I have been trying for seven hours to get unbuntu to work but haven't found a solution yet. I don't know my hardware and can't check it has the system monitor doesn't show anything.

Bascially what is happening is when I'm on the setup for Unbuntu and try to do the partitioning I end up getting the error in the title. I have tried to do manual partitions and that doesn't do anything.

I have tried to use another flash drive, another os ( Debian ), and another flasher. None of that has worked, I would still get the same error. I looked at a few forums online that had similar problems and nothing has worked. I have tried a few different partitions that were recommended on forum posts to no avail.

I don't know what to do at this point I just wanna a at home server on a linux machine. Any help would be great!

"Error" Doesn't provide any useful informaiton.

Please provide screenshot. Use your cellphone and get a clear picture, for example. Don't just provide vague "error" without details.

At least with Ubuntu, you still have access to a full desktop, and browser, and you could technically make a screenshot. Debian's normal installer, may not be so helpful, unless you use the Debian Live installer.

Please open up a terminal, and run gdisk /dev/sda

or cfdisk /dev/sda -- Or ultimately fdisk /dev/sda

I saw that and others that don't really give me too much concern. Possible issues, but it's with the amdgpu stuff which will be later better in an actual booted OS that's not an installer.

I really couldn't say. If it's taking 30 minutes to sync partition tables, all I can suggest is, something's wrong, and it's definitely hardware, or something very badly misconfigured. Based on what I saw about the lines regarding raid6, that's regarding btrfs stuff, and not really relevant to anything I had original concerns for.

So I tried to flash the file and got it but the iso file isn't a bootable drive even though the website you provided said it was. So when I boot the computer and run the flash drive nothing happens.
