And on many occasions, you get a chance to a free car as well

These prize cars are integral to making any racing game's progression experience enjoyable

Because they reward you for you work, and give you a taste of what you could have if you keep up the good work and get what you want with your oen money

Forza's prize car system, AKA the wheelspin system, is based around car collecting

#

Hence it is by design easy to earn cars

#

The cars are still unique and enjoyable on their own, but obviously to those who don't appreciate the finer details of these cars, they're all just samey feeling once you get too many

#

On the other end of the sepctrum, you have games like TXR 2025 where it's almost mind numblingly difficult to make progress

#

THis is again, by design. Too few cars in the game's roster, so you have to apprecaite what you can get and do have better to make better progress

#

Forza Horizon has led heavily into the sandbox nature of these games, hence these design choices

#

While other games may have to streamline their experience and make them more grindy

#

But alas, grindiness isn't always a bad thing either
if the base game experience is fun enough, you'll bother with the grind as well

#

it's how I felt when I played Sonic Speed Simulator on Roblox

#

But I also disagree with the idea that grinding is the only way to make someone appreciate their time on a game

Rewards are as important as the grind
