Can't open link from within application | Linux For All | Page 1

I'm trying to use the Technic Launcher (https://www.technicpack.net/) and so downloaded the jar and that's working. Before I can use it I need to log in. This has to be done with a link to login.live.com (microsoft) to authorize it. Thing is that the link does not open; it just doesn't. I've tried changing the default browser to Google Chrome, Firefox and Opera without any change. I was wondering if any of you guys know how to fix this or maybe even know a little workaround since it's a one time thing.

The program starts just fine as far I know. Or I'm understanding you incorrectly.

sudo java -jar TechnicLauncher.jar 
[sudo] password for compjeuter: 
Settings for exe: /home/compjeuter/Downloads/TechnicLauncher/TechnicLauncher.jar
Portable settings dir: /home/compjeuter/Downloads/TechnicLauncher/technic

does something come up in the terminal when u press the link?

it also may be having a problem with u running it as root

No, after it starts I get control back of the terminal. I'm fairly new to linux btw

just try running it without sudo
