then which one should i go with? or do i just run make. if thats even in this distro :t

when i run make in the folder with the make file this is what i get

Do you have whatever header files your distribution provides installed?

hearty oracle
#

no clue what that means

ember parrot
#

If you don't know what a header file is then I'd suggest not using a distribution that utilizes containers and an immutable filesystem w/ layering.
But yes, that's a good place to start

honestly i have no way to change os at this point

#

in order for me to do that id have to rip apart my laptop entirely to get to the hard drive

ember parrot
#

Why would you have to access the hard drive to install a separate operating system. In any case, whatever package contains your header files is what you want.

Then the Emerge build example at the bottom of the page is likely the most useful one for you.

#

You need to put the kernel you're using under the includes section

im looking threw the emerga ebuild example to try and figure out some clue of what your saying, only guess i have is in the folder named includes?

#

unless your talking about in the make file? then in that case there are several things marked include but none of them seam to be a area to add that? im so sorry im beyond confused

#

eselect 1.4.20

This failure is because the kernel module folder doesn't exist

#

kernel module build folder*

hearty oracle
#

ok, so what do i do to fix this?

ember parrot

mocaccino utilizes containers to build everything. You need to set up the build system and do it through their method.

ok

update that seams to only work for ymal files?
