It seems they deliberately chose to make it one quadrant of space in repelling and all the military action and events there which is pretty logical

I think it speaks a little to how the Disney stuff seems to want to hop all over the place tho

He does not fit their conception of Bond as a very specific picture of suave masculininty. I think both in build(he is small framed) but also in the roles he has played where it tends a bit more towards comedy.

Like (ORV live action vs. webtoon) ||one character is famous for being a swordswoman but they thought too many characters have swords so let’s give her a gun. Her power set is based on a historical Korean figure, so her using a sword makes sense. Several characters are shown with guns. The original novel and webtoon explain guns were not a thing in the story because they lacked the magical ability to keep up with other artifact weapons and magic things||

||I'm not sure how I feel about them putting the reveal that Grace wasn't meant to go on the missing right at the start of it||

Other than that, really, the trailer looks pretty good. I don't think Ryan Gosling has the same vibe as the Grace in my head, but the way he seems to be portraying the character looks just as good

I also wish the part of Ryland testing out the speed that objects fall/travel was included in the trailer. The "I'm in another solar system" part was what really hooked me into the book||

Same. I learned of Project Hail Mary the day it relseased, so I bought it and started listening without looking at anything about it.
||Ryland waking up and the audience getting like fourteen question right from the first line hooked me immediately. Why is this computer asking him math questions? Who is this fella? Where is he? Why can't he remember anything? Why does he keep saying the whole world feels weird? WHOA ROBOT ARMS???||

Like, I genuinely think if the trailer was just a speedrun version of the opening scene from the book it would be just as engaging to the target audience.

This is true. I typically tailer my pitch based on the person I'm selling the book to. I read it becaue I loved The Martian and I'll read anything Andy Weir writes.

To my old college roommate||, a physicist to who is the Grace to my Rocky, I told him it's about an engineer and a scientist working together to fix the sun.||
To my friend who likes lovecraft imagery||, I simply told him about Rocky||

Arcane S2 ||I agree. The shift in focus just damages a lot of the storytelling, especially when it ended up requiring a complete rework of Viktor in League. Before he was a steampunk esque robot who surpassed human limits to become machine and transcend humanity. The show made him suddenly this magical messianic figure, losing all of the complete technological vibe.
And Idk I think Vi, Caitlyn, and Jinx are all over the place writing wise with Vi and Caitlyn lacking personality traits outside of “I must help Jinx” and “I must kill Jinx”. Like they are very one dimensional characters for me. And Jinx… I don’t think they knew fully what was going on with Jinx and this led to walking backward on her in S2, acting like she wasn’t as much of a menace as she was ||

||Vi and Caitlyn both fully feel like characters that are not characters that can stand on their own, external to each other and Jinx||

||I think they wanted something to happen here that was Big Magic, and I get that, but having Viktor just inexplicably become a Marvel villain when the rest of the show had had really compelling antagonists from a character and social commentary standpoint felt like such a flop||

||I felt like Mel was the same problem in reverse. She just kind of leaves the show for two acts to become god-differently only she's pitched as the protagonist without ever really diving into why she should be the protagonist, except she's helping out against Viktor's attempt to erase humanity so I guess there we go||

What they did in s2 stripped away everything the character was known for (his technological skill) as well as his very real reasons for doing what he did||

I think the themes of the film are intertwined with modern and old british politics and it wouldn't be the first time the film series has covered these sort of themes. If there is an issue I personally think it stems from the movie being half baked and not very good||

||This kind of thing stems from the main island and community where the child main character is from and the end of the film is the child rejecting their way of living and going off to find his own path, if that helps||
