launches the game properly but it's just regular bf2 with no levels on my characters and nothing new even though I launched it through kyber home and downloaded the bf+ mod

Did you add the exclusions for both the kyber launcher folder and the armchairdevelopers folder? Like separately? Thats all i did and it fixed it for me D:

Any suggestions for 3rd party VP? I'm using AVG and I added the folders to the exceptions list, but I still launch into the normal BF2 menu.

The add/remove exclusions option isn't available in the Windows virus menus.

I bet there’s a similar option in your 3rd party vp settings, im sure theres a way to make exclusions!

Maybe try turning it off, adding the exclusion to the default windows, then turn your 3rd party back on?

Is this a windows defender firewall issue? I can add a new rule to allow connect.

AVG (yeah yeah, I know I probably don't need it and can cause more issue than it solves) seems to change Windows settings so I can't get to defender in the normal way. I'll mess around with a few things and report back.
