The biggest thing that irks me about it is Kevin no longer having autism in the new timeline. It's par for the course for the era, but really shoulda been done differently.||
||I liked Henry and Grace falling in love way too much to be upset with the new timeline stuff, plus Fargo learning that he wasn't destined to be an eternal screwup was nice.||

Jack had to re-break up with Tess, Fargo had to learn how to be director, Jo had to decide if she wanted to recreate her relationship with Zane, Henry had to find the best way to open up to Grace. and then later in the season Henry went to prison because new timeline Henry was in cahoots with Beverly. Plus, everything with Trevor Grant.||
||Sure, there could have been more stuff, but there was fallout from the time travel.||

the pitt 2.12 ||yeah actually this ep is very intensely ... interpersonal. it's really interesting last episode having a BUNCH of conflicts bubble up and seeing that everyone is responding differently, to each other, things change depending on who's talking privately with whom, certain one-on-ones are adding to some characters' stress and some are doing the opposite, who's challenging whom vs who's telling the other person they're valid. it's kind of just really fascinating writing.||

TBF strange new worlds, good as it is, is in many ways closer to what they want and closer to what they think TOS was.

It , at times, feels more Stargate that Star Trek to me.

But people also forget how the times change and how transgressive Star Trek was for its time.

Deep Space Nine also had ladies kissing in a couple of episodes which wasn't all that common in the early/mid nineties either
