As the title says and to quote your own words "Play because it's fun, and not because you feel like you have to." I feel it a fitting change.. i would suggest making it optional and making the incentive to do so, a good chunk of xp for example. Because right now it's a downright pain in the balls to get clan members to visit/cap every week 😄

Chores are not gameplay, neither are coercive pseudo-obligations (from a game mechanic POV). I agree with this 🙂

This also leads to the inevitable desperate attempts to invite more people to the clan so that the citadel stays open, or can upgrade to the next level, instead of just playing the game

I think that the reward for more members should be the ability to grow the citadel faster, but there should not be a penalty for being a small tight-knit group.

I agree with the suggestion

I think the xp is fine, also gives good bonus xp

It's already optional 🤷‍♂️ you can go cap for a a slightly increased xp bonus or you can just ignore it and only have the 3% xp bonus

I would like them to revisit the citadels later on, buy you are right. Looking at the motto, Player because it's fun, and not because you feel like you have to is a large part of this.

This fits into 'daily/weekly-scape' and should be revised at a later point
