It's not really a meaningful comparison because whatever both are masterpieces

but Heaven Sent is like, utterly fantastic at doing one thing

while The Doctor Falls is like

it's somehow encompassing of several different characters and saying fantastically interesting things about all of them

it gets at the core of who the Doctor is, and stretches both the completely down to earth and human, and the adventurous and fantastical

She's also just more annoyed with Lilo in general . I dont have hatred in my heart for many things (only 2 in fact), but this... this movie fills me with unparalleled rage

I was seeing comments from someone in another server who is from Hawaii that || People are saying that Nani gave up Lilo. But that didn't happen. Nani lost Lilo because she wasn't able to provide a safe and stable home, but their hanai family was willing to care for Lilo, which is probably the best, most realistic option. And that a teenager looking after a younger sibling isn’t a happy ending either. That there’s a wider Hanai family that people are missing.||

I will say I am just repeating things, I haven’t even watched the original movie.

i think i noticed during the last few episodes of this season that like. this era is really missing having room to breathe. i feel like so many episodes are so rushed, and are trying to do so many things, that we don't have time for the doctor to just like, show up somewhere and experience the premise of the episode. to figure out what alien thing is going on by talking to people and asking questions. to actually interact with the side characters and make them feel real.

not every episode has this issue, The Well felt like back to normal on this, but it's really weird because i think the first 10 seasons of NuWho were totally fine and consistent about this, so it's weird that it's such a consistent problem now
