From FilterBlade FAQ I saw these instructions:

I want to show/hide ALL items of a certain type or a specific item. How do I do that without editing entire sections of the filter?
A: Adding custom rules to the filter is the perfect solution for tasks like this.

Simply go to one of the custom rule section in the Customizer (there is one for endgame rares, one for leveling and one in the Misc. section for everything else).

There, you can add Show and Hide rules for specific BaseTypes, Item Slots (like Rings or Two-Hand-Axes), etc.
You can add additional filtering for ItemLevel, Rarity & Co.
The strictness of the rule determines how many of the existing rules it will overwrite.

The "Add Misc Rule" has no way to tick rare+unique.
I can't feasibly use on of the other rules (e.g. BaseType) as I'd have to select every single type to get the same effect which seems wrong.

Hi Zoey. There are no rarity options at all on the MISC rule, so this may be slightly different.

the add attribute has no rarity option on my Add MISC rule. I see only 7 basics, 1 flag and 1 other as options

you are absolutely right. there is something wrong there, let me check it out

The Misc Class-based filtering rule now has the unique option!

Ability to add a MISC rule has now gone entirely 😦

youre talking about this section, right? what does it look like to you?

yes that area has add basetype based rules, add class based rules
and also used to have an add MISC rule, which didn't have a rarity attribute.
Not there is no option to add MISC rule at all, its not heir on your screenshot either

#

*Now there is. no option..

are you sure this was all for poe2?
i dont see anything like that in our changes we did recently.

but, coming back to your initial problem:
you wanted to create a custom rule, but didnt find/have any rarity option.
now there is a rarity opion for the class-based custom rule.
isnt this what you were looking for?

how is that "misc" rule different than the class-based rule right now?
you said misc didnt have a rarity input, but you asked for one. the class-based rule now has this rarity input

I'd like a rule that is "For any rare or unique item show it", override all other rules to achieve that

#

I may have accidentally been on POE1, I do see add misc rules is on POE1. Trying this on POE1, it doesn't have add attribute for rarity on the MISC rule, so:

  1. POE1 needs that attribute adding
  2. POE2 needs the misc rule mechanism adding in, I have to wait for that new feature i guess

for poe2, you can just rightClick the class-input to select every class and set the rarity to rare and unique. thats it

#

for poe1, same thing: use the "class based" rule and just rightClick->select every class. that "misc" rule was intended for non-rarity items, such as currency and other weird stuff
