By the rules max enjoys, it was George's corner
and by the rules if max crashed into someone he wouldve gotten the 5 seconds
Hmmm maybe Nico Rosberg disagrees with me lol
and thats exactly what george did
so instead of dealing with that drama he keeps the position
The trademark max move is carrying untenable speed around the outside to be "ahead at the apex" and claim he was pushed off of a corner there was very very low chances of making.
Omg GP agrees with me?!
you think he wasnt making that really?
Poor tires, outside line, dirty air max was Gambling
Fucking hell max
Where is the black flag? It was as bad when he tried it in Mexico, and when Seb Vettel did it in Baku
black flag? how many years has it been for one
no way for that incident
youre out of your mind
Ew Gasly in the points
No we're in our minds, it was deliberate
Looking at them, the black flag hasn't been used for driving standards since 1981 and that was yellow flags.
They've been used to disqualify on technical things, like Hulkenberg getting outside assistance in Sao Paulo.
Only 10 seconds for deliberately ramming a car is insane.
There's even rules around giving places back, you have to stay behind for at least the next corner after giving the place.
They were being generous with him but they would've given him more
In his home race no less
Definitely the most F1 race I've watched yet
"I've done that before in mario kart"
For one: Good job mclaren boys
For two: Good work to leclcerc for the podium
For three: Holy crap Max was all over the shop
FOr four: That was some strong defense by Bearman, and decent racing from Hadjar
However, I think the real goat of this event was Nico Hulkinberg
Holy shit, a P6, ahead of Hamilton, in the Sauber
Even Bortoleto was doing quite well
Wait, did Max get disqualified?
nah, 10 seconds
He did have some shitty manners today
dropped him to p10
Ooooh nooo, now that's bad as hell
Well done to Alonso as well, finally breaking the curse
Hulk P5 now
Lance could have won that
You know who else is cursed now?
Verstappen somehow DOTD
Antonelli with 3 DNFs in the past 3 races
close championship
So who replaces Stroll for his homerace if he can't make it and Drugovich is committed to Le Mans with Cadillac... Crawford? Bottas? Anyone?
yes it was, and the 10 seconds and the penalty points are 100% deserved, now have you in your lifetime in F1 seen a black flag for causing a collision
the blag flag has not been used for that for 20 years now
Drama in the closing stages of the race! 😱
︀︀
︀︀Max Verstappen drops to P10 following a 10-second penalty for causing a collision with George Russell
︀︀
︀︀#F1 #SpanishGP
Crawford doesn't have the super license points
Bottas and Perez are probably the best shouts
he probably injured himself throwing the fit
but it could also be taking a silent leave
they said it was unrelated
and the long term injury is a cover story for his childish insolence
yeah but they also said stroll was wdc material
Would be an interesting approach
maybe he did something naughty they dont want the media catching, and all
or he didnt
i dont know
apparently though, drugovich is considering dropping le mans for the F1 seat if he gets the chance
if he does he's the biggest idiot on earth
i agree with you
It was deliberate, Verstappen knew exactly what he was doing and completely caught George out
and i AGREE with you
the black flag in F1 though
is not for that !!!
not for 20 years now if not more
if it makes you feel better
make it 20 seconds
and 3 points
for all i care
not disqualification of the WDC though, that is absolutely idiotic what those people are shouting about
the black flag is for the most serious of offenses. we're talking like, senna taking prost out t1 japan 1990
Most likely, lance knocked some water bottles or something over while being angry and slapping a table, and tabloid media is making it out to be something. He did have a bad cycling accident a few years back.
I do think full disqualification from an event should be used for a deliberate ram at any speed
but its quite easy to make enemies if youre stroll
we would have multiple a year then, yet we dont get any
10 seconds under safety car restart isnt much different anyway
if there wasnt a safety car they would have given him 20
I haven't seen a deliberate ram like that since 2017. And seb should have been removed from that event for it too
i disagree with you completely, loads of deliberate rams every year
Feel free to link me to any
Happy chappy when nothing happens or it's going in his favor
But lashes out when something goes wrong
also this one is 100% max refusing to give the position and sliding around while shouting at his engineer, russel thinking he's letting him through and max understeering right into him
what other benefit max has of ramming someone not even in wdc contention
I think max ler his anger get the better of him and just threw the car at a driver again. Like Mexico last year
if he so wanted to kill someone wouldnt he just ram into norris then
He wasn't angry at Norris today
He was seemingly angier for his own lack of tire management
having to do the last stint on hards while others were on mediums and softs
the tires were new mini
He was angry that George bumped into him.
I mean he had nothing else left
Had to use hards
when everyone else was on softs
a couple seconds before the crash: "he needs to give that position back (leclerc)" "give the position to russel" "for what blah blah" and then they crash
he refused to give the position, slid on the straight
over to inside and russel though he was letting him through
he had 0 intention of letting russel
Max will have remembered George bumping into him, he was there
ill go watch the onboard but i assure you he never saw russel coming and russel genuinely thought he was getting the position
deliberate crash but not looking to kill someone crash no
On the safety car restart? Yeah just racing. Max then rammed George later
absolutely no different than any other crash where the driver on the inside understeers right into the outside driver

intentional
didn't get dq'd
He was supposed to be letting him by, not trying to overtake and understeer g
you are not oblidged though? he can take 5 seconds and not let him pass
Piquet Jr deliberately crashed in 2008
but that was into a wall
🚨 Max Verstappen wins the overtake of the month with this incredible MOVE. 🔥🔥
Pffft
You wouldn't do what max did to let him by if you didn't trust your engineer was making the right call asking you to let him by.
And briatore got a life time F1 ban for telling him to do it
Briatore gets a pass cause he's a fuckin gangster though
gp was advising him, ultimately max made the decision himself. it's not like his race engineer was remote controlling the car
Exactly. Max decided to do literally none of what anyone asked him
Going for the place the turn after giving it back would have AUTOMATICALLY nullified, to the stewards, the act of giving it back. AND then he hit George too
From what i understand of the rules, as soon as George is ahead it's fair game
these guys will have gone over the rules in 1000x more detail than us. of course he's gonna think he's in the right
Hamilton on Raikonnen 2008 Belgium comes to mind. Hamilton immediately races as soon as Kimi was ahead
This came up in Jeddah the first time, giving up places after getting drs then being back ahead before the next corner. Not allowed then. But that was the Michael Masi chaos era
With rain pouring down and just two laps to go, the field faced the ultimate dilemma - stay out on slicks, or lose time and grab intermediates? Watch as Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Raikkonen, Felipe Massa and others try to keep it on the road in one of the craziest finishes you'll ever see to an F1 race.
For more F1® videos, visit https://www.Formula...
This was the race being referenced by commentary a few years ago as being the basis for the precedent of not overtaking the corner after giving a place back. Also subtly different because Lewis gave it back immediately, while today max waited a lap, because it was a lot less obvious he needed to give it back, if he even did need to give it back.
🚨 | BREAKING: Max Verstappen was given three penalty points for his incident with George Russell.
He is now on 11 penalty points...
Meaning just one point away from a race ban.
@granite tangle that's your boy there
2 expire next month, also fia just posted that he didnt even have to give the position back
also, his onboard on the crash with russel is MIA
it is only rear facing
just funny overall im enjoying this
true but it's still fun to see
oh mate im having a laugh
all these people crying shouting being mad
i just know take verstappen out and every race is boring
at least he pulls through with the entertainment
This is very mysterious 🤣
Footage from Shanghai this morning in the wet
Sauber managed to not only leapfrog Alpine but tie with Aston Martin on points but Sauber are ahead by virtue of Nico finishing 5th
Oh wow! Townsend Bell is talking to Santino Ferucci during the Red flag, what a surprise
Also Verstappen is just 1 penalty point away from a race ban...
https://x.com/milanwyddd/status/1929192720947363872?t=CDjbzyIDanXGzK0KjHOkMQ&s=19
He's making a big brain play
verstappen trying to get himself banned so he can replace drugovich at le mans after he repalces stroll🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
I have been reminded this exists. So everyone else will be reminded this exists

It still is amazing
How has he racked up so many penatlies, good lord
New fave conspiracy theory
NO
penalty points are pretty persistent, i mean magnussen racked up a race ban last season and hes the furthest thing from a terrorist XD
I mean.. I've seen his driving. He ain't too far off
Magnussen is very much NOT the furthest thing from a terrorist 🤣
we have worse, magnussen was taking crap machinery way above where it should be
Well there is Max I guess
fair point
though max's worst was prolly the torro rosso and that was closer to midfield than backmarker i think
I was talking about doing penalty point worthy behaviour
There have been many examples of very unsportsmanlike champions within F1
And it honestly ends up going back to a discussion and study of whether if this sort of behvaior should be accepeted at all
Than something within F1 itself
At the end of the day, F1 has always been rather barbaric beneath its high status and technological image
I mean for god's sake, it's probably one of the biggest wastes of money man has ever implemented
🚨 | Flavio Briatore is "not happy at all" with Colapinto's performances so far.

Streets will remember Massa and Kubica dogfight in Fuji , no track limits , no i was ahead of you in the apex ahh radios , no SuSpEnD RaCe ItS ToO WeT , just racing
Quoting ahmed baokbah 🇸🇦 🏎️🛩️ (@ahmed_baokbah)
︀
Two things in my opinion has to change in formula 1
︀︀
︀︀1- the “ I was ahead at the apex = I can do whatever I want in that corner ”
︀︀
︀︀2- stewards giving 10 sec pens for someone driving in the intent to cause a crash
︀︀
︀︀I still believe Max should’ve kept the position and not give it to George until he threw it all in the bin with a single move by hitting George
Holy crap, how are they seeing anything racing like this
Also, I disagree
Rules need to exist
I've never seen a situation this precarious for an F1 team
Their number 2 driver is possibly leaving the sport, and neither of their reserve drivers are available
They may need Bottas given the connection with Mercedes, and he's possibly the only option because Vesti is also racing at Le Mans
Yeah that's what I think as well
I don't know if it's possible to get Bottas given rules, but it's not like Aston is spoiled for choice
it's pretty much either him, or somehow being allowed to continue the season with 1 car alone
drugovitch alr said if it comes to it he will ditch lemans
idiotic if you ask me, but he did say that
I kind of hope he doesn't
Le Mans is more important
But let's be real, he won't be coming for the F1 anyway
He'll be paid an insane sum to abandon Le Mans and come to F1
idk the man is basically begging for an f1 seat and he isnt getting it
desperate to prove a point
he cant race in f2 anyway because he's banned (f2 champions are banned after they win)
so its either make a last ditch effort trying to impress someone, or lemans, or formula E
Now that's kind of stupid
Well, in that case I suppose it makes more sense for him to want to abandon le Mans
Do they realise this whole video is a textbook example of "I was ahead at apex I can do whatever"
It's a small problem. Checo Perez exists
You’re right. She’s very incompetent. I think Red Bull should sack her.
︀︀
︀︀…and Ferrari should hire her.

i'm afraid we need to start some #uncomfortable conversations
best strategist of modern time and they wanna blame her for miscommunication
its fine, she's lost a step. Ferrari will take her, they know a thing or two about terrible strategists
pfft
I know this ain't very related
But Lando's girlfriend is rather attractive
She was on screen for a bit
allegedly a massive racist too
its just twitter rumours so wouldn't read too much into it
Most certainly
hes always doing better, just stuck in a terrible car for many many years
i mean penalties aside finishing fucking P5 in a sauber
and hes making an F2 champion look weak compared to him over one lap, bortoletto has a very hard job being in a sauber and being his teammate
if gabi had a pay driver as a teammate i promise you people would be talking about him like the after coming of christ, yet he's flown completely under the radar as far as rookies go
@pale tinsel @glacial pine https://vxtwitter.com/f1bigdata/status/1929541298362396954?s=46
Verstappen's contact with Russell from his onboard
https://t.co/c4ABuReiGg
They pulled the front facing onboard from the car
I still want to know how they lost it.
Oh max.
He just needs to stop anger getting the better of him before someone actually gets hurt
It wasn’t lost the onboard publicly available is just the one broadcasted. The broadcasted camera at the time was rear-facing. To get the other angles they need to retrieve the footage from the car itself
Hey man I’m not saying he wasn’t at fault but people calling for public execution are just boring
Oh I know for a fact when he gets that race ban those next few races with a fresh license are gonna be legendary
Ikr. They wouldn't have survived mid 2000's Schumacher or prime Senna
Max Crashtappen is gonna make a return
but tactical crashes
They bang on about it all the time, but there's a Sky product where you can watch any onboard at any time.
I have f1tv mate I have the onboards
But you can’t change the camera angle
When they fuck up the angle it’s always delayed a couple days to get the right one on the VOD
people think im gonna stop repping him because he committed terrorism, they DO not know about the 17 and 18 year old max that i have been supporting since XD
Oh weird they pick which onboard? I just assumed it meant you had all 20 forward cameras to look at
had rosberg praying to baby jesus to not have "him" in front of him
it changes up, HALO cam, nose, rear etc. You also get live radio on the onboards and you hear the whole talk with the engineer
Just like formula e
Max was VERY wise in 2016 and 17 to cause chaos.
He messed up a few strategies by not immediately letting cars past when there were different pit stop strategies, got the cameras pointed at him being brilliant, then made up the time somewhere else.
Max raced overly hard when starting out
Matured his race craft a lot since then
i miss absolute chaos baller teenager max verstappen
he has the annual stinker still
Except from 2023
2023 I don't think he barely put a foot wrong
even singapore where Red Bull weren't winning he just drove his race
yea but 2023 he never had to overdrive to gain something
quali maybe? think lawson knocked him out of q2 in a alpha tauri
cant remember
2023 was boring
24 was more memorable
from my burning hate for the mclarens alone
22 was fun because it was leclerc and max for a good part of the season and that was genuinely good racing to watch
oh how i miss her and her early competitive form
and 21 well, some people still live in 21 dont they XD
bro i was in deep shit i had to study like hell back then but the holy hour of the european GPs was mine and mine alone to not be bothered
i remember i was screaming in my house in AD21 and i get a call from literally everyone just after screaming max did it or i was getting ranted at for the robbery XD
funny fucking times
was watching it with the missus, laughed at toto getting pissed about it
like yeah, masi fucked it but the reactions were hilarious
ΜΙΚΕΥ ΝΟ
Do I? 2020 I still hype up that Turkey race
NO NO MIKEY THAT WAS SO NOT RIGHT
HAHAHAH
MIKEY YOU NEED TO REINSTATE THAT LAST LAP
i miss instanbul (bomb turkey tho lowkey)
Give me back Malaysia
It was such a wacky race on that surface. Lance Stroll on pole on pure merit. That picture of Max crying on the floor, the dancing on ice race day
Amazing

quite tempting
You look into that yes absolutely

Hulkenberg got points at the Nurburgring when he was parachuted in when someone had COVID in 2020
You know what I'm hoping?
Osama Bin Russell terrorism that makes Max crash out and somehow get a race ban
I don't think George would do that
ΗΑΗΑ
george is such a PR monster hes made yall have amnesia
almost like its a different guy in the mercedes than he was in the williams
crashing into people and throwing hands with them XD
bro i just wanna see what max does AFTER a race ban
absolute cinema that
Oh he would so do that
George likes being passive aggressive in interviews too much. It'll lose its power if he runs someone off the road
Welcome to Skibidi Baku my dudes
Fun fact, the one time I went to Baku
I actually saw the parts of the streets they had closed off for F1 race held there
Sadly, there wasn't any race there yet, and I couldn't stay there long enough to see the F1 race
fuckin hell @granite tangle just seen someone call verstappen fans the verstaliban
@allardkalff @Max33Verstappen Hi Allard. Max was a bit miffed that he was being overtaken. People are angry again. They want me to say one thing or another so they can up the hatred on this 'thing' called 'Social Media'. They only want what confirms their bias. This is no place for a balanced discussion #f1

the man that was called a racist and that he didn’t want Yuki in bc he is Asian is DEFENDING him from Christian Horny
🚨 | Helmut Marko has come to the defence of Yuki Tsunoda.
Marko says Tsunoda isn't to blame for his latest Red Bull struggles.
Here's why:
The absolute times we live in man
Helmut MArko said that?!?!
Yes he did ladies and gentlemen
Shit must be really rough in RBR if Helmut is saying that
I just hope he fixes the situation before he retires and leaves
Cause if he leaves that burning sinking ship it’ll go to hell by itself
pffft, yup..
F1 has more drama than a soap opera
🚨 Cadillac's landed its first sponsor for its new #F1 team - and its a big one too
It's announced a deal with ex-Mercedes sponsor Tommy Hilfiger to bring the clothing giant back to grand prix racing ➡️ https://t.co/i5mEj1tzum
https://t.co/i5mEj1tzum
lewis hamilton to cadillac confirmed
Pfffft
Nah man, that would make history if it happens
honestly I read somewehre that Hamilton is thinking of retiring after 2025
Don't know how true it is however
is it just a sponsor, or a title sponsor?
No one knows but Tommy Hilfiger mainly did clothing for Mercedes and had the sponsor on the car
With apparel brands the advertising is prominent as much in the drivers’ fashion as much as it’s on the car itself
So I do doubt that they’ll go for a title sponsor sponsorship
Though it’s not unheard of (AlphaTauri)
And Benetton too
https://x.com/verstappenews/status/1929945907602305229 @pale tinsel real quote
I hope one day we see max with inter team rivalry
briatore
he is not joining alpine
stop the glaze 😭
the closest we had was def with daniel
tho i think you prolly mean a rivalry that they would hate each others guts on and off track
which yea max hasnt had
I wanted this so badddd in 2022 it would have been so spicy
I meant pace rivalry, but I think max would make one lead to the other
idk man he's literally ripped every teammate he had apart
Yeah by being dramatically faster
itd have to be someone elite at minimum
and to have 2 elite drivers in their prime at the same team is rare
yeah i mean i absolutely love albon now but when he was in the same car as max i genuinely thought he was terrible
man's confidence was none existent after a point in the season
I never knew what AlphaTuari was
neither did a lot of people dw XD
Hehehe
glad I wasn't alone
So Benetton was a clothing brand too?
These teams' names were clothing brands
Aston wants him, Mercedes wants him, and now Alpine wants him
Crazy
I don't blame him
Seems kind of silly ngl
So Benetton was essnetially owned by them
benetton used to be quite popular and trendy back then afaik
It's kind of funny regardless
it's like Stake F1 team
Like Stake hasn't just founded a team or something
They own them, but they also renamed
At least stake was decent enouygh to recognize it would be silly
And so the team's name in practice is Kick Sauber
stake doesnt own them
its a weird one
sauber needed a title sponsor
alpha romeo was that for them for many years
it wasnt an alpha romeo works team, it was a sauber works team with an alfa romeo title sponsor
thats kinda what stake has taken up
and i dont think stake will stay when they become audi
Most likely not
but what you mention does spark some questions
Because let me explain
Alfa Romeo wasn't a title sponsor
They owned the team partially
Hence why the cars weren't known as Saubers alone at that point
Why is this so? because Kick already sponsored the cars back in 2023
This is an Alfa Romeo Sauber, whose title sponsor is Stake
yeah youre right
Stake just increased their share when 2023 came along
i tried to generalize it
And Alfa Romeo sold theirs
my main point was that stake/kick etc. isnt a works team
I understand what you mean, and it is really confusing from an outsider view
And yeah it isn't
they just fund the sauber works team to make cars that are branded in their colors
a lot of teams operated like that
it's kind of interesting
Because Benetton wasn't quite like that
Either the Benetton team existed in some form or another prior to being caled benetton
Or they really are a Benetton works team
for example when redbull used to bear the Aston Martin brand, even though they used Honda as their engines
Because Redbull is rebranded stwarts Ford
And Redbull was owned by Ford at the time
and this redbull, had the renault PU
So they used Aston martin to have Redbull as their subsidary
I still have no idea what Infiniti was here
I mean i get it, Infiniti is owned by Nissan, Nissan is owned by Renault, Renault gives power unit
Actually that explains perfectly
I wonder if Redbull is still owned by Ford
an effort to popularize infinity with the public
in a last ditch effort era for infinity
Indeed
It was such a move
the world of F1 sponsorship and owning can be very confusing indeed
I mean I always wondered something myself
Does the victory of a team count to when the team gets rebrnaded?
Like does Brawn's WDC count towards Mercedes-AMG's WDC, or does Benetton's WDC count towards Alpine's WDC?
its actually quite hilarious how redbull took over Ford's disaster and turned it into the most successful team of the 2000s with 8 world championships
and now that ford and redbull are collaborating again it marks RBR's fall from grace (max probably cant win a championship this year, engine rumours are showing favorable for Mercedes and Honda only)
Or does Toro Rosso's WDC count towards Minardi?
Redbull took Jaguar's disaster and made something of it
And now they're about to fall into the same pit of nonsense
i guess not, not for the general public mind at least
Suffice to say, i still don't really understand how F1 brands and sponsors work
I mean teams can name themselves however they like
Mercedes could have renamed themselves Mercedes-Brawn if they wanted
But the whole world of sponsors and such is always quite a confusing one
brawn (the guy) had nothing to do with the team after he sold it tho
The team is still the same though
Same place, same crew
Besides, it ain't uncommon for teams to keep older names or designs even when they rebrand
Take the fact that team Impul's GT500 GTRs and 400zs were still blue and labeled Calsonic after Calsonic had gone bankrupt
They just kinda do whatever they feel like
Yeah that's what I've discovered too
It's kind of all down to the business side of it
How much a title sponsor is owed to by the team, who owns the team or how much they own, etc etc
I mean I still don't know if 2026 audi will actually be called Audi F1 team or Audi Sauber F1 team
Given mr Sauber hasn't left, and nothing about their previous endevours are gonna change any time soon
Still running Ferrari PUs, still the same chassis just modified
It's just that Audi has come to own a bigger share of Sauber than Stake, Alfa Romeo or BMW ever did
Plus, Audi realizes that Sauber is too big of a name to leave out of the team's name entirely
I'm sure they'll call it something like what Stake did
It'll be Audi F1 team Audi Sport Sauber
audi is going full audi. Sauber is exiting. Power unit will be developed by Audi, and according to the rumours they are REALLY behind
That
's the thing
THey aren't gonna make the Pus in time
or the chassis
They promised they were gonna do everything on their own, but they obviously cannot
hence why I don't think in their first year they'll actually be called fully Audi
Because they don't actually own anything of the team bar the team's market share
I won't be surprised if for 2026, they'll just act as a Title sponsor, before renaming the team for 2027
Actually they literally can’t supply a different engine anymore
I think the deadlines are past closed
They chose this
The 2026 car is entirely new, nothing the same from the past regulation set
I don't mean that the 2026 car isn't new
I'm saying that its chassis and engine aren't by Audi
The chassis can’t be supplied
The engine they could have supplied from any other PU manufacturer but they chose against it
Can or cannot, this is what they have to do
If they can’t the car won’t be on the grid
Cadillac played it smart, signed a 2 year deal with a supplier and said, let’s make a car, and 2028 we are making our own engine
Yeah Cadillac had a better plan going into it
Not to mention, Cadillac was smart enough to not close their entire other racing division because of it
Still don't get why Audi did what they did
One of the most successful teams in all of GT and Prototype endurance racing, and they threw it away for Formula 1
God knows
Maybe
Big car maker rebrands never do
Well there was Mercedes…
They'll definitely be a backmarker for most of 2026 and 2027
Yeah but remember Mercedes' initial years? IF they didn't have Schumacher to help develop, they would have never gotten anywhere
And Vettel helped with Aston, and yet Aston never actually improved any bit
It's just game of chance
Everyone said that about Mercedes when they signed a retired Schumacher to help them develop a car and only managed 5th in the WCC
Yeah but people thought they’d suck forever
And told Hamilton he made a career ending move by taking over what Schumacher left
it is true for most teams, Mercedes just ended up being the exception
Of course
Indeed, I remember even Jeremy said that
Going from Mclaren to Mercedes
Aston got a huge leap after Seb. Had a podium contending car in the hands of Alonso for a good part of 2023
And then they fucked it
Completely in the bin
And they'll continue to bin it
Sure they'll have Newey for 2026
But like.. I don't see how that'll change anything
Redbull didn't start winning because of Newey, and neither will Aston
It goes far beyond having a decent car designer
THey literally don't even have a number 2 driver right now
I think they jumped the gun, but I suppose we'll see
I think for 2026 all the winning teams will struggle
Redbull is already at turmoil, Mercedes power units are failing back and forth
And Mclaren's dominance is not garantueed to carry into 2026
And Lewis definitely won't be racing for Ferrari in 2026
Bold. Very bold
Can you blame him? Lol
Lewis finished P5 and he felt like the happiest man alive when the Tifosi cheered him on in Imola
Absolutely not
Now imagine when he gets his first proper podium
I hope he has a miracle win at monza
This team puts them through hell but he will get Stockholm syndrome soon
and you forget how they berate him every time he doesn't
He didn't even wanna talk after Spanish GP
Ferrari will be putting a LOT into their Monza special
He had a career bad race in Spain I don’t blame him
Ferrari couldn't do shit at Imola
THeir home turf
They'll continue to do nothing for Monza, because they can't do nothing
John wick moment
It was going okay, but that restart shook things up
And then a backmarker team with their same PU overtook him
It’s okay to admit that a great had a bad race once
Max had a massive stinker after the restart too
Indeed
Suffice to say, I don't see Hmailton staying
I get why all these WDCs join Ferrari
It’s not too far fetched
Winning for Ferrari a WDC is always much more meaningful than winning for any other team
I just happen to disagree because most drivers overstay their welcome in the scuderia rather than understay
And he can place bimself with greats such as Schimacher, Raikkonen, mansell, Prost and etc if he ever wins for Ferrari
But that sure ain't happening
You do forget that Hamilton isn;t most drivers
He barely has a life within F1
Probably the least spoken F1 driver
His life exists outside of F1 now
Well I’m just saying Hamilton in Ferrari could very well end up wasting many years of his career, quite similar to Alonso
Well this year's a complete waste for him anyway
If he'll ever have a chance, it'll be for 2026
And that's why I am doubting whether if he'll stay
He is a literal goat now
Best first year to join a team, just before new regs
A year of getting part of the team
And hopefully a great next year
I suppose we'll see
I do hope they can do it
But literally nothing is garanuteed
Forza Motorsport 7's car list is not a weakness of it
Because it has so many awesome cars
And it introduces me to so many different various classes
It is no wonder that FM7 brought about the whole homologation system to keep the slew of cars it has in its various classes equal
it's in effect a Forza version of Balance of Performance, or BoP
Today alone, I learned about IMSA GTP, IMSA DP, various effect GT3s and GTEs
I'm abot to say something some of you may find controversial
I find the previous era of F1 cars rather ugly looking
And the current era of their designs the best they've looked in a long time
The previous generation feels too long, too cluttered, too messy with different design aspect
THe current ones feel so much cooler to look at
Much sleeker and less cluttered
And somehow look smaller despite not being smaller
And it helps that their halo feels implemnted and not tacked on
I see your point, but the 2014-2016 and 2017-2021 regs did produce some good lookers
They definitely had their highlights
But overall, it feels like the deisgns grew too cluttered as they went on
I mean look at that car's nose
It seems to have a dent upwards
Midway
I understand sometimes to be faster, they needed to priortize utility over looks
But the current generation just sell the whole V6 idea so much better to me
ferrari in 2015 had an elegant design
They feel like they are designed
Now that's definitely a highlight of that era
arguably
the 2016 version was a better looker
So uh
Apparently as always
The media is over exaggerating the stroll situation
That comment is from his engineer
And well I don’t think he has a reason to lie in a random instagram post
Perfect design
I never believed it to begin with frankly
Yeah but it had the penis
Like do people not know who Stroll is?
He seems like one of the nicest people on the F1 grid
micropenis*
Stroll is a bit immature but he certainly ain’t a terrible person the media tried painting him as
He also may be spoiled but he isn’t hitting people for not getting what he wants spoiled
Certainly
Media loves to make fun of him, as do fans
Never did it before why would he now
The shark fins.. I am conflicted ngl
They feel cool
But they don't jell with the overall open wheel design
They were cool, small fins made a return but they didn’t last
They work brilliantly with Prototypes howeer
This one is from the good looking ones, the McLaren fin was quite egregious
the teams did some cool integrations with it
Fair enough then
Guess I've mostly see bad ones
Frankly it should become a standard
But all and all
For all the faults of current F1 cars
Their desigms, I really like them
They grew on me very quickly
THey feel almost like fictional F1 car designs you saw back in the day
sponsorless sauber did a really nice anniversary livery in 2017
This had people truly torn
Oh man, that is beautiful
The high nose was such a strange era of its own
I remember that it was cool
oh does anyone remember when McLaren tested the 2009 nose structure on the 2008 car?
I mean the cars turned up from one race to another back then and looked like a different car
So I get you
cause a lot of people hated it, but like i thought it looked quite sleek
look how good that looked
Yeah they were developing alot
Not bad honestly
Those noses were weird too
then the actual 2009 car
That was the F1 I grew up with
B&H Jordan era
We are going kinda back there slowly so that’s a nice change to freshen the grid up
Yup, I am glad the current designs are taking great inspiration
hell, the current F1 cars feel like repeats of that era
Maybe that's why I like them
They feel as sleek as those did
Fight me man but
Grooved tires had so much more aura
Can we get Firestone or Goodrich back
I mean slicks are faster tires
or was it 2008? one of the two
But the grooved ones looked so cool
mb, 2008 last used
Also different manufacturers was a good concept that flopped sadly
Fell apart after usa 2005
Because they just used the most dangerous tire to gain even a slight advantage XD
michelin were on borrowed time since then
and its easier for the fia to specify a tyre from one manufacturer
Yeah I’m just a hater
And I loved seeing different branding on the tire walls and stuff
Michelin tyres were the one man
Nah they all were sexy as fuck
Wouldn’t have any car from that era with a different tire
Alonso's R25 looked so weird on pirelli slicks
Yeah but it was flying
This is really cool
I found this instragram post of current F1 regs with 2005 liveries
YOu have HP BMW Sauber, West Mclaren-Mercedes, Mild Seven Renault, Malboro Ferrari and Lucky Strike Honda
Goes to show
Aura
I would love to see them make homage liveries to these at some point
Maybe they already have
It looks wrong but if that’s what it took for Alonso to take it for a spin so be it
THis was a bit of a weird one
They can’t do the cigarette ones the likeness is enough to get the teams in serious trouble
Really? Even the likeness can get them in trouble?
ok I'm in love
Well Ferrari did some stuff after the tobacco bans..
And they’ve been especially strict since…
yep. ferraris barcode livery almost got them in trouble
Wording it as if they were innocent XD god I love that
Modern Jordan Aston, my bad
Well they could do something else
Just make them red and white with somewhat design simialrities
But hey, I don't know the details
the barcode was their something else
That's weak
Weird then, I wouldn't done that
But oh well
I would have put the new title sponsor in the malboro branded logo
and that was the last ferrari to run subliminal marlboro branding for a few years
Fair enough
Mclaren could just run some silver liveries sometimes
THey were Silver for most of their life
You see, Marlboro was the title sponsor in that car..
Malboro still sponsored the car by then? THat changes everything
Dunno how much of it was true, but marlboro basically bought the sponsorship of the whole car and sold it off themselves
marlboro only got dropped as a sponsor quite recently. like 2022 or something iirc
Well if you ask Ferrari they will say oh no just a coincidental barcode there nothing to see
Oh well, that's what F1 manager games are for
Making homages to these livieres
SERIOUSLY?!
Even though when moving at speed the likeness to the marlboro logo was intentional
I thought it was dropped far longer before
yeah just double checked, PMI deal ended 2022
Oh they were
Oh
Ferrari are just Ferrari though
Guess they were above the rules
Ferrari did a LOT of shit in the late 10s
Such as making an engine that reaches top speed in spa before the eau rouge
🤣
Illegal fuel mixture
Oil burning or something i believe
That they didn’t give to customer teams
oooooh
XD
Goddamn, that is pretty illegal
Basically exploiting a grey area with the sensors
Just Ferrari in 2019 nothing to see
Like, even mercedes slipstreaming and in drs couldn't catch the Ferraris, thats how much they were cheating
"allegedly"
That is a very insanely big advantage they had
Before everyone shifted their attention to Mercedes with DAS and Redbull with the bib
It was either Ferrari making something illegal
Or snitching someone for being illegal
Every year
Pffft
XD
Ferrari the dumb fucks could have cheated a little, but nah they had to go full power and ruin their 2020 season
Ironic you say that, caise it was true even back in Lauda's era
With him snitching on Hunt
F1 teams are really stupid
THey can't make a car and win without cheating somehow
Then again
What we call cheating, they call innvoation
That's what we need more of
What, them cheating?
it makes for a spactcle for the viewers, but not so much for the spirit of the sport
can't deny, every car being buffed would be fun
But then again
These drivers barely survive as it is
No need to risk their lives any further
F1 is supposed to be cutting edge, but it seems like every sort of innovation gets sniped by the FIA
I mean mini idk if you know about it but have you heard of the F duct
Well it can't be called cutting edge when it destroys the point of a competition
And other tesams aren't even allowed to copy
So it just means a team will be dominant regardless
That had drivers steering full throttle with 1 hand on the steering wheel to abuse a device that required their hand to fill a hole inside the cockpit XD
Mid 10s I believe
Was kind of funny more than anything
I don't think it even made that big of an advantage
That’s what we are saying
But really, F1 is a mess
Extremely dangerous illegal shit is funny a lot of times
Saturday July 4th 2009, morning run in Goodwood, Lorenzo Prandina driving
Man this thing sounds good
2008 was my favourite F1 car look. You can almost see the wind tunnel on these shapes and surfaces. I love it
Whose car is that green car?
I had never seen that befotr
As for the 2008 era look
Yeesh
Very cluttered
Kind of cool however
That was honda. In 2008 they were on a PR green 💚 environmental crusade. Also sponsor less. So they had environmentalism marketing and quit the sport the day before hybrids came in.
Interesting...
So they Really wanted to set an enviorlemanist message
In the world's top racing experience?
Not sure whether if it's them being pretentious
Actually meaning something
Or just a PR stunt
Well everyone who wasn't an oil company executive pretty much agreed that not cooking ourselves to death was a good idea
So honda wanted to say they were trying.
So it's probably a mix of all those options
I suppose thats fair
And while I understand for normal cars, regulations never made sense for race cars or performance cars
There's so few of them, their emissions barely amount to anything
But at the end, more than following regulations, its about saving money
Personally, I prefer to not see any environmental movement in motorsports, but I suppose it's inevitable
By thr way, was playing FM7 today
It had 2 generations of Formula E cars
It was rather cool
It had a few teams which don't seem to be In thr sport anymore
Not 2 generations, it's just the Gen1 and an updated version of it, we never got the Gen2 and we don't have the current Gen3 car in FM
Some are still there but rebranded, e.g. Audi Sport ABT is now Lola Yamaha ABT, DS Virgin is Envision, Dragon is DS Penske, Venturi is Maserati and NextEV TCR is Cupra Kiro, Techeetah is gone when DS partnered with Penske
make it happen
Ahhh, that's the sort of knowledge only a savvy fan would know. Thank you for telling me
Fair enough. I didn't know that.
Good lord
We can expect murder
I want this so bad
No way they make the end of a race
no way they make it to the end of the first lap
Yeah first turn and everyone goes "dead"
"Geroge, what happened?!"
"No, it's just unfair. I'm leading, he wants to pass, he pushed me, I push him back, and after he pushed me off the track. It's not fair right?"
"Thank you, thank you George"
"Max, what happened with uhh, George?"
"Nothing, just an inchident in the race."
Man, the Ferrari 641 has to be one of the best Ferrari designs of all time
hell, best Formula 1 designs of all time
it just has everything it needs to have and more
And it was driven by Nigel Mansell, my personal favorite old school F1 driver, all the more reason to like it
There's a picture I want to post of Fernando Alonso
but i may run afoul of nsfw rules
sooo you know
I'll hold off
Is it a tweet
it is
In which Alonso is sticking his tongue out making a funny face
Yes it is
Seen XD
Your goats could never
Pfft
You could provide post it
It's just another Alonso situation

Ngl, if anyone knows anything about running people off, it's Hill
When he got ass fucked by Schumacher in 1994
And yeah I don't get it either
It's just very unsportaman like to do
In one scene of Transformers rise of the beasts, Mirage took the form of this
I don't wanna call it with confidence a F1 car
But perhaps you guys actually recognize what this is
Wait, I think I have found it
Now that is a deep cut
Charles Leclerc was a human meme during Grill the Grid in 2023!

Could be Drugovich's time to shine
@severe spindle @pale tinsel
THIS WAS A THING?!
Holy crap
Man these specials were unhinged
I would be amazed if so
Would be sick
I keep forgetting studio Liverpool was doing F1 games
Different times
no it was a spain only special edition
just posted bc i found it rad
He's kind of serving brat summer hi fashion model in the picture... Fernando is so ahead of the curve sometimes
hehehe
yup, he looked very different back then
You almost can't even recognize him
I always see the Porsche 917 in many different shapes and forms, so I decided to check and see what it was, how it did, where it raced, and etc etc.
Here's how it did as a short summery:
1969:
- Developed and released the Porsche 917 for Group 4 Sports cars (5.0+ displacement allowed and 25 road models needed)
- Developed and released the 917PA for Can-Am series under Group 7
- Proved too hard to control and caused DNFs and that year was won by the Ford GT MKI
1970:
- FIA changed the Group 4 regulations to Group 5, same prerequisites
- Developed the better 917K, managed to win in Group 5
1971:
- The new 917K variant and the 917/20 (pink pig) were developed
- 917K managed to win Le Mans again
1972:
- FIA scrapped the whole 5.0+ regulation and Group 5 became what Group 6 was until 1971, 3.0 Prototypes
- 917 for European series was scrapped
- Developed and released the 917/10 for Can-Am
1973:
- Developed and released the 917/30 for Can-Am
- It was so good that for 1974 they had to ban all Turbo engines
I just can't get over Sainz' mustache
He looks so dangerous now xd
I always wondered something about F1 games' covers however
They always put certain drivers on the cover, but is there any actual rhythm or reason?
I mean Piastri is killing the F1 season thus far, sure
But Sainz and Bearman? Especially Bearman?
The F1 24 cover had Leclerc, Hamilton and Norris
I assume it's just some business deal on who gets to be on the cover
But I do wonder if there is any actual reason
when this one got announced people joked it had 3 second drivers on the cover
these past couple years there isnt much of a recipe on who gets to be the cover on the base game
@pale tinsel @glacial pine @pale bridge HAHAHAHAH
Place you bets on which race he debuts in
Valtteri Bottas on joining Red Bull:
"I think there’s certain persons, or a person, within the Red Bull organisation that, for some reason, is not a big fan of mine."
Who could dislike bottass?
Pfft, that may be the theme xd
A bit of a shame
But I guess if they did they wouldn't have many different drivers
Unbelievable
He'll end up disliking himself if he joins Redbull
Based Bottas
@pale tinsel
Read headline
HAHAHA
They can't deny that he's right, Italian taxi drivers are aggressive and are often full of it
When I went to Rome I swear the guy was going 80 on a 30, also red lights are suggestions in Italy
Peugeot has aspirations to build a new Le Mans Hypercar as part of a long-term commitment to the WEC 🛠️
Full story ⬇️
Watch them make something FAR more generic
Fun thought experiment!
If they were to field a GT3 LM car what would they base it on...
That'd be unexpected
What'll happen to the 9X8 though
Red means go pretty much, I've seen that episode of Top Gear when they're in Rome in the supercars
Silverstone
Let me play my tiny violin 🎻
Hehehe
Ferrari has scored a 1-2 podium at the 6 hours of Spa today
The Ferrari hypercar is crazy fast
Hey guys, I was curious about someone on the current F1 grid
Oliver Bearman
I know he used to race for Ferrari, is a test driver for them
And he races in HAAS with some decent level of showing given he's a rookie
But how good is he actually?
You think he could do as well as some of the other Rookies on the Grid should he be given a better car?
he was neck a neck with antonelli in f2 and they were teammates, also a lot of people rate him as the rookie of the year
i mean hes doing as well as he physically can, antonelli has hit heigher highs (tho hes on a mercedes) but you could say antonelli has had some races where he hit a lower floor than ollie has
the only rookie that cant be rated is bortoletto, the only fair comparison you can make about him is with his teammate, as the sauber has been (apart from the miracle P5 last week) significantly worse than any other car on the grid
I mean the last 3 races Antonelli hasn't finished any
Not his fault, but it still has an effect
I think Bortoletto can do better with better machinary as well, but who knows
I think Antonelli is still seen as the rookie of the year
But I frankly think Bearman is doing better considering the compromises he's having to put up with
The fact that he managed to keep racing and correct himself after Lawson's attempts at murder agasint him in Spanish GP, I honestly gained a big boost of respect for Oliver
Wait, what?
I did hear somethings about Bottas being considered for Cadillac
Along with Perez and Mick
This is formula e level shenanigans
yeah thats in case he finds a home for next season, or whenever he drives again in F1, he will have to serve a penalty he got in his last race
weird that they dont expire XD
It sure is shocking indeed
Jenson Button still has to serve a penalty from Monaco 2017
I am finding even more cancer to annoy me
