@pastel ocean @jaunty crater I have begun a new career. I began with turning off ABS, TCS, start assists, DRS, ERS and Fuel assists. Then I chose Sauber Cherouz for the 6 race F2 career, and I set the difficulty to 60 to get where I am. Ironically the F2 cars are harder to drive than the F1 cars. I thought 60 would be enough for a test, but I utterly dominated F2 and won both WDC and WCC.
After finishing F2, I chose Haas for my team and now, we're doing it properly like Mario suggested. And Honestly, I did get used to it after a bit of testing. ABS makes turning brakes difficult and TCS makes it hard to gas out of corners where I come out in 2nd gear. But I have been able to somewhat master it, and i still have rewind on just as an assistent
In terms of cars, the Haas already feels much better to drive

This race was proof that miracles do exist. I underfeuled the car and went on a rich rev charge on the first few turns to make up alot of positions, then have a bit of a fight and back and forth with Leclerc and Albon for P8. I managed to keep ahead of him but Albon, Sainz and eventually Norris all passed me. However, just for my luck, on lap 10 turn 1, Sainz had engine failure and caused a safety car. Before Safety car could be deployed, I managed to pass Albon and Norris, then caught up to the back of Ricciardo during safety car. I had been in lean revs and saved up tons of battery and fuel. Soon as lights went green, rich revs and ERS on, I overtook Ricciardo and defended like hell for P5 for the final two laps
Given how much I was crashing during practices, I am super proud of this one. I managed to keep it clean and focused and even drove in Cockpit cam for better corner estimation

The qualifying went unexpectedly badly. I don't know I felt quick but I qualified really low. But I made the same strategy as before in Vietnam, and pushed hard on the first lap and then bidded my time. Kvyat had an engine failure and caused a safety car. Allowed me to get up to Norris, then had a battle with him as Sainz and Ocon caught up. On the final couple of laps, I was fighting Sainz hard
The tire life loss is so quick with this game. One lap everything feels amazing and next lap I feel like I am already losing grip

A pretty decent race if I do say so myself. I was able to keep perez behind but man is it so easy to make mistakes around this track. It costs you so much time and speed. I am generally fast around sector 1 but everywhere else everyone seems alot more competent

Sadly the qualifying at Spain just went badly for no discernable reason. Hell, the qualifying practice estimated that I'd be able to get to 3rd
And the race itself... yeah.. not good. I fucked up badly on the pitstop strategy and despite my amazing and clean push on the first lap getting up to P9, I was not able to hold it at all. Ended up getting passed by my rival Kimi on pitstop and got fucked badly by the end with the lack of power. The Mclaren of Norris was very slow itself, but I just should have done better than this
Oh and Grosjean retired due to engine failure, so yeah..
I am honestly rather confused about this race. It had all the recipe to go well. Hell, this was the first race I've 100%'ed all of my practice sessions before FP3

I can generally get just about enough rotation to make the turns

Monaco does seem to require a whole different sort of driving style which I don't feel confident with

@somber elbow because you asked for an update, just got done with the japan gp race, managed to qualify 8th after quite comfortably making Q3 with a P7, and then in the race i got quite lucky with light rain for the last 5 laps so when my old mediums were gone tsunoda and russel behind me didnt have the grip on track to manage an overtake

ay great to hear, worked hard for this build my previous house was just half in a mountain but glad to be gone from that one lol

I used the AI calculator for a time of 1:26.286 at Albert Park
And it gave me the 72 difficulty
I made a grand prix and entered with that difficulty and only was able to qualify 3rd
Already bad
But then I enter the race, and I get passed and finish 4th
I am not just bad
I am absolutely and completely useless at this game
