Everytime I try to log in it just opens a blank browser tab, followed by trying to open the EA launcher and then it just gives me this forever

Try switching to a different browser to see if that fixes the first part.

i tried with firefox and chrome, when i initially swapped to chrome it showed me the log in page but still gave me the endless fetching data

and now if i try with either i simply don't see anything

Close KYBER. Open your EA App, go to the top left of your EA App with the three lines, Help > App Recovery > Clear Cache.
