I don’t think a single team on the grid ran a full metallic paint scheme. In Aston and alpines case I think it’s a combination of base matte paint and a metallic effect wrap, either way the actual paint in 2026 looks much better

Alpines paint is satin-like in many areas

My favourite looking era of F1 cars

not to mentioned, handled like nothing else either

I've never driven a car so hell bent on understeer

But it is only because these older F1 cars were alot more lively than modern ones

I can't drive the old stuff as fast as they want to go

The 2008 aero were insane, and Honda's Earth dream livery was truly something
I'd be lying if I said I thought it looked pretty, but it was unique for sure

Will say, I never quite understood why they did it

When perenial backmarkers like Super Aguri or Force India can gather sponsors without issue
Why would Honda struggle to find sponsors

So they do this

didnt get as many sponsors as they quite wanted

so they decided to ditch all of them and do this radical campaign

But without sponsors they wouldn't have any money to operate

they operated on a big loss

leading to their eventual exit

yeah, the grid 2 maps are surprisingly good quality wise, and most of the sprints have been modded into assetto corsa. You should absolutely try Cote d' Azure, California Big Sur, Okutama and Hong Kong

Well I do usually mostly only circuits, but I should do some sprints too
Those circuits are nice in Gird 2 but the handling makes them less enjoyable

I should be able to get more out of them with AC
