youll just notice how some circuits people now call boring were so so amazing back in the day
Monaco
with the smaller cars the track width really seemed to be 4 times what it is now..
FOr sure. The car sizes have had a really big effect, which is quite a shame. Honestly, while I understand size is particularly for safety, I don't see how the cars being the size of F2 cars would decrease their safety in any way
All and all, all of it sounds like nonsense excuses to me
Dying is kind of normal in racing and sports in general
and even by 90s, the sport was so much more professional and safer, it practically was a different thing altoigether
It really helped with track variety. Say some of the hated tracks of right now, Monaco, Cataluniya, Russia and etc, they'd be alot more beloved with those eras of cars racing at them
you should boot up sochi in a sim or something. Youd stop mentioning it then XD
ive driven it enough in F1 2020 in both F1 and F2 cars to tell you its an abyssmal circuit XD
Maybe I do, cause I frankly have never experienced it
None of rhe games I've played with have had the track
Now that I think about it, not many Russian tracks in games that I can think of
Not a country known for Motorsport
I mean everyone says it is abysmal, but I put it down to cars being too big
Then again, what do I know
the track rhythm is off
the turns are not satisfying
some corners exist just for the sake of existing and offer nothing
I mean I thinkt hat sounds kind of silly
No corner ever exists for any reason other than to exist
a corner can offer an overtake opportunity
Hell that's why so many tracks over time inserted artifical chicanes over time
To keep teh racing close
that's what corners do
yeah but then this is sochi
But isn't this a case like Singapore then? That circuit has alot of needless tight sharp 90 degree turns too without much chance for overtake
so sochi S3
I mean the circuit was allegedly designed to fit the olympic games' stadium, so it was always gonna be a bit compromised
the most compromised sector is like sector 1 i think
but the other sectors are worse if anything
I don't disagree that the circuit definitely feels rather random
if I wer to say do 10 laps around here, and also 10 laps around albert park
i'd have a signifcantly easier time remembering the latter's pattern
And do note, no game besides F1 games has Albert park
I didn't even know the circuit existed until I played F1 Challenge, so I was completely new to it
ive driven albert park in the game and its just a good circuit end of
its not iconic or whatever but its simple enough to be fun
it's simple but some turns do catch you off gaurd
They do to me at least
I'm never that fast around it
sochi on the other hand... has maybe 1 memorable corner and thats turn 3
I think it also has to do with the number of turns
Most memorable circuits have fewer than 15 turns
Some less than 10
well that can be false cause some circuits have what we call fake corners
basically some circuits tend to count every little bend as a corner
Tracks like Spa only stand out because of how varied each turn is, hence it doesn't become so boring unlike Sochi
Which has none of that elevation change
Really? I didn't know they did that
the problem with sochi is that as soon as you leave sector 1
just look how many 90 degree bends theyve unnecesarily flooded the track with
only way to tell where you are is which way youre facing XD
Yeah I can see what you mean
Many of those turns are blind too
so it makes it even more scary
baku is a lot scarier
but at least that track has beautiful scenery
elevation change
other stuff going for it
many of the street circuits' issues can be considered compromises due to them being based on streets
Sochi didn't have such an excuse
in sochi's case it feels like they tried to replicate that, with a circuit... why
Kind of like Miami hehe
miami has 1 huge excuse
THough I frankly have no idea which city streets Miami is based on
Someone said it's based on a parking lot actually
and that is that the track couldnt be built if the plan given compromised the LEAST parking spots possible
thats the american way
it's still silly
But yeah still more of an excuse
Besides, the way I understand it, Russia already has an F1 grade circuit at moscow
So it only makes sense that tey used that instead
Looking at its map, it looks far more flowing as well
that is miami when there isnt a circuit
Seriously?
Bruh
They waste so much money setting everything up once per year
Could have just built a permanent circuit instead
over 26 thousand parking spaces
Hell, I understand money is a thing, but it isn't like US has any shortage of circuits, so why not use any of those?
44 parking lots
so as you can see here
What a waste of space, literally
the track is built with the thought of losing as little parking spaces as possible
because america
i heard they unironically fill up the parking to the brim.
the stadium fits 65k people (for football or whatever it is for right)
those 65k people bring over 27k cars to watch a game
Good lord...
American population of just one city, may I add
They outdo the car count of some countries with just one city
so yeah
miami gp shouldnt exist and everyone hates it
i agree
but its an american gp made in the "american way"
and thats why the layout is so compromised (shit)
it's ironically the most poetically accurate circuit of the entire calender
yup
I suppose it's at least race-able
in the city of greed
I will never forget that first year of Las Begas
So much money spent on showing off the wealth and power
im with max on that
Only to have a pothole problem on the actual circuit
love the circuit, hate the spectacle
Like.. mygod, that's the funniest thing ever
I suppose its layout isn't the issue then
But yeah
F1 as a whole has changed
used to be alot more tin-top
las vegas for those fat ass cars unironically is one of the circuits that fit them the most
Nowadays, being based in places like US, Qatar, Saudi, really shows the modern direction
ironic how its probably the least thought out circuit (in terms of layout) on the calendar
Now that's not something you expect to hear
as long as qidiya enters the game we may see f1 change permanently
Fact is, the sport is way too costly right now
Never did it make sense for a single F1 team to be team 1 billion dollars
i am still of the belief that if qidiya comes into existence
So they have to do races like this just to keep that flow of cash
we will wish we were back to now
What's qidiya?
the new circuit that will replace jeddah
the one with a floating RGB sector over a hotel
Oh god I remember
Will say, Jeddah is no favorite of anyone, but being replaced bby that? Jesus christ
yeah its an even worse show of greed than vegas with the sphere
yeah if circuits like that come into play, we'll miss even a period like right now
jeddah is also not a terrible track for racing
would prolly be one of the best if not for the walls they built
yeah it looks like a sperm cell but other than that
And it definitely isn't as bad as qidiya is suppsed to be
the track is good
yeah.. XD
Will say, if F1 keeps heading in this direction, I'll tune out of it eventually
one hundred and eight meters above ground...
Jesus fucking christ
THis is a racing circuit, the most wasteful form of money spending possible, in a country whose people below the poverty line don't even have working sewages
if they end up building that
they will have to build a fucking 20 metre tall cage around it
that defeats the purpose of the ramp
or someone is gonna die
pick and choose FIA and mohammed ben slimeybastard
Hahaha, yeah at that point what would even be the point of it
Even an F1 car with that much downforce, should it catch any air, will fly right off that edge into god knows where
This is just ASKING for a freak accident
i share the same thoughts with you man of tweet
Surely there is ONE Saudi Arabian risk assessor
I can't even imagine it being healthy for the drivers who have to endure such an insane elevation change with their ears plugging
thats not too much of a problem for them i feel
i watched carlos sainz dive 12 metres immediately without stopping
At this point they'll replace the drivers with AI
which is freakish for someone that isnt a pro diver
Surely, but I don't imagine any of them have the ears of the people who fund this
yeah the elevation aint the issue but rather the risk of something terrible happening
noone is gonna go 100% there
Absolutely

Farewell Guys,
ThatOneFormula
and if something does happen itll be way worse than even a car landing on a grandstand
hahaha! What the hell was it thinking
a car flying off into a hotel... could kill thousands upon thousands of people
Worse than the Le Mans disaster even
Man what a world we living in
sugar boy would be fuming at this
(he hates palou)
Hahaha, he does indeed, I remember
Will say, this news does come somewhat unexpectedly
I mean to be honest I was more so expecting Hadjar as a possible candidate for a driver they'd upgrade to the Red Bull seat, but guess it'd be quite a twist to have Alex Palou in there
He was supposed to race for Mclaren anyway, and I am sure he doesn't wanna stay in the Indycar hell any longer either
We have to expect maximum nonsense from red bull though
For 2026, it's definitely quite difficult to speak with certatinty
But as a whole, yeah I don't imagine it'd be an enviroment he'd be so excited about after he makes it
it's ridiculous how many drivers Red Bull has gone through in the last 2 years alone
Both the main team and VCARB
I just hope they find a bit of groundedness
For 2026, they're putting alot of eggs in one basket, given they're developing a whole new engine all by themselves
Without Adrian Newey, without Christian Horner, and without a concrete 2nd seat driver, it's a risky endevour
Frankly, they might still have a top team car for 2026, or maybe be top of the mid-field, but I don't see them being championship contenders
Aston Martin on the other hand, they have high expectations put on them
Same good PUs as Red Bull from the last couple of years from Honda, Adrian Newey and Fernando Alonso on their side
maybe we'll see a repeat of 2023 with them
Oh yeah I do wonder what Honda are up to
With the PU rules changing next season, is the Red Bull Ford power train (which will be a dev of the old Honda one next year? Is next years honda going to be a totally unrelated machine? It would be interesting to learn about it
Surely would be
I am not sure to be honest, but I do hope their PUs stay good for 2026 as well
Cause otherwise, Aston would have thrown money into fire
Some of the headlines about 400k straight line speed are wild
What do you mean
