They won't, especially now De Meo is out and that could mean Briatore is also out given he's a De Meo hire
Most certainly
I mean it's great that there's more investment in them now, but they also gave birth to that moron, who cost them more in damages than Sargeant or Albon
It definitely feels like whaever money he's bringing in, it isn't enough to justify his driving, so I get it
And really speaking, even other bad pay drivers, usually didn't have this much controversy around them
And who also brings a cult that spams every comment section with messages in Spanish and Argentinian flags, they believe he's Messi for F1
It seems teams, not just F1 teams, want drivers with money over drivers with talent, like unless the talented ones are part of a driver academy, they're basically screwed, thankfully guys like Gabi bring talent, adaptability and good technical feedback alongside significant sponsorship and Sauber are benefitting from that and Nico being a chad
It's a bit of a gamble regardless. Like Eddie Jordan said
"I know Hainz is good, but is he 18 millions good? No"
This sport at the end of the day is all about money
It takes so much money to develop these glorified go-karts
and sometimes teams get screwed over some way or another getting that money
like Williams with Rokkit
To be honest, the fact that Honda partnership requires a Japanese driver
That explains why they make their way into the sport on a sort of national merit
No shame, Honda has a right to display their country's talent as well as their engineering
But I do wonder what it means for Aston Martin in 2026
Alonso is staying, Storll likely isn't
Maybe for 2027 onwards they'll bring in Yuki from Red Bull
Max is apparently coming there
Ironically feels like Aston Martin is becoming the next Red Bull
Adrian Newey, Honda engines, Max allegedly
They’re not. Alpine in any track that requires high top speed suck ass. Because their alpine/renault engine is the worst on the grid
I disagree. Tsunoda has always been backed by Toyota. Honda isn’t the reason he’s driving for Red Bull.
Also it’s the absolute last year of the Redbull Honda partnership that has been there for many years. If the contract required a Japanese driver then you would have seen Kobayashi in a Red Bull before tsunoda made it into F1
I'd neeed that lol
Fair enough, but it probably does favor Honda that they have a Japanese driver currently as wel
We'll see how it affects Aston
You know what that glass reminded me of?
isnt that the one that got DSQ? lol
I KNOW RIGHT?!
This poor artwork was made before the car was disqualified, so it makes its creation all the more ill-timed
I know this will probably sound random and out of place
But I personally think Jordan F1 team had some of the best colors and designs out of any F1 team during their period and even to this day
Kind of unusual how rare yellow F1 cars are
And more unusual that not many, or any really, have picked up after Jordan
But the combination of Yellow and black, and the fact that the yellow was a near permenant color of the team, made them one of if not probably the biggest stand out team of their period
I know technically speaking Jordan is Aston Martin now
But I really hope the team and name Jordan can return one day
Makes me appreciate Renault from the 2017 period more as well given they were running basically Jordan's colors
And these concepts that people make only further evoke the Jordan and Renault Sport memories
I really don't get why Siegel is having to apologise for swearing on the radio for being angry, there's stupidity and there's full deluded, I thought IndyCar was better than this
And I thought IndyCar wasn't governed by the FIA
Besides he's not the first nor the last to get angry at Penske, regardless if it's the team or Roger himself, there's plenty of people who'd have a lot to say to him
maybe i was too harsh on Pierre Gasly

At last weekend’s @24hoursoflemans, the #Porsche factory team completed 1,159 laps. For every lap, Porsche donates 500 euros to support ill children. This year’s effort raised 579,500 euros, which Porsche has rounded up to a total of 600,000 euros. More: https://t.co/kaGX479x3m
More Crashapinto glazing from LawVS alert!
I don't know what races he's been watching but this whole Charade of glazing Crashapinto is really bad, he genuinely thinks Crashapinto will be in the car at Silverstone after his trial period is "over"
They should pull Mick Schumacher from the WEC program and put him in the Formula 1 car
only one desperate enough to hop in an alpine seat
but im fairly sure palpatine has another young driver in mind to test
Paul Aron is next on the chopping block
then he'll re-sign Victor Martins
Somehow throw in Ryo Hirakawa
Gabriele Mini
Kush Maini for the memes
And just like that Mirko Bortolotti jeeds to find another job
︀︀
︀︀8 red flags ignored... EIGHT
I mean this is just fanboy syndrome at this point
Paul actually has guts compared to Crashapinto, and was miles ahead of him in F2 regardless of Crashapinto's call up to Williams
I thought Law was better than this, I mean sure Oscar glazing, that's fine because he's actually talented, Gabi glazing, sure, he's actually a generational talent
But Crashapinto glazing? He's legit joined the cult at this point and is wanting him to succeed whilst the rest of us who are actually sane, want him to fail in a big way, hopefully he'll be out once Briatore is out now that De Meo is out
Alpine choked it, especially as she is quite consistent in GB3, yes she's in 17th currently but she's only been out of the points twice, that's it and she's been signed to Nissan's FE team as a rookie and simulator driver
Nissan is THE formula e team of the moment, Rowland nurtured the career of other FE pro Taylor Barnard. Hopefully Abbi keeps moving forward
How they've managed to do what they've currently whilst the company is on its knees, nice one Renault and Nissan's previous CEO to their current one, the fact they can do this in FE whilst Renault can't even bother replicating that with Alpine in F1 shows which company should be in which series, Nissan in F1, Renault back in FE with Alpine, and Nissan can handle having Abbi Pulling, the first woman, Alpine and Renault couldn't, and it's cost them
The first and only woman
FE is a MUCH smaller engineering project than F1, and Nissan have been building EVs longer than anyone else involved in Formula E. Makes sense that they're on the ball
Whereas Renault in F1 are not, the fact Nissan can do it in a small series whilst in money troubles whereas Renault with a bigger kitty can't in a bigger series is paramount that Team Enstone will want to forget this saga very quickly once Renault eventually decides to sell its stake in the F1 team because let's face it, Alpine Mercedes doesn't quite fit even if Renault and Mercedes work together for normal road cars
it was 9
after all
Some more Ferrucci glazing from Townsend Bell, he shows no impartiality at all, at least Hinch is impartial when about Rossi
Oh my god Dan Ticktum just won the Formula E race in Jakarta?!
@granite tangle @glacial pine @pale tinsel I hope this message doesn't bother you, but I really wanted to talk to the fellow fans and those who understand this sport about my experience
Playing F1 Challenge '99-'02, it became kind of clear to me why F1 is the way it is
I chose to do a championship with the Jordan 199 car for the 1999 season, and even do I am running only 87% AI strength, in certain cases it's really hard to keep up with the Ferraris and Mclarens in this car
On one hand you have Michael Schumacher in the Ferrari
And then you have Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard in the Mclarens
All of whom are extremely capable drivers, and are driving the fastest cars
The Jordan car in real life in the 1999 season was sort of a mid-field car
it could win certain races, but it usually would have score 5th or 6th on average
And driving it in the game, it definitely becomes clear as to why certain teams win so much
Driver skill paired with such superior cars, it is no wonder these other cars couldn't win
I have to run extremely good setups to be able to beat the others
I can usually come first, but in certain races like the Hungarian Grand Prix, I just couldn't match the others
They all have such better cornering speeds, and Hungary's track is nearly all medium speed sweeping turns, unlike others which usually have 2 or 3 chicanes, and a few sharp brake heavy turns
The Jordan car just understeers
Even running a great setup, I couldn't do better than 3rd
And I ended up letting my teammate pass me at the end because he was overall faster and was glued to my back the entire 2 final laps
And so I finished 4th and he finished 3rd, his first podium may I add
All and all, I understand Motorsports much better now thanks to this game, and I understand now why F1 is the way it is and why it is so endearingly loveable
Also, I've realized something over time
The fact that nearly every team is a junior team for another team nowadays
Back then it was less likely due to the teams being less connected, but nowadays it is far closer
I mean Haas and Sauber are essentially junior teams for Ferrari
Williams is the junior team to Mercedes-Benz and Mclaren
Alpine and RB are junior teams to Redbull
Aston is either like Williams, or will be like Redbull
Guys look closely at the list
Am I missing something?
Lance Stroll obviously the goat for doing it so fast in a car that wasn't capable of winning races
The dacia is ALREADY in the pits broken down the formation lap isnt even half way round 😢
Top job by him 👏
Rather impresssive
I still don't know what to think of Stroll
He's probably the most indecisive racer on the grid with how extreme opinions about him are
you either love him, or you hate him. no inbetween with him it seems
i started liking him, but only because jacques villeneuve was on his ass so much and i didn't like jacques villeneuve
but watching him over the years barely improve while other drivers miss out
yeah its a solid hate
And then in 2025 he's the only Aston driver with any consistency at all...
He's a strange driver to follow
It's hard to argue with the reasons to hate him
He's been in the sport for so long, longer than most current drivers, and he's improved so little that it makes you wonder if he's even trying
And it wouldn't be so bad if there were more F1 teams, but there aren't
His occupying a seat which could easily go to other promising upcoming talents and drivers
But an easy one to hate I suppose
I don't wanna put Lance down completely, he's clearly talented enough to every now and again drive akin to the likes of legends in Formula 1
Hell, he was the only driver to overtake in this year's monaco
But it just makes no sense how he manages to do that, and then manages to do basically nothing inthe rest of the races
I suppose it wouldn't hurt so much either if he was say in Haas or Alpine, because nobody expects anything from those teams' drivers and cars either
But at Aston, especially 2025 Aston which can score points after 2024's travesty
Just feels like he's pushing others chances away
THat is quite unfortunate
You have no idea what just happened xd
I saw this clip of Bador, got sad for him, so i decided to give him some justice in F1 challenge
I put AI to 90% strength, loaded Monaco, and did a fast qualifier which got me 2nd, right behind Schumacher
and I managed to overtake him in the first turn, while the pitcrew kept telling me how apparently others in the back had some problems and lost wings and such and retired or went into pits
seems perfect right? Win at Monaco for Badoer, to give him some justice
Howveer, last lap, at the first turn I went a little too wide and the back of the car hit the barrier a bit too hard, and the engine blew up
The car was smoking for alot of the race too, or maybe it was tire smoke
and that was it, I managed to not be able to finish the race either
Now that is truly some shit you cannot make up
Even when i try to win and I am so close, the world hates Badoer so much that this happens
I've never blown the engine in this game, so I am amazed I somehow managed it
pffft
They say it has a megane rs engine...
I wonder if it can even keep up with the scirocco out there then..
Bad news for all you Logan fans out there: one of its cylinders is kaputt. The team are working to fix it 🤞
I cheered watching it head out for the formation lap
The Logan lives! Shout out to everyone at Ollis Garage for fixing the Dacia.

It’s racing in the 24H of Nurburgring but I think it’s in the works class which doesn’t have a regulation set
Ah it's in the lower classes then
Makes sense
Rather cool seeing it.go
and me
Seen
Logan is ahead of that widebody beetle that qualified so far forward
Pffft
I'm amazed
it's kind of ridiculous looking back on older race cars
And realizing how 9 out of 10 of them were sponsored by a cigarette or tobacco maker
They had to make you think they're cool enough you forget you're giving hem your life savings in exchange for cancer 👍
Absolutely
And they still do it, just with other life ending miseries
Like stocks and crypto and gambling
It's kind of crazy how much money there is in Tobacco business
Arguably they owned F1 from 60s to 90s
And motorsports in general
While they did look good, they definitely were harmful
I really wish more helpful and useful brands would sponsor F1 and sports teams
Rather than the most destructive and corrupt businesses out there
But I guess the world isn't very positive in that direction
Good on Honda for trying in 2008
Honda Earth Car my beloved
It wasnt the best design
And it was a faintly ridiculous message given the nature of F1
But hell, it's for once a positive representation on a motorsport car
Sponsored by a earth itself
Glad you also see it like that
Actually I actually once generated a picture of a racing suit which had its title sponsor be "Oxford Helix"
They make calculators and rulers and pens and other schoolwork tools
Which it is kind of ridiculous, Bic was a sponsor on the Prost car back in 1999 and 2000, so it's not too ridiculous
Bic is an absolutely HUGE name in France specifically though
I wish Honda took their environmental branding and backed it up with the scientifically best options for helping solve the CO2 problems but oh well
It probably would have worked well if their Hybrid period engines for Mclaren didnt destroy their reputation
It's also a huge name here actually, so I fully understand the significance
Helix Oxford isnt too small either
It's under the Oxford University actually
I believe at least
Regardless
I do wish the world of sponsorships could be kinder
And this sport as a whole being less costly
I actually don't understand why Formula 2 and others don't have a similar formula
Every team is their own works team
Just have an even smaller cost cap than F1
Cause I think.every series bar F1 is mostly spec
The sheer expense
Most of the F2 teams aren't far manufacturers in their own right it would turn the sport on its head.
Being a Spec series or a Formulaic series or a BoP series is a decision that has to bae made, depending on what you're trying to achieve.
Yeah I can understand
This sort of sport demands money
A constant and large sum of income
And changing that changes the entire complexion of the championship. Look at the way becoming a BoP series changed the LMP1 grid from an engineering powerhouse project, where the most impressive machines could be constructed to meet the formula, to a BoP series that has people suspicious that certain teams get special treatment, and our cars torque curve is being altered race by race by the FIA
And indeed
Balancing via BoP and cost caps has made people suspicious
It's honestly kind of hard to tell anymore what's what
I suppose I wish I was richer and or more connected to be able to.get a share of this
Honestly id love to run my.own team
Maybe one day?
Maybe...
I suppose it's a very difficult task
And it demands much dedication if I truly want to achieve it
Meaning my current studies won't contribute
Who knows, maybe one day I can do it
Maybe I won't
But I know that I'll always have an idea and a dream
Away from gloom and doom for a moment
Man, the Prost car was pretty
Blue was probably the most common color for a F1 car
But the Prost car despite its simplicity does stil look good
One thing I could rely on could be my government actually
Many racers in F1 have an entire country cheering for them
Which leads to more television and revenue for the show runners
Not to mention, more tracks to add to the calendar
I could be the first Iranian racing team in F1, entering Iranian drivers and maybe there even coming to be an Iranian GP circuit
Lando Norris wanted to know whether Lance Stroll can still wank after the fractured his wrists😭🤣🤣

...
I'm amazed I didn't know about this xd
It would've worked for FE, but it was a cool set of liveries even if the cars weren't great
Indeed
I need to ask
Is Carlos Sainz a good driver?
he's driven for many top teams, but he never seemed like a top performer
Plus, his wins are few
I imagine over time he'll be seen like Jean Alesi, a top contender which wasn't top enough to score too many wins
Or ever be a WDC contender
wouldnt say many top teams, plus in ferrari it was pretty clear he was no2
hes a good driver, not a generational talent but he is good
people definitely didnt expect him to stuggle so bad in williams
especially considering albon's reputation (he got completely torn by the community in that redbull season he had to go against max)
Yeah Albon was a surprise hit, given as he struggled with Red Bull but is now crushing it in Williams, almost always in the top 5 for alot of the races
I suppose he really is like Jean Alesi
A good driver, never a contender for a WDC however
And a limited number of GP wins
And also weirdly beloved by fans
could be
its not like hes old tho, you never know who might be a contestant for a wdc
i mean look at 2025
we have piastri and norris, tell that to someone 3-4 years ago and they'll call you insane
True, but Mclaren were pretty good last year as well
So it was clearly coming
No team that Sainz ever joins seems to have that potential
Williams seems to be doing better now than it ever has in the last decade or two
But I don't know if Sainz can get a WDC with them
Piastri and Norris were a surprise, but it really goes to show how much a better car makes the difference
Hell, it makes me wonder if all the WDC's were always thanks majorly to the cars or not
🚨 | Turkey's Istanbul Park has been in negotiations with F1 for some time.
Depending on how F1's talks with other tracks progress, Turkey could be in contention for a return to the calendar.
[@lastwordonsport]
Fave looking nurburgring 24h car this year?
Ollie's brother Thomas just got his first win in British F4 today at Oulton Park
We've had a head on collision at the Glen between two LMP2s!
Always the LMP2s
I'm gonna call the one LMP2 at Le Mans the Batmobile because it lost its wheel
That head on collision resulted in one of them without a windscreen, I wish I was joking, at least the wiper still worked...
The 963s are nowhere, that early season advantage has somewhat come back to bite them
Well, the 60 ARX-06 has won, for now as there's uncertainty over how much it had as it reached the chequered flag
Just try to imagine one of the most chaotic finishes in motorsports that you can think of and then watch this. 😳😅🫣
bottas is such a troll man
love that guy
wtf lmao
twingo on top
https://x.com/E1GHTYONE/status/1937380479025787055 @severe spindle hopefully youll find this funny
felipe drugovich is fuming rn
Isn't Drugovich already the reserve driver?
and joined the amf1 academy a couple years ago
and still is part of it
so dunno why they're relaunching their academy
Well if they're taking on Honda engines they lose their connection to the mercedes young driver program, and Lance Stroll will retire from old age eventually.
They don't rely on Mercedes' junior program for their driver pool but because they have Mercedes engines for now, they have an option to call up either Bottas or Vesti in case Drugovich or Vandoorne aren't available
I was meaning more... Like operationally. A Merc reserve or young driver, especially if they've done a few FP1s or driven as a reserve, will struggle to jump into the Honda Aston more than they will right now while it's a Merc engine
pffft, I think it'd make everyone happy if we did bomb it lol
I've been playing alot of F1 Challenge in my spare time
And I can safely say
I am no good around the Hungaroring
“At the end, I stayed [in RBR] for six years.”
“But it was four, no?”
“Yes, but I made them paid me for six.”
Sergio Michel Pérez Mendoza, you are hottest mf in the world and I respect you madly.
king shit
I get that it is primarily for the sake of simplicity and access for nearly all teams to be based in England
But seriously? Can't they spread out a little to maybe make it a bit less biased towards them
It's like the sport is owned by Britain
It is a British sport, the first race in 1950 was at Silverstone, the best minds in motorsport in Europe are in the UK, and that area, the triangle between London, Birmingham and Bristol is the ideal hotspot for any motorsport basis anywhere in Europe

it's kind of sad honestly
Makes me wanna cheer Ferrari on more for always being in-house
that's sad
To be fair, this video explaining this way makes alot of sense
No other driver ever managed to be insanely successful with various teams
Helped out Jordan, won with Benetton, brought Ferrari back into the limelight, and helped Mercedes
Nearly every other driver who ever achieved nearly as much success either got lucky with others having developed the cars and teams for them
Or by sticking to one particular team as it was
i mean, he raced 1 race with jordan and kinda screwed them to jump ship to benetton, but aside from that
Oh he did? I didn't know, I thought he did decently at Jordan
But I suppose if he screwed them by joining benetton it is a shame
1 race, burnt the clutch of his car and retired
tldr, his manager noticed some wording in his jordan contract promising him A f1 seat, not necessarily with jordan
Goddamn, that's horrendous
But even still
ignoring the Jordan situation
His accomplishments really do speak alot for his skill
The fact that he managed to win the odd race or two in even bad cars
Yeah well being in house isn't in fashion anymore especially the best engineering talent isn't in Italy or Switzerland or anywhere in Continental Europe
Ooooh, interesting
So that's maybe what led to it
It's kind of unfortunate
I wish this sort of thing would be as world wide as the tracks they race on
Here's a verbatim of the letter Michael sent to EJ
"Dear Eddie,
I confirm that if you enter me in the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix I will sign the driver agreement with you prior to Monza in respect of my services in 1991, 1992, 1993 and subject to Mercedes’ first option, 1994. The driver agreement will be substantially in the form of the agreement produced by you with only mutually agreed amendments.
I understand that PP Sauber Ltd will pay you £150,000 per race for 1991.
I also understand that you require 3.5 million dollars for both 1992 and 1993 and if I or my backers are unable to find this money you will be entitled to retain my services in those years.
Yours sincerely
Michael Schumacher"
the driver agreement became a driver agreement
that change got michael out of Jordan and into Benetton for the next race
If you want to read an article on it

Ford Schumacher
The UK's Motorsport industry is strong, all the best talent in engineering is there, the likes of Ferrari and Sauber/Audi could hire those but that involves too much logistical challenges especially if those engineers have families, that involves change in school and language, why do you think Audi are opening up a base in the UK that'll cooperate with the bases in Switzerland and Germany, it means the talent can still live in the UK and make gains that could benefit the team, Haas and Cadillac recognise that, why do you think they have secondary bases in Banbury and Silverstone respectively, you wouldn't expect the people they've hired to move to America and that's a whole different thing entirely
I know I know
But i do want those teams to be able to be where they are
So they hire the upcoming talent and skill from where they are
UK's oversaturated
but F1 isn't about new stuff anymore either
just about sure fire ways of finding a win
It's not
What year has Haas' car been the best out of all their years of competing?
From 2016 till now, which of their cars has been the best in comparison
Judging by qualifyings and results
The thing seems dislodged
What
hes acting like he didnt see the post above (hes coping about ferrari being competent)
Ooooh
pfft
One shining light of this weekend is that it's the final weekend of the 5 race trial for Crashapinto, knowing De Meo is gone which makes Briatore's axing more imminent which should hopefully mean the Crasher's won't be too far away, he's barely done enough, hopefully Law VS eats his own words when he realises that Crashapinto glazing isn't good for you
Here's hoping
Argentina's support ain't enough to justify the crap they go through cause of hik
The thing that differences him from The Race is that The Race have facts to back up when Crashapinto hasn't done enough
Whereas Law just glazes him, I don't know what races he's watching but Crashapinto certainly hasn't impressed
you know that suspension yeah?
might not be ready until spa

Oh dear
Ferrari in ritardo
Could be worse, they could be Alpine
Alpenis
Xd
Carlos and Alonso had me DEAD 🤣 🤣
#f1 #grillthegrid #estebanocon #f1clips #yukitsunoda #landonorris #carlossainz #f1funny #fanamp
The way Sainz said "OOLONSO" xd
Learning more about ocon, it's kind of amazing honestly
He managed to be an obstacle to every teammate he ever had
made Alonso's life at Alpine miserable, and was eventually dropped due to fucking Gasly up
I wonder if it's the case with Bearman too or not
Probably not because Bearman is the 2nd driver this time, unlike him who is first driver of the team
fucking gasly up more like exposing him xd
ocon is a better driver than gasly the reason they sacked him was 100% because gasly is their talent and is going to stay no matter what
ocon is very hard working and hates losing thats why hes a hassle to every no1 driver he was up against
I don't know, some of his on-track behavior really didn't paint the image of a better driver
He was like a Verstappen without the skill
Nobody likes losing, but nobody likes being fucked over by their teammate either
if you think ocon doesnt have skill then you absolutely need to study up on him
hes one of the very few drivers that are on f1 on pure merit alone
but it does
if he doesnt have the skill
and he doesnt have the money
why does he have a seat then
If you're in F1, I already view you as a certain above level of skill ceiling
no team would need him
but he really shined in that renault, and really is overdriving that haas now
THat seems like a bold claim
I hate it when people speak with confidence
Makes it impossible to "argue"
Regardless, even if I wanna appluad Ocon for his skill of being able to get to where he is on merit alone
I cannot appluad him for fucking over every teammate he's had
well im very confident about it because ive seen him win in a renault xd
Only thanks to Alonso
And Ocon ended up making such an impression with him, he'd rather not speak of him at all
Despite handing him a win
Esteban is a talented driver and is maturing very well and feels like a new man at Haas
That's the thing
Many good drivers have come and gone into F1
But not all of them were good overall
Ocon has fucked up every single season he's been in thanks to not understanding how to do teammate
Like you said, only now he's maturing into his role
Ironicaly now that he's the number 1 driver of his team, and hasn't got to worry about his teammate
It's like calling Red Bull a good team when only one of their drivers knows how to drive their car
Yeah sure it's good when Max drives it, but it means it's pretty shit when nobody else can drive it
Ocon is a good driver only as far as driving speed, not a good driver in terms of how he contributes
Until he actually wins a WDC, he'll never be seen as such either
Red Bull should probably get Ocon, seems like a perfectly unstable driver for a perfectly unstable team
You act like he doesn't know how to mature, he's thriving there at Haas, him and Laura get on so well like a house on fire
And you act like that isn't extremely recent stuff
And the fact that eh only reason he's matruing at haas is because his teammate is a permanant backmarker
Regardless, his pure driving skill was never the main question
But rather how he can use it to contribute to the team
i hate these types of arguments cause then not a single midfield driver's wins would matter. For Ocon you can further discount it because what IF Bottas didn't "accidentally" try playing bowling with the 2 redbulls on the first lap?
I can, and I really should
because context always matters
when you dont have the car you have to get somewhat lucky to get a top 3 especially a win
Regardless
I can't take his win away from him
Whether if it was handed to him or earned
Racing is very luck based
But I can take away from him the fact that he has been a horrid teammate
ollie and isack are the top 2 performing rookies this season
if you think ocon's teammate is weak then that means he might be that guy XD
I realize Oliver is doing what he can, but he clearly isn't anywhere near Ocon's level
He's a 2nd driver at the end of it
Mainly there to bring up the backend as much as he can
He's a rookie, like that's just being dumb at this point
maybe score a point or two if he can
You know who else is a rookie?
so thats like asking bortoletto to score points
or saying hes bad
when his metric is hulkenberg
Fair
ofc they wont be near their counterparts and if anyone is going to score points its the veterans
but not because of favoritism
more on experience
Of course
Regardless
I don't like ocon much
There's aggressive, and then there's too aggressive
But alas, if he can drive the Haas car for points, then he's already punching well above his weight
I guess Im at fault now
It's 2 vs 1 here, so yes
Go fuck yourself
Nothing that comes out of your mouth is worth a damn
Well, stop acting like Ocon doesn't know how to mature
He can and is maturing
Somebody once said something in a video about Danica Patrick which is something I'll keep in mind
"Even when you're the worst of the best, you're still way above the rest"
So in Motorsports, and F1, terms
It means while drivers like Nikitia Mazepin, Nicolas Latifi, Franco Colapinto or Lance Stroll, are considered the worst of their sport, they're still considerably above most other drivers or average folks
This driver wasted her career!

Interesting how the world of Stock car racing and Indycars works
Just saying, with her sort of skill, she's lucky she never got that chance into F1
She'd probably seriously injure both herself and some other drivers
Norris is drinking Monsters and Piastri is eating three people's portion of food while Brad Pitt is out here putting in the work between race weekends. Really puts into perspective who has the championship mentality out here.

its the brian scalabrine metric
Hahaha
God this movie is ridiculous
basically if you dont know him he was according to people the worst NBA player of all time
Who?
and people were saying they could beat him his entire career
Oh yeah he was mentioned on the video
Yeah he's said to be a worst nba player
he was a benchwarmer that won a championship essentially
Yet no normal.player could beat him
so he made a challenge and accepted every invitation of people who thought they could beat him 1 on 1
he won every single one barely getting scored on
Yup
and then finished off by saying that he is closer to Kobe Bryant than the average person is to him
and he was right
Mmhm
The same applies here
Even the worst F1 driver of all time is still way above a certain degree of driver level
Crashapinto looks to be in the car for Silverstone unfortunately
Gonna go see the F1 movie tomorrow I think
@granite tangle https://fxtwitter.com/racingdriver11/status/1937965626049618102?t=3lbKw_aCPbcMAe7i0bs0eQ&s=19
how do you know this parts definitely not true to f1?
max would not have backed out of the left turn in the chicane
I honestly hear so many mixed things about this movie
Suffice to say, this isn't like Ford V Ferrari where basically everyone loved it
Well they definitely didn't downplay his speed at least
I really hate how cookie cutter this movie seems to be from its teasers and trailers
Throwing in whatever they can just to make it more appealing and open to the average joe
It's really an illness where they don't wanna portray the actual reality of the sport
They either overplay, underplay or just straight up ignore it
I really wish this movie wasn't just called F1
Because calling it that is like trying to say that this is the be-all-end-all movie regarding F1 of all time
Should have had a subtext
https://x.com/espnf1/status/1938156018053374364?s=46 @pale tinsel maybe it’s time to change sport
Ferrari has announced its entry into the world of sailing with a Hypersail project
Ferrari would drown the sailors
Must be the water
I'm sticking with wec until they fuck that up
then I'll go to sailing
then I'll beg then to join Moto gp
Franco Colapinto only wants to be associated with brands "that are close to the people" and "present in everyday life".
https://www.planetf1.com/news/franco-colapinto-everyday-life-brand-association-not-ferrari
@pale bridge
might get some entertainment out of this
Guy who's probably never gonna drive again after this season thinking he's "too good" for Ferrari
Formula 1 cars should have 2 seats from now on so that when a bad driver comes along they can just put his mom in the car
They should join BTCC
Or resurrect the FF
Well they do make a standard Crossover now, so it's more than possible now than ever
He's less of a commoner than Victoria Beckham
He's such a fraud, he probably benefits off ripping off poor people with the likes of Mercado Libre
Ferrari has more in common than him, and they always will have
Another F1 driver I want opinions on
Nico Hulkenberg
Some say he's one of the main losers of the sport
Though recently he's been pulling some uenxpected moves with the Sauber car
So I am willing to think he isn't a loser
Plus he's German, like Schumacher, so he has a crazy hairstyle like him too
What they mean by "main losers" is that he could win races or even a championship if his cars weren't buns
Ah, so that's what they mean
So Nico is a contender for a title, if his equipment would allow
Or at least more wins in his career
It means bad luck more than anything
Kind of like Daniel Ricciardo then
Ironic, given they were teammates as well
I mean if someone like Nico Rosberg can do it, so can Hulkenberg
That's why I was hoping he'd get Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes seat
I'm not sure why he didn't
I guess it's all timing, and Antonelli seemed like the more favorable option
And Russel does seem ready for a title as well
Instead Toto resorted to just short of child labor
Not that that's anything new anyway
Pretty sure Alonso was 17 when he started
Well it's inevitable, Antonelli was indeed a promising rookie
And they have to bring in new talent into every season
And since Hulkenberg never raced for any top team, probably didn't even cross Toto's mind to pick him
It's a really unfair sport honestly
I used to think the gap between the different team's cars wasn't that severe
One or two session with F1 challenge proved to me that there's indeed an immense sum of difference, and pure skill cannot make up that difference
If you're not racing for any top team, you're already out of luck for a title
I didn't pay much attention to lap times until GT Sport
And around that time I realized one second makes a whole lot more difference than it seems
For sure
The qualifier means alot
If you start top 5, you have a chance at scoring a podium
If you start mid-field, you're either gonna crash or you're finish mid-field
And if you start at the back, you'll finish mid-field or last
And indeed, the difference doesn't seem noticable until you play with cars and see how much it makes a differnece
At the moment, I think it's afe to say that in terms of pure driving skill, Max Verstappen is the best driver on the grid
And proven by the fact that he's overdriving what is otherwise not a top contender car
but the Mclarens? They're soooooo much faster
Put a half decent driver in one, and it'll be easy wins
The new shitbox whisperer
There really is no in-between these cars
There's no "near equal machinery" in F1
You're either so much faster, or so much slower
I mean in the 1999 season alone
you had drivers like Jacque Villeneve, which had won a WDC himself
But because he was driving for the new BAR team, he was near dead last
It really often isn't about working for a win
But rather being handed one
BMW and Williams paired up in Formula 1 at the start of the 21st century with sky-high ambitions, yet after six years together and only one meaningful shot at the championship, they split with BMW buying Sauber for 2006. So how did it go so wrong? In this video we look at the key reasons BMW Williams couldn't make the step from decent frontrunne...
So Montoya and BMW Williams were a serious contender for 2003
A shame reading how it unfolded
BMW seems quite unlucky with F1
Either when.they supply Williams and get fucked by the arrogance of the team's owner
Or when they get into a Sauber seat with potential rhat was forsaken because they gave up on 2008
Robbing Kubica of contention
And then they pretty much disappeared completely from F1
But if nothing else, they were in the sport in its best years
They got to play with the best toys and faces
@pale tinsel it’s fucked https://x.com/scuderiafemboy/status/1938520780725461062?s=46
Hey look, the user's name is the same as mine lol
what about the @
That';s accurate to me too xd
Ayrton Senna was a 3 times World Champion Driver and he got a Lego set in his honor
but then the 2nd toy they followed him by was... Nigel Mansell?
I get that the 1992 Mansell win was something pretty speculator, especially for Mansell who had already been in the sport for so long, and should have won more given better equipment with his immense skill
But the fact that they followed Senna with Mansell of all drivers was a rather interesting move
Could have done Alain Prost, Niki Lauda or hell, Michael Schumacher
All I can guess is that they're going year by year
a set in honor of Senna 1988 win, his first world championship
and a set in honor of Mansell 1992 win, his first and only world championship
Who knows, maybe the next one will be the 1994 Schumacher Benetton set
Well that is an interesting take
They'd be mad not to be interested. Max is pretty good
Never let yourself care too much about merchandising, brand deals, or advertising.
Lego already has sets with Michael Schumacher from when he was driving
Quite a few actually
They’d also be mad to ditch Antonelli tho…
Or Russell...
But after multiple championships, Lewis and Max have the sway to make that happen
There were tallks of him
There wre talks about him join Aston too
True.. true.. I shouldn't get too attached
This is today’s news so the talks are current
Indeed, the news have always been around
But I suppose now they feel much more concrete
I don't know if Max will stay with Red Bull for 2026, so Mercedes or Aston do seem likely
Especially aston with the Adrian Newewy and Honda power plant basically making them Red Bull 2.0
Ruben Barrichelo's crying after his winning of the first race of his career, plus it being a home race, was so emotional
I nearly cried myself watching him unable to stop
Mercedes team mates George Russell and Kimi Antonelli are next up for It Takes Two! How do you think they will get on?

"Do you know what we're doing today"
Kimi's dead pan 1000 yard murderous stare
Crashapinto isn't even making Q2 today, 16th, 20th and now 19th in FP3
Christ almighty
Michael Schumacher was always quite the troll lol
You'd be forgiven for not thinking he was German xd
Roll over and red flag in the F2 Sprint
Fk!
Crashapinto is in Q2, fk!
Hopefully he's not in Q3, if he doesn't get Q3, he'll hopefully get fired because he is a failure
Red Flag for the grass catching fire
Ha! He doesn't make Q3! Yes!!!!
Gabi Q3!!!!!
I swear this only stared happening 2 years ago!?!
It happened in Suzuka and Shanghai, not in the same years though
By the way
Austria qualfier
Liam lawson faster than Max? That's quite a surprise
It seems like this race might be between the Ferraris and mclarens
Also, Sainz, Ocon and Tsunoda and Hulkenberg all slwoer than Lance Stroll
Has something happened with Sainz recently? I remember him from the days when he'd come top 5 nearly all the time
But since the Williams joining he's been struggling it seems
Much more so than Albon
Or is it the case of Fernando Alonso, where a great driver is being given very crappy tools
The Williams cars have to be the most inconsistent this season
They can come both dead last and also top 5
starting grid for Austria
The Williams is apparently SUPER sensitive to track layout, when comparing it's pace to the competition. They've said this a lot this season
That might explain why things are thw way they are
Because it wouldn't explain how they can contend for top 5 in some tracks, and then be barely in the points, if at all, in others
Poor Sainz though, his downgrade is the biggest
I really don't understand why he's doing so poorly
I still can't believe Liam went that fast
Like... not only are the Racing bull cars faster on average than the Red Bull cars here
But Liam being faster than Max of all poeple, truly makes me question how Red Bull even came to the conclusion to replace him with Yuki
Well the red bull ring, being sug a short circuit, really amplifies a tiny mistake in qualifying. And it'll also amplify a driver outperforming the car
For sure
Driving the Austrain Ring, also known as Red Bull ring now, in F1 challenge, also provided this exact situation
I'm like so much faster than everyone else, but one slip up, and I lose so much time
Even still
This weekend could be a good one for Ferrari
I don't expect 1 and 2, but maybe both for podiums? Clearly the Ferrari favors this track
Here's hoping, but it'll be tough to beat McLaren anywhere, the pair of them are SO good
For sure
The cars are almost completely dominating the season
It's just so nonsensical
Where did Mclaren find such an edge from
Especially when they had been hardly a contender in any of the previous seasons
Fernando truly is the unluckiest driver in the world, going from the worst period of Mclaren, only for them to suddenly become good
I just found out that Carlos jokingly called Lando "Landoooo"
And now I am obsessed lol
max didnt get to complete his lap because of the yellow flag, but liam's lap was impressive
hes straight up not comfortable in the car and nothing they do to fix it has fixed it so far, god knows why
p18 to p3 in Q1 was 3 tenths apart
You know I've heard something interesting
That Sainz has volunteered for Williams for them to fit his car every race with new experimental parts, meant to test and develop the car for next year
Effectively throwing this season away, instead Albon gets the good parts to maximize the 2025 car's potential
If true, it would make sense why his performance is so off
When is someone ever going to tell Richard Verschoor that being in your 5th F2 season isn't worth it, he's never making it to F1, why can't he just go to IndyCar and stop holding up a seat, they're could've been a decent driver in that MP seat right now but no he has to occupy that seat
Kind of hard for it not to when it's one of the main teams' home
Good morning
Well at list the ring is a really cool circuit. Unlike Miami
For sure, it's a great track and a great time
And the qualifier alone was more interesting than all of Miami
SAINZ IS STUCK IN FIRST GEAR
oh my god
did williams fix nothing on his car or did they make it worse
XD
HIS BRAKES ARE ON FIRE
Oh my fucking god this sport is such a disaster sometimes 🤣🤣🤣
hes retiring
thats crazy
what a clown team
alonso telling his team that he has a sweaty ass
Well that's what they get for needing everything to be a billion degrees
F1 cars are such divas
GEOORGEEE
Oh wait it was Kimi getting revenge for George
I know I'm late but only my goat can overtake himself
The Verstappen shaped championship pressure is off... Could get spicy
Norris bottlejob as per
Overused term, time to cancel it
I'll cancel when he stops bottling
besides, could say the same with you and crashapinto
No, you cancel it now, stop putting every mistake under a microscope
He's still in the lead lmao
Because Crashapinto sucks, there's nothing good about him
This track is so good for F1
Because he sucks, Lando doesn't
see the irony? pipe down
It sucks
No you pipe down for saying Lando is "bottling" it, you act like he doesn't learn
Someones feisty
It's a crap track
you should stop watching Colapinto, brings the worst out of you
Sugared loves Las Vegas I bet
or even Miami
Just stop, Red Bull Ring has never been a staple track
Has been for years what you on lmao
even when it was the ostereichring
i think thats how it was spelt
What about between 2004-2014 when it wasn't on the calendar
Who cares about Staple, eternal classic or whatever, I just want these cars attacking each other at multiple points a lap and not sailing past on DRS every time.
When red bull bought it and were redoing it?
Stop gatekeeping Red Bull Ring and putting it on the same league as Silverstone and Monza when it's a Mexico City league track
and testing it for a couple years with gt cars?
Wasn't on the calendar between then
The racing here is usually better than Monza tbh
Now Monza, as much as I love it, is pure drs train
And lets not forget that qualy session where they all couldn't get a lap in q3 cause nobody wanted to be ahead
Ouch, Albon out
Monza is a fast and legendary track, Red Bull Ring is a literal DRS train
oh shit, bortoleto up to p6
you're joking right? monza is the definition term of a drs train track
You can't use the same joke every time
Monza is speed, Red Bull Ring is just Switzerland if racing there was to happen
Monza doesn't even show off these cars top speeds. And F1 isnt even good at top speed anymore.
Monza is still a legendary track, Red Bull Ring is barely there yet
Well RBR keeps giving us legendary races and Monza sadly doesn't. Perhaps the hybrid system shake up next year could make Monza a better race.
not if what the drivers are saying are to be believed where they're losing like half the power halfway down the main straight
This is PRECISELY what could make the race more interesting
If F1 are brave enough to bring back push button control of the power systems like original KERS deployment
They'll keep up with the flashing lights they've done for years it'll be fine.
mclaren can't seem to get that front left sorted lmao
Damn that drone cam shot is cool 🆒
oof, tsunoda didn't need to do that
He's collided with Yuki!
That was Yuki's fault
Lewis did that exact thing to Alex albon TWICE
Ye
And in comes the Cult to condemn Yuki...
The cult of how the red bull F1 team is run
No the Crashapinto cult
well some drivers cant see those lights, i mean they seemed to work for everyone BUT Lewis in Barcelona '16...
well my team is having a generational stinker and im here having a laught who would have thought
You have a team?
Welcome to Ferrari fans
though the mclaren pit wall being pussies has made it boring for the past couple of laps
id have a team if the horndog gave yuki a driveable car
its okay you may or may not see me rocking mercedes merch next year
max was like
Christian Horny is too busy beating it to Max Verstappen in a swimming pool
its all good kimi i wont shout at you you may be my future teammate
Oh you watch F1 like weird dad's watch football I forget people do that
Antonelli taking him out to be like "not my seat, take the other guys
you don't even like him"
Oscar is creeping back towards lando he might be going for a late move. F1 always has these 60% of a race lulls where nothing happens
i mean max was calling russel beautiful just the other morning, if they were to swap seats it could be the gayest this sport has ever been
oh yeah just noticed that gap has come down
i mean, isn't it already peak gay?
My totally legal stream is also struggling
same
it has fallen off compared to brocedes
and whatever the fuck ricciardo and max were doing
I'm sure Ricciardo felt up max a couple times
you seen how homeless Ricciardo looks nowadays
red bull broke the man
yes but if max wasnt out youd be looking at the tv and wondering if he will kill someone today
now that he is out its more boring than usual
he needs a shave
i was hoping for Russell and verstappen terrorism
got the other Mercedes doing it instead
They do that. Have you SEEN the way their ex drivers behave in formula e?
dans always been a cunt though
even in karting
juri vips though
I was remembering Buemi shenanigans from back in the day
can't catch up to McLaren, too fast for the Mercedes
just out here
vibing
I'll take it
leclerc will get the george russel podium of the season
biggest do nothing get podium race so far
Franco Cola-spin-to
oh you guys are like 20 seconds back
legal streams
I'm not bothered either way
Yep. not a fun field to get into
80% of the time
Man that ferrari radio is painful
#assasinateColapinto
There was no point of Crashapinto gesturing at Yuki when he nearly took Oscar out
kings
That was quite an eventfuil race
First off, poor Albon, Sainz, Kimi and Verstappen
Like damn, as if coming behind Lawson in qualifying wasn't bad enough, he gets punted out of first lap as well and nearly both RB drivers end up scoring points while Red Bull doesn't
Also, hot damn man, What's happening with Sauber? They are on fire right now
They are not even close to how they were like at the start of the season or throughout 2024
they brought some serious upgrades
They for sure did
Their performance is honestly absolutely beautiuful
At this rate, I can fully and truly see Audi achieving some fantastic results when they takeover next year
The Ferraris were pretty rapid too, upgrades and strategies definitely improving
And I am sure it only added to Sugar's salt for Colapinto to nearly end Piastri's race with that ignorant slipstream
Really cool stuff, and it was crazy how clsoe Gabriel was to overtaking Alonso
A shame Alonso couldn't overtake Lawson
It was so stupid by him
📻 Piastri’s radio: “Alpine still managed to find a way to fuck me over all these years later, huh” #F1 #AustrianGP
fuckin hell i thought it was a meme its fucking real lmao
Hahaha
It was terrible indeed
If he's not sacked after this "trial" period then he's obviously in there because of the Argentinian money
🚨 Christian Horner on McLaren
"What is very impressive is the way they can keep up with each other. Without the tyres going out. Oscar pretty much made love to the exhaust of Lando's car and his tyres stayed protected."

seen the behind the scenes too
they've become likeable again lmao
I'm sure that's why he's been kept yeah
Why does he talk such a weird way lol
I did not expect to see a shirtless Hulkenberg
They were never not likeable to be hoenst
They just began being likeable and competitive
There was a time i really didn't like em, when Monisha was running the team
It's so obvious if he's still there at Silverstone
I'm looking
Do they even have a replacemnet? if not, that might be the only reason he's kept
Jacks still on the books
failing that, paul aron
So they do have some options. Welp, it'd feel quite foolish if they swapped Colapinto for Jack again after putting him away in favor of the former
By the way, I was looking at some older F1 cars, and I stumbled upon the older 2008 era of cars
And it's kind of funny
because the 2009 and 2007 cars looked relatively normal and eveerything
Maybe they underestimated him, although he would thrive as a reserve at Haas or Williams because that place Alpine is a sesspit
And then the average 2008 F1 car looked like this
Pure visual aerodynamical overload
For sure, Alpine's so far down that no matter the driver, it's not gonnna do them any favors
At this rate, the only way to fix Alpine, is to break it all down, and start all over
Maybe skip 2026 to return in 2027
Because clearly nothing is working out
their engines, their designers, their staff, their drivers, their managers
They need a major do-over
Renault selling their stake is the only option now since De Meo is gone
They dn't even need to do that
They just need to re-priortize their goals and needs
A team that fires drivers and crew cheifs left and right, will never have any chance for success
Alpine is like Red Bull, like how Red Bull is always at the verge of collapsing due to the various effects from different factors
Alpine is that, but that collapse has happened
If Sauber of all teams can make a do-over, so can they
@glacial pine I saw your fire reaction to the BMW I posted above and I need some opinions. What was the speciality of that period of cars? Clearly V10 engines, but what was the other factor? We call the current cars the ground effect cars, what did the 2008 and thereabot cars utilize as their main thing?
Yeah but Sauber have a future, Alpine don't
Sauber's future came mostly by chance, and even if its future is where the real meat and potato is at, it is already showing its effect
Alpine has an even bigger backing than Sauber
Really, they have everything they could need for success, now they just need to put the ingredients together
Yeah but they've seem to have lost those ingredients given how many people they've went through since 2022
They definitely are very directionless when they cannot find the proper staff. We'll see what happens, but they definitely can do it. I believe in Alpine, but what they need is to believe in themselves.
We don't even know if we'll see them for 2026 grid
I doubt whoever replaces De Meo will be interested in having the F1 team given how much noise it's made and how farcical it has become
That's why I think they'll sell and cash in and put the new found money into other places
maybe, maybe it'll be for the better. At this rate it is hard to see if they'll bother
like their a442 beta
They are in alot of mess
If their new CEO isn't interested, then it's selling time, maybe to a big company, billionaire or automotive group
Or maybe to a start up F1 team, some fresh face and color
Of course, it'll have big backing regardless
At this rate anything is possible
But chance of success in their current state is basically zero
In terms of automotive groups, I'm seeing either Stellantis, Kia Hyundai or Geely going for the bid, in terms of billionaires, maybe Sir Richard Branson could return or maybe Dyson or someone in America
Maybe not Alfa given the connections to Ferrari and they're going with Mercedes for 2026, maybe Peugeot Sport could be the answer and the Peugeot Sport of today would look great on a 2026 F1 car
If it's Geely, definitely Lotus, maybe a better Lotus era at Team Enstone and they have had Merc engines before and they have a Merc engine in the Emira and Geely and Merc co-own Smart and a bit of Aston Martin
The classic Lotus colours of British Racing Green (Lotus' shade is more green compared to Aston) and yellow would look great on a 2026 F1 car
For me, 2008 represents a peak of engineering freedom. The aerodynamics is DERANGED, the cars had absolutely bonkers technological aids built into the engine mapping, traction control was banned, and the V10 scream echoing off landscapes and buildings made the sport SOUND insane on TV
Aerodynamic surfaces were cleaned up A LOT for 2009 (and again a few times recently) but I've always loved the look of racing cars that look like abstract sculpture
Peugeot would be quite cool indeed. Maybe a return for Prost racing, though I hope more successful
That definitely did make them much more unique than any car before or after
Tey practically looked like cars designed by Adrian Newey himself, al of them
It's kind of weird how the whole assists worked in F1
Like for some reason they kept coming and going
Cause like, traction control, stabilty control, automatic transmission, I honestly don't even know what is and what isn't allowed anymore
Guess 2008 was a peak year
Which is ironic in a sense given that was when the house-bubble collapse happened
The everything bubble collapsed it was CRAZY
I think a works Kia/Hyundai/Genesis formula e team, alongside their existing Motorsport development in WRC, Touring Cars, and running a WEC Hypercar would be a great next step.
Then, F1 could be a ten year plan
Yeah that makes sense
Maybe they'd even call the Formula E team "team Ioniq" or something
Given how Ioniq makes only EVs
Maybe Genesis would be the F1 Team, I mean Cadillac will be the F1 Team for GM
I could see them trying. Hyundai is proudly Korean, I can see them trying hard to not build a UK factory to do it, too. But I doubt they'd rush
I mean I am all for the F1 teams not making facilities, or at least their main facility, in UK
Avoid UK
attract talent from your actual home country
I'd bomb all of Silverstone just to get rid of every single F1 team situated there
🚨🚨🚨🚑🚨🚑🚨🚨🚨🚨
What even is the point of having a F1 team, representing your country's industry, but being situated in UK
It's not a sport at that point, just paying to win
Thanks for agreement xd
But regardless, given Genesis is going to represent Hyundai in WEC, it makes sense that it'll rpresent them in F1 too
But they'll likely use Ioniq for Formula E
If they bought Alpine, they'd have Team Enstone there on hand
Then don't
No
Make your bloody team if you're so proud
Rather than base yet another facility in UK
There is nothing in YK
just an oversaturation
The best engineers for F1 are based in the UK, that's the truth and it always will be the truth
And that's exactly why it should be stopped
@pale bridge wpuld that even be worth doing looking at the mess these last few years? AND Flavio briatore?
The point of F1 shouldn't be to just get the best engineers
it should be to make the best engineers
From your own country no less
There's literally no point in getting a staff from elsewhere
It won't and it can't stop
It's a large enough industry to have enough crew from elswher
Please just shut the fuck up
Who are you, their represenattive?
I am not asking you to lick their boot
I already know full well why things are the way they are
And hence why I am saying to not have thhem be that way anymore
Why do you think Cadillac have a base in the UK, because that's where the best F1 engineers are, especially if American engineers will have little to no expirence in F1, they're more familiar with IndyCar, NASCAR and IMSA
Because F1 is oversturated, and the point of sport is lost
UK has nothing
as proven with 9 of the 10 teams sucking ass
Utter lies
Shut up
Only one UK based teams sucks right now and that's Alpine
Then MAKE American engineers with expeirence
THat's their own fault
it's like it's a brain dead move or something
What's the point of having a sport without it representing you
It does undermine every "ooh F1 is such an important sport at the cutting edge of global technology" when most of the teams are neighbours in one bit of the UK
The Japanese honda F1 project was a really cool attempt to change that a bit
Engineers don't grow on trees, also do you seriously expect UK engineers to move to America, especially if they've got families, do you know how much hassle it to move countries for work
Exactly, there's no point at that rate
it's all just the same, everyone paying for allegedly the best and most capable, instead of training their own staff, creating their own image, and fighting the ladder rather than jumping in and expecting immediate results
Honda didn't join F1 in 70s with British staff
I understand sport has changed
But it really hasn't
You should waste money until you get meaningful results
Rather thna buy your way in
I don't want UK engineers at all
They can all die for all I care
I want Americans and elsewhere to train their own engineers for this
It's where the best engineers are, we rarely make road cars anymore but we know how to make racing cars, especially F1 cars
Stay 100% or as close as possible true to their point of represeting their nation
Oh that explains your retarded answers
You're from there
Hence you defend there
God you're a fucking cunt
You can't argue with facts
Facts are that everyone is lazy
I want to break that mold
I'm from there. The rich history of successful F1 teams based in the UK is what to mine if you want to turn up and win. But it doesn't accomplish anything. But F1 cars as a concept don't really accomplish much that's more relevant than pushing what F1 cars can be.
Typical Americanised syndrome
There are places outside of UK where even better engineers exist
And F1 shouldn't be harder than quantam maths
I am not an American
