#Ubuntu Checks failed and Secure boot problems

Desktop Linux users usually turn off secure boot, especially if you need out-of-tree drivers like nvidia, so I wouldn't consider that an actual problem in itself. This is a live boot? You're preparing to install and got these errors?

#

What hardware do you have? (laptop model, or desktop motherboard+cpu+etc)

gwtc71427-bk

#

and yes everything is running fine but i’m still worried about this

native jasper
#

gateway is still making computers? crazy.

modern jacinth
#

i know

#

but acer bought them

modern jacinth
#

i’m right now dual booting it with windows 11

modern jacinth
#

yeah

#

it works and everything

#

but in the first image

#

it says so called problems

#

i don’t know if i should be worried or not

native jasper
#

looks like maybe a bunch of temperature sensors that don't work with that kernel version

#

@native jasper

#

help

#

how do i undo this

native jasper
#

do not do that

modern jacinth
#

to late

native jasper
#

it's greyed out and downvoted for a reason

modern jacinth
#

how to undo it

native jasper
#

dunno, I don't use ubuntu

#

why would you run something from the dimmed out comment with a specific warning in a comment right below it?

#

what version of ubuntu was this? 24.04?

modern jacinth
#

lts

#

ubuntu lts the newest one

native jasper
#

yeah, 24.04 then

modern jacinth
#

will i be fine

modern jacinth
#

24.04.2

native jasper
#

not terribly important

modern jacinth
#

so am i cooked

native jasper
#

how much happened when you rant he command?

#

did it just say okay and quit

#

or did it start updating packages?

modern jacinth
#

it says there is no development version

native jasper
#

yeah, don't upgrade to a dev release, not worth it if you're not familiar enough with linux to be able to provide bug reports back to canonical

modern jacinth
#

i’m gonna assume i’m safe for now

native jasper
#

seems like it

modern jacinth
#

and seems like devolpler one not enabled

#

@native jasper so since the developer one not enabled what do you recommend i do

#

leave ubuntu as it is

native jasper
#

if it's working to your satisfaction, then yeah, pretty much. You could also try booting the live installer again and check for the same erors, then boot up a fedora live installer and check for them there too

modern jacinth
#

the errors are not affecting what i wanna do

#

so i’ll just ignore them
