Korra is an alright show (mostly the second half) but pales in comparison to ATLA. Not a fan of The Owl House, though I might give it another chance someday. Love Amphibia but it’s… nuclear bomb vs coughing baby

Still baffled at how The Dragon Prince was managed. I was an active member of the fandom years ago and met good online friends through it. But seasons 4-7 were just… painful.

All three cartoon channels are dead, their streaming services don’t care about animated shows, and I highly doubt anything of phenomenal quality will come out of them anytime soon.

My only hope lies in adult animation. Good thing there’s phenomenal adult series like Primal (though I need to watch past S1) or Blue Eye Samurai. But I don’t think those scratch the same itch as ATLA

Sorry for my rant guys. Not saying bangers haven’t come out recently, I’m just upset at the state of animated shows

||Like you pointed out, she had a kid despite knowing she was going to die, this is what lead to her and the guy getting a divorce. She told him that she knew all along this was going to happen.||
||The author wanted to play around with determinism a bit. Iirc he thought it would be interesting if learning the future meant you wouldn't change it, not because you're powerless to do so, rather because that becomes the future that you want, even if it's something bad.||

Ted wanted to write something that would have been a kind of sci fi story at the time of the building, and it turned out really interesting. ||They hit a fold in space that took them underneath the ocean and broke through it, causing the tower to flood. But they don't realize that's what happened and all of the verbiage is through the lense of ancient people trying to explain what happened.||

It won the Emmy for best drama series, it’s real time critic ratings from RT had a handful of scores in the high 80s and the rest in the 90s, it’s IMDb ratings are mostly in the middle 50% of all episodes and 1 of them is in the top 5. Pick your metric.
And logically if it was hated generally at the time (it wasn’t but hypothetically speaking) does it make sense that people are that disappointed by 8? If 7 was bad wouldn’t that be been expected?

That’s not to say 7 is perfect. I know there are aspects that people don’t like but to say it’s widely hated or even bad is just like… ahistoric

The first words of mine ever to appear in print were “Dear Stan and Jack.” They appeared in Fantastic Four #20, dated August 1963, in the letter column. My letter of comment was insightful, intelligent, analytical—the main thrust of it was that Shakespeare had better move on over now that Stan Lee had arrived. At the end of my words of approbation, Stan and Jack printed my name and address.

Having been published in the Fantastic Four, it was no challenge to get my letters printed by fanzines. Before long I was seeing my name in print all over the place. Stan and Jack published more of my LOCs as well.

The 90s show is pretty good. Has its hangups of course. Is the source of the most common interpretation of the symbiote in other adaptions which...has its pros and cons

Mario Galaxy Movie ||I am disappointed. The references were fun but somehow the movie named after the galaxy games had minimal refrences :/ the worst part was I saw lots and lots of opportunities to incorporate actual galaxies from the games, but it felt like the movie wanted to pay attention to multiple series... which isnt bad. Its just not a Galaxy movie||

all the most well known ghibli movies look fantastic, it's hard to pick a favorite but I'd probably say one of those

if you enjoyed the nausicaa movie I recommend checking out the manga, the movie only covers about 1/6 of the full story and miyazaki's art in the manga is stunning
