Will my laptop keyboard work fine on Linux? Keys like volume/brightness control?

Can I use the top row of keys to control those things? Will my backlit keyboard work? Will my fingerprint sensor work? Do you think my power button will work?
I currently use TouchCursor for windows and I plan on using TouchCursor on Linux to compensate for my right arrow key.... Also, anything related to the keyboard I should be wary of? On Linux....
And is there a way to remap my keyboard and especially the top row to do the same they can now?
Rn I can use Fn+Esc to engage Fn and can use the top row for F keys, otherwise You can see the icons and what they're used for.....

I plan on using nobara official 39 ||not the gnome one||
asus laptop... currently Us english layout

The power button, top keyboard, backlight keyboard, fn should work properly on Linux if the hardware is compatible (which you should check)

i think some fingerprints work though in my expereince they need some extra configuration - though i never really tried so 🤷

yeap like how i can control volume/brightness/backlight usually and engage Fn+Esc to use them as F keys 1-12

i forgot what website i checked but i basically googled it - it is usually not distro specfic (unless maybe if you are using newer hardware)

probably - i mean i heard people who have to do some extra configuration though - honestly bc everything was (mostly) working under the box for me, i don't really have much experince with hardware failing

i couldn't install ffmpeg

existing was conflicting

ffmpeg-free

couldn't delete it

some software dependency

and couldn't install ffmpeg-full

all this in live env btw

idk maybe full install fixes this?

but it just didn't work

checked config file

needed to enter my keyboard name manually

still didn't work

the guys over at nobara/fedora were of no use regarding the remap thing lol

they just kep ignoring newbie problems
