I am a new player trying to get the loot filter to work, I just used a ladder one off of the PoE website and clicked "follow" but when I try to load it in game it gives me the error pictured. When I click the folder icon, that is the location it loads... Not sure how to fix it. If it matters, I am playing through Steam, and the game is installed on my F Drive.

if you click "open folder" in the filter game settings, and then copy the path of the folder, what is that path?

It is shown on the third picture. F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Path of Exile\the chinese letters\MyGames\Path of Exile... Not sure why it is adding the chinese letters... I assumed that was the game doing that

Hmm, shouldn't be it is just Cereal Killer

perhaps try using the standalone client instead of Steam

Hmm, ok. Was just gonna use it for ease of steam link, but I can try it to test the theory, and if that fixes it at least I know where to look and try to fix it

the filter folder path seems like it got messed up, I don't know why... as far as I know it should always C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile on Win10/Win11

#

maybe it is different on Steam

#

GGG support may be able to help you also

OK, thank you for trying, at least I have a backup plan to try, and if it works, at least I will know where to start

but yeah this is 100% a GGG issue since there is no "input" from filterblade or its users that can cause this issue when syncing.

#

especially since we're talking about following the ladder filter if i see that right

After looking at it some more, and trying out the stand alone version, I found out that the "Documents" folder in the registry was wrong. After I edited it back and replaced the original Documents folder with a new one it works as intended. Thanks for all the info and advice 🙂
