Pretty much go on windows defender go on the virus protection setting scroll down to the bottom and it says exclusions
when you do it press "folder"

Yeah windows defender is on all the time
Unless you turn it all off manually
but if you do the exclusion list its meant to then ignore protecting that thing you select

bumping this because my friend and i are also being sent to the menu and not loading in. we have identical modlists
@errant tartan if this helps clarify the issue further, it goes straight to the menu on first attempt. if i leave BF2 open and try and launch the server again thru kyber, I receive this error message

Seems to just happen randomly for me, doesn’t seem to have a cause but I have heard IPv6 might sometimes cause it I normally just retry a few times till it works.

What worked for me was adding the lumina .exes (the other ones from Kyber root folder) to the windows defender exception list
