#Pop!_OS – CS2 Fullscreen only shows 60Hz & 120Hz on 240Hz OLED G9 (works fine elsewhere)

OS: Pop!_OS 22.04
Hardware: Intel i7-13700KF, NVIDIA RTX 3080, Samsung OLED G9 (240Hz)

Problem:
Everything runs perfectly on my system — the desktop runs at 240Hz, and most games detect and use the full 240Hz refresh rate without issues. However, in CS2, if I switch the display mode to fullscreen, it only shows 60Hz and 120Hz as available refresh rates. 240Hz doesn't appear in the list.

What I’m doing / have tried:

Running CS2 in fullscreen windowed works fine and gives 240Hz, but I want to use proper fullscreen for lower input lag.

I’ve confirmed that 240Hz is enabled in the display settings and works in other games and on the desktop.

Using latest NVIDIA drivers from Pop!_OS.

Question:
Has anyone encountered this issue on Linux/Pop!_OS with CS2 and high refresh rate monitors? Is there a fix to make CS2 detect 240Hz in fullscreen mode?

Thanks in advance!

Is the hdmi \ whatever cord it uses plugged into the graphics card?

Installing the nvidia driver should have installed some nvidia server type software...see if you can adjust the resolution through there.

Resolution and refresh rate are two different things aren't they? 🤔
