it'll always be money
Honestly alot of great American circuits could be used for the American GPs
Laguna seca, Road America, Road Atlanta, Indianpolis, Sonoma/infenion
Or more beloved street circuits than Miami or Las Vegas
Oh willow spring too
Not sure why they don't use any of these, but if I were to venture a certain guess, it's cause of money
I'm surprised they don't host a Washington GP, that goes around the white house and washington monument
This track is miserable in every game I've played it in
It's a bit long, but miserable sounds harsh
it's just more top speed focused than others
Also glad you liked my coment hehe
You're always saying interesting things
they might be scared of having osama bin russel to close to the DC
Don't threaten me with a good time lmao
Not a big fan of the track?
God they are MAD LMAO
Does Kimi Antonelli know that the other driver in the Mercedes is competing with Max ?
What a joke
QRT: MercedesF1_Hub
Kimi gave Max a tow.Max: "He helped me a little on my lap. He gave me a bit of a tow. We'll have to get pasta together soon!"
https://t.co/2Qn6xQqe7I
Nah, but I've only played it in various Forza games so it might actually be good irl
Really? You think so?
pfft
I don't understand
Kimi apparently gave a tow to max and that helped him with P1, this person (SAINT Lewis is their name if you thought they were some unbiased sane person) is very frustrated at the fact Kimi put his teammate George Russel at a slight disadvantage
To be fair, it is kind of ridiculous to put your teammate indirectly at disadvantage, especially to Max who sand bagged the entire practice sessions
I'd be kind of mad too if I were someone at team Mercedes
But from an outside point of view
It's hardly something that matters
Mclaren already have won the series fully
Even if they come 10th every race here on out, which they won't, they'll win constructors
People that think Red Bull make a shit car on purpose for the practice session and sacrifice important track acclimatization time to look bad in front of other teams and actually try in qualifying are funny
if anyone's interested, I've now watched the f1 movie
if i wasn't an f1 fan, probably a solid 7/10
I honestly have no idea anymore whether if they genuinely were that bad in practice, or they were actually sandbaging
Since you are an F1 fan, how do you rate it then?
as an f1 fan, that didn't pay to watch the f1 movie
5/10
some good moments, pacing was kinda weird though
Max and team are REALLY good at turning that car around.
like the racing moments were over pretty quick
I'm have GOT to see this messy as fuck movie
and they went from Mexico to spa being the next race
I was looking for something else and then I found out that the movie had 3 music sections?
Which.. I don't really understand
No other movie of this nature has 3 music sections
ALSO
maim character gets sacked 2nd to last race
shows up to the last race on the sunday i assume and team owner decides to put him in the car
The car has a very tiny setup margin, anything outside and it drives like shit. When they find the setup it’s fast
That’s all there is to it
also, some tactics would have got him the yugi ide treatment
It’s definitely not an on purpose thing
if that's the case, then I guess I understand it
It's typical hollywood
Making stakes high where they really don't need to be
But let's be real, any semblance of sense was already thrown out the window when you consider the age of the main character
You don't just put Nigel Mansell in a modern F1 car because he used to be a legend in his day
max can find that tiny setup window more consistently than his teammates, but the more the design team develop the car the smaller that window seems to get. from a dominant 23, small chinks in the armour come the end of 24 to nearly undriveable 25
not especially after it was revealed the characters spine was fucked after his crash in the 90s
Seriously? That's just beyond unbelievable
You don't even need to be a F1 fan to call the BS on that
And to be honest, I don't really get this trope
Same thing happened in Top Gun, though Maverick wasn't nearly that old in that movie
So it still made more sense
But I've noticed a recent resurgance of "old folks showing they still got it" in hollywood movies
its why sainz said go into it with an open mind
and honestly, if you do and try and forget the whole logistics of f1
its an enjoyable movie
I am sure it is
It's definitely high production
And let's be real, most other movies would be a movie based on the older "golden age" of F1
Not a modern age of F1
Now it means that this era of F1 has been forever immortalized
Not just another movie based on older ages
depends on the target demographic
As one of the few who finds the design of current F1 cars rather nice, I am glad they did what they did
But you know what I wish they'd do? Not call the movie "F1"
Call it like "F1: Driven to win" or "F1: Legends return"
Calling it just F1 just makes it sound like this is the be-all-end-all F1 material you'll ever need
Ron Howard liked the story of Lauda vs Hunt, so he tried to make an authentic film on 70s f1 that focused on lauda and hunt. and rush is probably one of the best "f1" movies ever
The Rush was not only the best Racing movie of all time
it was also one of the best movies of all time outright
We knew F1 movie would never even come close
When my internet was restricted, I sat down and watched it after downloading it
And afterwards I was honestly astounded
The level of quality was something I had rarely seen in a movie
A movie that pulled no punches, told it as it were
And still managed to tell a story with a strong message
Maybe not 100% accurate, but it was better than I could have ever expected
Anyway, enough of me glazing Rush
I hope to watch F1 the movie one day
When you're understeering past an apex, no. 1 rule is you DON'T keep turning, you straighten the wheel and ask for grip again.
︀︀What's this guy doing?
turns out, twitter user @gurt___yo knows the solution to red bulls problems
should get him in touch with 4 time world champion max verstappen immediately
Gurt yo doesn't know you can change the car setup lmao
At this point, if FIA were to stop using the "2 cars for every team" requirement
I am sure Red Bull would be just Max verstappen, and no other car would race under them
there's an interesting theory on how we can spice championships up, and I'm gonna regurgitate it so hear me out
They'd all do it anyway because motorsports is expensive and every top flight sport has to DESPERATELY cut entry costs to keep the poor, penniless, flailing car industry involved
Separate the points for the cars and drivers
Drivers score as they do now
but for the constructors
only the highest positioning car scores points
True, true, to be honest I think it makes more sense as well
When teammates are rivals anyway and don't actually contribute to each other unless they're a backmarker team, then it makes no sense to have 2 cars
I mean that's already what effectively happens
One car often scores the most point
and the other either scores little or no point
depends on the team
With majority of the teams which are midfield
Ferrari are quite equal for example
Unless we're speaking top teams like mclaren
but if you only set it so the top car scores the points. all 10 teams are scoring constructors points each race, unless they both dnf
Honestly would be way cooler that way. 20 teams instead of 10, and 20 different cars
but teams have to manage both cars cause if one of their cars drops out, they have to maximise with the other car for damage limitation
But then what if a team doesn't finish in the points in either case
Actually no I get you
Say both Sauber cars come last
Then they only get 1 point
To be honest, your system is a considerably kinder one
No i get you
Say for example
mclaren finished 1st and 2nd
Only the 1st car's point is counted
And then the 3rd say Ferrari is the 2nd constructor's point
And the 4th Ferrari doesn't get any point, and the 5th Mercedes gets 3rd constructor's point
So basically every car gets at least one point in the constructor's championship
We effectively make the grid from 20 cars into 10 cars, by every higher finishing car represeting the entire constructor point
yeah exactly that
Yeah I get you
should hopefully make for a closer constructors
It's a very kind system
Because that way it means the constructor's battle isn't so dependant on the drivers
Because even at their worst they still get at least 1 point
Unless two team's cars DNF, then it comes down to who went the furthest
It falls more down to how the team manages the race. Say verstappen is winning but he dnf's, then tsunoda becomes important for red bull and they focus on him. but if they manage it properly, they can get tsunoda up the order to cover if that happens
if both cars dnf, its the same as now. 0 points
have to finish the race to score
or at least complete 90%
So then it means that the lowest finishing teams won't get 1 point, but more
That's actually smart
Because obviously if the car is so unreliable
Then the constructor shouldn't get a point
Exactly
but if you can effectively manage both drivers, you can get them both drivers points and cover off if your lead driver dnf's cause you'd still get decent points from the second driver
I'd say 60% of the race, because from 60% onwards is usually when the mechanical issues happen
Say both of the teams' cars get taken out on turn 1, bottas style, then it's not really fair for the team to be judged based on lack of reliability
When it wasn't reliability that ruined their race, but rather another race's lack of judgement
So if a car can make 60% of rhe race, clearly the car is reliable enough to get far
so can score a point even if it breaks down afterwards
Honestly a good plan, because then it means teams like Red Bull won't always lose the constructors
Because one driver zooms off and the other drver is nowhere
Ferrari would become a mid-fielder in constructors too
It's definitely a system that'll badly effect some
Basically any team with shitty driver management
Of course, i'd say Ferrari will still pull forward, they have shown to have consistency
Always top 8
Alpine, fucked
mmhm
Aston Martin, fucked (but thats more down to the incompetence of Lance Stroll)
I mean if Alonso's car doesn't break, he can socre decent constructor's point too
Especially since it isn't relied on both drivers to finish high
Haas fucked too because they're generally slow
yeah but if you want to give yourself the best opportunity you want both drivers high up as possible
That's very true
slow but at least they're somewhat reliable
It does help, but it also isn't needed
true, they've finished every race nearly this season with both cars
And pace wise have proven faster than Willliams, Aston, alpine and initially Sauber
It also helps that the car seems to fit Ocon's driving
He's kind of like Max, very aggressive, but the Haas is drivable enough for Ollie to manage too
take notes Red bull
Bearmans only getting better
Haas for 2027 constructor's champion xd
lets just disregard the fact he crashed going into the pitlane
Honestly after the save I saw him pull off with lawson crashing into him in Spain
I was genuinely hooked
Ollie is a class driver
Focused beyond understanding
he's a young veteran in a way
Like how Alonso's an old rookie xd
But yeah
got hooked after Saudi Arabia last year
Your system does benefit the higher finishing drivers than both drivers
made his Ferrari debut, with like a 45 minute practice preparation replacing carlos sainz, qualifies 11th, scores points in p7 on debut ahead of lewis hamilton and lando norris
Not to mention
scored more on himself, than some teams scored in the entire season
and he only raced once
That was truly an incredible display he showed
3 times lol, he raced for haas twice later in the season
once in baku after magnussen got banned, and then in brazil after magnussen was feeling unwell
scored more points in baku in p10, had a tough race in brazil but a lot of people were cause it was that wet
Honestly he's a promising driver
I think all of the rookies are to a great capacity
but still finished ahead of his team mate in Brazil
I think in the coming years, we can see all of these as favorites
As long as Isack Hadjar blocks Red Bulls number
Bortoleto gets lucky with Audi being good out the blocks
Antonelli should come good for Mercedes, and Mercedes are looking good in the new regs. Unless Toto still has his hard on for Max Verstappen
Only questionable rookies are Colapinto and Lawson
Although Lawson just needs his confidence back
Colapinto on the other hand, very crash happy
Doohan should have got until at least the summer break
I feel like Doohan and Colapinto really need a better place to shine
The exotic enviroment at Alpine ruined both of their promise
I am not sure if they'll even return for 2026
Hell, we don't even know if Alpine will be there for 2026
If Doohan gets another chance, it won't be with Alpine. Flavio would rather go do tax fraud again and live in exile than admit he was wrong and give the seat to a driver he sacked, even if he is his manager
Colapinto is a different subject. He had half a season with williams, showed some decent speed but the crashes started coming in
and now with alpine, the speed doesn't seem to be there and he's even more crash happy
think this is it for him when he inevitably gets dropped
Sadly it feels like it
Seeing how Alpine is right now
And given they might not be there for 2026 at all
2026 might be another 10 team grid once more, just alpine replaced with Cadillac
There were rumors about Perez returning with Cadillac
So maybe Doohan can go to Cadillac as well?
Though I do wonder where that leaves Gasly
I feel like someone from the Hadjar, Yuki and Lawson circle might not make it to 2026
And Red bull again employs Gasly, given they missed that opportunity
Are they? Oh well
nope, they'll be the same. won't admit they were wrong about a driver
In that case, my best guess is Gasly and Doohan for Alpine for 2026
Ane hopefully a Williams alike reform?
And Perez and Colapinto for Cadillac
Doohan won't get another shot with alpine probably
I'd say it could be Paul Aron and Gasly
if he doens't it would be unfortunate, and I feel like colapinto might not either
True
since Aron is their reserve atm
So Aron and Gasly for Alpine
Perez and Doohan for Cadillac
for Cadillac, Perez looks more or less confirmed
bottas teases it, but that's just bottas for you
Hehehe
To be honest, it does make some sense
Perez was a promising driver, and semi rookie, like Russel and Norris
So they'll have a decent rookie, and a decent semi veteran
It makes sense
Tsunoda and Colton Herta are names I've seen thrown in for Cadillac
Who knows, maybe they'll pull Mick Schumacher somewehre from the depths of hell
Herta's time may have passed for F1 though
Ricciardo too, but unless its a really tempting offer even Ricciardo said he's done with F1
Ricciardo is a tempting offer
Mclaren broke him, Red Bull crushed him
and RB buried him
Poor man
I know he was perhaps never good enough for a WDC
but he really was upset at how his chances were squandered so often as well
Oh no he definitely was good enough for a wdc, maybe even multiple
Really? What happened at Mclaren then?
he just went to the Fernando Alonso school of decision making
I don't know too much about his period at Mclaren
aka, lack of luck
to be fair, that's nearly every driver from then and now's grid
it's all about machinary
He just couldn't gel with their car. His driving style didn't fit with how he drove, Lando could adapt around it but Daniels way of driving is ingrained in him so by the time he got there he couldn't adapt to the car
Hulkenberg's argubaly an even better driver
but he's content with not being a winner
Really? I mean I know about his crazy stunts
Sending it on the inside
3 car overtake at Baku
Ricciardo pulled off moves nobody would dream about. Even Verstappen
I imagine Riccirado should have done what Alonso and Kubcia did, and also try out other fields of Motorsport, so his talent can finally shine
For years, Daniel Ricciardo has been one of Formula 1's most notorious overtakers! Jump onboard with the Aussie as we look through some of his signature lunges at Red Bull, Renault, and McLaren!

Riccirado and Verstappen really were genetically similar
Regardless
I've seen mixed reception around Ricciardo
I don't wanna say he was bad or anything
But maybe not special enough either
Again, it's all about machinary
Lewis wasn't and isn't anything special
He just had an infinitely superior car
In F1, 90% of the win is due to the car, and 10% due to the driver
But as a famous saying goes in Motorsports and especially F1
"That's just racing"
just watch some of these overtakes
look how controlled he is even though he comes from so far back
I know man
I saw it
But it doesn't mean F1 will forget him either
Jean Alesi, Ruben Barrichelo, they argubaly had an even worse track record than Daniel
but they're still seen as some of the all time greats as well
They'd all be in the same bracket tbh
not all time greats
but like, cult heroes if that makes sense?
nah they're definitely very beloved
Sure their names won't go down in F1 history book
Maybe casual audience won't remember them
But they did more than enough to earn a spot in the hearts of fans
I miss the Kamui Kobayashi DIVES
They were like... Imagine if max Verstappen didn't crash into people sometime
Nico HOOOLKinberg
or
Pieeeeeeeeeere gasleyyyyyyy
Oh god Kamui Kobayashi dive bombs were insane too
hehehe, hard to do with how common his crashes were xd
All and all, F1 is like this, and will stay like this
Some are lucky, some aren't
Kamui Kobayashi bonus (edited/unedited) F1 footage. #小林可夢偉
Goood lord, I hadn't heard of this guy before
But man he's a real piece of kit
Look at that driving
he's pushing inches
this is why toyota have him for wec and hypercar
A shame that their current car isn't a performer
Kamui Kobayashi with a late-diving pass on Ferrari at Interlagos, Brazil #WEC
#interlagos #小林可夢偉
But hey, I am sure he'll get his time in the limelight
it's s scary turn to be able to overtake like that on
Really impressive
there's a reason Toyota made him team principal and let him drive too
Really? he's team princiapl? Impressive stuff
I'd argue that's a bigger victory than any WDC
Because now he's a bigger player than Max Verstappen will ever be in his hierarchy
WDC is all games and fame
While Team principel is serious work
Kobayashi still holds the all time AND wec hypercar lap records at Le Mans
We wont ever see Max become Red Bull's team princpel or anything
Hes AMAZING
Damn
He's definitely the exception to the examples i've seen
Exampels being that Japanese drivers in F1 are rather skilless or unlucky
Kobayashi is direct proof of otherwise
There is no "people from X country are bad at things" stat in any thing. EXCEPT British people are bad at being tourists in Spain
I don't mean bad
Just low on skill or unlucky
And let's be real, there are many examples of Japanese drivers not being able to perform in the sport
Nothing agasint them, just seems like a common example
*british people are bad at being tourists
could have just left it at that
i would say unlucky rather than bad
I bet he partook in JGTC too
Exactly
Takuma Sato, had a few seasons in F1, didn't do too well
Takuma Sato, Toro Takagi
Indycar and the indy 500, he's a monster
kamui did do a couple seasons in super gt 2017 and 18
Do you know what team he raced for?
I assume one of the Toyota teams
Maybe SARD?
i say couple seasons, he did like 3 races
Oh damn, guess it was more a showcase than anything
Racing Project Bandoh in 2017
did a full season in 18
that year he raced with sard
just missed the round at Fuji that year
he'd race for the team they support most directly
Great comeback drive from Kamui Kobayashi, despite mechanical issues ending the 7 Toyota’s victory/title chance. #WEC #toyotagazooracing #小林可夢偉
That poor GR010 keeps getting murdered by the bop and they keep dragging it up the leaderboard every time
he's way too hard on himself i swear to god
Someone needs to give that man a hug
someone needs to get him away from Ferrari
its like an abusive relationship
Charles Leclerc: "I am so fucking shit. That's all I am." 💔
︀︀
︀︀#BritishGP 🇬🇧
yeah get him out that Ferrari
my guy is in an abusive relationship and he can't leave
Sadly no hugs in this tierof sports
But as Lauda said
"I'd like to dedicate this award.. to the losers"
Doesn't seem like there's a better team at the moment for.him
He won't be wanted anywhere
Poor man
But his reaction is familiar to mine
Believable lol
Yeah "believable" if your sources are "trust me bro"
Hahaha
He won't be winning today even if the rain stays
Oh it's raining? interesting
We know. Race pace is shit in the sun, and low downforce is shit in the rain
Everyone knows the mclarens have the best tire deg management and they will probably win on that alone
If verstappen gives us an entertaining 20 laps then it’s a win for everyone that’s watching the race
Hah! Verschoor's lead in F2 has been cut! He's wasting his time by doing a 5th F2 season
That's not rain, that's flood
Man Ruth is such a blessing to this sport
It's quite an interesting balanace
Definitely a factor of driving style
And also track in question
Most tracks usually benefit from a high downforce setup
But tracks with alot of sharp bends and straights, they'd benefit a lower downnforce setup
Hence why the Saubers are so fast on certain tracks
Being able to use their top speed more
Omg one of my twitter followers being interviewed in the F1 grid

I forgot how cringe the Sky feed is
All the F1 fan celebs are being cringe worshiping of brindle, after the hate directed at... Wssit Megan thee stallion?
And they can't stop deepthroating the concept of British drivers winning st home.
Now there's a slow heartbeat sound effect on the sky feed why is it so cringe?
missed what caused the yellow flag? guess lawson stacked it?
He spun but was moving for a bit
yeah looks like he's out completely
It wasn't on the feed
ooft, some on slicks, risking it in this rain
but some places are dry by the look of it
It's dry on 3 quarters of the track. Good gamble
yeah fair point
Colapinto out?
looks like it
Tsunoda forced Ocon into Lawson
Colapinto stalled then and they just said fuck it and retired
Looks like one of those things in the replay. Three cars side by side but the outer two thought it was only two
I am not watching the race
Why is there yellow
And what happened to colapinto and lawson
I need to know
Lawson involved in a crash with ocon and Tsunoda. Colapinto didn't start. Bortoleto crashed on slicks, got moving again, but I think the car is dead after all
yep, looks like gabi's out
Unlucky
ooft, more rain incoming
Make sure Norris ain’t on the podium
Or they will be sweeping Lego bricks until 2026
its ok, he can rebuild it
ooft so far so good racing between oscar and max
max should get him back
unless the McLaren fucks off lmao
which it has done
sky sport italy just said jack doohan will be back in the alpine from spa…
am i hallucinating or did we know this or ???
?
@F1REAKS sky sport uk's been talking about bottas replacing franco 😭
?
They're talking shite like all other sky sources
in hindsight, maybe staying on inters was the best option
Sky will say anyone might be in that alpine next week
Safety car for rain with no one on the wet tires yet? What the fuck people
Well, it might happen
hows lance stroll frauded himself up to p4
wet tires don't exist
it goes inters then red flag
Jacko goes way at Spa
Alonso on the radio was a bit annoyed, understatement
Safety car grand prix lets go
Mercedes best hope of a win
Lance Stroll chilling out in P4 please let it happen
Why are they allergic to the extreme wet tires? It does look extremely wet
Think its cause they throw up so much water and degrade so quick idk
It's a pain. There must be a middle ground pirelli can find
angry max
Who will he punt
oof 10 seconds for Piastri
hulk getting his first podium when
never
He's trying but he's being harassed by Hamilton
i mean get out of the way of hamilton xD
Lewis evidently good enough to do it by himself lmao
Pitiful defence from lance there
don't think we're getting a nico podium unless a massive bottle occurs
amr on slicks? alonso masterclass?
HAHAHAH LOOK AT TOTO
Fear for the headphones
10 second penalty, corner cut
fuckin toto and his flat cap
iseal situation, lando bins it, piastri second, hulkenberg 3rd hamilton w
oh, hulk podium might be off again
Stroll win, hulk P2, Lewis P3 is my dream it would be funny
ooo angry verstappen comes back
imagine the McLarens take eachother out and hulkenberg gets a w for his first podium
oscar asking for the w back lmao
He heard the team fighting it they told him it was unfair lmao
bearmans looking fast
max is past stroll
NICOOOOOO
welp time to uncancel midnight club
turn off landos radio I want to hear Nicos
@turbid ridge the prophecy must be fulfilled
did I miss something?
.
oh right thought there was something else
you could hear the crowd chanting for him

Okay I sadly missed the chance to watch the race
I was busy making dinner
And holy shit, coming back to it, these were not the results I was expecting
This race was so unexpected
We all thought maybe Ferrari could come in podium
But instead, the Sauber came in third?!
I think it's safe to say that out of any car on the grid, the Sauber car's upgrades are the most effective
I'll need to watch race highlights to see what happened, but damn, what happened to Charles, why did he finish so far down the order
bloody hell that chanting is loud
Meanwhile both Astons finished i the points
This is honestly Nico's moment
Since the start of his career, he's always been denied of that podium
Anyone else would have given up, but look at him now, From P19 to P3, in a Sauber of all cars
I think the balance has changed
if this way of things continues, I genuinely expect Audi to be quite a dominant force
king shit
Absolyte legend, definitely mynew found favorite F1 driver
See right here
I already liked him, and now I like him more
THIS is why I wanted him to replace Hamilton at Mercedes
I love how nobody even cares that the mclarens came 1st and 2nd
because everyone knew that'd happen
HUlk was the real winner of this race
And Sauber the real winner of this GP
Hehe, and this is dedicated to everyone who held out hope
Here's what happened to me
I came right in time as the cars rolled into the finisher stands
It's like a racing game
I saw the two mclarens, but the 3rd car was out of the shot
Start dead last and make it all the way to the podium
ive not felt like this since perez win in sakhir man
I was saying "probably the Ferrari" or Max ir something
But no, zooms out, and it's a Sauber
how great it is to see someone finally succeed
Indeed, this is what F1 is about
Not constant domination
But enough hard work to make a podium for the unlikely teams happen
Let's just say, Hulk was always quite good on Silverstone
But this was honestly unbeluevable
FIA is gonna ban him now
pffft
5 second penatly
What happened to Gabriel
Hell, what happened to alot oft he drivers
5 DNFs
he crashed sadly
I hope people don't get too hyped over this, cause now expectations on Hulk may increased too much
I'll need to watch the highliughts when I can
Also, damn.. antonelli crashed again?
This is his 4th DNF in a row
I think it's safe to say nobody else is having as bad of a rookie season as him
oof oscars not happy
hulkenberg is in an alien room to him
HAHAH HE FORGOT HIS HELMET
oscar said on radio that "if i speak i think im going to get banned for the year"
hehehe,
What hapepend
Did Hulk cause something
no no
oscar got a 10 second penalty for essentially nothing
very very debatable penalty
it was really unlucky
that kinda handed norris the win
He braked to get heat into his tires, but just as he did that, safety car period ended and it went green so stewards looked at it as break testing
jesus, that's horrible
Good thing he didn't go any further down than 2nd then
Sadly it happens
POV : Nico Hülkenberg on the podium for the first time since his Le Mans win way back in 2015 seeing all the sights and sounds again.
Did lando just get TWO trophies?
2 trophies and a medal*
Adorable
Millenials and their participation trophies 🤣🤣🤣
But indeed
This is an incredible moment for both Nico and Sauber
This is one of their few podiums in their history
God I can't handle it, Sauber needs to come in point every time every race from now on
if hulkenberg gets a podium he has to come to every race sorry I don’t make the rules

K-Mag is in the house! 👋
︀︀
︀︀#F1 #BritishGP
i saw him in the garage and i was like
is this Kmag?
Ooh spa next but I will missmit I will be at a better race
Even when K Mag isn't in f1 his presence has brought chaos
me rn
apparently charles pitted without getting confirmation from the pit wall, even though he told them way ahead of time
I wouldn't wanna be a Ferrari fan right now
That was proper poor show
I think it's safe to say that we did not expect them to finish like this
pfffft
Ferrari folks just seem so slow, I don't understand why
Exactly
To be honest
Hulk was th real winner of this race
Everyone expected lando or oscar to come first or 2nd
But nobody in hell expected Sauber there
this honestly. when i watched the movie this was the strategy they employed
he used to
He was there today
clarkson complains about f1 all the time but he deep down loves the sport
he always has
It's hard to be a true hater
Even at its worst
it has amazing moments like this
Excellent
Honestly, legendary
Now I'll be honest
I don't know how much of Hulk's win is due to luck or pure race pace and strategy
But man, what a glow up no?
From 2024, to 2025, this team is almost urecognizable
Now everyone finds it cool to be a fan of Sauber
But as I said earlier, while Sauber has been enjoying an incredible time, Antonelli has been having such a rough state
So many DNFs in one season
Well he didn't bin the car, kept the pace high enough to stay ahead of Lewis at the end, and sauber made good calls. F1 is a team sport
Makes perfect sense, it also helps that the actual car's pace has improved so much too
I'd argue the car's sitting comfortably at the top of the mid-field
Dunno if it has, he qualified 19th
That was bizarre to be honest
Also, I just remembered something
Charles Leclerc: "I am so fucking shit. That's all I am." 💔
︀︀
︀︀#BritishGP 🇬🇧
Charles foreshadowed the entire race for himself
I am sad that I didn't get to watch the race
To be honest, that was a rather bad move
Even if his intent wasn't to brake test
It could have ended very badly
You know what this calls for?
Bad day to be Adrian Sutil: he regains the record of the most F1 starts without a podium (128) #F1 #BritishGP
hahaha
Literally never gets old
These two, had such a unique dynamic
The very shy attitude of Nico and Daniel's playfulness
I really hope Daniel sends nico a congrats on twitter or something
And maybe even does the hooooooolkenberg joke
https://fxtwitter.com/F1/status/1941891478361428074?t=lvVpfrAtPYB94qi0YsR5IQ&s=19
listen to the chanting
Suffice to say, Nico has reached Alesi status
This is so cool man
That chanting is pure emotion
Also, I cannnot get over the fact that in that Nico and Daniel video, Nico said "Sag ein bissceh manlich"
"Say it a bit manlier"
I have a question
That graphic that was on screen of Nico in a green room
Is the footage on YouTube?
I cannot find it
I assume every team and driver has such graphics?
Thank you @MercedesAMGF1 💚
Everyone is a Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber Fan right now 🥹
#BritishGP https://t.co/VduJN3cPUy
so happy for this team man
Kick Sauber did not have a single bottle of champagne in their inventory. Aston Martin chipped in first, delivering several bottles of champagne. They were soon followed by Mercedes.
Also, Max Verstappen will be waiting for Nico Hülkenberg to take him home.
@skysportformel1
QRT: Vetteleclerc
"Congratulations on the first podium. - Your Mercedes Team."lovely gesture by Mercedes who prepared a special package for Nico's first podium. https://t.co/QnxkMH10Qa
What a drive that was! 👏👏👏

thanks youtube
Eks should be informed
That's sweet
Hahah
Thats absolutely glorious
I love that there's already animations
im so happy for them. Aston and Mercedes sending them Champagne because sauber didnt have any, Max waiting for Nico for them to go together on his jet, its just a great time for the sauber team
For sure, it's a glorious moment for both a driver and a team that coming in podium seemed impossible up until last year
I hope they can keep this momentum going
if this could happen more than once in a single season
hulkenberg is going to prove to a lot of people how great he truly has been all these years
Indeed, he'd become a legend
More than he already is
It's ironic
Today I was looking at the video talking about the unfortunate status of Hulk's career
And then today, he finished P3
That's just.. wow, it couldn't have been more perfect
Even if not more podiums
More top 10 finishes and maybe even top 5
It'd be epic
Man it's just incredible
I keep remembering when I began watching
The cars had already taken their stands and the 2 mclarens were in shot
And.then the camera zooms out and I see a green sauber instead of a Ferrari or a Mercedes
It's just.. so unexpected
It'd prove the casuals
Cause we always knew he was a great
you need to see the highlights for sure
he held up hamilton in silverstone of all people
its not a feat to brush off
I definitely need to and want to
I also wanna see how 5 cars DNF'ed
Including Antonelli for the 5th or 6th time this season
this the song hulk had in his head during the whole race
https://youtu.be/CXBlOYypDmU?si=qcVveAArpYY6jlkn
I looked at the race highlights
Holy shit
Stroll was 3rd for a majority of the race
Just saying, if he came 3rd, it'd be an equally epic moment
Proving his worth
But Hulkenberg definitely was the better one today
I'm surprised that Stroll is outdoing Alonso so much this season
Stroll didn't even DEFEND against Hulkenberg. Very disappointing
A shame, but he probably want hulk to get that P3 too
I wish Stroll would defend agasint lewis howver
he just went wide and gave lewis the position
You know it's kind of funny
Apparently niki lauda back when Alonso left Ferrari and Vettel joined them, talked about how Alonso was a dark personality and was putting the crew of Ferrari down for their failures and such
While vettel is a bright personality and so on and so forth
And I'm just thinking to myself
"dark personality?"
From Niki lauda?
The same man who was accurately described as an uncooperative one-man-show by every teammate had and every team he ever raced for?
These sort of meaningless statements is what really brings Niki Lauda back down to reality for us
he's as delusional as any other racer who's had too much success
One of the few people to call a Ferrari a shitbox to Enzo Ferrari's face
Exactly, and constantly put down both his teammates and his team for not doing things his way
I hardly find him a fitting judge for a "dark personality"
when he embodies the very thing he was critical of Alonso for
THe same Alonso who overdrove those same lackluster Ferraris to a 2nd in the championship standings
He was the biggest critic of Ferrari's failures in engineering in his own days
Well it's worth noting he hadn't driven competitively in 30 years which gives a lot of time to have matured and examined his own past
Well that's the thing
He should have known his own past not to call a kettle black
Even if older, he never really realized himself
Not to mention, he kept a similar attitude when he worked for the other teams in his older days
It's just the fact that you shouldn't put your heros on a pedestal
No driver at any point of F1, regardless of success, is some omnipotent know-all
So it doesn't mean every word they say should be taken as fact
Niki Lauda above all, a man who's famously made dumb remarks about everything
and is extremely emotional and untactful
looking at the post race interviews
I feel like Lance is straight up broken
Repeating the same lines from every previous race
"Decent strategy", "lots of tire degradation"
Despite having finished above Alonso on merit alone
I feel like it's a similar case with pre-2025 Lando, who was pretty broken from how brutal and hurtful social media was to his mistakes
Even if he finishes decently, he doesn't care
He probably is just tired of racing agasint drivers who he cannot measure up agasint, and he probably doesn't even want to race in F1 anymre
I was looking into understanding the main difference between the old FIA GT2/GTE cars and the current SRO GT2 cars
And using the GT3 cars as a baseline, it's easier to explain
FIA GTE cars deviated more from the base road going car, had more power, nearly 200 over GT3, and also better aero, and were also not as heavily affected by BoP but they had far stricter rule set to follow
SRO GT2 cars, like GT3 cars, are much closer to the road going models, and they do make a bit more power than the GT3 cars, around 100 HP, they have far less downforce, which makes them far slower around circuits
What's the point of having SRO GT2 while GT3 exists? Well
According to SRO, GT3 cars have become so downforce focused that it makes them harder for the more amatuer drivers to get into GT3 racing
back then the natural evolution was from SRO GT4, to FIA GT3 and eventually GTE
Meanwhile, without the existence of the GTE cars anymore, GT3 cars have become far more specialized and also difficult for amatuer drivers to make it into those leagues
Hence the current order is to go from the near road cars of SRO GT4, to the also near road cars but with more power and slightly more downforce of SRO GT2
and then evolve into the current FIA LMGT3 and IMSA GTD
In essence, the current GT2 is the equivalent of the older GT3 regulations, and the current GT3 is the equivalent of the older GTE regulations
real
A moment from the 2025 British Grand Prix press conference where Oscar Piastri humorously questions Nico Hülkenberg about his first Formula 1 podium in 15 years, which was a LEGO podium, highlighting the contrast between traditional racing achievements and modern, playful elements in the sport.
#oscarpiastri #nicohülkenberg #f1
Maybe Oascar deserves the penalty
With the childish behvaior
Regardless, I don't get the point of being teammates and also being in tension
McLaren moment
This is why I don't like this current system
Once there's tension within te team
Any concern for outside the Team disappears and the team.starts to suffer
It's what happened to Red Bull
Maybe it's intentional to make it like this
But I frankly don't see the benefit of having the system be like this
If the teammates aren't actually helping each.other, then it's kind of pointless for the top teams to have 2 drivers
its just a lil joke
but I didnt like the way he said it
Its not just a joke
They didn't even spray him with champagne
Clearly they're both outshined by him
right
I.dont want to say "disrespectful"
But compared to how Gabriel and Max reacted
Or how Aston and Mercedes gave them champagnes
Definitely disrespectful
Indeed hehe
Super Max indeed
Let's be real Max can.get real worked up too
And I'm sure Oscar is just realy angry to be acting like that
Because of his penalty
But It's all about the moment
When it goes way, everything is secondary
on the verge of putting Hulkenberg's podium as my pfp lol
hes goated
I saw him 4th and I was like
has the day finally come??
is he finally getting his first podium??
so cool
And low and behold
It happened
From P19 no less
That's been a constant showing of him these past couple of races
From bottom of qualifying
To top 10
Indeed
Its absolutely incredible
It's truly unbelievable that he's managed what he's managing with the Sauber team
They have come a long way since their 2024 performance
The Audi reveal gonna be insane
its replacing which team?
Sauber
oh thats why
I did, and I feel like audi is going to be a decent contender for 2026 onwards as well
They clearly got a good know how
And their drivers are both promising
Hulkenberg's already raced and won for their LMP team, so they are more than familiar with him to race for Audi
And Bortolleto is very promising as far as rookies have gone to show
Just saying
Old F1 Sponsors were considerably more damaging than any gambling or cash transfer app or social media will ever be
why is honda listed together with cancer and fossil fuels as a bad thing
also gambling ruins lives more than cigarettes do. Cigs you damage yourself only and youre aware of it. Gambling ruins families
Not sure to be honest
I don't know to be honest, I've seen examples of drugs and cigs ruining families too, especially back in the 80s and 90s
https://x.com/sqtep/status/1941897255172329773 @pale tinsel
The phrase "second hand smoke" would like a word
Gambling only ruins families if you have one. Cigarettes harm everyone in an area of effect radius like a God damn RPG weapon
just seen this
"fucking shit. That's all I am"
More than agreed
If only they would
he shouldve never joined ferrari
I don't think he shouldn't have
Obviously every WDC will join Ferrari one day
Including Max in the future
But the problem is, every driver who joins them needs to have authority over them
Michael schimacher won as much as he did because practically rewrote the team
Brought staff with himself
That's what Lewis and Charles need to do as well to have a winning team
Otherwise what they have is just a glorified mid field team
🚨 | Cadillac confirm they are in contact with Mick Schumacher.
Details below:
now i understand why he finished 4th. if ferrari knew where he was during the race he’d have ended up 15th with leclerc

🚨 | Flavio Briatore has reached out to Toto Wolff about potentially signing Valtteri Bottas.
Briatore continues to explore alternative options for Alpine's driver line-up.
[@lastwordonsport]
almost like he grew a few brain cells
And it means we may not have to hear LawVS constantly say "fRaNcO iS iN fOr ThE rEsT oF tHe SeAsOn" for much longer when his golden boy is sacked, Crashapinto glazing is a problem
The Perez and Schumacher combo may be likely
So it's possible
Let it be clear
Bottas is a racer capable of doing as well as many top drivers
however, if he couldn't help develop the 2024 car and team at all with Sauber, i doubt he'll be able to help Alpine much
thats not exactly how it works. We have no idea of the goals or financials of sauber 2024 to compare them to 2025's car. The deal might have been for no upgrades for that year
bottas wasnt just in for 2024 anyway
he did race in sauber before they went to kick when they were still alfa romeo
and he did not have terrible results for the car he was given
development is dependent on many things
Perhaps
I agree, but I also don't expect his presence alone to get Alpine results
this year no, maybe a few points sure. Definitely LESS costs (fewer crashes) and more points than colapinto though
and dont forget
this alpine SUCKS because of the alpine power unit
2026 theyre going with mercedes
so its not a terrible deal for bottas. if cadillac end up not interested in him anyhow
true, that's true
He can help them develop
True, which will likely be better
Also I thought Alpine sucked mostly due to their team's management and such
very interesting
Bottas is a very desirable driver
I deleted it because Zuu already sent that
I tried to send it hours ago from my phone but I had no signal
Don't wprru i am having internet issues too
Guys the F1 movie was bad
Really?
Damn
Most folks have said at least it was "alright"
not bad
I'm going to ask something which is going to sound mean
But I do wonder, do F1 teams actually try?
I mean, think about it
Does it really seem like the engineers, staff and everyone involved of every team, bar the usual top 3 ones, actually put any effort and care into their work?
Cause sometimes I cannot help but wonder how it's possible for such a gap to exist in every period in time
These teams are all supposed to have good engineers and designers, it can't be just that somehow Adrian Newey is genetically superior to everyone else
So what's the actual reason some teams just suck so much compared to the usual top 3 teams
are teams like williams, alpine, sauber or Ferrari actually there to win, or just there to fill a quota
The movie was just messy and made so many absolutely deranged bad decisions
Anyway, the gaps in F1 really are t very big
Are they not though?
Cause sure, the cars are closer now than ever
But like, look at Mclaren
they're so infinitely superior, it just makes me wonder why the other teams don't pack up and leave
Look at Q1 Silverstone. 1.2 seconds between Verstappen and Colapinto
They're never gonna match them
The more I look at F1, the less it feels like a celebration of driver and team prowess, and just which team actually did their homework for the season
Those cars share basically nothing, built from scratch by two entirely different teams of people, and the difference is that small?
Yeah I agree, the differences now are lesser than say in the 90s, but still
And then Gasly was faster than Tsunoda, racing the exact same pair of cars.
Every single person involved is trying absolutely as much as they can
I sure hope it is the case
and maybe it is
But when I see how every season, there's one clearly dominant team, I wonder what the others were doing
I mean sure, not every team is going to have the same budget, resources, tools and etc
but like... that feels like an even bigger reason as to why teams like Ferrari or Mercedes-AMG should dominate more
But they don't
I don't honestly know
Winning builds confidence
But I cannot feel convinced that the same motivation and effort that runs through Mclaren's team runs through Ferrari's or Sauber's
Maybe that's why Sauber is doing well this season, points motivate them
If you try something new and it works, you can keep perfecting that thing, and it gives you the confidence to try more new things, and some of them work
Sauber are also getting mega bucks poured in from Audi
But I feel like they should have plans and such moving forward whether if they lose or win
So it's just a matter of money
THan anything else
I don't know
Yeah but if you try something that fails, the next thing you try is another first try.
If you try something that works, you can focus on making that thing even better because you know the basics already work
True, but that just makes the failing teams' situations worse
Because they try every race and they fail every race
Was it just the lack of realism, hollywood overacting or genuine plot issues
Genuine plot issues. And having to hear the word expensify 1639402815 times
I didn't know what was even a word
A 55 year old whom last year raced in the nineteen nineties is not getting into F1
If you're going to invent a team do not reveal their team building to be the most recognisable building ever built to house a formula 1 team, the McLaren tech centre.
If you're going to have a fictional team owner have an office in the F1 movie, maybe do not put him in front of a McLaren F1 car that is silly, especially when we have footage of his 90s F1 car.
Do not try to pass off brands hatch as not brands hatch, it is iconically hilly and we all saw.
Why spend all your movie time and marketing showing off how true to life and accurate your F1 racing is going to be only to NOT have safety cars on track when drivers are getting out of cars during multi car crashes (VERY plot relevant)
Idk 35 year old actors do exist any one of them would have been better than writing a story around "what if senna hadn't passed away and he came back to F1 like some Messiah"
SPINNING
Bruh that's just so silly
And yeah to ne honest, all of these are very valid problems
I wish they did a normal story
They could've had someone that had a career ending crash in.... Say 2009 come back, that would have worked. They could've shown the team as incompetent and someone with vast experience has actual wisdom to share that is valuable.
Hyundai posted this. Then deleted it
And it's not like they couldn't make up brad pitt to a point where he'd look the more correct age
it's just a silly thing they did
They overdid the plot to make it make sense
But then also underdid everything else
A shame to be honest
bruh, just saying, if Hyundai joins F1, it'll be game over for us all
Touring cars, Hypercars and now F1? Is there anything they won't do? I am sure FIA would be more than pleased to have another large manufactuer partake in F1 however
ai slop?
Ask Hyundai Globals social media team, that posted it on IG. Then deleted
It's definitely a very interesting what-if
And honestly? Doesn't seem impossible
Hyundai has never been more successful
And their motorsport efforts are paying off in every facet they go to
I think they even have a hand in Formula E if I am not mistaken
But they shouldn't stretch themselves too thin
Spyker had a similar failure
TRying to extend their name into every Motorsport, but not being able to handle the costs
Not sayng Spyker and Hyindai are in anyway similar financial situations, but still, examples
they're looking at buying the mclaren entry cause mclarens going after this season
then that may be their next big step, entering Formula E
And maybe eventually entering F1
but those reports were from january, been quiet since then
looks like at the moment the teams just gonna close
Maybe thhey're waiting for them to lower their price further and further
until they can buy it for as cheap as possible
This would be a massive shame. It has been a decent team, they know what they're doing, and they've got the same power train as the current dominant team
I'll buy for a fiver
it is literally cinema
i will never understand f1 movie hate
if you want realism go watch documentaries
its not meant for f1 fans anyway
quite the opposite, its meant to bring more eyes to the sport
I thought it was bad as cinema. It was almost 60% establishing shots, and I didn't like how little the characters really evolved, because they didn't give themselves time to do it, with all the establishing shots of the MTC
so its a typical apple movie
and doesnt deserve to be on the constant spotlight of being shat on
f1 fans are the ones that arent letting this movie die xd
thats my main issue
I have never watched an Apple movie before, are they like notably weird? Did they make others??
theyve made a bunch
but its like netflix movies
its almost like theyre made to be watched on your couch without much thinking
Ferrari has been bopped
That is EXACTLY the vibe omg
The issue is, we know we can have cinematic racing movies that don't lead to us falling asleep
Imagine if this movie had been made by someone who wanted to make a movie, and not charge expensifgaoy 16 million dollars for product placement
It's more than possible
So the fact that this movie falls so far from it, is rather disappointing
Fred Vasseur best character in the movie iykyk
Even street racing movies like Born to race are better in this instance
I haven't seen it so I don't know
Even still, I do hope to see it soon enough
FOr the eye candy if nothing else
The actual racing scenes, the girls, the moments of epic
That sort of thing
Who knows, maybe I'll like it
Fact of the matter is, this movie will bring many new fans to the sport
Where it'll be our job to endorse them
DO you ever notice women xd
Yes, they are perfectly visible, same as everyone else
Yeah it'll probably be worth watching for those couple of scnes alone lol
There's just... Only two women in this movie. Josh Pearce's mum, and Apex GPs tech director
Hehe, I was joking
