It could work more often than people think. As a couple of examples, the first Ms Marvel solo comic would only need minor adjustments, and the original Runaways would need basically none

I don't think they should adapt a comic run that is ongoing yet.

They should let Absolute go off on their own before adapting it. Firstly, it lets the creator make an identity for the comics without the interference of the adaptations.

Secondly, the adaptations can learn from the comics after they had finished by doing what needs to be done and what not to be done.

This can only happen when there is an actual end that is in sight unlike something ongoing where if an adaptation needs to change something they wouldn't know because the story hasn't ended yet

Even so, it's definitely a sci-fi show that gets into some wacky stuff, like (Fringe general) ||Superhuman mind powers, time travel, and parallel universes.||

The entire thing of saw is brutal traps from people having to cut of their owl legs to pulling fishing line out of their guts to reaching into a vial of acid to unlock a machine tied to their rib cage or else it opens up to rip out all their ribs

all of which they're trying to keep as close to real as possible

I watched a reaction by a person with a phobia of needles and they were wincing every episode

the very first trauma patient in the show (e1) had ||a leg injury so bad I had to cover it with my hand for a bit on the first watch||

it truly is one of the best ways to really nail down to the gen pub what health care workers go though. The pitt being a single shift of an er that honesly is on the worse end but not worst shifts possible is a great way to show what happens on the regular

Yeah even though I’ve heard about some of the MS3 and residency experience, it’s not like you get an entire day’s play by play or anything along those lines. Seeing it visualized and attached to a time scale definitely had a certain impact and way of providing some additional perspective and context that I think will be helpful in better understanding a bit of what my gf experiences day to day

Dunk and Egg is a much different series than ASoiaf anyway. ||I think the point of the story is it has an element of theatrics to it a sense of dramatic irony. The depth added by a sense of regret at being alive it has at the end for both of the remaining adults in the room is a massive reason the story works. Adaptation doesn’t just mean taking thing from book and putting it on screen. The best movie I saw this year was an adaptation of a novel from the 90s and the changed lots of things from the book and we got One Battle After Another. I firmly believe that being too tied to source material makes worse shows.
