Hi folks, I am trying to connect to my Jammy desktop from my windows 10 desktop using MS RDP -- I have it set up with a password that I specified in the remote desktop settings for Jammy -- every time I reboot, the password setting in jammy changes -- can someone please help me figure this out

What’s a “jammy” and what desktop environment, and how do you even have rdp setup?

Jammy is Ubuntu Jammy LTS, In Gnome, and It is the remote desktop software that gomes with gnome in Ubunut

I have set it repeatedly in there and it will not persist -- ive set it as my user, and as admin -- neither works

"and as admin?"

Was just getting Ubuntu 22.04 installed in a VM to get a direct look in, but, please clarify what you mean by "and as admin", because you should /never/ ever run a DE as root.

Settings app -> Sharing, verify top option is in the On(right) position, click Remote Desktop, verify Remote Desktop is enabled, down in Authentication, click the eyeball on the right and verify your password is set accordingly. In Current Ubuntu 22.04, initial install, and all updates applied, this consistently works.
