I downloaded the launcher, unpacked it, and that's it. it just won't start. I tried to run with windows7 compatibility, I tried to run as an administrator, it doesn't help. I'm from Russia and the VPN didn't help either. maybe there is a guide

That shouldn't be a problem, I'm also on Windows 11 and I don't have any problems with it

You say it won't open. Do you get any error messages? If there's no error popup, Windows might still log it.

Press Win + R, type eventvwr, and press Enter
Go to Windows Logs --> Application
Look for any error logs that match the time you tried to open the launcher

thanks daku, now I understand that I need to install windows store and windows defender back so that the smartscreen error disappears and I can launch the launcher.

Well, I just disabled smartscreen through the registry and it worked.
