Hey, I'm trying to dualboot Bazzite and Ubuntu Server. I'm inexperienced with Linux generally and don't know how to shrink my partition for Bazzite from my Ubuntu Server live installer. I don't want to run commands I don't understand and I don't know if tutorials I'm seeing on searches are what I want, and I don't want to break my current Bazzite install

I chose custom storage layout, but there's no option to shrink the partition I want to use

I believe I have Bazzite 42 on the computer, and Ubuntu Server 24.04 LTS live installer

The resize command does not manipulate the size of underlying partition. If you wish to enlarge/reduce a filesystem, you must make sure you expand the partition before enlarging the filesystem and shrink the partition after reducing the size of the filesystem. This can be done using fdisk(8) or parted(8) to delete the existing partition and recreate it with the new desired size. When recreating the partition make sure to use the same starting partition offset as before.

personally I would recommend using cfdisk
