You would need an RDP client, like Remmina, krdc, xrdp, etc.

#

And who cares if it doesn't match a random (old? New?) picture? Use your eyes. 🙂

So you need to install the proper protocols.

I have no idea how this works

In Fedora this is in packages like remmina-plugins-rdp

I managed to connect to my VPS but only getting access to the terminal

#

I want a remote desktop connection if that makes any sense

YOu want RDP, like I said. Twice now. 🙂

#

What distro are you actually on? You never provided required details like that.

#

Manjaro, or Arch Linux, or some fork of Arch Linux?

fiery ridge
#

idk if it's arch or manjaro

So, EndeavourOS.

#

It's neither.

#

It's EndeavourOS.

#

Based on Arch, but a fork of Arch.

okay

So, have you installed freerdp?

And, here's the common plug I give. Arch Linux and forks of, are not good for newbies to Linux. I recommend strongly against them as they generally require technical knowledge and are more prone to breaking due to the nature of their "rolling" bleeding edge releases. They also require you to do your own research, and if you're unwilling to do so, then that'll be a constant problem for you.

#

Good luck.

This is the only thing I've been struggling with but yeah sure I'll keep that in mind
