Hot take time: Johnny Cash’s Hurt is a terrible cover. It’s emotionless and flat compared to the original. There’s no buildup, his voice is almost monotone. Compare that to the raw emotion in the NIN version and it’s like night and day

(The only other major thing is Kristin has HEAVY opera training so her No One Mourns the Wicked ||is incredible, || where Arianna || trains to hit a pseudo operatic sound but doesn’t have the classical training for it to be exactly the same, which probably is actually better for most people, where that operatic sound can get tiring and so it becomes more of a movie-centric sound, but loses that stage quality||)

I use Apple Music because I'm part of a family plan. Better than paying for ad-free Spotify. That app, or rather the company behind it, is scummy enough that I don't want to give it my money. re:replacing Spotify, I'll always always always advocate for a music storefront like Bandcamp, personally. I'll admit that I got to dodge a lot of the negatives (mainly the fact you have to buy or download everything you want to listen to) because I took a lot longer to switch to Spotify, even before I switched off it, but it really is so nice just getting to have it all on my phone and not needing to worry about anything else

I know LadyOfScars is like Jihyo is so good in that version of Takedown but I don't know I kind of don't like the vocals nearly as much in the twice one
I am apparently top 0.1% of people on YouTube music listening to Takedown though which is fun xD it's a very good bop to just write through and have on repeat forever
